Set_block_property with Like and Between and function
Hellow All
I need to find out record where Column Name between
:Text_item1 and :Text_item2 with Default_where
For example Manu guide me to find out record with
SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY('Block53', DEFAULT_WHERE, 'name like ''' || :block70.text || '%''');
go_block('block53');
EXECUTE_QUERY;
Now i need
To find our Record where name between :block70.Text1 and :Block70.text2 with Like Function
For example
I have one Column :NAME
I want to find out record in name Column with Default Where option where name between Text1 and Text2
I Hope you guys understand my requirement
Regards
Shahzaib ismail
Hai,
Try
SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY('BLOCK53', DEFAULT_WHERE, 'NAME BETWEEN ''' || :BLOCK70.TEXT1 || ''' AND ''' || :BLOCK70.TEXT2 || '''');
GO_BLOCK('BLOCK53');
EXECUTE_QUERY;and when you are using BETWEEN for character fields, then LIKE will be there.
Example, your NAME field have,
1) Abcde
2) Asdf
3) Awer
And if your condition is NAME BETWEEN 'A' AND 'Z' then you will get all daya.
And if your condition is NAME BETWEEN 'Ad' AND 'Z' then you will get 2 and 3. like that.
Regards,
Manu.

The message function on my Ipad just quit working. I was using it while in Mexico and it just quit. I have come home and synced my Ipad with Itunes and function still does not work. How do I get this function to work again?
When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

Wrong result for query with like and %
I have a strange problem with query with like and %.
When I run this script:

ALTER SESSION SET NLS_COMP = 'LINGUISTIC';
-- SELECT * FROM NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS;
-- drop table test1;
CREATE TABLE TEST1(K1 NVARCHAR2(80));

INSERT INTO TEST1 VALUES ('ŁFa');
INSERT INTO TEST1 VALUES ('ła');
INSERT INTO TEST1 VALUES ('Śab');
INSERT INTO TEST1 VALUES ('Śrrrb');
commit;
select * from TEST1 where k1 like N'Ł%';
I get this:
K1

Śab <- WRONG
Śrrrb <- WRONG
4 rows selected
When i change datatype to varchar2 this code work correct.
Is this a bug or what ?

Discoverer report with parameters and functions
I am new to Discoverer. Is there a way to create a report (with parameters) of one line per customer such that the following data will be displayed for each customer?
Among the parameters is: from_date (month & year) ,to_date
The basic query gives totals for each date (month & year) for every customer.
Among the fields displayed:
1-customer_id,
2-balance until from_date,
3-total activity between from_date and to_date
I have a function to calculate the total balance until from_date, but then I cannot get the total activity on the same line. I tried using another function and I tried using a total calculation but to no success.
Is this possible?
Thanks.Hi Markus
You need to determine whether you can in fact call a Discoverer report using a URL before linking it in Portal. You need to run the report in Viewer first and then see copy the URL from the address line of the browser. Then you open another browser and paste the URL. You may well be prompted for a username and password but hopefully the correct report with the right parameters will then execute.
Assuming this works you then paste the same URL link into Portal and you should be able to get the report to run.
Best wishes

Using PowerShell Remoting with Workflows and Functions
Hello,
I have an existing set of scripts with a mixture of Modules containing the functions, Workflows that call the functions and Main script that invokes the workflows.
Step 1: The Main script picks up the list of servers from a custom db and invokes the relevant workflow for further operation
Step 2: The workflow runs as foreach parallel and calls a function by passing the server name as a parameter
Step 3. The function in the module does the real job
All of this runs, from a central location. 90% of the server are geo dispersed. This seems to be a bit of a concern in terms of turnaround time is too high.
Hence, I would like to use WinRM (PowerShell Remoting). I have configured WinRM on all the Server with Firewall Exception.
My Queries:
1. Apart from using Enter-PSSession or Invoke-Command, are there any other CMDLet's?
2. Say for example; I plan to use Enter-PSSession, should I embed the code with Workflow?
3. How will it retrieve the output?
Please advice, Thanks
RajivYou cannot use Enter-PSSession in a script.
It's only intended to be used interactively from the console. If you try to use it in a script, the script will run the subsequent commands on the local system, not in the remote session.
You'll need to use Invoke-Command, and you'll have to include the function definitions in the invoked script block, since those functions will not exist in the remote sessions.

