Service for a laptop in India which was bought in US

Hi,
I bought HP envy m4 1015-dx laptop in US in December 2012. It was a good experience using this laptop. But recently I faced a problem with my laptop. Some vertical ines started appearing on the right side of the screen when I move the lid of my laptop. I contacted the hp support in India and they say that it is a problem with some cable and it can be replaced only in US. I cannot travel to US only for the sake of rectifying this problem. I don't know what to do. Please help me out with a solution.

This seems to be a fault with the display cable which will not cost you that much.
They might be asking to contact the US support because the laptop might not be manufacture in India anymore.
The best option to sort it out is since they are denying the support, you may get the part number from them and check in ebay or any shopping websites so that you can get it for a lesser amount.

    Unless you are a current/former customer, using/used that phone on a network in the UK, you can forget about getting it officially unlocked, as none of the UK carriers will authorize unlocking unless you are a current/former customer.

    Gift cards can only be used in the App/iTunes store in the country in which they were purchased. You can only purchase items from the store of the country you are physically located.

    You can send it to someone you know in the US to have them take it in for service or you can get on a plane and take it there yourself. You can not ship it to Apple in the US for service.

    The UAE and several other mostly Middle Eastern Countries ban FaceTime. Because of this all devices manufactured for sale in those countries does not have FaceTime and FaceTime cannot be installed on those devices.

    I came across this issue on my iPad and iPhone today. I did some research and it was suggested that you need to change your region to wherever in the world you originally purchased the app.
    This worked for me.
    I had tried signing in and out, deleting apps and resetting my devices; because I had never used any Apple ID except for my own personal one, I thought that those options would sort it. I changed my region to the uk (where the apps were purchased) and now they have updated with no other issues.

    Unfortunately none of your suffestions work.
    The AppleID has only been set to one country.  Several purchases are not visibile when I look at the purchases made with the AppleID.
    I get exactly the same error regardless of where I try and download the update from (from within ITunes (10.9.2), from the upgrade pane or from the software description pane.
    @leinaday; yes a fix is most certainly required.
    Issue started 07-May-2014 despite successful upgrades of the apps in question in the past.

    I compiled the C source files in Solaris 8 which was earlier compiled in SUNOS 4.1.3(Solaris 1.1).
    On compiling I get following discrepencies: 1. Executable size are considerably different.
    2. I am using some X windoes system library, it gives compilation error like "prototype mismatch 2 arguments passed when 3 required". "improper member use: fd " fd is the member od display structure.
    3. "identifier redeclared: shmat current : function() returning pointer to char
    previous: function(int, pointer to const void, int) returning pointer to void : "/usr/include/sys/shm.h""
    4. Also I am getting "cg error :..: Disk quota exceeded " while compiling one of the modules.
    Please let me know solution of all/any of these.

    Sounds like ancient code that no longer matches current API's.
    Theres not much option except to rewrite those bits.

    Only the carrier to which it is locked can unlock it.
    Contact that carrier and ask if they offer this service and if you qualify
