Set up std. price for proc.type F parts (External Procurement)

Experts,
what is the comon way to set up Std. price for materials with Proc.Type F (External procurement). Current I am using KKPAN and set cost out of PIR and material burden as seperate line.
Looking for a way to have the material burden as fixed value in the system which I can use as base for calculation.
Thanks in advance
Jörg

Dear ,
For any FG material you should have Standard Price (S)  in Cost2 view  getting updated thrugh CK24 after ck11n done during production process .
For any Externally procured item , you should have MAP or Planned price with Valdidty .Generally duing planned cost estimaiton , planned price will be considered  while you will do good issue agianst production order , systm will consider  the MAP to calcualte the cost of the material .
Now to update the price you should carry out MR21 with new price for company code , validdity date , price control indicator  and valution variant .
Generally in project scinario , you can use MAP for FG material .

  • SRM 4.0- How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC

The radio button “Service” should not be visible.
Also for search help (e.g. search for internal products) where a search should only be possible for product type 01 (goods). The system should not display the product type and internally always search for goods only.
How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC
We needs to use Search help BBPH_PRODUCT which having parameter PRODUCT_TYPE
Here we can set defalut value 01 but it is not correct one since same search help is using several places.
We need to limit the search help results only for SC.
    Kindly help out me ASAP.

The easiest way to set defautl values is to edit the batch class.
Goto the characteiristic and go to update values.
In here you probably have something like 0 - 100 as a spec range.
On the next line enter the default value within this range.  At the end of the line, click in the box in the column labelled "D".  This indicates the defautl value for the characteristic.
If you need to you can do this in the material classification view as well.
Just to be clear, these values will only show up in the batch record.  You can not have defautl values in resutls recording screens.

  • Set Manual Account Assignment for movement types.

There is a movement type for which I set "Field is suppressed" with OMB6. Then, on the UI of MB1A, I couldn't see the "account number" field. But on UI of MIGO, the "account number" is still available for user to maintain. Is there anything wrong? Shouldn't I to config this with "OMB6"? Please help. Thank you.

In OBYC for Transaction GBB,  instead of BSX,  maintain BSA, VAX & VAY for each Valuation Class of material and its respective G/L Account.
For example, if you are trying for a FERT material, then the entries should be
    0001::::BSA:::::7920::::::4XXX30
    0001:::VAX:::::7920:::::::5XXX30
    0001:::VAY:::::7920:::::::6XXX30
Also check in OMJJ whether you have the settings as follows:-
    MvT::S::Val.Upd:::Qty.upd:::Mvt::Cns:::Val.stng:::Cn:::TEKey:::Acc mod:::Check acct.
    561::::::::::::X::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::WA01:::::2:::::GBB:::::::BSA::::::::::::::::X

  • Examples for Fixed and variable prices for activity type

    Hi,
Can someone please provide a real life example for the fixed and variable prices of an activity type?
Moderator: Search SDN and SAP help material

    Hi,
Fixed Price are those expenditures which remains constant in total amount irrespective of change in Volume of production.Eg Rent will be constant even if your production volume changes. The activity price calculated for such expenditures will also be constant per activity rate even if there is a change in the volume of production.
Varriable price on the other hand changes with the volume of production .e.g power cost will change if you produce more.the the activity rate say KWH/ton will also change and its price will also change if you produce more.
Generally activities for service center fixed costs will yield fixed price.
Once you are done with planning in KP26.these plan amounts are used for standard cost estimate.when you are doing standard cost estimate, cost will calculated from BOM(Materials cost) and Routing(here you have activitype plan cost/hr.no.of hrs to finish goods).
once you are with standard cost estimate it will update material master.
To calculate variances(target costs Vs Actual cost),we use target cost.target cost is nothing but your standard cost estimate cost for that particular materials(Finished or Semi -Finished).
you can check this in OKV6 T.code.
    Thanks,

    Quit iTunes.
    On the external drive;
1 - Create new folder called iTunes (or whatever you want).
2 - Move your music folder into this.
3 - Go to the the C: drive iTunes folder.
4 - Copy the iTunes library.itl file into the iTunes folder on the external drive.

