Sending a Message  in Exception Handler

Is it possible to have a Send Step in an Exception Handler? How can I instantiate the Interface assigned to the Send step?
Regards
Mike

I am calling an RFc synchrnously and when the Response comes in that part works fine as you can build an Abstract Interface for the Response which will be your out put for the BPM when everything went well.
But in case of an Exception from the RFC for the Fault Message type you cannot define an Abstract Interface.
I got this around by out putting the Request which is still avaialble in the BPM and did an interface mapping using the Request Abstract Interface. Manipulated the mapping to get the required result.
Let me know if you can do some other way.

  • Send new message during exceptions

Currently in my BPM, i have a Exception block and 'Control Step' to trigger Alerts during exceptions.
After my control step, Could I have a Transform step and 'send step' to generate a error message and send it to different system?

    Hi SSG,
If you go with Control Step with Property "Trigger an exception", then, you will come out from that block and then you can execute the transformations step etc.
If you give the property as Trigger an Alert, then it will tigger only alert. Control automatically goes to Alert management.

  • Send Alerts(e-mail) for errors in SXMB_MONI(message mapping exceptions)

    Good afternoon !
I´m configuring SAP Netweaver PI 7.0(SP13) to use Alert Framework to send Alerts when errors occurs in the interfaces processing.
I just achieved configure to send alerts when errors ocurrs in the Adapter Framework but, I can´t configure correctly to send alerts when errors ocurred only in SXMB_MONI(for example, message mapping exception in asyncronous interface).
I just followed the instructions at Michal Krawczyk
weblog(/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step) and, initially, this was not sufficient to start to send alert when errors occurs only on SXMB_MONI, so, I researched and found some configurations to do in CCMS(started from here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/e3/bf3b7a8ccb8040b638ff732c551aeb/content.htm), jobs to start events collectors, etc, and after this, I could see a mail for an message mapping exception. BUT, this message, sent from CCMS to ALM, doesn´t carry out all the message parameters, like message Id, sender(service, interface), receiver(service, interface), that is very important to help to find the message with errors to be solved.
There is somebody here that already done the Alert configuration to send messages for errors found only in SXMB_MONI(Monitor for processed XML Messages) ?
There is a better way to achieve this ?
            Thank you for your attention,

  • A Question About Message Driven Bean Exception Handling

"Your onMessage method should handle all exceptions. It must not throw checked exceptions, and throwing a RuntimeException is considered a programming error."
The above sentence is from the JMS documentation.
I will use a message driven bean for guarenteeing to send an email with some critical info in case of an unexpected system failure. Say I was not able to save into db some critical info, therefore I want to send that info to myself with a mail to be able to handle that situation manually. Now in case of failure I will send a message to a queue which contains the critical info, and a message driven bean will listen for the message and send email to me. But what if the message driven bean fails ? If I am to handle any exceptions on my onMessage method, how will the messaging system be able to redeliver that message ? It seems to me the message will not remain in the queue anymore(I have consumed it) ?
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

You can configure your queue to guarantee delivery. If you use JTA you can also make it transational, so the message is put back on the queue in the event of failure. Your configuration should also include max retries and a failure queue to make sure you don't get stuck in an infinite loop where a message can never be processed.
Which app server are you using? WebLogic makes it pretty easy to set these config parameters.

