Serious problems with NHL Gamecenter Live App

Refund for NHL Gamecenter Live.
I have been having countless issues with this seasons (2013) edition of NHL Gamecenter Live. Apple seriously needs to look at all of the complaints and negative reviews of this app and find some way to provide refunds to those of us that spent $50 to view NHL hockey. There seems to be no recourse for users who purchased this app/subscription and Apple needs to step in and 'make things right' for all of us that are suffering with this disaster of a product.
As an example, I can watch games on my iPad but when I try to view that very same game on my Apple TV, it says that it is blacked out in my area. Really? I can watch it fine on my iPad in the same room, yet it's blacked out on a device not 20 feet away? I can sometimes use Airplay and stream from my iPad to the Apple TV but the video lags so bad it's virtually useless.
Come on Apple, just look into this issue and notify all of us 'suckers' that bought this app as to the status of either getting it fixed or providing us all refunds of our $50.

The Gamecenter Live service on Apple TV is an absolute travesty. Likewise, I also am getting blacked out on games on my apple tv, where I can watch no problem on my ipad & computer. When I finally get through to a game, the quality is glitchy, the game is more than 2-minutes behind LIVE, and often cuts out.
I have been a huge supporter of Apple for many years, owning 3 MacBook's, 2 iPhone's, an iPad, an Apple TV and a handful of accessories. But, what has been happening to their products over the course of the past 6-months has me wondering when my time to switch will be. There are a lot of great competitors out there that seem to have a better grip on making things work, as of late. As a consumer, thats what I want, something that works.
Apple must do something for all the frustrations it has caused me and many others as of late, and it better be soon. Otherwise, I will be jumping ships.

    Curious if anyone began to have problems with NHL Gamecenter Live last night.  I was able to watch games through aTV2 until about 9:30 PM EST last night, and then, all of a sudden, when I go into the games option to attempt to watch live content, I get a message that NHL Gamecenter Live is currently unavailable.  I can still pull up the other menu options, including standings and game highlights, but I could not pull up any of the late games last night.  Any help or info on this issue would be greatly appreciated.  I run Firefox 8, Windows Vista, and the aTV2 4.4.3 (3323) update.  Thanks in advance!

I seem to only get to the "verifying your account..." in the pop up screen while trying to sign in and not get any farther...? Perhaps Apple and Gamecenter need an update to fix the issue?     Hello community!  I'm in Australia and tried to subscribe to NHL gamecenter live via Apple TV  but it says "no iTunes products are currently available for purchase in your geographic region".  Is this because the 2013/2014 season hasn't started yet?  I know it is available to Australia. Do I have to purchase the subscription from the gamecenter live website first?  ATV does have the option to purchase direct through it's app...so I'm not sure why I'm getting this message.

    I live in British Columbia, Canada. I spoke with customer service at NHL Gamecenter today because I wanted to purchase NHL Gmamecenter Live for the 2013-14 season via the iPad app. But when I tried, the app said "no longer available". I want to buy the season through the iPad app because I have iTunes gift certificates that I want to use, which is how I paid last season. Anyway, I was told that they do not know when the iPad app will be updated and that they, customer service, have been told to tell would-be subscribers to subscribe through their website. And then you can log into the app and you're good to go. So, if you want watch now (i.e. pre-season games), grab your credit card and head to their website.  I'm going to wait for the start of the regular season to see if I can subscribe via the iPad app and use my iTunes gift certificates.

    I can send and receive calls.
    I get "messaging stopped" when doing a lot of texts.
    Texts come up "ghosted" meaning they have the text on the bottom and a transparent one overlaid  on top. they then become one. But I get the ghosting most of the time when I go into a message from a contact to send a text.
    When I go to call logs or text logs, the numbers come up first, and then then the names pop up randomly, meaning not in order down the page, until they are all shown. lots of lag time.
    It runs slow.
    I have 5 apps on here. I should be able to have a  lot of apps on here, and play music, and have files, and...and....and.
    I can get online but doing a Google search, when the page with the choices comes up, it is blurred and I have to tap on the screen for it to become clear and readable.
    When online and scrolling, it hitches sometimes/lags/gets stuck then unstuck
    I get VZWAVS has stopped. (not sure if those are the right letters)
    The status bar that is supposed to be gray with the new update, goes back and forth between green--the old os--to gray. And I have found no continuity with when I get green or when I get gray.
    I get a black screen on occasion.
    sometimes the proximity sensor doesn't work.
    sometimes when I have my bluetooth on and have "hands free mode" on, I get the a text message read through the headset and also through the handset.

