Servlet  proxy password problem

Hi,
I am encountering an interesting phenomena
I have a servlet that uses a password.
The password is defined in the property file:
weblogic.password.userXXX=YYYYYYYY
weblogic.allow.execute.weblogic.servlet.my_servlet=userXXX
when accessing the weblogic http listener everything works fine
But when accessing the weblogic through a proxy on an iis
it does not recognize the password or the user.
Any clue anyone?
Thanks
Angelovici Amos

I had the problem after I changed the password on my proxy account (wasn't asking me again for user/pass nor picking it up from IE or Firefox) so what I did:
I shutdown SAFARI and deleted:
C:\Documents and Settings\(your user account)\Application Data\Apple Computer\Preferences\keychain.plist
As soon as I start it will ask my user/passw and the option to remember it has to be checked
Problem Solved!

  • HttpClusterServlet Proxy Plugin problem - Weblogic Express 10

    Hi,
I am using Weblogic Express 10 version. I am trying to configure HttpClusterServelet in one of my test machine.
I have a Admin server and 3 Managed servers which are part of clusters. I have a test war file which is deployed on to the cluster.
I am able to open the test war file application by hitting Managed servers URL's & Port no's
    for eg: http://hostname:portno/testapp
Now I have created a war file with httpclusterserver features and deployed it to Admin server. (created web.xml & weblogic.xml inside WEB-INF directory and built it as war file and deployed it to Admin server)
so practically whenever I hit the Admin server URL my request should be proxied to one of the three Managed server which are part of the cluster
But when I try to open the application through admin server hostname and port no, I get below 403 exception on browser
    Error 403--Forbidden
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.4 403 Forbidden
The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it. Authorization will not help and the request SHOULD NOT be repeated. If the request method was not HEAD and the server wishes to make public why the request has not been fulfilled, it SHOULD describe the reason for the refusal in the entity. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
Below is the content of my web.xml & weblogic.xml war file

    Hi,
Did you configure the replication correctly in the weblogic.xml?
Also fill in the correct cluster address in the weblogic configuration.

  • Proxy Authentication Problems

Firstly good morning/afternoon/evening to all of you.
This will be my first post on these forums, and now that I have found them I hope they will be of some help to me in the future.
I work for the largest media company in South Africa, specifically as an Apple Technician. The company owns/runs numerous magazines and newspapers thus we have quite a large amount of Apples in the building/s.
Now on to the problem at hand.
Naturally in this corporate environment we have a HTTP Proxy.
Problem is with a Powerbook that just won't authenticate to the proxy. Everytime you try and do a Software Update or use Safari it just rejects the details and brings the username/password box back up.
    Things that do work...
    1. The machine does have an IP, so network connectivity is fine from the DHCP server side.
    2. Email works perfectly.
    3. The Proxy is working fine, with the same username details on another machine.
    What I have done...
Well basically everything. Normally these sort of issues are related to the Keychain having trouble, so I've deleted all entries from the Keychain, even resetted it to defaults and then restarted but still no luck.
When I try to do a software update it just brings up the Network Diagnosis box.
Also tried creating a new location, which didn't help.
Also tried deleting the relevant (at least what I think would be) preferences files and that just ended up nailing some other stuff I'll need to fix (like locations)
I'm hoping somebody out there has had this before, because I really don't want to reinstall because of this.
    Looking forward to your replies!

Just to add to this thread as I think my situation is similar. I am in a corporate environment as well and on my windows pc am set up to use a wpad.dat file for autodiscovery of proxy settings.
I have successfully managed to configure Firefox 1.5 to get to the internet by looking at the proxy.pac file and putting the ip address and port of the proxy server in as the http proxy (and setting all protocols to use that ip/port as well).
Though when I set that same ip/port in the global properties settings for safari et al, it continually prompts me for my username/password but when I supply them it does not work. I have tried every combination of how to enter my username: domain\username, domain/username [email protected], etc.
The end result is that I cannot reach the internet with safari or any other programs that rely on the global network settings (dashboard widgets, etc).
Does anyone know a work around? This is my first post as well and am hoping to get some help.
    Thanks!
    dack

  • Safari can't recognise a proxy password

I've been battling with Safari and finally have to see it as a bug. I have a proxy server that uses a login/password combination. Safari can't access it. Opera doesn't claim to and doesn't work either.
Only Firefox appears to work - I'm using it now through the proxy.
Is it worth reporting this bug?

