Sending emails limited to 20 in BCC

I have my own list of emails that I like to send messages to every now and again. it's only around 400 addresses but each time I send out I have to divide the list into groups of 20 addresses for each email. I know ISP's have a limit to prevent spam etc.
Is there any option between contacting a company who specialize in bulk emails and the 20 limit I am experiencing with my ISP.
Or putting it another way: How can I increase the number of recipients I put in the BCC field of a message. even if I could send say a 100 at a time it would make a big difference.
Thanks in advance
Mark

Thanks a brody.
It's a good idea you suggested to ask my internet provider if they can offer an e-mail listserv as an additional way of getting people who are seriously interested.
As far as the 20+ emails are concerned. whether what I am trying to achieve is frowned upon, unethical, intrusive, etc. doesn't bother me that much. At this stage I just want to know how it is done. The images of paintings that I send out in the messages are pleasant enough (drakebriscoe.com) and I have had only two recipients from the entire list so far ask to be unsubscribed, which any of them can do at any time if they wish and which I honor 100% so I don't have to feel too much of a villain... I wish I had the option to unsubscribe to the obtrusive TV ads thrust on us every day. Imagine if the TV channels were only able to broadcast ads to those who voluntarily subscribed to watch them. They would all close down over night.

• Sending Emails - Limiting Retries

I tried to send an email a while ago that had 3 pictures attaches, a total of 5.4Mb and after checking the Wifi usage on my router I have noticed that the email has been sent every 7 minutes for the last 7 days a total of about 10,000 times. Does anyone know if there is any way that i can limit the number of reties any message does until it flags it up as unsent.

Hi AA388,
Try removing then re-adding your Yahoo account to see if behavior continues.
Thanks.

• How to send Email with Cc and Bcc using MailPackage

Hi ,
we are using Mail Package to send the Email using Mail Adapter.We have a requirement where we need to send Email with Cc and Bcc using Mail Package .
Can we send Cc and Bcc using Mail Package ?
Thanks
Rajesh .

HI Rajesh,
There is a standard structure for Receiver Mail adopter which we can get from SAP market Place but it is not provided with CC if u want to use CC then you have to go with Dynamic Configuration.
DynamicConfiguration configuration = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().getStreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
/*any other required fields*/
DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail", "THeaderCC");
configuration.put(key, "ccemail @ test.com");

• My phone keeps bcc me everytime I send email

Every time I send an email from my phone, it BCCs me as well. I find this very annoying. It does it with all my mail accounts I have setup on the phone. I TRIED GOING TO SETTINGS AND TURNING IT OFF. I TURN THE PHONE OFF AND ON AGAIN. IT DID NOT WORK!
It is not a problem with gmail because they fixed their problem. Someone please help me resolve this. It is making my iphone experience a drag.
Thank you

If it is in fact a CDMA iPhone as listed in your signature, there is no SIM slot.
If it is really a GSM iPhone, insert a SIM in the SIM slot.

There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

• CC and BCC not working from Send Email

Greetings....I have a problem with adding CC's and BCC's to my send email triggers...they send to the TO field properly every time but never send to teh CC or the BCC fields. I've seen posts about this in the old MX Collection forums...but the only solution any ever comes up with is that its an issue with the mail server at the hosting provider.
Can anyone definitively tell me what the issue usually is and how to find out whats not working and find a solution.
This is a very important function to have work with many different hosting companies for anyone trying to successfully use ADDT.
Any help is much appreciated!

procedure logoff;
procedure send( Recp IN varchar2,
Subject IN varchar2,
Text IN varchar2,
Attch IN varchar2
END;

As said,
Reports9i is better than Reports6i as far as sending emails is concerned. Reports9i allows you to send Reports in different formats as email attachements (PDF v3 is only one option). You can set subject, cc, bcc and some body text the way you want it. The Reports server only needs the address of a SMTP Server and you are ready to go. In Reports6i this is a bit more limited as you are not able to provide your own subject and body texts.
I know that you can do this with PL/SQL from teh databae, but never tried it before.
There is another option, which is to use a Java Bean in Forms for email. Thsi only works on the Web and a demo is included in teh Forms9i demos that can be downloaded from OTN. Though the demo is written for Forms9i it should work with Forms6i as well (not the Forms demo files because they are created in Forms9i).

• How do I stop my computer from sending emails to everyone in my address book

How do I stop my computer from sending emails to everyone in my address book? This is happening when I am not on my computer.

I've been using a local isp and have recently gotten my mac email up and running. I think you are correct about the limitation being from the local isp as I was able to right click and send to all 67 via the Bcc. Good info, thanks.
I promote the use of Bcc any chance I get. Seems so many out there just don't understand the forward/reply issue where names are scanned from nearly infinite lists of forwarded emails.

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol RFC 5321 specifications.
RCPT TO:<forward-path> [ SP <rcpt-parameters> ] <CRLF>
The first or only argument to this command includes a forward-path
(normally a mailbox and domain, always surrounded by ">" and "<"
brackets) identifying one recipient.In other words, you can only define a SINGLE mailbox address at a time. Multiple addresses requires multiple repeats of this command verb, once per maibox.
Do not confuse this and the To: tag line in the Mime header that contains a comma delimited list of recipients. That tag line can contain anything - it is not parsed, not checked, and not verified as matching the actual recipient mailboxes as specified via the RCPT TO verb.

• Error while sending email to Multiple Recipients

Hi,
I am trying to send email to multiple recipients .It works fine if all the email-addresses are valid. If even one is invalid throws exception .I wish to send it all the valid addresses even if some are invalid as this email will be going to 3000 users some of them will be wrong addresses.
Help is greatly appreciated.
-ksg
Exception thrown:
Exception in SendEmail.setAddress as :javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses;
nested exception is:
javax.mail.SendFailedException: 550 <[email protected]>... User unknown
Here is the main piece of code:
message.saveChanges();
Transport transport = session.getTransport("smtp");
transport.connect("myhost", "", "");
transport.sendMessage(message, message.getAllRecipients());
transport.close();

Hi there,
Well I find the easiest way is to use a comma delimited string with the following bit of code.
msg.setRecipients(
addrType,
InternetAddress.parse(smtpAddress, false));
addrType will be TO,CC or BCC
smtpAddress is a comma delimited string that I get from the results of a SQL Select request (looks something like "[email protected],[email protected],....,....,...."
The boolean false is to prevent the parse checking the validity of the SMTP addresses as I prefer to deal with this by letting the SMTP server tell me which addresses are no good.
Hope this helps,
SH

• Sending Email from Multiple Accounts, not just one.

I have 3 email accounts set up on my iPhone, 1 Gmail, 2 two POP accounts.
For example if I get an email from Gmail, I check it in the phone and hit reply it goes out, from Gmail.
If I view an email in another POP account (NONGMAIL) and hit reply, the reply is sent from my GMail address. What gives?
If you reply to a message from another account shouldn't it go from that account? I don't want to be responding to work emails with my Gmail address.
Does the iPhone only support 1 account to send email? I tried changing the default account that did nothing using the mail client. Anyone else have this issue.

I'm having my issue. I have a gmail and an IMAP account set up on my phone.
When I have my default mail set to my gmail account, and I go into either inbox of my iphone's email application and send to a third email address, the emails appear to be coming from my gmail account.
When I change my default mail to be my IMAP account, the email STILL appears to be coming from my gmail account, no matter which account I send from.
The punchline is that, with either account set to default and sending from either account, the copy that I BCC to myself ends up being sent to BOTH email accounts.
Any idea what's going on?
