Set Cursor.vi fails after it has been called for 30 different panel refs in LV 7.1.1

Make sure both attached files (Run LabVIEW_Cursor_TestCase.vi, SimpleVI.vi) are in the same folder. Run LabVIEW_Cursor_TestCase.vi notice that the -3 error code is returned from "Set Cursor.vi" after it has been called with 30 different panel refs. If "Set Cursor.vi" is replaced with "Set Busy.vi" the same error occurs.Is there a workaround for this problem other that setting the cursor image manually in user32.dll? I must be able to open more than 30 panels and set them all to busy. In the test case I used a single VI, simply to demonstrate the error.

This bug is fixed in LabVIEW 8.0 and later. Unfortunately, I know of no workaround in LabVIEW 7.x. When I encountered this bug in one of my UIs in LabVIEW 7.x, my "fix" was simply to ignore the error outputs from the cursor VIs, and to live with the fact that I had no custom cursors after 30 windows had been opened.

3 year old iMac 24 running OS10.7.4. After it has been on for a day or so, it stops going to sleep and becomes very slow. This only happens when Safari is running. Quitting Safari solves the problem. Has anyone else have the same problem?

How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

AE CS 5.5 info boxes stop appearing after App has been up for ~30 min

I've encountered a strange behavior with 5.5(up to date according to Adobe) running on MacPro 10.6.6. After having the program launched for a period of time (over 30 minutes) all info panels that might pop up indicating an error in an expression, missing footage, a missing font or effect, even basic "about" info for an effect, just stops functioning. Quitting AE and re starting restores this function, but only for a period of time. Its not the end of the world, but it can be frustrating. Anyone else encounter this?

I have not noted this issue within Premiere, but I will check more closely (plug in info boxes etc) . Its really an issue with debugging expressions which don't happen within Premiere so it could be an issue and I am just not noticing it there.

S2disk stops working after laptop has been on for a day or two

Running s2disk usually works flawlessly. However, I've discovered that after maybe a day or two, or three of the laptop being on (being put into a hibernate whenever I travel) hibernate stops working. There will be no error message on the screen when it runs, neither will there be any errors that I spot in /var/log/messages or /var/log/pm-suspend.log if I try pm-hibernate.
What happens is the screen goes blank and starts showing the s2disk messages, then it says that it's compressing the image, then it just pops up into my normal desktop environment.
The only difference I've seen on the screen between a successful hibernate and a non-successful hibernate is that the non-successful one never says "compressed image to ..... "

Edit: On a similar note, which may help to solve this, a similar thing happens when I s2ram (although they don't coincide - right now I can s2ram but not s2disk). When I s2ram it works but immediately wakes up without me moving the mouse, hitting a key, etc.

After Firefox has been on for awhile, the Firefox tabs on the task bar disappear even though the pages are still running. I have to use Ctrl+Tab to fix it

I have started using Firefox recently. My computer is running XP. I notice that whether I have one Firefox window or multiple windows open, after awhile the Firefox tabs on the bottom task bar just disappear.
In order to get them back I have to use Ctrl+Tab to select each window one at a time and then they re-appear again on the task bar. Then after awhile they will disappear again.

i had to make a new apple ID so i could carry on using iTunes Store until iTunes support could sort out making sure i could re download my music and apps, now i cant use it at all and the ID i use is now playing up and now refusing to let me use either of my cards in the store!!! Can anyone help and / or advise me please?

I suggest you to send an email to itune sstore support. They can review your account and find out why it had been disabled.

After Firefox has been running a while, every link opens a new window

After Firefox has been running for a while, every link starts opening in a new window. Until today, if I closed Firefox and restarted it, it would stop happening ... until it started happening again. Then today, I closed it down and restarted it, and it was STILL happening. So either I find a solution, or I stop using Firefox on my Mac.
This is a vanilla installation - both for the Mac and Firefox. I don't use the Mac as my main computer. The Mac is running OS X 10.5 8. The problem has existed through many upgrades of Firefox. I always upgrade as requested. This last time, however may have been the killer. A new upgrade was installed right before the problem became unfixable by shutting down and restarting. I'm running Firefox 15.0. I just rebooted, however, and now (for now), it's working properly.
I have no add-ons installed in Firefox.
My only plug-ins are iPhotoPhotocast, QuickTime, SharePoint, and Shockwave Flash.
I've seen multiple reports of this problem on this Web site, but no solutions. Just a generic recommendation to disable add-ons to see which one is conflicting. But I'm running no add-ons. I think there's a bug in Firefox.

If it were an extension or theme or a Mac driver, wouldn't it cause the problem consistently? This only happens after Firefox has been running for a while. I'm using Firefox to type this reply right now, and the problem is not happening.
And it's not because I suddenly start using some offending software. As I said, I don't use the Mac as my main computer. Usually I'll have been using my PC, I'll go back to the Mac to check my email on Firefox, and suddenly the link problem is happening. I only use the Mac to check email on the server before I download it with Outlook (on the PC) so I can delete spam on the server first.