Hey I'm having exactly the same problem.
I'm at work and I have also had to resort to Firefox for this.
I've even tried installing SquidMan but to no avail.
I reckon this has to be a bug.
It just constantly forgets the proxy password even if I put it in System Preferences->Network. Even when I type it in again, whilst still on the same page it will ask again for the password. Sometimes it also forgets the User Name as well as the password!
    Not a happy camper.
Am piloting Macs in the office for a potentially large rollout. This is the first hiccup I've hit.

  • Systems Preferences Crashes When Changing Proxy Password

    Hi everyone,
In the System Preferences, under the Proxies tab for a network configuration I am trying to remove the proxy password as it is no longer needed on my network. However everytime I attempt to uncheck the "Proxy server requires password" box the Systems Preferences application crashes. The same thing also happens if I attempt to simply change the proxy password. It is the HTTP proxy I am trying to change.
I'm going to include below the report generated when the application crashes. If anyone could suggest how to correct this problem that would be most appreciated.

We have 4 macs at our office: a G4, two G5s and a Mac Pro, all running 10.4.6, and they all have this issue with the proxy settings. It is only a problem when trying to change the account name of the Web Proxy. It crashes when saving on everyone of the 4 machines. We had similar issues when we upgraded to 10.4.8 with the proxy settings. It wouldn't maintain the changes to the settings so we downgraded back to 10.4.6. If anyone using 10.4.6 with proxy settings doesn't have this problem, please let me know.

  • Proxy password settings won't stay set-; iTunes store

If logged in as AD account, authenticating as local admin for sys pref change: I check the box for "proxy requires password", and enter the user and p/w, when I hit apply the box un-checks itself.
if logged in to local admin account, no problem, proxy password saves; but if logged in as AD account, can't set proxy p/w, hence iTunes wont connect to Store
    any suggestions?

Hi dvatech, and a warm welcome to the forums!
I think it's one of two things...
Have you run Keychain First Aid?
More likely it's this file that is buggered...
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
Unfortunately it holds tons of settings.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app; proxy password

    Hi,
We have some trouble with setting up Adobe Creative Cloud. Our department has an VIP portal on Adobe in which we can provide 'seats' to our users.
Recently we have added an InDesign CC to an user. The user has already have the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app downloaded and installed !, but is asked to fill in the Proxy Password (Windows).
We have tried to use our credentials and the users' but it didn't help. Also we tried to remove opm.db file from the computer and re-open the desktop app. Didn't work either.
Adobe Chat Support doesn't help either.
Can anyone please help us to solve this, so that we can install the requested product for the user?
Your help will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Jos,
Adobe creative cloud desktop does support proxy auto config file however you may need to open outbound for below Adobe links on your firewall.

  • I have a password problem. After importing data and settings from one MacBook Pro to a new one, I have to put my iCloud password in when re-starting, but the password from the old computer in when waking the computer from sleep.

I have a password problem. After importing data and settings from one MacBook Pro to a new one, I have to put my iCloud password in when re-starting the new computer, but the password from the old computer in when waking the computer from sleep. I want to use my iCloud password on both computers consistently. How can I fix this?

