Sending files safely on internet (how do I)

Can someone please advise me on a simple but effective way to send large files with some sort of password protection over the Internet. Is there an app for this? The files are large. The receiver is not using a mac (yet) they are using a pc if that makes a difference. Thanks so much for your help.

You already have it. It's called zip, and it's cross-platform.
You can't use Finder to encrypt an archive, but you can do it in Terminal. The syntax is very simple:
$ zip -e <zipped_file> <file_to_zip>
This will prompt for a password, and then take <file_to_zip> and compress it to the encrypted <zipped_file>. To open <zipped_file> you need the password. Again, on the Mac Finder will give you an error, but you can use Terminal or an app like Zipeg. On the PC side they can use WinZip or a similar tool.
If you feel you need stronger encryption than zip's, try the 7z format, with Keka on Mac OS X and 7-zip on Win.
Finally, consider splitting a large file into smaller segments prior to transmission. If there are problems along the way, it's easier to re-send one segment than the whole file.

which means - fixed length 4,6 and && starts new recordset.
I need to get structure like:

Let's say, I can add && on the beginning of the file and other "lite" changes... but structure stays the same...
so, how to start new recordset? with which conversion parameter? for items it is clear...

It is better write in the system from where you want to send the file.

Do you mean JMS server has to read the file data. No, that is not possible.
JMS server concept is, we have to push/pull data using some JMS client.

I’ve found it usually works best with web mail via Adobe after obtaining verification. I know some email services block bulk email completely and I’ve only tested it with Gmail which works fine. Should also work with other web mail e.g. Yahoo and Hotmail. Give it a try. Before you start it will help to check your internet security settings. If they are set to High, reduce the settings to Medium temporarily. Then follow these instructions.
1. Log in to your mail provider on the web and add the following email to your address/contacts book.

2. Open Organizer and on the menu click:
Edit >> Preferences >> Sharing
3. Choose Adobe Email Service from the client dropdown menu.
4. Add your name and email address to the fields provided and click OK
5. Test the system (first use only) by selecting a photo in organizer and choosing Share >> Photo Mail then click Next (Mac users should use attachments)
6. Choose a contact then click Next
7. Click Next Step, then click Next - the sender verification dialog will open.
8. Check you have spelt your email address correctly and hit the Resend E-Mail button.
9. Go to your inbox (also check spam) and when the Adobe mailer message is received copy (Ctrl+C) the long verification code.
10. Return to the verification dialog and paste it (Ctrl+V) into the Sender verification field and click OK. Wait for validation confirmation then click OK to continue

I have converted these files to a format that the iOS devices will play directly off of dropbox. Now, how do I get the infernal devices to save it instead of play it?

I think that skype as a Point-to-Point will try to find the fastest route.

Both accounts are completely independent from each other. In order to use the space that you have purchased for your secondary account, you must change it to become your primary account. Yes, as you said, services like photo stream only work with the primary account. Unfortunately, there is no comfortable way to just transfer data from one account to another one, but you can do it via a third party application e.g. via Dropbox: e.g. for photos: photos stored with your current primary account > manual transfer to dropbox > after you made your secondary account to the primary account, transfer the photos back to your new primary account etc.

You are attempting to download the picture to your computer not uploading photo to the website if I am understanding you correctly.

I am trying to download a file over the internet from a WebDAV server. I've tried doing it with Datasocket as suggested in these articles,

I have the internet toolkit, but don't have the foggiest clue how to use it, and am using LabVIEW 7.1
I am a bit out of my depth here, so any advice welcome.

What is the URL to the website? Is it an FTP site? The articles you referenced are for specific transfer protocols. If the stie you're trying to get to doesn't follow these protocols, then you'll get the error you're seeing. You may have to use ActiveX to control IE and download the files programmatically.

How to configure Sender File Adapter to pick couples files in order !!

Hi Folks,
I am really looking for one requirement like, Sender file adapter has to pick multiple files by file name based with some time gap? Can we?
I have got one BPM in this, I have tried with Process mode : Name and Date, with wait step on BPM, but no use. The way how PI behaving, if 40 files in file directory, it is picking all files in one shot. Start processing but not in order.
The problem is on Receiver system side. The receiver system is SNC system, if old data receives later than earlier date data; we get data obsolete application error.
Ex: If I receive 25th and 26th files, first I need to process 25th first on PI sends to SNC, I need to give some time gap and pick another file or even PI picks and process 26th file, no problem but I need to give some time gap to send SNC to this 26th date file?
Please how guys, throw me your great ideas

If there are 40 files , can you please specify how many types of files are ther like say first A type shud be picked then B type then C type and so on so forth ?
LIke in my case I had only three types of files file1 and file 2 file 3
and in the directory also only three files will be placed at a time
you need to have some logic to separate the type of files in differnt folders and then process them
@ farooq yes . it will create problem if 40 files are kept at a time .

How to pick files from multiple directories via Sender File Adapter?

Hi guys,
I have a scenario File to IDOC. The Sender File Adapter has to take all files: .xml from Source directory E://Current/.
Actually directories are like
E:/Plant1/Current/
E:/Plant1/History/
E:/Plant2/Current/
E:/Plant2/History/.
Can I have one Sender File Adapter to pick all *.xml files
from
E:/Plant1/Current/ and
E:/Plant2/Current/ and how can I write it in Source Directory of Communication Channel?
Or do I have to have a Sender File Adapter for each Plant?
Any suggestion please?

How to handle spaces in Sender File

I have sender file and it is reading wrongly as it is not reading spaces. It is fixed file lengthe with no seperator.
Following r the parameters I am using but still it is not picking up spaces.

Hi Ria,
Use the parameter Record.fieldContentFormatting = nothing
If you dont specify this parameter trim is taken as a default value hence you are not gettign the spaces.
This parameter should help you .

3 Source directories in Sender File. How to set 3 Archive Directories?

I have scenario File to IDOC where from 3 source directories the XML has to be taken and processed. I used Advanced Selection for Source File in one communication channel.
For each source directory, there is an archive directory but in the field Archive Directory of the Communication Channel, there is possibility to put only one directory.
How can I put 3 archive directories in one sender File communication channel?

How to fetch XML file thru Sender File adapter

Dear friends,
I am having a scenario of fetching an xml file through sender file adapter. When i am testing my mapping in Test mode of message mapping it is working fine but when i fetch the real source xml file which is not having the XML namespace and Source Message type.
It is throwing error in Runtime.
At the same time when i edit the source xml file with the XML NAMESPACE & Source Meessage type it is passing successfully to the target system.
Kindly tell me friends how to solve this problem.
