Set trigger property using JDAPI

Hi.
I have a couple of forms I need to modify using JDAPI. Among others I need to set trigger property "Fire in enter query mode" from no to yes. But I just cant find the way how to do this.
Any help would be appreciated.

  • Set system property using -D flag that references another system property

    Hi,
    I'm interested in doing something like the following
    java -Dmy.prop=${user.home}/.tmpdir
    Setting the property in Java code is not an option.
    Can this be done?
    Thanks for helping.

    The only way I think you could do this is to ask the os for this value.
    i.e windows: $HOMEDRIVE\$HOMEPATH
    java -Dmy.prop=$HOMEDRIVE\$HOMEPATH\.tmpdir
    linux: ~
    java -Dmy.prop=~/.tmpdir
    Or to use a small java application to return the value into the command line:
    java -Dmy.prop=$(java HomeDir)/.tmpdir
    class HomeDir {
      public void main (String ... args) {
        System.out.println(System.getProperty("home.dir"));
    }

  • Set component property using top level api

    Hi I have a requirement to change the property of a component.
       I can use javax.jcr.node  and use setProperty method.But I want to have the same functionality using sling or wcm api.

    Hi Sham ,
         See I want to change the sling:resourceType of the components that are present in pages .So generally we will do
         Node snode= we will convert (/content/www/en/jcr:content/component) to node
      then  If (snode.hasProperty("sling:resourceType){
                    snode.setProperty("sling:resourceType","XXXXX");
    We will do as mentioned above.
       Now I dont want to do this using JCR api (here javax.jcr.node) . I want to have the same functionality using wcm or sling API.

    i have set required property of 3 items on pre-update trigger of a block such that if user updates a listbox and if the updated value is 'P' for perentage then the user must fill all the 3 fields but even after setting the required property the record is saved if the fields are empty. the trigger is firing & everything looks ok. the portion of code i've used is:
    BEGIN

    PAUSE; /*TO CHECK ENTRY ON TRIGGER*/

    put your code in when-listvalue-changed trigger for that 'P' trigger.
    to put it in existng place is still too late.

  • How can i change the code in when new form instance trigger using JDAPI

    Hi all,
    Can anyone tell me how can i use JDAPI to modify the when-new-form-instance trigger in all my forms,coz we have around 500 FMB's ,if this is possible by using jdapi it will be better for us..
    Thanks in advance..
    Najeeb

    Hi Najeeb,
    The code I've given you should cover the basic steps - you will need to have a basic knowledge of Java if you want to use the JDAPI, there's no way around that unless you go and buy one of the off-the-shelf products for this kind of thing (I think there's one called orcltoolbox..?)
    I've written an application that does all kinds of things to Forms specific to our needs, so it's a bit tricky to just pull out the code you need, but again, the basics will be:
    String formName="C:\some_dir\some_form.fmb";
    FormModule mForm=FormModule.open(formName);
    Trigger myWNFITrig=Trigger.find(mForm,"WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE");
    String myText=myWNFITrig.getTriggerText();
    And there you have your trigger text, to do with what you please. You could put this code in the main() method of one class if you want to keep things really simple - but see how you get on, if you have any more specific questions, do come back.
    Eric - that's a very good point about using Regular Expressions. I haven't used them in my JDAPI app because I wanted to keep all my .fmbs 6i-compatible for the short-term, and a posting I saw somewhere recommended sticking to Java 1.3. Which rules out the regex facility, which only appeared in Java 1.4. Now, though, I think I needn't have worried - it surely shouldn't matter which version of Java I use to make the changes to the .fmbs. My stupid!