The only other place to change a password for the computer login is in Users & Groups preferences. But I don't really know enough here to fix your problem. You can try fixing the keychain:
iCloud- Frequently asked questions about iCloud Keychain
    Tutorial: Resolving Keychain Issues
If you can't access your keychain, or forget your password If you can't get into your keychain file because you've forgotten your password or the keychain file appears to be corrupt, there are a couple of options.
First, if you've forgotten your password, you can use the "Keychain First Aid" utility to make the keychain password the same as the login password. This can be accomplished via the following process:
      1. Open Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
      2. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Preferences"
      3. Click the "First Aid" tab
      4. Make sure the "Synchronize login keychain password" box is checked
      5. Close the Preferences window
      6. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Keychain First Aid"
      7. Enter your username and password
      8. Click the "Repair" button
The second option is to completely delete your keychain then recreate it. This routine is useful if your keychain appears to be corrupt or otherwise inaccessible. This can be accomplished as follows:
      1. Launch Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
      2. Click "Show Keychains" in the lower-left corner of the window.
      3. Select the problematic keychain from the left-hand pane.
      4. Navigate to the "File" menu and select "Delete Keychain '(name of keychain)'"
      5. Check all options for deletion and press "OK"
      6. Create a new keychain by going to the "File" menu, then "New" and selecting
          "New Keychain"
      7. You can now make this keychain your default if you desire by selecting it, then
going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make '(name of keychain)' Default"
Login as root and perform repair In some cases, problems with keychains can only be resolved when logged in as the root user.
First, you want to enable the root user:
      1. OS X Mountain Lion: Enable and disable the root user
      2. OS X Lion: Enable and disable the root user
      3. Mac OS X 10.6: Enabling the root user
      4. Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X
After enabling the root user, and logging in under this account, again open Keychain Access. First attempt repairs using Keychain First Aid, and failing that, delete then recreate the keychain as described above while logged in as root.
Persistently asked for stored passwords If you are persistently asked for passwords in various applications that you have specified should be remembered in a keychain, your "login" keychain may not be active for one reason or another.
Navigate to ~/Library/Keychains/ (this is the Library folder inside your user's home folder). Find the file named "login.keychain" and double-click it.
Failing that, select the "login" keychain within the Keychain Access application and make sure it is the default keychain by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make 'Login' Default"
Turn off Keychain synchronization in applications having problems If specific applications are experiencing issues when accessing password-protected material, the Keychain may be to blame.
The above comes from an article published on MacFixit.com.

  • File Proxy Service Problem on errors

    In continuation of this thread...
File Proxy Service Problem on errors
We are now facing two problems.
1.The proxy service is executed twice
2.File is getting moved to error directory with prefixed file names which we are not able to retrieve and use in the notification email.
Not sure how to fix :(

1.The proxy service is executed twice Check if this is due to transaction timeout issue as discussed here. Re: OSB File polling working twice with the same file
2.File is getting moved to error directory with prefixed file names which we are not able to retrieve and use in the notification email.I am not sure wehther you have any option here. You can check with support. Alternatively can raise notification mail with the timestamp and some file/business identifier from the file. The support person can then open the file from error directory to verify the file/business id in the file or educate the support user that the files will have a prefix

  • WRT110 WIFI password problem

    Hi Everyone,
I've got a very strange problem.  First, I indicated WPA under Wireless Security section and typed in my passphrase.  However when connecting to my wireless network name my passphrase never worked.  Second, I completely disabled security and tried to simply connect without any passphrase, but I was still being asked for a passphrase nonetheless.  I checked and double-checked and saved settings making sure security was disabled, but I was still being asked for a passphrase when choosing my wireless network!
I could probably restore my WRT110 to factory settings, however I don't want to loose other configurations like certain open ports and IP addresses I opened up for firewall.
Is there a way for me to resolve my WiFI password problem without restoring to factory default?  I just need to figure out how to make the WiFi passpharse work.  Here's what I have there:
    Security Mode: WPA Personal
    Encryption: TKIP
    Passphrase: 0sunspot0
    Key Renewal: 3600 seconds
However, when I pick my wireless network and try to connect to it by typing in 0sunspot0, I get authentication failure!
    Am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks,
    Victor.

  • Sys password problem "INSUFFICIENT PRIVELEGES"

    hi,
This is with refernece to my earlier post, i can now login as a DBA thry OS authentication.
    Re: sys password problem
but now i try to vreate a new password file and it successfully created using orapwd....
but when i try to login as a sys user thru oracle authentication i couldn't because i am getting an error
    "INSUFFICIENT PRIVELEGES"
and another thing i would like to know do i have to shutdown the database or not for the same.