  • Do I need to set AI colour profiles for use in ID?

    My previous set up:
    Mac
    CS2 (Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge)
    Quark XPress 7
    My new set up:
    PC (Win 7)
    CS5 (Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign)
    My problem:
I work for a company that prints newspapers, but my dept also does work for glossy sheetfed printers (magazines leaflets etc)
All my work is exclusively CMYK.
With my previous set up - I didn’t want to have to switch my colour profiles via Bridge as I was constantly juggling two types of jobs:
Our tabloid press - Profile - ISOnewspaper26v4 (CMYK)
Sheetfed Printers - Profile - ISO Coated V2 (Fogra 39) (CMYK)
So I set my CS2 Suite colour settings to  ISO Coated V2 (Fogra 39) and set an action in Photoshop to convert jpegs / eps photos to ISOnewspaper26v4.
So my CS2 working space was set for Sheetfed glossy publications and if I wanted to set a picture to the correct profile for newsprint I just had to open the picture and hit the action that applied the ISOnewspaper26v4 profile.
Regarding Quark – I set up separate templates for each type of job:
One for Profile - ISO Coated V2 (Fogra 39) and one for - Profile - ISOnewspaper26v4.
Regarding Illustrator - I found that Quark 7 didn’t differentiate between Illustrator colour profiles, or if it did, it didn’t show up in ‘Usage’.
If I went to Quark Usage and went to ‘Profiles’ it only listed the Quark profile and any Photoshop profiles, not any Illustrator profiles.
So in Illustrator I just set colour profiles to ‘do not colour manage this document’. So that I only had to worry about changing profiles for Photoshop jpegs / eps’s.
So I had a good little system going that served me well and now my company decided to move us to PC’s and CS5; and I still have the same problem – juggling newsprint jobs and glossy magazine jobs and not wanting to have to synchronise my CS suite colour settings every time I switch between jobs...
So I was hoping to stick with my little system on PC / CS5.
So basically my question is, do I need to worry about Illustrator colour profiles if I am bringing Illustrator files into InDesign? (To clarify, my Illustrator files are always pure vector, so there is no chance of some rogue RGB jpeg sneaking through on a Illustrator file)
Im open to suggestions regarding my set up, but really would prefer not to have to keep switching my colour profiles.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, I wasn't suggesting that your PDFs be exported to RGB, but it is a common workflow these days to keep photos in RGB until you convert them to the correct profile during the export process. This maximizes the potential for re-purposing your documents and allows you to use the same RGB photos for different output purposes without having to do separate CMYK conversions for each destination, so long as you don't need to do any tweaking after the conversion.
And to answer your question, if the .ai files have no embedded color profile they will ALWAYS be considered to use whatever the CMYK working space is in your ID file, so the numbers will be preserved. This means that there will be slight differences in color on output on different devices (the whole point of color management, after all, is to preserve the appearance of colors by altering the numbers for the output device).
Does the vector work you get from Thinstock come with an embedded profile? Is there any color that is critical for matching, such as a corporate color (which should be spot, but that's a different discussion), or do you use the same art in both the newspaper and magazine, and does the client expect a match (which we know isn't going to happen anyway)?
If there's no embedded profile when you start, there's no way to know what the color was supposed to look like, so color management is not possible, really. You can assign a profile, but you'd be guessing. Since the correct appearance at that point is unknown continuing with out color management shouldn't present a problem. The only case where you would need to manage the vector art would be if the color APPEARANCE is critical or you need it to match across different outputs, and in that case you would need to assign a profile and allow ID to preserve the profile on import and remap the numbers, which means you would likely get rich blacks someplace. Since it's unlikely that you can get a good match going from glossy to newsprint, I probably wouldn't even try -- you wouldn't want, for example, to tag the art as newsprint, and have it print subdued on the gloss if it would look better or more correct with the other profile. Color management would be much more useful if you were going from sheetfed to web on the same stock.