  • [solved] Using xprop to set a property

    xprop(1) has a "-set" option. I can't figure out how to use it. The "surf" browser is scriptable by setting a property named "_SURF_URL" to the URL you want it to load. I've tried these:
    $ xprop -id 14680096 -set _SURF_URL http://www.google.com
    xprop: error: unsupported conversion for _SURF_URL
    $ xprop -id 14680096 -f _SURF_URL STRING -set _SURF_URL http://www.google.com
    xprop: error: Bad format: STRING.
    (The "id" is the one printed by "surf -x", and is correct, since I can use it to read properties.)
    How do I use this?
    Last edited by ataraxia (2009-08-12 14:55:01)

    The -f option isn't that straightforward... see the description of 'format' and 'dformat' in xprop(1).
    This should work:
    xprop -id 14680096 -f _SURF_URL 8s -set _SURF_URL http://www.google.com

  • How can I set a property when an event happens? (selection changed on datagrid)

    I have a datagrid, I would like to change the backgrund of the datagrid when the selection changed event is fired.
    I can not use data trigger, because is in the case that I expected a value, but in this case is when change, to any value.
    An option is to use an event trigger, but all the examples that I have found is to use with an actions, and I just want to set a property.
    How could I do that?
    I am using MVVM pattern, so I would like to avoid the use in code-behind.
    Thank so much.

    You could use an event trigger and implement your own TriggerAction<T> that sets the background property. There is an example of how to create a custom TriggerAction available here:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/942548/setting-a-property-with-an-eventtrigger.
    The following example sets the Background property of the DataGrid to a red SolidColorBrush when the SelectionChanged event is fired. It should give you the idea:
    <DataGrid x:Name="dgrid"
    xmlns:local="clr-namespace:WpfApplication22">
    <i:Interaction.Triggers>
    <i:EventTrigger EventName="SelectionChanged">
    <local:SetPropertyAction PropertyName="Background" TargetObject="{Binding ElementName=dgrid}">
    <local:SetPropertyAction.PropertyValue>
    <SolidColorBrush>Red</SolidColorBrush>
    </local:SetPropertyAction.PropertyValue>
    </local:SetPropertyAction>
    </i:EventTrigger>
    </i:Interaction.Triggers>
    <DataGrid.Columns>
    namespace WpfApplication22
    public class SetPropertyAction : TriggerAction<FrameworkElement>
    public string PropertyName
    get { return (string)GetValue(PropertyNameProperty); }
    set { SetValue(PropertyNameProperty, value); }
    public static readonly DependencyProperty PropertyNameProperty
    = DependencyProperty.Register("PropertyName", typeof(string),
    typeof(SetPropertyAction));
    public object PropertyValue
    get { return GetValue(PropertyValueProperty); }
    set { SetValue(PropertyValueProperty, value); }
    public static readonly DependencyProperty PropertyValueProperty
    = DependencyProperty.Register("PropertyValue", typeof(object),
    typeof(SetPropertyAction));
    public object TargetObject
    get { return GetValue(TargetObjectProperty); }
    set { SetValue(TargetObjectProperty, value); }
    public static readonly DependencyProperty TargetObjectProperty
    = DependencyProperty.Register("TargetObject", typeof(object),
    typeof(SetPropertyAction));
    protected override void Invoke(object parameter)
    object target = TargetObject ?? AssociatedObject;
    PropertyInfo propertyInfo = target.GetType().GetProperty(
    PropertyName,
    BindingFlags.Instance|BindingFlags.Public
    |BindingFlags.NonPublic|BindingFlags.InvokeMethod);
    propertyInfo.SetValue(target, PropertyValue);

    1. Why are you using JDAPI to upgrade from 6i to 10g? You can use the Forms Migration Utility instead.
    2. Are you running this in UNIX environment? If yes, have you set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to $ORACLE_HOME/lib directory?

    Hi WL USERS
    Is their a way to set system property in weblogic console ie (http://localhost:8080/console) ? if yes, can we access that property in code using System.getProperty()?
    Regards
    vishy

    Yes, It is Possible.
    Please check the Option-1). Mention in the Following Link: http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2010/03/26/nodemanager-based-managedservers-setting-mem_args/
    Here i tried to set a Custom Property "*-Duser.dir=E:/MyDirectory*" through the Admin Console.
    NOTE: Setting any Option like JAVA_OPTIONS/CLASSPATh etc through Admin Console will work only when you start your Servers using the NodeManager. It means when you start your ManagedServers through AdminConsole...or Using nodeManager based WLST scripts.

