It looks a match for CSCsw41181 - however we don't see the following condition against any interface:
'Error disabled - SFP vendor not supported'
We tried reseating an SFP on this module but still no SFP vendor not supported condition.
Any other known bugs or do we have to treat it as a hardware issue?

Hi,
If it is related to CSCsw41181, a reload of the module would clear the condition.
If you can schedule a maintenance window to reload the module, that may be the least
intrusive next step (keep in mind that reloading the module will be disruptive to all the ports
on that module).

I am measuring temperature using the "5508TC adac" board on Windows2000.I have a "K-Type" Thermocouples, but I can't select the channels from the Measurement and Automation Explorer window using Labview 7.0 software. When I click on NI-DAQmx in Labview 7.0;I clicked on "Analog Input" then Temperature, Thermocuples then it says "no supported devices found".I even installed an updated version of NI-DAQ drivers, but I'm still facing the same problem. What do I need to resolve the problem?

I'm sorry but Measurement & Automation Explorer is a National
Instruments software and knows only about National Instruments hardware.
The same applies to the DAQmx functions.
You will have to ask the manufacturer of your board for a config
    uration
utility for your hardware and also some LabVIEW drivers.

  • NI PXI 4351 read temperature

    Hi,
I'm trying to read temperature from TBX-68T connected to NI PXI-4351.
I see PXI-4351 in my hardware explorer, it show me right data in test panel.
But, I can't found any tools for reading temperature in LabView!
I installed drivers for NI PXI 4351
    http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/285/lang/en
but still noresults. Driver didn't contain any examples for reading.
I use LabView 10 and I have NI DAQ Traditional 7.4.4
so, I confused. How read temperature?

    Hi kmcdevitt,
The SC Express product family was specifically designed to take advantage of the PXIe architecture and therefore the timing circuitry on the PXIe-4353 is not designed to be compatible with the PXI platform.  There are no plans to design any of the SC Express products in the PXI form factor.
    Jared,
Please explain what it is that makes the PXIe-4353 so special that there can not be a PXI-4353.
This 32-Channel, 24-Bit, Thermocouple Input Module does 90 S/s/ch sample rate in high-speed mode or 1 S/s/ch sample rate in high-resolution mode.  Surely you are not claming the the PXI platform's architecture and timing circuitry can not hadle the troughput generated by the 32 channels of 24bit data at 90Hz.
Jared, it is not a pleasent fealing to be prommised that the new signal conditioning cards are going to be made for your soon to be purchased PXI-1045 chassises, and later find out from an Applications Engineer Jared that it has been in the plans to never make PXI versions of signal conditioning cards.  How would you feel if you purchased about 30 PXI-1045 18 slot chassises with PXI Embedded RT controllers with the promiss that if you bought the controllers and chassises that NI would continue to develope new Signal Conditioning and Other PXI Cards for your chassises.  Just buy them, and the new PXI cards will come.  How would you feel when you were told to be patient and just wait till next years NI week.  How patient would you be after the second year of being told to be patient until the next year's NI week?  How patient would you be after the third year of being told to be patient until the next year's NI week?  I have been recently asked to be patient again.  NI Week 2012, there may be something.  And now you tell me that there will never be anything.
I just don't buy it that there is something about the PXIe architecture and therefore the timing circuitry that is required for 90 Hz data.

  • Error 65575: overrun error while reading data from NI 9871

    Hello everyone,
I am new here. I configured NI 9871 in RS-485 mode to acquire data from a sensor at the data rate of 8 samples per second. While reading data from sensor, sometimes I got the error 65575: "An overrun error has occurred in the data being read. Ensure that the module Flow Control is configured correctly." I didn't understand the error, how can I fix it, what dose the flow control means.
I will be very thankful if anybody help me to fix this error.
    Thanks
    Wasif

    Hello Wasif,
The error you are getting presents itself when the hardware buffer is full and new data is coming in. Data buffer is 64 bytes. One thing to try is to clear the RX FIFO after every read. Please refer to the following link that talks about the method.
    http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370984R-01/lvaddon11/crio-9871/

  • Temperatures from a Thermocouple

    Hello All,
I have the PCI-4452 DAQ board. I would like to know if I could use this DAQ to read the temperatures from a Thermocouple. I have the amplifiers and also signal conditioning boards. I am working on LabVIEW-7.0.
    Thanks
    Nishant