  • Moving average prices and std prices

    hi friends,
i have a doubt abt prices...
which will b assigned for raw materials-standard price? or avg moving price? and why?
if possible explain clearly about avg.moving price and std.price
for spit valuation what price we will use??
    help me out..
    thanks in advance...
    venkat

Standard price are used for products that do not fluctuated frequently.  It is usually used for finished or semi finished products.
Moving average price are used mainly for raw materials that are purchased externally.  The advantage of using moving average price for your raw materials is that your inventory costs will always reflect the current market cost.
SAP strongly recommends that you do not select price control V for semi-finished products and finished products, because doing so will very easily cause the calculation of unrealistic valuation prices. SAP recommends:
Price control V for raw materials and trading goods; price control S for semi-finished products and products
We recommend that you only use price control V for materials procured
externally. Materials produced in-house should be subject to a
    standard price control.
Generally all raw materials (ROH), spare parts (ERSA), traded goods (HAWA) etc. are assigned as moving average price (MAP)  because of the accounting practice of accurately valuating the inventory of such materials. These materials are subject to the purchase price fluctuations on a regular basis.
The semi-finished goods (HALB) and finished products (FERT) are valuated with standard price because of the product costing angle. If these were to be MAP controlled, then finished/semi-finished product valuation would fluctuate due to data entry errors during backflushing of material and labour, production inefficiencies (higher cost) or efficiencies (lower cost). This is not a standard accounting and costing practice
For Split valuated material it is recommended to use Moving average price

  • Inspection lot for inspection type 08

    Hi Eperts,
    Please tell me following:
Inspection lot does not create when transfer material from plant to plant.
Created STO PO in plant 1000. Issueing plant is 2000.
MMR maintained in both plant with inspection type 01,08 activated in both plant.
As per me system should create inspection lot after GRN takes place against STO PO in plant 1000.
    What could be problem.
    Regards,
    Raja

    Hi Raja,
In your previous posts you referred to performing a 101 movement to try get an inspection lot of type 08, this is incorrect.
For movement type 101 you need to activate inspection type 01 and place a block on the q-info record against the vendor in order to get an inspection lot of type 01.
In your scenario, you are wanting an inspection lot of type 08. This is an internal stock movement and wont work with a 101 movement as this is for incoming stock. You should activate inspection type 08 on the material master and use a movement type such as the 322 to move stock to quality inspection. This will create an automatic inspection lot of type 08 as long as you have set QM not active = '  ' for mvt type 322 under SPRO -> Quality Management -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection Lot Creation -> Inspection for goods movements -> deactivate quality inspection for a movement type.

  • Default lot size for MRP type

    Hi,
Can we set default Lot size for MRP type ?
    Regards
    Karthik

    Dear,
Yes you can do it by creating material master with MRP Pofile.
First you need to create MRP Pofile in MMD1 where you need to define the LOT SIZE and MRP TYPE which you want then make these value as Fix Value.
Then Create material master MM01 with this MRP Profile and check your result.

When i am executing costing run (CK40N) for a FG, the price field in Std price for a raw material is getting updated.

    Rakesh Hase

    HI Ian,
Given enough time and money, anything is possible....
You do not say which industry you are operating in. In some SAP industry solutions the functionality you describe is available - if I remember correctly IS Mill Product has something like that. It is available for use by companies that for example make copper cable. They get a regular copper price from an exchange.
But it would be relatively simple to get a feed from an exchange with the daily closing price, and then write a little program that will read that file and post an MR21 transaction to update the price.

