Set a ring value programmatically

I use a ring control that is filled in with values
The progranm value  is example 0.001
Ring
3
1
0.1
0.01
0.001
0.0001
0.00001
etc
How can i set the value of the ring programmatticly,
so the 0.001 is selected?
see attached example setRing.vi
Kind regards, Ben Arts

You are using an Enum, not a Ring.  If you change it to a ring, you can set the values to be whatever you want.  So then you can just write the 0.001 to a local variable of the ring.

  • How to set the LOV value programmatically?

    Hello,
    I have a LOV (select list with submit) the value (displayed and corresponding returned) of which I would like to set by selecting a row in a report.
    What is the event I use to catch the selection of the row in the report and what would be the sample code to set the LOV values?
    Thanks a lot!
    Gabor

    Perhaps a more detailed explanation of the issue helps:
    I am developing an online internet bookmarking application. It basically contains a folder tree and bookmarks within the folders.
    The folder tree is implemented by a table referencing itself (main columns are: ID, NAME, PARENT_ID).
    The LOV lists the NAMEs (actually, the full path of each folder as returned by a function) and returns the IDs.
    When the user selects a NAME, folders and bookmarks contained in that folder are listed in a report (non-recursively).
    The action of the user clicking a folder in the report should simulate the above as if they selected the name manually. This is where I need help!
    I hope this helps. Thanks!

  • Setting bind variable value programmatically for master and child VO's

    ServDetail VO - Child VO, has Bind_cNum2 (bind variable)
    ServViewLink VL - View link between Serv VO & ServDetail VO
    in AMModule Impl have custom WS:
    public List<ViewRowImpl> getMyServices(String cNum)
    List<ViewRowImpl> result = new ArrayList<ViewRowImpl>();
    ViewObjectImpl vo1 = getServ(); //Master VO
    vo1.setNamedWhereClauseParam("Bind_cNum", cNum);

    ViewObjectImpl vo2 = getServDetail(); //Child VO

    vo1.executeQuery();
    while (vo1.hasNext()) {
    result.add((ViewRowImpl)vo1.next());
    return result;
    I am passing same cNum parameter to both Serv VO (Master VO) and ServDetail VO (child VO) as above. (this is in addition to view link bind variable :Id)
    It shows in the logs that it is setting the values correctly:
    <ViewRowSetImpl> <setNamedWhereClauseParam> [382] Serv ViewRowSetImpl.setNamedWhereClauseParam(Bind_cNum, 11771370)

    Try executing the vo1 query before setting the bind variable for vo2, then execute the vo2 query (if that's what you want to do).

  • How to set a default value to t-list when creating t-list programmatically

    hi,
    I'm creating a t-list programmatically
    by calling
    n = populate_group('groupname');
    populate_list('form.list','groupname');
    In this case how to set a default value for the t-list
    thanks
    rani

    I am not sure how it works in Web Dynpro for ABAP, but in Web Dynpro for Java to set default drop down value you will have to set the value for particular attribute (which is linked to the dropdown element)  in the context
    like
    wdContext.currentContext<nodeName>Element.set<FieldName>(<defalut value>)
    This generally done in Initialization method of the controller.

  • Setting QueryDescriptor's attribute values programmatically

    Hi all,
    How can I set the attribute value(s) in a query descriptor programmatically? From the query descriptor you can get a handle on a particular attribute criterion which has a getValues() but no setValues(). Can this be done?
    Also, is it possible to programmatically switch a query panel from basic mode to advanced mode and vice versa?
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.7
    Thanks,
    Bill

    Hi Timo,
    Your suggestion worked after a little bit of tinkering around. I assumed that AttributeCriterion makes a defensive copy of the list before returning it, however this isn't the case. In fact. it returns a list of type FaceCtrlSearchingBinding$AdfCriterionValues which does not behave as expected.
    The following prints null:
    List values = attributeCriteria.getValues();
    values.clear();
    values.add("1100254");
    System.out.println(values.get(0));
    While doing it this way prints the expected value "1100254":
    List values = attributeCriteria.getValues();
    values.clear();
    values.set(0, "1100254");
    System.out.println(values.get(0));
    Thanks,

  • How do I set a ring enum to the first item, regardless of its value

    Hi everyone,
    I am trying to set a ring enum to the first value.  During run-time, I dynamically update the entries in a ring so I don't know the strings or the values ahead of time.  How do I force the ring to select the first element, which may have a value of '3', for example?
    Thanks,

    How surprizing ! Here is a LV 8.0 version. As you can see, the "Values" property exists !