  • Exception handling with fault message type not working

    Hi,
I have a sync proxy to proxy scenario and I have created a fault MT and specified in the outbound and Inbound service interface...
*In Inbound proxy I have the following code--*......
    RAISE EXCEPTION TYPE z_cx_test_fault
    EXPORTING
    standard = l_standard_data.
In the sender side abap code which calls the outbound proxy I have the follwing code -
    CATCH cx_ai_system_fault INTO lo_cx_ai_system_fault.
    txt = lo_cx_ai_system_fault->get_text( ).
    WRITE txt.
    CATCH z_cx_test_fault INTO lo_cx_test_fault.
    txt = lo_cx_standard_message_fault->get_text( ).
    WRITE txt.
    CATCH cx_ai_application_fault INTO lo_cx_ai_application_fault.
    txt = lo_cx_ai_application_fault->get_text( ).
    WRITE txt.
when i test the inbound proxy separately I get the custom fault message properly...
however when i run the proxy to proxy sync scenario and the custom exceptionz_cx_test_fault  is raised inside the receiver proxy .......control goes to CATCH cx_ai_application_fault    and not CATCH  z_cx_test_fault .
I understand that cx_ai_application_fault is the super class of all the exception class but why does control go to its exception handling when a custom exception is raised...

    Hi
I tried changing the sequence also but it did not work...
I can see an appropriate response coming from the receiver in SXMB_MONI of PI...this response has the "fault response "
"fault detail" data that I want.....however when the control goes to the sender why does it go to CATCH CX_AI_APPLICATION_FAULT and not not my CATCH z_cx_test_fault .
My observation - If I change the scenario to SOAP to Proxy sync..then the sender SOAP client gets the appropriate custom fault message back.

Bug: BLZ-93 - When a producer sends a message to a secure destination with no credentials it causes a security exception to get logged with a log level of error.
    QA: Yes
    Doc: No
    Details:
Updates to catch-all exception logging hinge points on the server to use a new method on MessageException that protects against repeat logging of the same exception as we unwind the call stack on the server, as well as allowing exception subclasses to control the log level, intro text and inclusion of a full stack trace in the logged output. This allows things like SecurityExceptions, which represent common errors like incorrect user credentials, to avoid polluting the log with error-level logging and stack traces. It also consolidates our catch-all handling for MessageExceptions and their subclasses in a single point, avoiding problems with needing to make updates or tweaks to our logging output in multiple places.

  • Exception handling for mis-addressed messages

We are using ebXML messaging in WLI. In many of our workflows we start new conversations with trading partners based on the contents of address fields in the messages. Now and again during development a message comes in which is addressed to a TP who doesn't exist. The message fails to be sent and rolls back repeatedly. Is there a simple way to remove these messages from the WLI hub? Can exception handling be used to move messages which are failing to enter the workflows to a special queue automatically?
    thanks
    Ben

    Hi Holger,
I will not translate the coding into VB. So if you want to do this it is OK with me.
An idea would be after some testing by the community to provide the functionality as a DLL. This way it could also easily be added to a VB project.
However I assume that some developers prefer to integrate the coding themselves so that they might add additional customer specific functionlity.
For example not to raise an exception if a specific error is in the return parameter because they want to ignore it.

    Andre

  • Exception handling of Transport acknowledgement in asynchronous send in BPM

    HI,
A silly question, but your help would be greatly appreciated..
    - I have a asynch send step in a BPM for sending data to the target system through RFC
    - It has acknoweledgement property of this send step is set to transport acknowledgement
    - The exception property of this send step is set to throw a 'RFCException'
    - This send step is inside a block
    - This block also has an Exception branch which catches this 'RFCException'
    - now my RFC channel failed for some known reason, but the flow never went into the Exception branch
IS this behaviour of the 'transport acknowledgement' property of an asynch send step in BPM expected ?
What should I take care so that if my RFC receiver channel throws an exception, the flow of my BPM goes to the exception branch ??

    - now my RFC channel failed for some known reason, but the flow never went into the Exception branch

What should I take care so that if my RFC receiver channel throws an exception, the flow of my BPM goes to the exception

When an exception is caught by the Transport Acknowledgement it will trigger the Exception branch (if the send step is defined inside a Block with an Exception Branch)
I think you have not defined (and then assigned) a proper Exception Handler for the Block.
Click on the Block and define an Exception Handler......click on the Exception Branch and then select the Exception Handler from the dropdown......if this is not done then the Exception Branch wont be executed.....perform a check on your BPM in IR (using F7) you may get some warnings.