SAP NCO 3 (Patch 3) - Problems with USE_SAPGUI and Function Module
Hello,
We are moving our code to use the new SAP .NET v3 connector and have run into a slight issue which works on v2 but doesn't seem to work the same way in v3.
We are calling a function module in SAP that will invoke the SAP GUI allow the user to interact with it. Once the user has completed their interaction and clicked the last button, the SAP GUI is meant to disappear. With v3 this is no longer the case.
We are forcing the USE_SAPGUI value to 2 but this has no effect on the problem.
In V3, the last dialog box stays on the screen and control returns to our application. The dialog box is not active anymore and cannot be clicked. It seems the SAP GUI will stay open with this frozen dialog box until we invoke another RFC that brings up the SAP GUI.
My questions are:
1) Is this a bug or is there something more I need to do to achieve this functionality?
2) Is there anyway to forcibly close the SAP GUI connection for a RFCDestination? The connection is closed when we close our application but I can't find a way to close all connections which would hopefully close the dialog box.
Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.
Thanks,
TimI can't be sure but most of the dota2 output looks "normal" to me (I get the same yet it works fine).
eurotrucks is clearly crashing. You could try to force the resolution it uses in its config files?
Or maybe it's missing a lib (you may need to install 32bit versions):
ldd /path/to/eurotrucks
to see if that's the case. If not, you might have to take it up with the eurotrucks developers.
And you could try using fluxbox/openbox just to see what happens. A lot lighter than KDE.
Have a good look though: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Steam
and remember to check for missing 32bit libs. -
Select query not working with like & and operator
Hi,
The below is the select query which is used to select only the failed rollup jobs from DB table ( background jobs ) the status 'A' which means only the failed roll up jobs.
select jobname status from v_op into table zjob_rollup where jobname like '%ROLLUP%'
or jobname like 'BI_AGGR%'
and status like 'A'.
Right now my internal tables is picking the job name other than status A also.
Can you please help.
Note: Ps consider the performance of select query also.
Thanks,
SivaHi,

im using an ipad mini and recently it started to act way wiered than i ever imagined.whenever i switch it on it would open or close apps of its choice and function without my interference.it's like auto touch.what should i do with this?
That could be a hardware problem with the screen digitizer but first try these troubleshooting steps in this order:
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds). No data will be lost.
Restore: Connect your device to iTunes on your computer, backup, and then select Restore to Factory.
See here for more details on restore: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201252
If none of these work your device may have developed a hardware problem. Contact Apple Support: http://www.apple.com/contact/ -

Generating pdf output with webhelp look and functionality not like a print documentation
Hi I have been using robohelp webhelp for our company online help documentation. Can I generate pdf output which has the same look and functionality as that of webhelp, using robohelp??
Welcome to our community
While you may certainly generate a PDF that contains the same information, it likely will not look exactly like WebHelp and it certainly will not behave as WebHelp.
WebHelp is intended for on-line use while the PDF is really intended for printing if one chooses to.
Cheers... Rick

How can the symbol and non-English diacritical marking/punctuation pallet, available in pre-Snow Leopard OSes with various combinations of letter or number keys and functional keys, be accessed in Snow Leopard? Those pre-Snow Leopard versions worked on the fly as one was making text in any pedestrian application and its native font (Mail, Text Edit, for example). One didn't need to dig around in font libraries, change font preferences, etc.
> One didn't need to dig around in font libraries, change font
> preferences, etc.
It hasn't worked like that since the Early Chalcolithic (ie, System 7 or thereabouts).
You've already got plenty of answers. Briefly (and grossly oversimplified),
- Mac OS X conforms to a standard known as Unicode; in its current incarnation, it defines over 100k characters.
- A keypress is translated into a character according to the current keyboard layout.
- The graphic representation of a character (ie, glyph), is provided by the current font.
- If a font lacks a glyph for the requested character, either another font will be automatically chosen (Mac OS X text engine), or some form of feedback (empty box, question mark, etc) will be used.
- To inspect the actual key codes, use a utility such as Key Codes.
- To inspect the current keyboard layout, invoke Keyboard Viewer.
- To inspect the full complement of glyphs of a font, invoke Character Viewer (also accessed with the Special Characters command).
(Remember that both these utilities are resizable and zoomable -- you can enlarge them to a comfortable viewing size, then zoom out to see more of the screen for your original task.)
- For a more detailed look, use a utility such as UnicodeChecker.
- The default keyboard layout depends on your Mac OS X localisation.
(Keep in mind that there's no need to stick with the default layout; choose whichever one makes sense to you, given your language, habits, and proclivities. Mac OS X comes bundled with quite a few, including some obviously designed for the huddled masses of refugees from the Dark Side, who, in their wretched ignorance, have the unmitigated gall of labelling our native ways "really uncomfortable". Oh well, this, too, shall pass.
If none of the supplied keyboard layouts fits your needs -- if, for instance, you write your emails in Etruscan -- go out on the 'net, you'll find quite a few. Or write your own with Ukulele, it's not really all that difficult.)
- Use Keyboard Viewer to familiarise yourself with the current layout and to enter the odd character; but, to be proficient, you should learn your layout to the point that KV is no longer needed.
- Use Character Viewer to enter the odd character not available in the current keyboard layout.
Neither Keyboard Viewer nor Character Viewer are effective tools for more extensive needs, eg, for writing and editing bilingual or multilingual texts. In such a case, you should enable the respective keyboard layouts and switch between them with a keyboard shortcut.
A few interesting layouts bundled with Mac OS X have already been mentioned. Let me add three.
- Dvorak: several layouts based on the Dvorak keyboard. It is claimed that the latter is more productive and lessens RSI risk.
- US Extended: based on QWERTY, it offers a more extensive set of diacritics (eg, caron, breve) via dead keys.
- Unicode Hex Input: also based QWERTY, it allows input by Unicode codepoint (in hexadecimal), so it's the most extensive layout of all; eg, to enter the character "Parenthesized Number Twelve" (U+247F), hold down Option, type "247f", release Option. -
It is easy to transfer data between a simple input/output dll build with LV and an external code like C++, but when data are available inside a loop running in the dll(in fact thread running in LV); How can I read them or receive an handle pointer to the calling C++ application when new data are ready.
If you're using LabVIEW 7, you can use the PostLVUserEvent function to fire an event for an event structure in LV. Refer to the Using External Code in LV manual.
Or you could use datasocket for this. The datasocket activex dll is nids.dll. You could have the class wizard generate wrappers for you or if you have Measurement Studio, you could use the custom wrappers it provides to communicate between the VI and dll.
I hope this helps

