Service pack 13 of weblogic 5.1
I Unzipped the contents of the service pack into a temporary directory, such as /temp
then Shutdown the WebLogic Server
then Copied weblogic510sp13.jar and weblogic510sp13boot.jar from /temp to the directory /weblogic/lib.
After this,I added the path of weblogic510sp13boot.jar to the beginning of the Java system classpath.
Added the path of weblogic510sp13.jar to the beginning of the WebLogic classpath before starting the WebLogic Server.
When accessing weblogic it throws error

Do I need to do something else? If I do not want any solution for any CR then would it do any good applying service pack 13?
Hi.
This is definitely not supported, and I don't know that any work is scheduled in the future
to support this JDK on WLS 5.1.
Having said that, I was able to start WLS 5.1sp12 with JDK 1.4 with no errors. I didn't
exercise any features, however.

Service packs for Weblogic 6.1 with J2EE 1.3 disabled
We are planning to migrate to Weblogic 6.1 from 5.1.
Is BEA supporting 6.1 release with J2EE 1.3 disabled? I see that 6.1
with J2EE 1.3 is at sp4, whereas there is no service pack for 6.1 with
J2EE 1.3 disabled.

If BEA is not supporting 6.1 release with J2EE 1.3 disabled, then we
have to go to 6.1 with J2EE 1.3.Why is 1.3 a problem for you? In any case, there must be a way to do what you want.
Looking at the Service Packs, the last couple sentences of the description discuss it.
Maybe you would just need help with the WLS Start scripts. Or you would need to start
with a base product that has 1.3 disabled and take it from there. I'm sure someone
could find the files for you, they are just not out in the open.

Service Pack 2 for WebLogic Server 6.1 (UNIX platforms)
File Size
47,543,493 Bytes
Description
This service pack contains files that resolve some issues pertaining to the released
product. A detailed list of these issues is provided in the release notes.
The Service Pack upgrade installers for WebLogic Server 6.1 will update all existing
WebLogic installations to run with J2EE 1.3 features enabled when starting the server
with the startscripts provided within the WLS distribution. With J2EE 1.3 features
enabled, WebLogic Server will still inform you whenever an application is deployed that
uses J2EE 1.3 features. If you desire to disable J2EE 1.3 features and you had
originally installed WebLogic Server 6.1 with J2EE 1.3 feature disabled, you can restore
the WebLogic Start scripts from the backups created during the Service Pack
installation. Go to "Viewing and Recovering Files Replaced or Deleted by a Service Pack
Installation" on our Installing BEA WebLogic Server Page. -

Edited by: user13282066 on Jul 29, 2010 4:37 AMIt looks like you are mixing SP1 and SP4 components in the server classpath.
Leaving aside the issue of supporting WL 6.1 ( nearly 10 years old! ), you should look at the classpath which will be listed in the server's log file when it starts up.
If this error has just recently started, has there been a modification to the startup scripts, or has there been a new patch installed? -

WebLogic service packs and Visual Cafe
I installed Service Pack 6 for WebLogic. I used "wlconfig" to update the registry, and I also changed the "startWebLogic.cmd" batch file in the WebLogic home directory. However, when I start the server from VisualCafe it does not use SP6. It appears that Visual Cafe has it's own way of launching the WebLogic server. Anyone have any idea how Visual Cafe does this and what I have to change so it will use SP6?
Thanks,
Dave

JSP PRECOMPILER IS NOT WORKING WITH WEBLOGIC 6.1 SERVICE PACK 5
When i compile JSPs using JSP PreCompiler in weblogic 6.1
( Service Pack 4 ) , compilation is perfect.
But when i precompile the same JSPs with weblogic 6.1 (Service Pack 5 )

Variable Not Found error comes in service pack 5. But the same code works
well with service pack 4.
Could anyone help me ?

Can you post the jsp page or a example which doesnt compile in sp5. It seems
difficult to guage what the problem could be from looking at the error.