    Hello Nishant.
You can use the PCI-4452 to read temperatures from a thermocouple.  I would recommend measuring the input differentially.  The other advantage that the 4452 gives you are the software configurable input ranges.  Since you are measuring a thermocouple, as long as the temperature doesn't get too hot, you could use the .316 V range.  If you are measuring hotter temperatures, then you could use the 1 V range.  This will allow you to apply the 16 bits of resolution that the card provides across a smaller range and effectively increase your resolution even more.
In terms of getting started with a program to take these measurements, I would recommend finding a simple analog input example program in our NI Example Finder.  NI Example Finder provides numerous VI's that are pre-built for basic applications.  There are many VI's which use the DAQ drivers to acquire a voltage on a channel, which could be used for your application.

  • Reading HDD Temperature from a RAID Array (nForce4)

    Hello all!
does anybody know of a program that can read the HDD temperature from a RAID Array?
I'm using Speedfan at the moment but the author doesn't seem to like nVidia at all, thus no support for us.

    I read:
    Quote
To sum it up : The nvidia raid controller doesn't support it .
That's not true really, because the nVidia utilities support reading the SMART status from the array. So it can be done, it's only matter of having the documentation or doing some research. However Speedfan's author doesn't like nVidia so he's not going to do anything, unless a doc is handed to him.
I wonder whether the linux community has worked it out

  • How to see data in BAM from sensor on BPEL activity?

Hello, I 'am working with BPEL on Jdeveloper (last version).
I have putted sensors on some activity of my process. On an other machine I have putted the BAM server (last version) which is ON and I have the BAM connection on Jdevlepper. Now I try to see data on BAM from sensor but I can't.
Can someone explain me how to do?
(I just can build some data just like in a data base with BAM architect but I can't read and put to graphics the ones from the sensors)
    Thank's much

    Hello,
To answer your question, I have install BAM on the same machine where BPEL server is running.
Now I steel can't get sensor's data from BPEL:
With BAM architect I can build data, with BAM studio I can use that data to design graphics but when I try to feed data from BPEL it doesn't work because I just can't press the OK button!!
In BPEL : When I try to Create BAM sensor action (from structure panel), I can't generate the xsl map file no action is done when pressing OK, create mapping or edit mapping button!

  • Reading emails from Faxcom server with javamail 1.4.2

Our JavaMail-based application reads up to 60,000 emails a day. We recently upgraded to JavaMail 1.4.2 to get more leniency reading poorly formatted messages. So far, it's looking great. We only experienced one issue. Upon upgrading, we stopped being able to receive multiparts sent via Faxcom product. To resolve this, we set the property:
mail.mime.multipart.ignoreexistingboundaryparameterto "false". If it is set to true, it will not be able to read emails from the Faxcom product that were previously successful using JavaMail 1.4.1. Basically, the API returns zero for the multipart count. If you are setting some of the new leniency parameters, I would recommend keeping this "false" unless it solves some specific problem.
Just wanted to post this to see if anyone had experienced the same problem, and to share the solution.

Thanks Bill, I will try setup a simple program to reproduce, or see if I can reproduce with one of the JavaMail sample programs - I also have a FaxCom mailbox setup for testing.
We are also still having trouble consuming a few messages that have a broken Content Type field:
    08:37:05.996 INFO: (EmailServer.processMultipart-Thread-21) Inside Content Type: text/plain
    name="incoming.txt"
    javax.mail.internet.ParseException: Expected ';', got "NAME"
    at javax.mail.internet.ParameterList.<init>(ParameterList.java:280)
    at javax.mail.internet.ContentType.<init>(ContentType.java:110)
    ...etc..
I will also look and find out which mail client that came from. Maybe the solution here is trying to ask the sender to fix/upgrade/switch mail clients.
But other than these 2 occasional problems, 1.4.2 is working great in production and we are getting a lot fewer failures.

