Sequence from Control file
Can I call sequence from Control file( Sql Loader)
Plz help.
As an option to what Warren suggested, you can also specify an actual sequence name in the control file itself.
LOAD DATA
INFILE datafile.dat
APPEND
INTO TABLE <table_name>
FIELDS TERMINATED BY '|'
TRAILING NULLCOLS
(<column_name> CHAR,
<column_name> CHAR,
<column_name> "seq_name.nextval")

Premiere Pro crashes after making a new sequence from media file
Every time I upload a video file and make it into a new sequence, a message pops up saying, "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I've already re-installed the program, and checked to see if I had SP1 which I do. The crash report says:
Faulting application name: Adobe Premiere Pro.exe, version: 8.2.0.65, time stamp: 0x5486db4a
Faulting module name: OpenCL.dll_unloaded, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x50eb1a5b
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x000007fee3d916a0
Faulting process id: 0x18b4
Faulting application start time: 0x01d01f2d436f22a0
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014\Adobe Premiere Pro.exe
Faulting module path: OpenCL.dll
Report Id: d2fb308f-8b20-11e4-80e1-d897ba034251
Any ideas on what I can do to get it to work again??In light of the faulting module (OpenCL.dll) and the exception code (0XC000005), I'd start by updating the graphics driver--manually through the card manufacturers site--or, if it's a laptop, from the computer manufacturer's site. Don't rely on Windows to get you the latest. If that doesn't work, try switching the Renderer to Software Only [File>Project Settings>General].
If those measures don't work, then check the suggestions in this article: Computer tricks and tips: How to Fix 0xC0000005 Error -

How to refer/store a vaue from csv file in control file
Hi,
Consider the following control file script.
Load data
infile 'suv.csv'
append into table mast_equipmnet_test
fields terminated by "," optionally enclosed by '"'
TRAILING NULLCOLS
equipment_id,
sub_vehicle_type,
ebiz_carrier_no expression "(select ebiz_carrier_no from mast_carrier where carrier_id=?)",
licence_no,
equip_type,
ebiz_appown_no,
ebiz_equip_no sequence(1,1)
here is my csv file
CABNO, SUBTYPE CARRIER_ID REG_NO, VEHICLE_TYPE, EBIZ_APPOWN_NO

9183, SUMO, SWAMY, 9183, SUV, 228
3173, QUALIS, SWAMY, 3173, SUV, 228
In my csv file i have carrier_ids which are string values in 3rd column.
for every carrier_id ,the corresponding ebiz_carrier_no(numeric value) is stored in a master table called "mast_carrier".
While loading the data i need to fetch the ebiz_carrier_no for each carrier_id from mast_carrier table .
but here i got strucked in the where clause of select statement.
I am not able to refer the carrier_id from csv file in where clause.
can any body tell me how to refere a value from csv file in the select statement of control file script.
cheers

Edited by: 977940 on Dec 19, 2012 9:00 PMWhy?
And how do you imagine this happening with sqlloader?
The entire purpose of sqlloader is to load data (hence, the name sql*loader*) into a table from an external source. If you want to delete rows from a table, you use the sql DELETE statement.
What is the business problem you are trying to solve? -
Drop a datafile from physical standby's control file
Hi,
I am trying to create a physical standby database for my production...
1) I have taken cold backup of my primary database on 18-Nov-2013...
2) I added a datafile on 19-nov-2013 ( 'O:\ORADATA\SFMS\SFMS_DATA4.DBF' )
3) Standby control file was generated on 20-ov-2013 (today) after shutting down and then mounting the primary database...
When i try to recover the newly setup standby using archive files, i am getting the following error (datafile added on 19th Nov is missing)
SQL> recover standby database;
ORA-00283: recovery session canceled due to errors
ORA-01110: data file 39: 'O:\ORADATA\SFMS\SFMS_DATA4.DBF'
ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data file 39 - see DBWR trace file
ORA-01110: data file 39: 'O:\ORADATA\SFMS\SFMS_DATA4.DBF'
How to overcome this situation...
Can i delete the entry for the newly added datafile from the backup control file ?
When i tried to delete datafile using "alter tablespace SFMS_BR_DATA drop datafile 'O:\ORADATA\SFMS\SFMS_DATA4.DBF';", it is showing that database should be open..
SQL> alter tablespace SFMS_BR_DATA drop datafile 'O:\ORADATA\SFMS\SFMS_DATA4.DBF'

Hi,
What is your version?
If you added new datafile or created new tablespace, take backup again for restore new created standby database.
If your standby database running well, DG configuration success, then this datafile will create on standby side, too.
Set STANDBY_FILE_MANAGEMENT=AUTO best practice.
When i try to recover the newly setup standby using archive files, i am getting the following error (datafile added on 19th Nov is missing)

Not need any delete datafile from standby side, you must recreate standby database, or you can take RMAN backup and restore to standby side again.
When i tried to delete datafile using "alter tablespace SFMS_BR_DATA drop datafile 'O:\ORADATA\SFMS\SFMS_DATA4.DBF';", it is showing that database should be open..
SQL> alter tablespace SFMS_BR_DATA drop datafile 'O:\ORADATA\SFMS\SFMS_DATA4.DBF'

alter tablespace SFMS_BR_DATA drop datafile 'O:\ORADATA\SFMS\SFMS_DATA4.DBF'

It is not logical, Physical standby must be bit-for-bit same with Primary database.

Since updating my iTunes I no longer have any controls. iTune covers the entire desktop and I cannot add from my files. Prior to updating I had a perfectly good iTunes which would allow me to stories for including on a iPod.
Can anyone please advise me.From my post on what seems like the same issue (found here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/21087892#21087892)
Take the following steps:
1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!
Hope this helps! -
Using archivelog and control file from other Oracle server
I am still bothered with my backup process.
I have 2 AIX boxes (same model, say A and B); both have BAAN 5 and Oracle 10g R2 on. Right now my colleague insists to use the export pump (cold backup) from Prod Oracle server (A) to restore the Oracle server on Box B. The Prod server has the archivelog mode turn on. But it will miss any transaction data from import pump till the crash point of Box A. So this is my confusion.
Can I pass the control files and archivelog files form Box A (prod server) to Box B and use them to restore the Box B as the latest Prod server? How?
I tried to convince them to use the RMAN backup? But not successful?
I think the best way is probably to use the Oracle Data guard. However, there is always one concern to my manager and colleague, that such process will cause the data on the restored server (failover, Box B) not recognizable by the BAAN, which define the objects (tables).
ThanksPerforming a logical backup is not useful to restore to the point of failure. The only valid and available option is a hot backup/archivelog mode. Your recovery manager backup perform a controlfile and redologfile backup, so those can be restored at the destination. You must take care of the way you perform the backup, and ensure the paths where your backup is being deposited are visible by the second node. A shared storage with same mount points is suitable in this case. A tape robot configured at both nodes is also a suitable solution.
Recovery manager perfoms a controlfile and spfile restore, too. This rman command perform the action:
SET DBID <DBID of the database,for which you want to restore the controlfile>;
RESTORE CONTROLFILE FROM <name_of_backupiece_which_contains_the_controlfile backup>';
I don't see any problem on the recovery manager side, and technically speaking, on the Oracle side it is perfectly possible to restore your database at a remote location. I don't know what happens on the BAAN side, if you are required to have it configured to be operative on the target node. You could try to clone your database at the node B, configure BAAN and prepare the proceduere in case of failure.
Configuring a dataguard is also a recomended action. So it is to think about Cold Failed Over clusters. I have recently performed a CFC configuration with BAAN. No problem it works smoothly.
