I am working with Oracle JDeveloper 3.2, using JSP, and I have this problem:
I did not find a method to set the field's prompt at the RowViewer (JSViewCurrentRecord Class).

The following function in DataWebBeanImpl.java shows how the attribute label is obtained.

You will notice that the value for the label is obtained via a call to AttributeDef.getProperty() or a call to rs.getViewObject().getProperties().get(sPropName) this means that you can set a property via the BC4J attribute or view object wizard and the DataWebBeans will make use of this property for rendering the prompts. You can edit an attribute's properties by clicking on the view object to activate it in the navigator and then right-clicking on the attribute to invoke it's editor. Once you have the attribute editing UI, you can click on the properties tab to add your new properties.

Hi experts,
For the component 'ICCMP_EMP_SRCH' there is a view 'BUPAEMPSEARCH' , which has 2 context nodes 'CUSTOMER' AND 'SEARCHEMPLOYEE' , i need to add the field 'NICKNAME' which is part of the 'CUSTOMER' context node on the search screen. Currrently all the fields on the screen screen are from the 'SEARCHEMPLOYEE' context node. when i did the configuration , the 'NICKNAME' field is greyed out . I have already generated the Getter ,Setter , GET_I, GET_M methods for the 'NICKNAME' field and the context node and controller class and context class are all active .
on debugging the GET_I method, i see that rv_disabled = 'TRUE' and the current = collection_wrapper->get_current( ) is returning empty value .
for this rv_disabled to be set false , the code below is not triggered since there is no value in current.

'NICKNAME' ) = abap_false. "#EC NOTEXT
rv_disabled = 'FALSE'.
ENDIF.
when i check for other search fields of context node 'SEARCHEMPLOYEE' , all the fields are set to rv_disabled = 'FALSE'.
can anyone suggest how to approch this. iam i missing any binding between context nodes or any activations ?
The field properties are set as Input field and the display checkbox is not checked.

How to include the field BSEG-FDLEV in the invoice FV60 and F-43

i am try to activate the cash management in my SAP, but i am not able to open the field BSEG-FDLEV (PLANNING LEVEL) in the additional data of the invoice voucher F-43 and FV60
Is there anyone that knows how to do it? i have played with the field status group of the reconciliation account and the posting key, but nothing happened.
I have understood that it should be some customizing company level.
Any help is more than welcome.

GB01 Table - Include the field BSEG-ZLSCH for the substitution rule

Dear all,
I am facing a problem in the configuration a Substitution Rule. I need to create a new substitution rule for the field BSEG-ZLSCH (Payment Method).
I am trying to include the field BSEG-ZLSCH in the table GB01, but it is impossible, the GB01 Table is not changeable. I not found out any Notes to solve this issue..
Does any body know how to change the GB01 table? Is it necessay to open an OSS to SAP?

Hi,
To make BSEG-ZLSCH substitutable you would need to write a short (10 lines or so) ABAP program to remove the 'X' from the field BEXCLUDE in the GB01 table. or You can remove this in debugging mode.
The 'X' marking meaning that the field is not available for Substitution as outlined in the note: 42615
Please note:
If you release fields other than the ones listed for substitution, then you must take responsibility for all the consequences!

Can not change the field BSEG-REBZG on the document line item

Hi,
I am not able to change the invoice reference field on the document already posted. I have tried config. settings on change document line items but unsucessully.
The problem is with the field BSEG-REBZT, if the field value is "V" RESIDUAL item I am not able to change it but if this field value is "Z" I am able to change it.
Can anyone who have come across this situation please guide me on this.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

How to populate a set of fields multiple time in the page ?

I have a requirement as follows,
My page contains 1. Add Button
2. Five fields.(one input text and four select one choice)
The fields are like one input text and remaining select one choice. And also these fields contains validations.
Actions
On click of add button , I have to show the fields , similarly I have to add one more set of fields in the page below the first set when I click the add button, Like this I will add as many as I need.
How to achieve this requirement,
1. Do I need to generate the view objects dynamically from managed bean ?
2. Do I need to create a custom component ?
For Time being , I have added 3 set of fields pages and showing one by one. I want to do this dynamically.
Please let me know the suggestion for this Requirement.

to do this:
1. reate a managed bean that exposes a HashMap property. The HashMap is of type e.g. Map<Person>
2. To create a new set of fields, add a new entry to the HashMap and refresh the af:form. The af:form contains and af:forEach that you use
to iterate as often as you have entries in the HashMap. Each text field you bind to #{bean.HashMapProperty['key'].attribute}, for example
#{bean.HashMapProperty['key'].FirstName}
#{bean.HashMapProperty['key'].LastName}
#{bean.HashMapProperty['key'].EmployeeId}
3. When the user updates a field, the HashMap is updated based on the "key"
4. The managed bean should be in viewScope and referenced from the field's value property

