Serialization in bpm

Hi
If I am not wrong searialization means sending the data in the same order as they were received. This can be achieved by using EOIO. If it is the case could you please tell me when will we go for BPM with serialization ?? I believe for serialization alone we won't go for bpm and along with that there may be a need of another functional requirement ...........then only we will go for bpm.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
thanks
kumar

Hi,
Many adapters support the Quality of Service as Exactly Once in Order. (EOIO ). All thise adapters that support this QOS support EOIO without a BPM.
Refer this link for more,
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0d/5ab43b274a960de10000000a114084/content.htm
Also, even if your want EOIO inside a BPM , in the send step of your BPM you need to porvide the Queue Name for all messages using the send step to be processed in EOIO.
See defining Quality of Service (EOIO ) in this link.

  • DynamicXML

    Hi,
    I'm using Oracle BPM studio 10g R3. (Version: 10.3.1.0 Build: #99576)
    I'm trying to use DynamicXML to serialize and de-serialize a BPM object. I'm able to convert the object into XML, but the reverse doesn't seem to work for me :
    TestObj test = new TestObj();
    test.x = "test1";
    test.y = "test2";
    String str = DynamicXml.createXmlTextFor(object : test, topLevelTag : "Test");
    this.log(message : str);
    This gives me :
    <Test xmlns="http://bea.com/albpm/DynamicXml/version/2.0">
         <x>test1</x>
         <y>test2</y>
    </Test>
    But when I try to use DynamicXml.createObjectFrom to parse the xml back into an object, I get an error :
    TestObj test2 = new TestObj();
    test2 = (Module.TestObj)Fuego.Xml.DynamicXml.createObjectFrom(xmlText : str, target : test2);
    fuego.lang.ComponentExecutionException: The method 'createObjectFrom' from class 'DynamicXml' could not be successfully executed.

    Hi ..
    I noticed something strange : So far, I was running my code inside a CUnit test case, and I was getting the above error.
    Now when I tried putting the same code inside an automatic activity and ran it, it worked fine !
    I'm not sure why this happens.. but I guess it works fine then, except in a CUnit suite, for soem reason.
    Another question I had on the same topic was - if I do not want to serialize all my attributes to XML - for example, if I have fields x, y and z in my TestObject, and I want to serialize only x to XML - is there any way to do this ?
    Thanks !

  • Serialization Error after adding a new field to BPM Process

    Hi,
    I have a BPM Process to which I added a new attribute userid and consuming the BPM process in a web dynpro application, I created a model using the BPM Process's Web Service but getting a serialization error that the model does not have a mandatory field with name [userid]. see below.
    FYI.. I can trigger my BPM process through the Web Service in wsnavigator , the error I am getting is while executing the BPM Process from the custom webdynpro.
    Any idea how to resolve the issue?

  • BPM, serialization messages through XI

    Hello,
    I want to achieve the following:
    A business process receives and manages each message through XI in the same order as the adapter engine has sent this message (EOIO) to the BPM.
    Therefore I use  the fork step (Necessary branches = 1).
    The first branch receives messages and appends each message to a list. (Never ending iteration: 1 = 1). To receive each message I use a dummy correlation id like a version attribute of the message type (e.g. 1.0).
    The second branch manages this message list how long as the last message in the list is managed (Iteration: ReveivedMessage.MessageId != MessageList[n].MessageId.
    The process also sends messages EOIO.
    I have tested it and it works. But I have never seen such a process and so I'm not sure whether this process reveals any errors.
    Can anybody give me an hint whether this process is correct?
    Regards
    Marc

    Hey Marc,
    your questions are very pertinent.
    I'll try to give some comments on experience that I've had.
    For every collectPattern BPM instance (which is your case), you'll have a input queue which will receive messages while your correlation is active. So, while you are executing steps inside the block which defines the correlation, then you will also have messages being added to that instance's queue. So, it is extremely sugested that you use local correlations in a Block step and that you only put the loop with the receiving step and relevant container operation steps inside it.
    In the case that some messages are in the queue but was never processed (because the fork or the loop reached an end condition, for example), they are called "Parked messages" and from XI SP 17/PI SP 8 you can even resend them (with a kind of huge delay time, this is a gap from workflow framework...). Check out these notes:
    903139 BPE-RUN: Messages are not processed
    901047  BPE-RUN: Local correlations, error in block at runtime
    Briefly, you can minimize the probability of a parked message to occur, but you cannot eliminate it (probability will never reach zero). You can, by setting that particular BPM to a mode "without buffering" (meaning, no input queue), minimize the problem, and all messages which would be parked in "with buffering" mode will now be reprocessed (resent to BPE) but they have a kinda large delay (set in SMQR's Pause parameter for that particular queue).
    To set the BPM for "without buffering" mode, you need to go to tx SWF_INB_CONF and enter the BPM_MODE='X' (the task of the BPM can be checked in SXI_CACHE).
    But please read the notes (and the notes they refer to) before doing any setting. They comment you can't set a particular BPM to "without buffering" if you still have any parked messages for that BPM. You need to check and delete those through report RSWF_XI_UNPROCESSED_MSGS.
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • "No receiver agreement found" for BPM ???

