Dear All,
I am writing you about an error I encounter on Oracle Portal. When I try to access Oracle Portal through the web browser I get the following message:
“Servlet Error
An unexpected servlet error was encountered.
Please check the log file for more details. “
I did some digging around metalink and the oracle forums and I was advised to check the following settings:
In the Oracle Enterprise Manager – Middleware – HTTP Server – Administration tab – PLSQL properties – DAD descriptor
I have the following values for the attributes:
Username: portal
Password: xxxxxxx
Connection String: cn=portal,cn=Users,dc=oracle,dc=cyse
Connection String Format: NetServiceNameFormat(SQL*Net entry)
NLS Language: AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8
Default Home: portal.home
I would appreciate it if somene could check and see which attribute values do you have on a running Oracle Portal Application. Specifically I am interested on the username and the connection string attributes.

It seems that when I check in the Oracle Identity Management Console, that the PUBLIC user is missing.
Can anyone please let me know if that could be linked with my problem, or if the PUBLIC user is essencial for the portal?

Its an unpatched db.So you must patch it first.Here is what is mentioned about this error

Above errors are seen on accessing WLC for config purpose from WCS. Seen after migrating WCS 4.2.62 to a new hardware and restoring the backed config.
OS and software versions remain the same, only new hardware is an upgraded one.
The original server is now put back in place and works .. just fine.In this migration, everything is absolutely same except the hardware.
Same WLCs, same WCS version. IP/hostname/configs all same. -

Their support of code which will run bug-free on vista seems to be lacking (I understand there are two parties to this marriage).
Help anyone?I noticed a few days ago that (at least on my box) Quicktime seems to have "issues" with >31 characters anywhere in the file path.
Is it possible that you have some folder along the way to your movie that has more than 31 charaters?
Shorten if necessary and see if that works.

I have found a tentative resolution for the ORA-39126 error (delete database stats, then gather database stats) but have not done so yet.
I have tried deleting the statistics for just the schema (cm_master), and then re-gathered stats for the same schema. Still get the error.
I am concerned about the ORA-04063: package body “XDB.DBMS_XDBUTIL_INT” has errors.
I have unlocked and set new password for the XDB user, but am not able to logon as XDB to re-compile the package body in question.
We had some maintenance applied over the weekend that “revoked execute from public” on the following packages:
dbms_datapump
dbms_crypto
dbms_crypto_toolkit
dbms_java_test
dbms_random
dbms_sql
utl_file
utl_http
utl_mail
utl_smtp
utl_tcpThe user performing the export with the problem (cm_master) was then granted execute back on the following packages:

(not: dbms_crypto_toolkit, dbms_java_test, utl_smtp, utl_tcp,)Other schemas were granted execute on the following packages and are NOT having expdp problems:

(not: dbms_crypto, dbms_crypto_toolkit, dbms_random, utl_smtp, utl_tcp )I don't think the public revokes are causing this error because the "Other schemas" do not have this error and were not specifically granted back all of the public revokes that cm_master received back.

I checked dba_registry, all 18 rows returned are VALID.

I've been getting this COMMON-1 in CPI recently when making a configuration change to an AP or a WLC. I think it happens the most when I'm making a change to an AP. We have 1142, 3500s, and 3600 and I don't know if I get it with a particular model AP.
Has anyone else received this message? I attached a screen shot.You may need to look at upgrading PI. Take a look at the compatibility matrix. Some things will still work fine as far as monitoring, but templates and or features may not and it is limited with the PI version.

NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - ProductionI have 4 installations of Oracle as described above(prod01,prod02, stage01, local), each on separate boxes/servers. Except for memory allocations, all are configured the same (parms).
I have a user (CM_MASTER) on each instance, again all configured the exact same except the instance installed locally on my laptop. The instance installed on my laptop has only a USERS tablespace, where as the 3 others have a 2nd tablespace established for CM_MASTER.
CM_MASTER has:
unlimited space quotas on both tablespaces (where applicable).
Has execute privilege on DBMS_DATAPUMP
Read and Write privileges on the BACKUP directory.
I am able to successfully export the CM_MASTER schema from the stage01, and my local instances.
However to the other 2 (prod01 and prod02) I am getting the following errors:

I can get the export on my local and stage01 instances to fail similarly if I grant CM_MASTER the privilege IMP_FULL_DATABASE. And then after revoking the same privilege the exports are good again.
However the error still occurs on the prod01 and prod02 instances whether or not CM_MASTER has the IMP_FULL_DATABASE privilege.
I have already tried the drop_database_statistics and then gather_database_statistics routine proposed on several other posts.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

It seems to be problem with your changed password of SSO/portal schema.
Could you be able to connect OEM.

select your portal instance.
In bottom you can find the "Configure schema" link.
Change ur portal schema password over tre.
Imp :
Go back and click HTTP server --> PL/SQL Properties --> mod_plsql services --> DAD status --> Portal
Edit DAD: Database Connection --> Apply the same password u applied for portal schema
AT last restart ur HTTP server and try connecting to portal. -
404 Error Message while running a servlet
Unable to run Snoop Servlet in JRUN 2.3.3 running on IIS4.0. I give the url
as http://websitename/servlet/SnoopServlet . But I get HTTP error 404 error.
I am trying to run the snoop servlet in the jrun/jsm-default/servlet directory. But, I am not able to run the servlets that are in the Servlet directory. It says '404 - Page Not Found Error'. Can anyone help me out what should I change to run the servlet when I type http//websitename/servlet/snoopservlet. Where 'snoopservlet' is the servlet in the servlets directory.I have been using JRun 3.1 and the default servlets directory is:
servers\default\default-app\web-inf\classes

when i build the application by simply creating jsp not jsf jsp then it works well.
Could you any tell me how to fix this? i searched in forums but i didn't find relevant solution.

Can you tell us what version of JDeveloper you are using, and what steps you took to create the JSF page? Like, write from scratch or use the JSF page wizard?
Also, can you check your project properties, and check that the JSF libraries are included, and JSF tag libraries set up?
