Sending an http request

Hi,
I want to send an http request with a string(this is an xml string)which will give me a response which contains an xml string again.Can anybody tell me how can i do it in java.Any sample code will be a great help

    but not able to , reason is HTTP guy telling me is that ,i am sending a get request through SAP PI 7.1 and it should be POST.

    It was always HTTP from our end , some config was missing at HTTP guys end , which solve the problem ..
    So there was no issue at PI end.

  • File.upload on Air SDK for iOS devices failed to send http request to server.

    I am trying to use ActionScript's File.upload to upload a file on Air SDK for iOS8 environment, but the File.upload does not work properly. No handler about the file upload is executed after File.upload is invoked, and no exception is caught. When I check the network traffic of the server side, I found that no http request even hit the server after File.upload is executed. The code snippet here is very simple.

    When executed on Air Simulator, it works fine as expected, and the file is successfully uploaded to the server. But When executed on iOS devices(in my case, iPad), as I explain early, no handler about the file upload is executed, and no the http request even hit the server. So I think the problem may be in the client side. It seems that the Air SDK for iOS just failed to send the http request for some reason.
    To make my problem more clear, I list my environment below:
    Development Environment:  Windows7 (64bit)  / Mac os 10.9.4 (Tested on  OS platforms.)
    IDE: Flash Builder 4.7
    Air SDK:  3.8 / 16.0.0 (After I updated to the lastest Air SDK 16.0.0 , the problem still exists.)
    Application Server:  Tomcat7 + Spring
    Target OS: iOS 8
    I have been struggling for this for days. So I really appreciate it if anyone has any idea about this.

  • Apache HA: Probe sends HTTP request to HTTPS port

    Hello,
    i have a Sun 3.2 Cluster and the Apache HA module configured as described in the documentation. Works fine, except of the probe sending a HTTP request to the HTTPS port - this causes every minute an error log entry which is annoying. The log file runs full of these "HTTP spoken on HTTPS port" messages.
    I have already tried to set the Monitor_Uri_List parameter to http://servername:80/ but this does not help. Has anyone a solution to this problem? Can I just re-create the apache HA module and leave out the '44/tcp' in the Port_list parameter?

    It doesnt matter where they are, you just need to set up the two virtual hosts as per my example. The fact that the domains are the same with/without ssl doesnt change my example above.
    So, you need to set up one ssl host for the domain sharpie.pen.com, and a non-ssl host for the domain sharpie.pen.com. If you want bic.pen.com to have the same behavior you will need another pair for that.
    Apache must have a virtual host to respond to a port/domain combination.
    The reason I suggested a re-write rule of the form I did was to ensure that if someone went to:
    http://sharpie.pen.com/webmail/login.php (for instance)
    they would be redirected to
    httpS://sharpie.pen.com/webmail/login.php
    rather than the root of the domain.

  • HTTPS request signed by client certificate from PL/SQL procedure

    Hi All, please help.
    The PL/SQL procedure connects to different web services, using both HTTP/HTTPS, for HTTPS sever certificates were used. Everything was OK.
    The next service requires client to sign requests with client certificate. I made the client certificate, sign it by CA, store it in Wallet Manager.
    Is here the possibility to send signed HTTPS request from PL/SQL?
    If not, how to do it using Java and encapsulate for PL/SQL?

    It is pretty straight-forward to make HTTPS requests with UTL_HTTP.
    To do so, you first need to create an Oracle wallet on the database server host with Oracle Wallet Manager. If your database resides on Windows, I believe a short-cut has been created in the Windows menu. On Linux, it can be invoked from $ORACLE_HOME/bin/owm.
    Once the wallet is created, you need to make an additional call to utl_http.set_wallet(<wallet-directory>, <wallet-password>) before any utl_http.request or utl_http.begin_request calls. The <wallet-directory> is the wallet directory where you will find the cwallet.sso and/or ewallet.p12 files, using the format "file:/<wallet-directory>". For example:
    utl_http.set_wallet('file:/home/oracle/wallets/my_wallet/', '123456');
    When an Oracle wallet is created, it is pre-populated with common certificate authorities' certificates (e.g. Verisign). In the event that the server certificate of the HTTPS host is not signed by one of those common certificate authorities, you need to import the additional certificate authority's certificate in your wallet using Oracle Wallet Manager.

    I know that is possible to send HTTP request from PDF form. I know that is possible to sign whole PDF and submit it.
    But I want to sign some XML and send it from PDF as HTTP request. Is it possible?

    The examples are calling a browser but that is not what we are looking for. What we are looking for is (via ABAP) to send our http request and receive back the anwser. They (http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/) provide the SOAP message (WSDL : (http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/api/checkVatPort?wsdl). My question is if it is possible witout using XI and yes how? If I understand it correctly is should be possible via ABAP (example program RSWF_TEST_HTTP), but if I create my own program I get the message HTTP-Receive: RC=400  ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED. Maybe the ABAP code is correct, but maybe I should change some settings or configure something else.