Difference between business blueprint and functional spec
hello
can somebody please tell me the difference between business blueprint and functional spec and how they are interrelated
ThanksHi Comandante,
Business Blue print is a detailed documentation of the requirements gathered from client (The objects we need to develop are modified depending upon clients requirements).It represents the business process requirements of the company. It is an agreed statement of how the company intends to run its business within SAP system.
Functional specifications (functional specs), in the end, are the blueprint for how you want a particular report and transaction to look and work. It details what the report will do, how a user will interact with it, and what it will look like. By creating a blueprint of the report or transaction first, time and productivity are saved during the development stage because the programmers can program instead of also working out the logic of the user-experience. It will also enable you to manage the expectations of your clients or management, as they will know exactly what to expect. Functional Spec streamlines the development process.
A functional specification is a formal document used to describe in detail for software developers a product's intended capabilities, appearance, and interactions with users. It guidelines and continuing reference point as the developers write the programming code.
Other processes include Requirements, Objectives,Logic Specification,User documentation,The Final Product.
Hope this Helps, Revert for any further info.
Cheers,

ABAP/4 Open SQL statement with WHERE ... LIKE and pattern too long
Dear All,
I am getting an error "ABAP/4 Open SQL statement with WHERE ... LIKE and pattern too long" while executing the following statement:
CLEAR LS_RANGE.
LS_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'
+LS_RANGE-OPTION = 'CP' +
LS_RANGE-LOW = 'S_ADMI_FCD'
LS_RANGE-HIGH = 'S_ADMI_FCD'
COLLECT LS_RANGE INTO LT_RANGE.
SELECT *
FROM UST12
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE LT_OBJECT_VALUES
WHERE FIELD IN LT_RANGE
AND AKTPS = 'A'.
For options like BT(Between), EQ(Equal) in range table, this above query is executing without dump. But for option CP, it simply dumps & in dump what i found is, it is concatenating the value in low & high.
Does anyone have any idea regarding open sql using range tables.
Thanks,
BhupinderHi,
I commented as follows:
If LS_RANGE-HIGH is empty, you can use EQ, NE, GT, LE, LT,CP, and NP. These operators are the same as those that are used for logical expressions. Yet operators CP and NP do not have the full functional scope they have in normal logical expressions. They are only allowed if wildcards ( '*' or '+' ) are used in the input fields. If wildcards are entered on the selection screen, the system automatically uses the operator CP.
If LS_RANGE-HIGH is filled, you can use BT (BeTween) and NB (Not Between). These operators correspond to BETWEEN and NOT BETWEEN that you use when you check if a field belongs to a range. You cannot use wildcard characters.
You can try:
CLEAR LS_RANGE.
LS_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
+LS_RANGE-OPTION = 'CP' +
LS_RANGE-LOW = 'S_ADMI_FCD'.
LS_RANGE-HIGH = 'S_ADMI_FCD'.
FIND '*' IN LS_RANGE.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
LS_RANGE-OPTION = 'CP'.
ELSE.
LS_RANGE-OPTION = 'EQ'.
ENDIF.
COLLECT LS_RANGE INTO LT_RANGE.
SELECT *
FROM UST12
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE LT_OBJECT_VALUES
WHERE FIELD IN LT_RANGE
AND AKTPS = 'A'.
If you use wildcards the LS_RANGE length should not exceed 10 characters.
Hope this information is help to you.

José