    Hi everybody
    I think this could be an issue in the cache. I have a ccBPM and when I am sending the message who starts the BPM to the Integration Engine I got the following error:
    <SAP:Stack>No receiver agreement found for sender -BS_SQL_Database to receiver -IP_ScanningStatus_01,http://xxxx.com/common/scanning.MI_JDBC_Response_Asyn_ABS</SAP:Stack>
    IP_ScanningStatus_01 is an integration process and you do not need a receiver agreement ("not required" in receiver determination) to send a message to an integration process. Two weeks ago the process work and the very strange is, that in sxi_cache it shows the 31.07.2006 as last change/activation, but I did an activation yesterday. A full cache refresh did not change anything and the status of the cache is "up to date". We are on SP14 (:-<)
    Regards Oliver

    Hi Udo
    yes, that is exacly my problem.
    I deleted the corresponding processes in the repository and in the configuration. I recreated the process in the repository under the same name and after that I tried to import the porces in the configuration under the same name, but now I got the following error:
    Unable to transport object Integration Process IP_ScanningStatus_01 | http://xxxx.com/common/scanning (CE_ONESAP_ACETATE_MFG_xx, 1.0 of celanese.com) of type RepBProcess from application REPOSITORY on system REPOSITORY. Detailed information: Attempt to serialize the generic part of object Integration Process IP_ScanningStatus_01 | http://xxx.com/common/scanning failed(serialization problem)
    Any Ideas?
    How can I delete the old process out of cache?
    Regards Oliver

  • Unable to retrieve BPM in Integration Directory

    Hi Experts, i got a problem like this. I have already created my design object (BPM, Interfaces, Mapping, etc) in Integration Repository. Then i am going to start working on the Integration Directory (Configuration) ... However, when i try to create New Integration Process in Integration Directory, and i already choose my Integration Process from the list of my IP in my repository, when i want to confirm it, i got this following error:
    Unable to transport object Integration Process IP_MM096 | <my namespace>  of type RepBProcess from application REPOSITORY on system REPOSITORY. Detailed information: Attempt to serialize the generic part of object Integration Process IP_MM096 | <my namespace> failed(serialization problem)
    Anybody know or has an idea what is wrong with this?
    NB: my Integration Process name is IP_MM096
    thnks guys....

    I just finish redo the IP in my production system in IR. Then when i try to retrieve that new IP, i got the same message....I am out of idea what should i do next. Anyone? The thing is, i dont know the error mean...It just dont give enough information...

    I guess the weblogic.jar is not included in the studio.
    So, i added weblogic.jar (Weblogic 10.3) and wlclient.jar (Weblogic 10.3)
    It is working in my simple java code. But, still not working in BPM Studio.
    The error logs:

    Any ideas what could be the problems.
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    One of the problems we have seen in the past is that by default WAS 6.1.0.19 uses an IBM JVM 1.5 SR8. The version of the JVM that we have validated is IBM JVM 1.5 SR2. Any version greater than IBM JVM 1.5 SR2 introduces a problem with how enums are serialized. We are already working with IBM Support in getting this corrected. The java -version that we are using internally should render or show something like this: J2RE 1.5.0 IBM J9 2.3 AIX ppc64-64 j9vmap6324-20081129 (JIT enabled). Any greater version will show the error you are experiencing.

    String xml = DynamicXml.createXmlTextFor(object : obj, topLevelTag : "something");
    display(xml);
    And displayed result is:
    <something>
    <atr2>bbb</atr2>
    </something>
    atr1 is attribute, which is inherited from db table.
    atr2 is atribute, which I created (it is not inherited from db table)
    Whole problem is, that it only serialize atr2 - from some reason it completely ignores atr1 and his value.
    Like I can't serialize attributes, which are inherited from db table.
    But when I created new attribute atr2 in my Business Object (which is not inherited from db table), everything work ok. Where's the problem? I read docs, but found nothing...

