Set Global Properties for ADF components

My question is the following .... let me know how I can set global properties for a component and not have to set the same property in each of them.

Let me know if this answers your question:
For Attributes : set the properties in EO or VO. [You can set all UI properties too]
For labels: use Resource bundle
For Layout Components to set the look and feel. CSS/Skinning would be the best.
I guess this should cover most part of application.

Hi - I just got started with Azure using a Node-based web site and mobile services.
I am following various documentation in order to provide an API for users to upload images via a time-restricted SAS for the BLOB Storage.
In order to upload my image, I need to set the CORS configuration for the BLOB Storage. Unfortunately this cannot be done via the management portal.
I'm unclear as to how to accomplish this. I'm considering using the startup.js file in my mobile service to make a post request to the BLOB Storage REST API:

Unfortunately Node SDK does not support CORS functionality yet. Your option would be to write code which consumes the REST API for setting CORS. Not sure if it helps but there's a free tool out there written by my company which you can use to set CORS

How do I set individual properties for a column in report layout at runtime? I need to change this based on a user's input. This is for v10g.
I need to change either the "Read from File" attribute or the "File Format" attribute for one column based on the user's input. IS this possible?

At this stage, the global variables cannot be accessed with the configuration above. The only was I can get this to work is to cut and paste the global vairables into each form1.#subform[0] item, which of course defeats the purpose of global variables! I plan to have many more items so would not want to duplicate the global variables for all of them!
Can somebody show me how to do this?

Yes, I saw that option (I should have mentioned I already knew about it), but was wondering if there is a way I can do this via code.
There are two reason I want to be able to do it via code (only one of which may be valid):
1) I can automatically generate my pricing code form another inhouse app.
2) I am hoping that later on once I get this working I will be able take it a step further and get the data directly from a MySQL database!

Acrobat pro: how set default properties for arrow and line tool seperately?

I have a problem with the 'comment and markup' tools in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
I would like to change the defaults of some of the tools, eg the arrow and the line tool.
This can be achieved by right-clicking on something drawn using the tool in question and then selecting 'properties' - or by selecting the tool and then press ctrl+E, wich opens a 'Callout Tool Properties', and then change what you want there. The latter option keeps the changes as defaults - the former offers a box to tick in the 'properties' dialogue that opens - or, you can right-click on the object again after having changed the properties, and then select 'Make Current Properties Default'.
My Problem is now, that, apparently, you cannot choose and save default properties freely and for each tool. I woul like to have the default properties for the line tool set as the following:
-line color: yellow
-line thickness: 8pt
-opacity: 60%
and fot the arrow tool as this:
-line color: red
-line thickness: 1pt
-opacity: 100%
This all works fine as long as the program is open. As soon as I exit and start it again opening another document /the same one again, the arrow tool changes to
-line color: yellow
-opacity: 60%
only the line thickness remains at 1pt.
If I change the properties of the line to the ones I want for the arrow, the arrow properties remain unaltered if I close Acrobat Pro.
Why do these properties interfere? Why is it "line color/thickness" in both? Why, then, do only the opacity and the color interfere, but not the thickness - even if it's the latter two properties that are bot called "line xxx"? Why does Acrobat not save all properties for these two shapes seperately - even IF the two shapes are both of a line-like kind?
Is there a way to get around this?

1) Make sure you have installed any available upgrade for your version of Acrobat Professional.

Add new translated language resources for ADF components

Hello
I wish to add a new language for the ADF components.
Our product was translated in serbian language but some items like Next, Previous buttons or the OK and Cancel buttons in the popup dialogs of type OkCancel uses build-in resources of the ADF and does not provide the translation for all languages.
How is it possible to extend the resources of the ADF with any other language?
I see the old thread Re: ADF component language for the Georgian language.
And I guess there are more languages required by some customers.
Is there any solution available by the ADF how we can just provide the missed translations and configure ADF to load them?

Setting system properties for IDE JVM

I need to set system properties in order to turn tracing on for a JDBC driver being called by the IDE. Is there a way to do so?

Thanks for the reply, but I'm still not getting where I need to get. It appears that either the IDE runs a different copy of my jar file in some obscure location, or it runs with some sort of restricted permissions.
My driver does not seem to write to its trace file when running in the IDE. It works when I deploy things, but I need to trace the IDE since it does not appear to like something I'm doing.
I have put a line of code in the driver that writes to a file whenever an instance of the Driver Class is created, but that doesn't seem to get the job done, either. I even put this code in a static initializer. No go.
Any help greatly appreciated!

How to set global transactions for XA.

Hello,
I have configured 9i RAC active/active database into a active/passive.
The users were not able to connect using XA drivers.
I have run the xaview.sql script as sys in @O_H/rdbms/admin and granted select privs as below.
grant select on v$xatrans$ to public;
grant select on pending_trans$ to public;
grant select on dba_2pc_pending to public;
grant select on dba_pending_transactions to public;
Still users are not able to connect to the databases using XA drivers.
What is needed more to be set up on the database side?
Can any one let me know the detailed method to set global transactions(that is what I was told needs to be set up) on the oracle database.

Where are the settings located to set the path for CFC Components in CF9?

I have 2 coldfusion 9.0.1 instances running as separate windows services and they are some how cross referenced to one another. I need to fix this and I know it is just a matter of repairing a setting somewhere that is not readily available in the CFAdmin page and does not appear to be in any of the files located under the instances CFIDE and WEB-INF directories. Any help would be highly appreciated.

You can map a path to components in each instance application.cfc. this.mapping["/components"] = "C:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot\sitename\components\"; for example.

Setting environment properties for all EJBs

Hi to all, is there anybody who knows how to set and read properties available to all EJBs of the same application ? I'm thinking about something like the datasource declarations in the xml descriptor (jndi-definitions.xml).
I use BAS 4.5 and JBuilder 5.

One thing we did is to add them in a SystemValues.properties file. This works for us because all EJB's in our application extends a BaseBean and the BaseBean has a SystemValues member which contains a PropertyResourceBundle field.
If your EJB's do not extend a common class, I guess you can still use PropertyResourceBundle to get the properties.

How to set the background for all components?

Does anybody know how to set the DEFAULT background color in an application.. I need it because in jdk 1.3 the default bgcolor is grey and in 1.5 it is white.. and I wish white as well.. so to make it also white in jdk 1.3 I need to use the (a bit annoying) anyContainer.setBackground( Color.white ); and these are lots in my app.. So my question is: is there such an overall class with a function (say UIManager.setComponentsBackground( Color color ) ) for such a purpose?
any tip or link would be greatly appreciated

Set default properties for Tools Content Modification Add Text?

I'm running a French version of Adobe Acrobat XI version 11.0.0.
I'm not enquiring about or alluding to the other tool that can be employed for adding text: Sign > Add Text.
For instance, I'd like to change the default font, font size, font color, etc.

How to set screen properties for Customer fields in PO(Enhanced using BADI)

I have added one custom tab with seven fields in the PO item level using the BADI 'ME_GUI_PO_CUST and ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST'.
Now i want to change the screen property dynamically. According to some calculation i need to change the customer fields in display mode and change mode. when ever it is in change mode i need to set the fields as mandatory.
How can i implement this logic using this BADI. Please help in solving this issue.