I don't think your mac is setting up. It's stuck.
I would:
hold the power button until it shuts down
unplug all peripherals
do a safe boot (restart and hold down the shift key until you see the apple logo).
If it starts up in a safe boot, then you can try restarting with a normal boot.
If it does not start with a normal boot, then you probably have some incompatible third party software. Likely culprits are:
MacKeeper
CleanMyMac
third-party antivirus software
any other "cleaning" or "optimizing" or similar third party "utilities".
A good place to start would be to uninstall any of those (while in safe mode) and then restart.

How can I delay my MBP from hibernating until the lid has been closed for a set period of time?

After extensive research, I have been unable to solve this problem and I'm hoping someone can explain this to me.   Everytime I close the lid on my 13-inch, Early 2011 Macbook Pro, it immediately starts to write to disk (solid light on the front) for several seconds until it finally goes into Hibernate mode (flashing light on the front). The problem is, I frequently close the lid, then immediately reopen it within 15-30 seconds to resume typing or to add something I may have forgotten.   Each time I reopen the lid before the light has started flashing, the MBP wakes for a moment, and allows me to resume typing. However, the Hibernation process has already begun and within 30 seconds, the screen goes blank.   I have to wake it AGAIN, which is very annoying.
Based on my research, I could use pmset to change the hibernatemode to 0 (it is currently set at 3).   However, I dont wish to disable hibernate mode completely; I DO want it to save a hibernation image to disk if it happens to run out of battery, so that when I resume I havent lost anything.
I then researched using standby and standbydelay to attempt a delay of the write to disk when going into standby mode.   According to the pmset manual:
standby causes kernel power management to automatically hibernate a machine after it has slept for a
     specified time period. This saves power while asleep
standbydelay specifies the delay, in seconds, before writing the hibernation image to disk and powering
     off memory for Standby
I then set these values as below, expecting the laptop to wait 4200 seconds (70 minutes) before trying to write to disk when I close the lid:
standbydelay         4200
standby              1
Unfortunately, that did not work either.   If I close the lid, the light glows solid immediately (indicating it is writing to disk), and if I try to reopen the lid before it is done, it will wake and seem fine, then 30 seconds later it goes blank right in the middle of me typing something.   I usually have to click the mouse several times, or even the power button to re-wake it.
I do have InsomniaX installed, for when I want to close the lid and keep the machine awake permanently (while watching videos on airplay) and I have tried quitting that application to test this. However, when I close/reopen the lid..the result is the same.   I cant keep InsomniaX enabled all the time, because it will never go to sleep when I truly want it to.   If I am not using InsomniaX, I just want to delay hibernation until he lid has been closed for a set period (say 15 minutes or more). If I have not reopened the lid within that time, I want it to write to disk and go into hibernation mode. And if the battery runs all the way out, I want it to go into hibernation mode before shutting down so I can recover.
I would appreciate any help in solving this problem. Also any insight as to why the standbydelay setting above did not work.   Thanks!

Whats with the MBP lid? Dont close it ... if you're so concerned! Just go to System Preferences/Energy Saver and set it to how you like it.

How to settle the expenses after AUC has been capitalised.

I can not see the settlement rule but investment profile since the project being a Capital comes from Investment measure and automatically created.

This requires a change in the settlement rule since the AUC is no more and it must be the settlement reveiver earlier which should be changed to the main asset after capitalisation.
Please go to Transaction code CJ20N, select the WBS and go to settlement rule via edit > Cost and set the receiver as the fixed assets itself instead of AUCV since AUC has been transferred to main assets.
You can then settle using CJ8G or CJ88 but CJ88 is a better option.

Tiles- Cannot forward after response has been committed Error

I am trying to use following approach for my tiles implementation but i am getting error like
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot forward after response has been committed.
I have gone thorugh the other posts regarding the same error but not helping me.

Workflow Shows as 'In Progress' after Workflow has been completed.

I have created a custom workflow using SharePoint Designer. Within this workflow I have multiple 'approval process' tasks. In theory this was so that once the first user had approved the item then the next would be prompted to approve the item, and
so on. The users that the item must be approved by are set when the item is submitted initially.
Just so anyone reading this knows I have no formal experience/education in SharePoint workflow design, but I would like to think I know my way around SharePoint(in general) at this point.
My problem is, the company I work for is just starting out using SharePoint workflows, and from what I understand workflows that are 'In Progress' are related to server performance. I noticed today that there are 5 items in the list which
under the 'workflow status' column display that they are 'In Progress' which is entirely correct. However, when I go to -> 'List Settings' -> 'Workflow Settings' this workflow is showing 8 workflows 'In Progress'.

According to your post, my understanding is that workflow shows as 'In Progress' after Workflow has been completed.
To send the task one by one, you can select one at a time(serial) when you select Task Process Participants.
Per my knowleadge, when you go to -> 'List Settings' -> 'Workflow Settings', it show all the workflows you associated to the list.
To see the running workflow, you need to select an item, right click the title, and then select the workflow.
However, each workflow enstance can only start once on an item. In other word, you can not start the same workflow again untill the previous one is completed.
As you said, workflow shows as 'In Progress'.
Please make sure all the users have approved the tasks.