  • NHL Gamecenter Live on ATV2 Freezing

    I am able to watch NHL Gamecenter Live on other devices (iPhone, iPad, iMac and XBox) without any problem.  But on the ATV2, the picture freezes about every 30 seconds to a minute.  This lasts for about 15 seconds then picks up where it had frozen.  I eventually have to exit and restart to get back to live action.  I have tried connected to Ethernet and through WIFI and also have the same problem when watching through Airplay from the iPad.

    The NHL decided not to stream any games via GameCenter LIVE for the 2012 playoffs; their official position is that NBC is broadcasting all of them nationwide (nationwide broadcasts are always unavailable on GameCenter), so there's no need for online streaming. It'll be back next year, but I've found the video quality for GameCenter to be *awful*. The NHL isn't taking online video particularly seriously, and charging *way* too much for a choppy video feed.
    In fairness, I haven't tried GameCenter on the AppleTV yet (I ran into the same problem trying to reactivate my account that you did), but using a 2010 MacBook Pro to display their video on an HDTV was useless; the video would stutter every few seconds, making it really hard to follow the play.

I am a huge hockey fan...lots of my Canadian friends whom are on SHAW, TELUS and BELL in Canada are buying NHL Center Ice, and along with their purchase of Center Ice, they get a FREE subscription to NHL Gamecenter LIVE which is the online service provided by the NHL...you can watch games on your computer and mobile devices (iphone, ipad, PC..etc)...so, my question is, why can't we as Comcast subscribers get the same deal??....I think it would be a matter of Comcast getting the LOGINS for Gamecenter directly from the NHL....also, I sure hope Comcast will increase the number of HD channels for Center Ice this year...only 2 HD channels...I hear Directv has almost all the games in HD...kind of a joke..this is 2010! any insights? Thanks!

    hey Blackhawk, i've been going 'round and 'round with Comcast about NHL Center Ice since Comcast only has TWO HD channels here in 2010.  I'm near Detroit and I paid for the package plus HD box and was excited for the season to start since i bought a new HD tv.  They have repeatedly told me "we are working on it" in terms of converting all channels to HD...this is a bunch of BS to me...what does it take? satellite tv has EVERY NHL and other sports in HD.  If i had known this before i would not have ordered Center Ice...if you look at blogs all over the internet, you will see it's up to the Cable provider to give you an HD broadcast...Comcast just chooses NOT to.  I keep insisting there is no way in *ell ALL the games are not being shown in HD by the network broadcasting the games.  We are simply not getting what we pay for...and it's very expensive at that...COME ON COMCAST, GET WITH IT!!!

Yes I've checked parameters modification and SPICBOOKING is "well" launched but it produces no results, so I guess there are some other changes in dimension customizing of AccountL or Datasrc....by the moment I'm testing but with no luck. This happens when you are about to go live and decide to upgrade your system.... 

  • Serious problem with AppStore/iTunes WiFi Store. Cannot connect

    I has a serious problem with my iPod Touch: When I tries to open App Store on my iTouch, I usually gets this message: *"Cannot connect to iTunes Store"*, often followed by *"Cannot retrieve download information. Please connect with iTunes."*. iTunes on my MacBook seems to work just fine.
    I might also be able to use the AppStore for a minute or so, and then the problems are coming back. All other internet-enabled apps is working fine, except the iTunes WiFi Store who's having the same problems as AppStore.
    What should I do?

    That would be a wonderful suggestion if my computer could connect to iTunes. Since about July my computer keeps giving me error 11222. I've tried everything on the support discussion board, but they haven't solved the problem either, and my software is up to date. Today instead of giving me the error, it's just been sitting for hours saying "Accessing iTunes Store". I was really hoping that I could just use the wifi on the iPod to access the iTunes and AppStore. Any other suggestions until iTunes gets fixed on my computer? Thanks for your help - Lex

  • Serious problem with Xcode 4.3.2 - no GNU make

    There is a SERIOUS problem with Xcode 4.3.2.  I just installed it and when I click the downloaded package I jsut get a Xcode.app.
    No longer does it allow me to install packages.
    Instead I get nothing but an Xcode.app to drag and drop into /Applications.
    More terrible is the fact that it no longer ships with GNU make.  Which means nothing inside of the MacPort project will work anymore.
    For example:

    The command line tools need to be installed separately.
    Go to Xcode->Preferences->Downloads
    Which is what the error message you got and the link it pointed to is teling you.