I found this wonderful forum post

server. I've tried hard to get Approach #2 to work as listed in
that item, but to no avail. I can almost always see the XML code,
but CF never wants to find it as an object reference.
To answer your questions -- and thank you for your help on
    this! --
    1. Yes. I can see the XML code just fine.
    2. No. I get unknown host, connection failure, status not
    available.
    3. Doesn't work with IP, but that was expected as there are
many domains on this server, not just this one.
So, to continue, I thought I'd back up and try it on my CF7
server. The program runs from here [
    http://www.saphea.com/echotest.cfm
against the WSDL/CFC file here [
    http://components.findaportal.com/wsdl/trollws.cfc?wsdl
I can see the XML file just fine, but the echotest does not work
    (code attached).
    I created a mapping of "/wsdl" to
"d:\clients\components\wsdl" in trying to emulate Approach #2, and
    created a web subdomain of
    http://components.findaportal.com
to "d:\clients\components", but no dice. Approach #2 may have to be
    abandoned.
Why would it work for you and not me? That's the weird part.

    Hello,
I'm using the normal EM console packaged with Oracle (10gR2) and am trying to import a tablespace on RedHat rel4.

I've tried logging into EM as SYSTEM, SYS, and a DBA account I use and have used both root and the oracle account with no luck.
Searching hasn't gotten me any useful results here or in metalink so I'm stuck. What am I missing?

The short version is I traced it back to an error with /bin/nmo which traced back to a failure to run root.sh when upgrading to 10.2.0.3.

  • IWeb "failure reading disk quota"

Every time I have tried to publish from iWeb to my .Mac account I have been met with the following error: " Failure reading iDisk quota". I can connect to my iDisk just fine otherwise and I have all my space allocated to it. I called Apple technical support and they said that they only offer email support for .Mac. This is ********! Subject: Re: iWeb; Follow-up: 13716549

    Dear Robin,
Thank you for your patience while we researched the issue you reported with iWeb.
We are currently investigating an issue affecting some users, who receive an error message while trying to publish a page or site to their .Mac account using iWeb. The error states: "There was an error reading your iDisk quota."
Before we proceed with the steps to resolve this issue, we recommend that you back up iWeb's data file. If you already have this file backed up, you may skip to "Resolving the issue" below.
To locate the file, select Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu. Then type (or copy and paste) ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb into the field and click Go. You should now see a file named, Domain.
If you have the Backup application that is included with .Mac, you can use this to back up the file to your iDisk, CD/DVD, or to another hard drive.
Note: Though there is an iLife plan in Backup, it does not currently back up the files associated with iWeb. To back up up iWeb's files you will need to use either the Custom or Home Folder plan.
If you do not have Backup, you can create a copy of the file, then place the copy in a safe place. To duplicate the Domain file, click the file once to highlight it, then select Duplicate from the File menu. This will create a copy of the file named, Domain copy. Move this file to the desktop or any other safe location.
    Resolving the issue:
    1. Quit iWeb, if it is open. Select Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu. Then type (or copy and paste) ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb into the field and click Go. You should now see a file named, Domain. This is a Mac OS X package file.
Note: A package is a relatively common type of document in Mac OS X; it is essentially a sealed folder. It contains individual items, but cannot be opened in the same manner as a folder.
    2. To open the package, hold the Control Key and click on the Domain package file.
Note: If you have a two-button mouse, this [removed same] step can be accomplished by right-clicking the Domain package file.
    3. Select Show Package Contents from the contextual menu that appears.
    4. A new window will appear containing a folder named Contents.
    5. Open the Contents folder. Here you will see one, and possibly two files named assets.<membername>.groups.<groupname>.plist or assets.<membername>.plist, where <membername> and <groupname> correspond to your .Mac member name and .Mac Group name.
Note: Your .Mac member name is  the first part of your .Mac email address, before "@mac.com."
    6. If you have either or both of these files, move them to the trash. Then close the Contents window.
    7. Relaunch iWeb and try publishing again.
    Sincerely,
    Mike

I have no problems connecting to my iDisk. When I am in iWeb, I click "publish to .Mac" and when it gets about half way through the progress bar it halts and says, "There was an error reading your iDisk quota". I had a trial account before and it worked just fine. As soon as I purchased a full .Mac account I have been having this error. I've gone though your discussion boards and I found people that were having the same problem and according to them Apple repsonded that it was a problem server side and they corrected it within minutes. Something to do with too many people signing up for new accounts.
    Thanks,