  • Setting/Getting Parameter Values BEFORE and AFTER the param window loads

    Hi there. My name is William Sanchez. I posted this question on Brian Wheadon's blog because I'm not sure that what we're trying to accomplish can be currently done with 2008 Crystal Report Viewer  and was wondering if a future version will support this, or if we're just missing something. I've searched through the SDK and API and can't seem to find a solution. Here's what we're trying to accomplish
    In a nutsheel: we think we need to hook into Crystal Report Viewer's parameter window from our WPF app.
    What we need to do is to be able to pass a set of default values to our parameters AND, after that's done programmatically, still display the parameter window for the report. Currently, however, after you do:
    parameterFieldDefinition.ApplyCurrentValues(currentParameterValues);
    it's as if Crystal says: Ok, we got the value, there's no need to show the parameter window anymore. This makes sense, but we need to still be able to show the parameter window to the user because all we did (from our point of view) is to pass in a default "choice". If we were to call ApplyDefaultValues() instead, the actual choices for the parameter are overriden. We basically want to make a default choice for the user from the allowed values for that parameter. But we want to still present the parameter window with the default choice already selected, plus all the other choices available for that parameter. If the crystal report has parameter1 set to false as default, we might want to programmatically set it to true, but still show false as an option on the parameter window.
    Part 2 of what we'd like to accomplish is that after the user changes any of the parameter values, and clicks OK to view the report, we'd like to catch the new parameter values in code to do something with them.
    This is why we're thinking of hooking into the parameter window so that we can tell it what we want both BEFORE it loads and AFTER the user is done...just like we can hook into the CrystalReportViewer refresh button like this:
    CrystalReportsViewer.ReportRefresh += new CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms.RefreshEventHandler(CrystalReportsViewer_ReportRefresh);
    Our app is a WPF C# .NET 3.5 desktop application. Any assistance or direction will surely be appreciated.
    Kinds Regards,
    William Sanchez

    Good day Ted, thanks for your reply.
    I did try Parameter.Default value, but what it does is as I mentioned above. If I have Parameter1 as a boolean, with possible values of true and false, if I set Paramter1.Default = true, the parameter window does come up, but it removed the false option from the drop down. So this is not a way to pick one of the various values for Parameter1, but to default it to only one of the values. It's close to what we need, but not fully.
    Also, what are your thoughts about getting the parameter values after the user has made their changes to the CrystalReportViewer parameter window and click OK to pass them to the report. How can we programmatically get those new values?

  • Cannot set Skillbuilder SuperLOV value

    Hello,
    i have a superlov item, P1_CODE which i am trying to set it's value from javascript.
    $s('P1_CODE', 'AA.001');
    The Enterable field is set to Enterable - Not restricted to LOV but i cannot set the field as it remains null. I can select from the popup list or enter directly a value.
    If i use the same code on a e.g. TextBox it works fine.
    I'm using Apex 4.2.3 and SuperLOV 2.0.2
    Teo
    Thank you.

    It does work. Don't forget that the superlov is built as a fieldset which contains a hidden item ( = return value) and the text item ( = display value). Calling either $s or apex.item.setValue with one value will set the return value of the item.
    JavaScript APIs: apex.item.setValue
    JavaScript APIs: $s
    $s(pNd, pValue, pDisplayValue, pSuppressChangeEvent)
    You can see it working as expected by inspecting the html. When you want to set the display value as well as the return value, then simply provide a third parameter.
    eg
    $s("P18_SLOV", "JAMES", "7900")
    Now, also be aware that the superlov has some interesting methods available, as seen in the documentation:
    The getValuesByReturn and setValuesByReturn methods can be used to programmatically fetch return values and set the item using the return values. getValuesByReturn will return a JSON object with the results from the fetch. setValuesByReturn goes a step further using the return values to set the display and return values for the item. Example(s):
    $('#P1_ITEM_NAME').apex_super_lov('getValuesByReturn', '101');
    $('#P1_ITEM_NAME').apex_super_lov('setValuesByReturn', '999');

  • Setting an item value before print report in BI Publisher

    Hi,
    I am having an issue with setting a page item's value once a button (that prints a BI Publisher report) is pressed. The session state for the item is set, however because the page does not re-load no value appears in the item on the page.
    I am using a button as a page Item and using a Page Branch with the Branch Point set as On Submit: After Processing(After Computation, Validation, and Processing) with the Page set to 0 and the Request set to PRINT_REPORT=REPORT
    Is there any way to set the item value on the page before branching to the report?
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    -Marsha