  • Is it possible to add a property using variable in variable name?

    I want to query for a list of virtual machines within a folder, then create a menu of the host names using forms.  Since the list of machines is subject to change, I want to build the list each time the script is run, rather than build off a static
    list.
    For each virtual machine I need to create the list of variables below:
    $hostnameX = New-Object System.Windows.Forms.checkbox
    $hostnameX.Location = New-Object System.Drawing.Size(10,20)
    $hostnameX.Size = New-Object System.Drawing.Size(100,20)
    $hostnameX.Checked = $true
    $hostnameX.Text = "Type"
    $hostnameX.Controls.Add($hostnameX)
    The location and size values need to be incremented but I think I can figure that part out.
    I can use New-Variable to generate the initial variable. But I receive errors using the same method to try to create a new property for the variable.
    $VMS = Get-Cluster MyCLUS | Get-vApp "My vApp" | Get-VM | Select Name,PowerState | Sort Name
    For ($i=0; $i -lt ($VMS.count); $i++)
    $VMS[$i].Name
    $VMGUEST = "$($VMS[$i].Name)" -replace("-","")
    New-Variable "CB$VMGUEST" "New-Object System.Windows.Forms.checkbox"
    New-Variable "CB$VMGUEST.Location" "New-Object System.Drawing.Size(10,20)"
    In the above, $CBVMGUEST1 =  New-Object System.Windows.Forms.checkbox which is what I want,  but $CBVMGUEST1.Location is not set.
    Is there way to add a property using a variable in the variable name?  Or any other suggestions on how to tackle this issue?

    Hi,
    maybe another approach is a bit easier.
    Use a hash-array like
    $CB = @{}
    $CB[$VMGUEST] = New-Object System.Windows.Forms....
    $CB[$VMGUEST].Location = New-Object System.Drawing....
    Mit freundlichen Grüßen Jens Kalski
    That's the correct answer.  Anytime you find yourself wanting to create variables named "Widget1", "Widget2", "Widget3", etc... it's a pretty clear indication that what you really need is a collection object of some sort.  That might be an array,
    a hashtable, or any other data structure for holding other objects, depending on your specific needs.

  • How do I retain a PDF form widget's design when setting its value using Javacript in Acrobat?

    I've been experimenting with interactive PDF forms in InDesign and JS in Acrobat. I think I've encountered something that might be a bug: widget design is overriden when using Javascript to set the field's value in Acrobat. Here's what a checkbox, for example, should look like when checked:
    However performing:
    var f = this.getField("Checkbox");
    f.value = "Yes";
    in the JS Console results in the widget's appearance defaulting to acrobat's:
    I've tried every single widget property documented in Acrobat's Javascript API Reference to no avail. Initially, checking/unchecking using the mouse works fine. Once the value has been set using JS, Acrobat's default black check character is used for all subsequent toggling, including when using the mouse...
    How does InDesign export interactive PDFs with custom icons for widgets? Is there any way to enforce the use of those icons using JS in Acrobat Pro? What's the difference between selecting a checkbox or a radio button using the mouse and setting its value using JS?

    I thought it might be the case, too, but all widgets have the same properties both before and after setting the value with JS. I did this check using all documented properties in Acrobat JS Reference in an attempt to figure out what might be going on.
    By the way, I don't think Indesign necessarily uses glyphs for the checked state of widgets, although in this case a glyph is used (albeit with different stroke and fill colours for the glyph, acrobat doesn't allow setting these properties AFAIK). With Indesign CS6 it seems you can practically use any Indesign tool to design the widget's On and Off states. So I'm thinking that maybe Indesign exports these with button-like properties where there are no restrictions on appearance (I think there is an "icon" property/object for buttons or something like that). However Acrobat treats them as checkboxes, so if that is the case it is more of a hack. Is there a way to probe an object's various properties other than using JS or the properties pop-up dialog?