  • Serious problems with Adobe and Mavericks 10.9.3

    Serious problems with Adobe, crashes, no video export, video deteriorated by a line of pixels.
    Video card error from when turning computer on. Overheat when exporting from Premiere or encoder.
    Issues also with davinci resolve, output corrupted...

    The issue is now solved. I closed all open apps, and then tried once more to reinstall OS X after restart apple key + R and now everything is fine again.

    I'm going to guess videos buffer for a while also...
    Two possibilities, one is you should close apps on the iPad, the other is your internet speed is not able to handle the demands of a high speed device.
    To close apps:   Double click home button, swipe up to close the apps.
    To solve internet problem, contact your provider.   Basic internet is not enough for video games and movies.   Your router may be old and slow.

    Personally, I would never use a debit card online, for security reasons.  If your card gets hacked its your money that is stolen.  At least with a credit card it is the card providers money that is stolen.
    Anyway,  I would delete the app and re-install.  If you paid for the app in the first place you will be able to re-install free of charge.  Also, the app should allow the in-app purchase to happen again as it should recognise that you have already purchased it previously.
    Finally, it might be that the 3G doesnt have as much ram as more recent models of iphone and you may have applications running in the background that are preventing the app to function with the in-app purchase unless you shut down any apps eating all you memory that are running in the background.  Shut-down these apps (and the simpson tap out app) by exiting to your home screen and double-tapping the home button to show what apps are running in the background.  press and hold any of the open apps until it starts shaking.  close all the apps down.  exit then re-launch the app.

Every time that I tried to open it, in diagnostic and use create some files, in special one named LatestCrash-WifiSurvey.plist, this one generate an incident identifier E73B0164-CDFA-4E9E-839E-A0C021BD17A2, but this incident identifier change every time that I tried to open, the last incident identifier is: DE600EB3-AB57-4C33-8DE8-71F6788A7441.
    After of it, I checked that the app had a new version available for downloading, I took a backup of my ipad and then upgrade this app, but is the same problem, all I want is to save the projects I had in this app, I´m afraid that if I delete this app and re-install it, probably I loss my projects.
    Thanks for your help indicating how I can save my projects and see them for example in an iphone for assurance that data is not lost.
    Something that called my attention is part of the log that shows a big CPU processing, but the strange thing is I killed all applications.

  • Serious problem with my iPod Classic/iTunes

    I have a 6th Generation iPod classic (80 GB), and recently, I have been having some serious problems with it.
    When I connect it to iTunes, there is usually no problem, it shows up, plays and displays the music correctly, etc. However, if I try to ADD any music to it, iTunes will freeze, then close, and within 5 minutes, my entire computer will freeze completely, and be shut off. For whatever reason, happen when my iPod finally disconnects because my computer turned off, all of my music is missing from the library (This doesn't happen every time it freezes, because I try to disconnect my iPod manually before everything freezes). The music is still on the iPod, (it says that I have XX.X GB of "other" instead of music/videos), but it doesn't show up. When I plug in my iPod, iTunes says that there was a problem and I need to restore it. The first time this happened, I lost over 5,800 songs, but I forgave Apple, because these things do occasionally happen, plus I had no idea what exactly went on. The SECOND time happened within the same week, after I had put 800 songs back on the restored iPod. The first time happened when I was using iTunes 10 (which is seriously buggy on my computer, and freezes often), so I switched to iTunes 9 (still buggy, but doesn't freeze quite as much), and the same thing happened. So now I'm thinking it's my iPod's fault. My iPod does a whole host of minor problems over time such as making certain songs cut off at a certain specific point for no reason (Always the same song, always the same cut off point, and I can't fast forward past it, I also can't delete the songs because if I highlight them on iTunes, iTunes will freeze, and if I find them under the music folder in iPod control, my computer will freeze), freezing the entire iPod for seemingly no reason, and somehow messing up my album artwork (it will appear as "Colourful Static"), along with alot more.
    I know this is a troublesome problem, but if anyone could somehow shine some light on this problem, it would be tremendously appreciated.

    Unfortunately, when a hard drive starts clicking that means it's going bad. The mechanism is having trouble reading the drive. Since the iPod is mostly just a harddrive and a battery I have a feeling that this is your problem.

    about 25ss in is where the clicking starts. If it sounds like that, but softer and more muffled since it is a smaller drive that is being enclosed then I think you might be SOL. Maybe if you're iPod is still under warranty you can get a credit and go for a touch and avoid moving parts all together?