    Abhishek.

    Hi Rashmi,
I also think your problem is data related.
Check the response in your SAP PI message monitor (SXMB_MONI) when you trigger a request using SoapUI. It sometimes provides a bit more detail. You design (data types, message types, service interfaces etc.) was done in SAP PI 7 then an Abap Proxy was generated from the service interface?
Sometimes there is an issue between the XSD data type declaration in SAP PI and the conversion to Abap data types that takes place when a proxy is generated from a PI Service Interface.
Check the data that you pass in your request, especially those like datetime fields. Maybe even change some of the data type definitions (like datetime) to a string (request & response) & then test through SoapUI & see if you still get the error. Then you can work out how to best resolve it.

But now I come across with some problems in Chinausing local carrier, everything is working properly except sending text message, and iMessage and Facetime also seem not to work. This is very serious for Apple and me! Will I have the chance to fix this?
I tried all the possible solutions from the Internet, and the Official solution offered by Apple (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4459), but it doesn't seem to work.
Will Apple help me with this issue? Please do.

I had the same problem.  Kept getting message of waiting for activation or check network connections.  I also tried every solution out there and nothing worked.  This did though:  I download the newest version of itunes (through Internet Explorer - Google Chrome wouldn't work).  It pulled in my entire library thank goodness and then I plugged my iphone 4s into the computer.  I let itunes find it, did a complete backup in icloud, then did a restore.  Entire process took a couple of hours, but I now have imessage and facetime back.  I was about ready to give up on Apple and go get a different phone ~

    Hi,
you may be interested in a solution I tracked down at http://support.bea.com/application?namespace=askbea&origin=ask_bea.jsp&event=button.search_ask_bea&askbea_display=relevancy&askbea_max_number_returned=50&question=weblogic.jms.common.JMSException%3A+Connection+not+found&all_bea_products=all_bea_products&ES=ES#
Basically : you need to have your Weblogic servers, JMS servers and JMS stores
on each domain named uniquely !!!

    Hi.
I have a situation where I am sending an JMS message to external queue
    on Weblogic
Server which is not part of cluster. This happens in a session bean, which
    is wrapped
in a container transaction. I have supplied the required security credentials
    like user, password etc.
I get an error while tryign to send the message through bean. The stack
    trace
    is :
    weblogic.jms.common.JMSException: Connection not found
    at weblogic.jms.dispatcher.InvocableManager.invocableFind(InvocableManager.java:136)
    at weblogic.jms.dispatcher.Request.wrappedFiniteStateMachine(Request.java:596)
    at weblogic.jms.dispatcher.DispatcherImpl.dispatchSync(DispatcherImpl.java:153)
    at weblogic.jms.client.JMSConnection.createSessionInternal(JMSConnection.java:400)
    at weblogic.jms.client.JMSConnection.createQueueSession(JMSConnection.java:347)
also one thing interesting is that if I call the same server and queue
    outside
of the session bean,it works fine.
Any ideas what might be causing the issue?
    Thanks
    Andy

  • I just purchased a note 3.  Everything works well except I cannot send text messages.  I can receive them, but I get an error message when I try to send them

Can anyone tell me why I cannot send text messages on my note 3?   I can receive them, but when I attempt to send them I get an error message unable to send . . .  It's a brand new phone.

Congratulations on your new phone, Nonaleigh.
We would love to get to the bottom of your message mystery.
I'm guessing you are getting the error for all messages you attempt to send, is that correct?
What type of phone did you upgrade from? We ask because if you have switched from an Apple device (e.g., iPhone) to a non-Apple device (e.g., Android, Blackberry, etc.) and previously used the iMessage service, you may experience issues sending/receiving SMS/MMS messages with Apple device users. You need to deactivate the iMessage service within your Apple account to restore normal SMS/MMS functionality.