Please review the document link sent earlier
    Setting REMOTE_LOGIN_ PASSWORDFILE
In addition to creating the password file, you must also set the initialization parameter REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to the appropriate value. The values recognized are:
NONE: Setting this parameter to NONE causes Oracle Database to behave as if the password file does not exist. That is, no privileged connections are allowed over nonsecure connections.
EXCLUSIVE: (The default) An EXCLUSIVE password file can be used with only one instance of one database. Only an EXCLUSIVE file can be modified. Using an EXCLUSIVE password file enables you to add, modify, and delete users. It also enables you to change the SYS password with the ALTER USER command.
SHARED: A SHARED password file can be used by multiple databases running on the same server, or multiple instances of a Real Application Clusters (RAC) database. A SHARED password file cannot be modified. This means that you cannot add users to a SHARED password file. Any attempt to do so or to change the password of SYS or other users with the SYSDBA or SYSOPER privileges generates an error. All users needing SYSDBA or SYSOPER system privileges must be added to the password file when REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE is set to EXCLUSIVE. After all users are added, you can change REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to SHARED, and then share the file.
This option is useful if you are administering multiple databases or a RAC database.
If REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE is set to EXCLUSIVE or SHARED and the password file is missing, this is equivalent to setting REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to NONE.

  • Password Problem for some applications:

Password Problem for some applications: I'm unable to download Adobe Reader, Microsoft updates.  I have no password set to start the computer, applications such as Pages, Numbers, Keynote require no password for updates.
When I try to update Microsoft or Adobe Reader, first I try with no password, I get a hint and I know exactly what it means, but still unable to download.  I don't know enough about passwords as to why some I can download and others I can't.  So I don't know what I should read.  I'm the only user of this computer and prefer not to have to deal with passwords.  I'm using a MacBook Pro, Mac OS 10.9.3

Oh what a tangled web we weave.  I read up on keychain and I don't understand what I'm reading.  Right now I cannot download my email on my computer, I can access it through the cloud. I'm sure it will be the same for the other iCloud feathers.   When I go to preferences and select iCloud when ever I try to sign in I get some dialog box it shows up "A keychain cannot be found to store 1076701306.  It doesn't matter whether I reset it or cancel it out iCloud preferences remains grayed out.
In keychain access on the left side under keychains and Read's local item, systems, and systems roots.
When I select local items nothing shows up to the right under the name column even when down under all items is selected nothing shows up.  And nothing shows up to the right when under categories I selected the other options password etc.  On the other hand when I select under keychains systems, systems roots I do get items to show up on the right side under names under all items, passwords, etc.  Where do I start?

  • Weblogic.servlet.proxy.HttpProxyServlet

    Hi,
I configured HttpProxyServlet to proxy the request to another web application. When I invoke the URL configured in proxy servlet mapping from browser everything works fine. However I need to invoke the second web application resource from within servlet using server side include. I couldn't get this working. The request is never dispatched to second web app (analyzed access logs).
    - How do I make this work?
    - Is there any specific Debug parameters I can enable to troubleshoot? I enabled HttpDebug but couldn't find anything useful.
    Thanks

Nothing in Server logs I could tie to issue. Here is the proxy configuration:
    <servlet>
              <servlet-name>WebAppBProxy</servlet-name>
              <servlet-class>weblogic.servlet.proxy.HttpProxyServlet</servlet-class>
              <init-param>

    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>WebAppBProxy</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/appB/ServiceRequest.do</url-pattern>

    In the servlet I have
    request.getDispatcher("/appB/ServiceRequest.do").include(request,response)

  • Outgoing Mail & Password Problems-Solution

    Hi All,
After upgrading to Snow Leopard I had a couple of issues.
    1) Couldn't send mail
    2) Passwords in Mail were not getting saved
To resolve the outgoing mail problem see this article
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2998
Basically edit your outgoing server and change the outgoing port to custom and put in you appropriate port number. I use Cox without SSL so I used 25
For the password problem go to your Home folder, go into Library and move the folder called "Keychain to the trash then restart. After restarting open Mail go into Preferences and add your password back to your account. It should now retain the password. This will also help with other apps like Safari that use Keychain to store passwords.
Also I was able to copy a keychain from another computer to get back all of the passwords I already had. After the upgrade my keychain was mostly empty.
    Good Luck,
    Mark

Had been trying that, to no avail. Found that I had to entirely delete the account and set up entirely new account with new password which worked.
    Thx