    If you need a simple project that duplicates this problem for customer support, here's where I put one: http://www.4shared.com/file/181611971/d21e9444/_2__DynamicXMLBug.html.
    Have them import the project, start Studio's Engine, login as "test" and start the Workspace. Create a work item instance and then run the work item when it reaches the "Test" activity. When you run the logic, you'll see this displayed:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <poHeir xmlns="http://bea.com/albpm/DynamicXml/version/2.0">
        <nameForPO>Dan</nameForPO>
    </poHeir>They should note that only the "nameForPO" tag is created by the DynamicXml.createXmlTextFor() method. "nameForPO" is an attribute I manually added to the XML Heir BPM Object. The attributes of the inherited heir (e.g. "poHeir.orderDate" and "poHeir.billTo") are not included as tags in the generated XML even though these attributes have been set in the logic.

  • Pof Serialization issue

    Hi guys,
    I get an "unknown user type issue" for only one class defined in my pof-config-file. The rest are ok which is the part I can't get my head round.
    Log (showing config load)
    Everything seems to load ok. In fact, just to confirm, I messed up some tags in the xml file and I got problems. So it's finding the file ok.

    Sorry, this was the result of my not-very-efficient attempt to anonymize my code posting. The package and class names do actually match.
    I may have "by accident" solved the problem but I am not sure since I have to test properly. It appears that if I define the PofSerialization stuff in the pof-context.xml, which is then referenced from my coherence-cache-config.xml, I should not set the tangosol.pof.enabled=true flag.
    I was basically trying to turn of pof so that I could test something else in my code but it appears that just by removing that flag in the cache-server.sh script (which I had added earlier), the problem disappeared and coherence is still using pof.
    What am I missing? Is this behaviour correct?If you remove the tangosol.pof.enabled flag from the Java properties, then POF by default will not be used.
    On the other hand if you still have POF configured for certain services with the <serializer> element referring to a PofContext implementation e.g. ConfigurablePofContext, then those services (and only those services) will use POF.

  • Some Questions on BPM

    Hi Master,
    I Attended the one Interview...I have some Questions, Please Reply ASAP..
    <b>What is Pattern</b>? Why we are using with Real time Example.
    Thanks & Regards,
    SReddy

    Hi,
    As moorthy already said pattersns are like templates that can solve many of the real time scenarios either as given or with some customization.
    In BPM there are different patterns and each one having some sub patterns within them with slight variations.
    Some Patterns are,
    1. Multicast Pattern.
    2. Serialization Pattern.
    3. Sync/Async Bridge Pattern.
    4. Collect/Bundle Pattern.
    You can go thro this help link for more examples in Patterns,

  • ALE Serialization

    Hi All,
    I want to do ALE serialization for IDOC coming for SAP XI. I tried to create serialization group but it is giving as 'Choose the key from the allowed namespace'.
    What should i do?
    Ranjeet Singh.

    Hi Bhavesh,
    Thanks for the reply. Actually i dont want to do idoc serialization in SAP XI. I want to do  it in R3 side through ALE Master Data Distribution Serialization. We have interface between R3 and MDM and data is Customer master data. We want to send ADRMAS IDOC first and then DEBMAS data. Currently we are doing this using BPM with a 5 min wait betweeb sending IDOC. But since performance degrading approach, I am thinking of movng this logic to R3 side so that we dont; have to BPM adn wait step in XI and hence performance get improved.
    Ranjeet Singh.

  • Multiple Idocs (DEBMAS/ADRMAS) with SERDAT serialization to PI

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement that R3 systems sends data by means of serialization Idocs SERDAT basically which has two Idocs DEBMAS/ADRMAS. I need to generate a single structure at target side out of two incoming Idocs (DEBMAS/ADRMAS).
    Could any one please advise me how can i extract data from two idocs in a single scenario?
    Is there any standard approach already for this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Prasad Babu.

    You can achieve the scenario by using ALE Serilization at IDOC Message Type
    The below example addresss a similar scenario but for MATMAS material master and CLFMAS classification .
    Search for "Serialization by IDOC Type" . The first link will give you the insight. (I am unable to post the link here..)
    After the IDOC's come to PI, you can have a BPM to co-relate (DEBMAS/ADRMAS using Customer / Contact Numbers) and create a single Outout message.
