Server 2008R2, Windows updates apply - fail - revert. We can't break the cycle

We have a 2008R2 server running SQL that has for months tried to apply updates, eventually fails, and then reverts.
We've tried to manually go through 1 update at a time, but they all fail and revert. Usually taking hours to go through this process.
We've gone through the steps in this KB article to no avail:

Windows Update Client failed to detect with error 0xc8000247 after using Lenovo System Update 5

Lenovo Thinkpad W500, Intel (R), Windows 7, SP1, latest updates as of Oct 15
(1) Checked Setting, set to automatic update whenever, even changed to never update, rebooted the OS and changed back to automatic update and rebooted the OS.
(2) Stopped Windows Update Services, renamed SoftwareDistribution folder and started the window update services and rebooted.
(3) Ran MS FIXIT
(4) Ran System File checker Scan (sfc /scannow)
(5) Ran CHKDSK /F
(6) Installed "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" drivers from Lenovo site
(7) Ran Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB971033)
None of the above possible recommended solutions were able to fix the issue yet and now I am getting a message your Window is Not Genuine!

The Lenovo System Update installed the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver 8.9.2.1002" right before the Windows Upgrade got broken. So in the Device Manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, I choose Intel ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller, on the Driver Tab, I choose the option "Roll Back Driver" and after rolling back the driver and restarting the OS, now Windows Update is working like a Champ!

Windows Update KB2467173 fails with Error code 1603

My windows update is failing over and over again with this message and it won't update C++ redistributable that a new program I started using requires.
The event log says as follows:

I''ve just installed Sun Java System Web Proxy Server 4.0.9 on our Network, but I'm having a hard time getting it to cache Windows updates.

There are several possibilities.
1. You do not have contiguous free disk space.
2. BCA has failed, or you may have a Fusion drive which is causing problems.
3. You have incorrect permissions on the disk.
4. Can you boot in OS X Safe Mode - OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? - Apple Support?

If by "OEM" you mean the disk came with another Win computer, it won't work. You need either a full retail verison or the "System Builders' Edition." I used the latter for my BC installation and it worked flawlessly and was marked as 64-bit--no mention of 32-bit.

I have an installation CD Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro with teh Serial No/key. Now I bought a tablet that has now CD drive. So I tried to download the Acrobat 9 Pro from the Adobe hoempage, but failed. I can only find the link to something like an extended version. So how do I have to proceed , where can I find the proper link. My system has W 8.1 32 Bit.