Issue with the field (Trading Partner) in the BW report

The Info Object 0PCOMPANY (Trading Partner) is having a reference char 0COMPANY in the BW system so the data for the field Trading partner text will be pulled from 0COMPANY_TEXT data source.
I have checked in the info object 0PCOMPANY in the tab master data / Text under text table properties it has checked in the medium length text exists.
Even i have checked with R/3 consultants and found the data for all of trading partners but i am not clear where i have to investigate on this issue.
Now the values for the field Trading Partner were not displayed in the report i have checked the properties of the field and found display as Standard: key and text.
Any help will be appreciated in advance.

Hi,
set the propety "display" to medium text for this charateristic either in the BEx report itself either in the query definition.
Ensure that the text are well loaded (run tran RSDMD with this IObj in norder to display master data)
Only having meduim texts will prevent you to display "key and texts" in reports.
You could enhance your IObj and enable short/long texts as well; in the transfer rules just load the medium text in short (truncate its length to 20) as well as in the long text.

Problem with the field length restrictions in the WSDL file

We have created a XSD file where we have defined fields and given some restrictions (like minLength, maxLength) for each field. See below one ex of one element "Id":

Here we have defined maxLength of this field as 40 chars. Our WSDL uses (refers/import) this XSD file and we ganerates java skeleton using RAD. But at runtime if we set more than 40 chars then also it is accepting. It is not throwing an exception. (In the generated java skeletion these restrictions are not reflected antwhere)
I have one question that, if such restrictions defined in the XSD file works or not? and is it a industry standard to define restriction in the XSD file?
If yes then what i need to do more to make it working?
If not then is there any way to do such validation of the fields that are input to the webservice? Or shall i have to just write my own java class to validate each field?

Or is it possible that we give length restrictions in the XSD (and import this XSD in WSDL) and generate java skeleton from WSDL then the restrictions defined in XSD are mapped into java classes?
For ex:

    </xs:restriction>
</xs:simpleType>so when in generated java skeleton we set value to "Id" element which is more than 40 charsthen it should throw a exception?
Is it possible by default or do we need to write custom validation classes to do validations on such fields?
Has anybody worked in such scenerios?
Or how to do field validations in webservice? Simple question.

How to change the fields order by pushing the TAB button?

Hello.
I have 4 input fields on a screen that i have build.
When i'm running the screen, I can move from one field to
another by the TAB button.
I need to set a different moving order that is performed by the TAB button.
For example: the fields are 1,2,3,4. if I use the TAB button to move from one field to another- the order is 1->2->3->4.
I want it to be 1->3->2->4.
Is it possible??

I can't modify the field MARC-LOSGR using the badi BADI_MATERIAL_REF

I have to force a value in the field "lot size" (MARC-LOSGR) when the system extends automatically a material with the transaction CK40N.
I tried to use the badi BADI_MATERIAL_REF, wich seems to be perfect for this purpose, but it doesn't work: after the badi the system resets the field to its initial value.
What can I do?

I've found this thread in the forum, and because I've the same problem (I need to set 1000 as default for marc-losgr) during creation/extension of a material, I'd like know how you solved your issue.
The BADI is called during CK11N and CK40N transaction, but even if I set the value in the right mode it's not saved on table MARC. Of course If I create manually the cost view by using MM01 the BADI works fine and the value is saved.

How to populate the field after execution of the application

Hello gurus,
I am creating one application and need your help. on my webdynpro screen I have few fields, out of these user will enter some and one field I want to populate when user hit enters. My application is to create a sales order, user will enter the details and hit create button that will create the sales order. Now what I want is when the sales order is created on the same screen the sales order number should also be displayed in the field : VBELN. Can you please tell me how can I get this.

Hi Rajeev, if I understand you want show in a field that was created the VBELN after execute BAPI, well I assume that this field is binding with context document->Att_VBELN. You can use the code below.

However in the field vttk-exti1 I don't know how can I asociate a custom match code to this field using Abap code.

TF20015: The field 'Assigned To' contains the value 'xyz' that is not in the list of supported values.

When creating a new work item, a list of valid users is populated in the 'assigned to' drop down list. When I select one of the listed domain user values, the drop down color changes to yellow and the error 'TF20015...' is shown.
When selecting the user 'Team Foundation Server Service user' instead of one of the domain users, another error is shown. The 'Assigned By' seams to be valid but the 'Changed by' property, which contains my current domain user 'xyz', seams
to be an invalid value.
Error occurs in Team Explorer for VS2008/2010 and Team Web Explorer
Environment: TFS 2010 RC
Does anyone have some tips where to look at?