    Marsha,
    You can do that as follows:
    1- create a hidden text item (P20_date_hidden) with default value set to sysdate.
    2- for your button >> edit >> Buttom display attributes >> attributes >> type in : onFocus= "set_date();" (( note: am using onFocus because it takes places before onClick ))
    3- In your page >> edit >> HTML header >> type in :
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function set_date()
    v_date = $x('P20_DATE_HIDDEN').value;
    $x('P20_DATE_LETTER_SENT').value = v_date;
    </script>
    Hope this helps,
    Sam

  • Unable to set the selected value for a ADF LOV

    Hi,
    I am developing an application using jdeveloper 10.1.3 and Struts.
    I have created a ADF LOV on my JSP Page as given below:
    <html:select property="lob" onchange="javascript:selectLOB(this.form)">
    <html:optionsCollection label="prompt" value="index" property="lob.displayData"/>
    </html:select>
    When i submit the form, i am able to get the value of the selected Value in the List.
    JUCtrlListBinding listBinding = (JUCtrlListBinding) formBean.get("Lob");
    Row r = (Row) listBinding.getSelectedValue();
    String SoLob = (String) r.getAttribute("LobLob");
    But i am unable to set the selected value back in the list when i return to the form again.
    I tried the following:
    int x = listBinding.getSelectedIndex();
    listBinding.setSelectedIndex(x);
    It would be really helpful if some one could let me know what needs to be done.
    Thanks,
    Subashini

    Gyan,
    I tried with the code you suggest , its trying to set the value of a field, but my requirement is to change the property for
    "Rendered" on the field so that based on search parameters we can hide result table column.
    After searching online, I modified the controller code as follows
    1.Created a new transient attribute (Testrender) with type "Boolean" and always updateable.
    2.changed the "Rendered" property value on the field I want to hide as ${oa.PoSearchVO1.Testrender}.
    3. Modified the controller code as follows :
            OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
            OAViewObject testvo = (OAViewObject)am.findViewObject("PoSearchVO1");
            OADBTransaction txn = am.getOADBTransaction();
            if (testvo != null)
              OARow row = (OARow)testvo.first();
                if (a.equalsIgnoreCase("Approved"))
                     row.setAttribute("Testrender", Boolean.FALSE);
                else
                     row.setAttribute("Testrender", Boolean.TRUE);
            } But now when i run the page and populate the search field and click "Go" its hiding the field but throwing the following error and the search results are also bad.
    Its using only the value of one search parameter but not the second one .
    The search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes that would be lost. I think the vo is getting dirty when I update the transient attribute value. So I used txn.rollback ,then search is working fine but its not hiding the field.
    So can you please let me know how to proceed from here ?

  • How to set a default value for a drop down list box and then apply cascading based on the default value in Infopath 2010.

    Hello Everyone
    I have two drop downs. Both are coming from look up fields from two lists. i want to set a default value(first list item) for the first drop down list box and then apply cascading based on the default value for the next drop down list box. Hi Kavitha
    Thanks for your reply
    My requirement is exactly as follows.
    1) i have created one portal system object in system administration and also i created usermapping fields in the system object from the usermanagement  in system object.
    i created the user mapping fields like Plant,SalesManager,District etc.
    i also created the system alias name for the same system object
    2)  Now i came to persoanlize link and mapped the system object to the portal user.
    while mapping to the system object we need to enter Mapping userId, Password , once we enter these values and we can also enter the values of usermapping fields which we defined while creating the system object ( for example District,Salesmanager,Plant etc)
    once we enter all the values and click on save then these usermapping  values to be mapped to the portal user.
    3) Now my requirement is , i  want to control the usermapping field values thru webdynpro coding for setting/getting the values.
    I need sample code of the same.
    Please let me know if u need more details on the same.

  • SRM 4.0- How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC

    The radio button “Service” should not be visible.
    Also for search help (e.g. search for internal products) where a search should only be possible for product type 01 (goods). The system should not display the product type and internally always search for goods only.
    How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC
    We needs to use Search help BBPH_PRODUCT which having parameter PRODUCT_TYPE
    Here we can set defalut value 01 but it is not correct one since same search help is using several places.
    We need to limit the search help results only for SC.
    Kindly help out me ASAP.

    The easiest way to set defautl values is to edit the batch class.
    Goto the characteiristic and go to update values.
    In here you probably have something like 0 - 100 as a spec range.
    On the next line enter the default value within this range.  At the end of the line, click in the box in the column labelled "D".  This indicates the defautl value for the characteristic.
    If you need to you can do this in the material classification view as well.
    Just to be clear, these values will only show up in the batch record.  You can not have defautl values in resutls recording screens.