  • Formatted Search - Calculate GP Base Price for Non Inventory Items

    Hi Experts,
On one of our customer's 8.8 PL 15 installation, requirement was to calculate GP for Non Inventory Items (on SO screen). Since SAP does not automatically calculates it we proposed and implemented following solution.
    1. Have all Non Inventory Items to be costed at Standard cost so that you can manually enter the cost in the Item Master.
    2. Write following formatted search on GP Base Price field so as to calculate the GP Base Price for the Non Inventory Items only. The formatted search must not make any changes to Inventory Items as we want system to calculate the GP automatically (just in case cost changes from SO to Delivery or Invoice).
    DECLARE @II AS nVarchar(1)
    DECLARE @COST AS Numeric(19,2)
    SET @II = (SELECT OITM.InvntItem FROM OITM WHERE OITM.ItemCode = $[RDR1.ItemCode])
    SET @COST = (SELECT     (OITW.AVGPrice * $[RDR1.NumPerMsr]) FROM     OITW WHERE     OITW.ItemCode = $[RDR1.ItemCode] AND
         OITW.WhsCode = $[RDR1.WhsCode])
    IF (@II = 'N')
    BEGIN
    SELECT @COST
    END
    3. Formatted search achieves what was originally required however if a user overwrites the Item Code (Inventory Item) in the SO then above formatted search clears the GP Base Price field and sets the GP basis for the item as "Manual". By obverwrite means user first selected item A0001 on line 1 and then entered A0002 on same line i.e. Line 1.
My question here is what is wrong in the formatted search that is resulting in this behaviour.
Any questions please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Devinder

    Hi Gordon,
Thanks for taking out time to help me however Key requirement here is
Write formatted search on GP Base Price field so as to calculate the GP Base Price for the Non Inventory Items only.
Your query sets the base price for GP Base Price for Inventory Item to ZERO and Base Price By to Manual.
Note that my Formatted search has a problem only when an Inventory Item line is overwritten. I am not sure if this is a problem with SAP itself rather than my query.
    Any other ideas please?

  • Maintaining of Currency for Activity Type

    Hi,
Plz let me know the solution for this issue and inpact of this on on other applications. My Controlling Area Currency is EUR but my Co Code Currency is INR and in Cost Center Master Record I maintained the  Currrency for this as INR.
When entering the price for Activity type which is attached for this Cost Center.
Tell me know in whcih currency can I maintain the price for this activity type and what is the impact on this ?
    Plz it is very urgent.
    Br,

Since the controlling area currency if EUR, the activity rates will be in EUR. In itemization you can display the cost in INR as well as EUR.

  • For Externally Procured Materials (ex - ROH) - SG's are maintained or not?

    Hello
Do I need to maintain SG's ( like SG10, 40, 70) for ROH as these are externally procured?
As I see since ROH are externally procured, no need to maintain the SG (10, 40, 70,etc) in MRP 3 view of the ROH* material master as SG's (10, 40, 70)* are meant for maintianing PIRS & PIRs means it is inhouse production
Iam not limiting myself to SG's (10,40, 70) for ROH, instead any SG need not be maintained for ROH (externally procured)
If I want to see that ROH materials get consumed by  the FERT then maintain SG 40/70 for the FERT/HALB (inhouse production) that should consume the ROH (externally procured)
    Questions:
Q.For externally procured materials do I need to maintain the SG?
    Q. If no need to maintain SG's for externally procured materials then what fields do I need to maintain to see that externally procured material which are used in the finished product gets consumed by sales orders?
    Please clarify
    Thank You

    Pradeep
Thank you for your reply & time
If the component is semifinished & is externally procured, then following settings needs to be maintained
    Procurement Type : F
Special Procurement Key : 30 (subcontracting)
But Subcontracting(30) is used when we want semifinshed product to be manufactured outside the company from a raw material issued by the company
& control key we maintain is PP02
In above scenario, then we go for subcontracting or else we need not maintain the subcontracting
    Please clarify

    what does MRR stand for
