Sending an email link to a friend

When I send an email link to a friend so they can see a preview of a song or music video, which email address is it sent from? The one I specify on the request, (in other words, the "from" field) or the email address listed in "my info"?

It won't show up there because it's not sent from your server. Try sending one to yourself from the store and see what it says.

Sending Unique email links from APEX

Hello folks,
I wonder if i can create a email form that can allow the users to choose the Recipients address from the DB ( I have a table with the email addresses) & to send them a link for a Survey application, BUT my idea is to use a parameter for the email address with the link ....so once the recipients receive the link they will be allowed to Submit the survey ONLY ONCE by checking the parameter value?!!

My idea was about sending the survey link for my customers by email..once they click & submitted responds it will Not allow him to use the link again..even if he forwarded to another email, to prevent the customer from submitting the survey more than once by using different emails address!!...
I Dunno if this idea is logical or poor ...i need ur advices all..
I customers are login through "PUBLIC_USER" ...
- Yes its logic to generate Unique ID , but my table is already have my Transaction Unique ID ,and still the user can use the link again to submit the results because he use "PUBLIC_USER" on login.
-I am using the email address column in the transaction table to check if the user had already submitted the survey or no, but am not using a field in the survey to ask for the user email address, if i did, still the user can use more than one email to submit the survey.
-I will check the SYS_GUID. Can I add this generated Key to the Application link?! so each user can get the link like this
ex " APEX application Link+ SYS_GUID key"?!! instant of using the email parameter?
Please advice if am missing somthing or my idea is not logic...

Can't send an email link

When I highlight a web address to send in an email, R click copy,open an email,L click paste, the address doesn't paste. Instead a number of bookmark addresses paste.
OR if I use the AWESOME TAB, click "send link", I still don't get the address I want in the email.
Previous Firefox did not deal me a fit on this. What do I need to learn?

Open Mac Mail.
From the Mail menu bar click Mail > Preferences then select the General tab.
Select Mail.app from the pop up menu next to: Default email reader

When I right click the email link no longer shows up in the context menu in FF 16

Ever since I updated to FF 16 I no longer see the option to send an email link when I right click although it does still show up under file also I noticed my Speed Dial extension isn't working correctly with FF 16.

This change was a very bad idea. You've removed a very useful feature and replaced it with crap.
Please restore this feature to its original working condition.

How to implement "Email this link to a friend"

I'm developing a J2EE application in which I need to send links and the complete HTML pages (that a end user will see in the browser) to an email he specifies. I'd like to give a link "email this link to a friend" and "email this page to a friend". How do I achieve it?
My question is specifially how to get the contents of a JSP/HTML page already rendered in the browser. I can go ahead and use Java Mail API or something similar.

My understanding is, using URL class may not work,
since the required parameters are not submitted using
GET method. I can get the URL without parameters and
that may not give me the correct HTML page. Am I
missing something?The example in the tutorial uses GET mode, I suppose. But the URL class does work perfectly well with POST mode, you just have to set up things correctly. (By the way, having a report as output from a POST mode form is an abuse of the HTTP protocol, as POST is supposed to be for updating the server and GET is for getting information, which is what a report is. But I suppose that you're stuck with this.) I don't have an example of this handy but I've seen examples on these forums often enough. Or you could use the Apache Commons HttpClient package which you can find out about here.

Search Option and Send a link to a friend.

How do I work around the limitations of Muse? I am working on a website and on the site want to implement to options,
1.) I want to give visitors the ability to search for something by typing in a name. If you are looking for Jane Doe I want to be able to type in her name and her employ profile would pull up. I was informed that this could not be done in muse so what is the workaround?
2.) I also want visitors to be able to come to the site and pull up and event and send the link to a friend by typing in their email. I was told this was not possible in muse so, what would be the workarround

Both options can be done from hosting end, wherever you are hosting your site , create site search , customer profile , use html for those modules and use in Muse. These requires CRM database which Muse does not provides and only can be used with hosting platform.
If you are using Adobe hosting , you can surely use site search module and create customer profile system. In case you are hosting with BC, please get in touch with live chat team for Business Catalyst and they will walk through.

We went through my friend's phone and my daughter's email and phone number are not in it. I have never given my daughter's iphone number to my friend. Is it something to do with gmail or my apple id? My daughter (14) has been using my computer as her "base" for HER Iphone.
My friend does use her iphone number as an email address as well.
For instance: her phone number might look like this: (493) 305-3958
and her email address would look like this: [email protected]
If I Iphone/email my friend, she receives it as a text message. Then if she replies to that text message, it goes to my daughter's phone and not mine. It's completely crazy! We searched her phone contacts and did not find my daughter's phone number anywhere or attached anywhere to mine. Since when does Iphone emailing wind up in the text messaging area?

When I try to send a webpage in Firefox (file-email link), Thunderbird crashes. If I copy & paste same link by hand, it works. Why is this?

When I try to send a web link in Firefox (file-email link), Thunderbird hangs, or I should say the email with the link hangs. The new email shows the link, I add an email address and click send, Thunderbird hangs and never completes the send. I have to copy and paste the link by hand in a new email and then it works. It seems to be an issue regarding how Firefox and Thunderbird are communicating.
My server uses IMAP. I don't have this problem with POP, but I prefer to use IMAP.

How to use Yahoo Mail to send email using email links on webpages

When I'm on a webpage that has a link to send an email, I cut and paste the the email address (which is the link) and paste it into my Yahoo Mail address bar. However, some webpages don't show the email address as a link. Instead, the link might be "write me" or "send mail", so I can't cut and paste an address.
If I click on an email link, a window pops up that says "Welcome to Mail" and it states that the assistant will guide me through the steps to configure my email account. To get started, this assistant requires a password that I don't possess.
So I'm stuck not being able to access an email application that I don't want to use in the first place.
Is there a way to set up my computer so that I could click an email link on a webpage and have Yahoo Mail pop up?
If not, is there at least a way to send an email using an email link that doesn't show the email address, without using (what I assume to be) the Apple mail Application? If it is necessary, how do I recover the password for the mail assistant? I'm not aware of ever having used or set up a password before.

If you don't want Mail to open, don't click on the app. If it's opening at login, right click its Dock icon>Option>de-select Open at Login.

Hi,
If you are using a Workflow, in the send mail step type, simply write the e-mail link and press enter.
when the user sees the same in the outlook, he will get them as a link but this does not happens when the mail is seen in the SAp INBOX.
if you are using the FM, give the document type as 'HTM', to send mail.
This will work for you.

Using ui5 to send an email with a link in the body of the email

From my ui5 I hit a button and can successfully open outlook and send an email using the code below.

If the body of the email is plain text all is well. My problem is that I want to include a link in the body of the email. I have tried using
<a href = "http:mystuff here" >Click here to open the form</a> in the body but it comes literally with the <a href... in the body.
Is it possible to place a link into the body of the email and if so how?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
You will need to show patience with the procedure and be prepared to demonstrate without question that the account belongs to you. Don’t expect access to be restored immediately and if you aren’t the owner of the Apple ID registered to the device the account won’t be reset.

When I use "Email Link" with Firefox, the "send" button in Thunderbird is grayed out.

The option of manually copying the link and pasting would work, but I've always been able to use "Email Link" from the "File" menu until the last few days.
Restarting the computer did not help.

Do you have an address in the address field? The send button stays greyed out until there is something in the address field.
