Set Visible AutoManagedAttribute with XML

Hi all,
I've set the Visible Automanaged Atribute of an Item by code, so the item is not visible in Add and Find modes.
oForm.Items.Item("Refresh").SetAutoManagedAttribute(BoAutoManagedAttr.ama_Visible, 6, BoModeVisualBehavior.mvb_False)
This works perfect!
I then saved the XML form and removed the coding for the automanaged attribute (the line of code above), and now the Item's automanaged attribute doesn't work anymore.

This behavior is constant is both B1 2007A PL44 and PL46.
Does anyone have the same problem??

  • Skin Setting not working with XML file

    I am trying to use the Adobe Flash Playback with a flashvars skin setting.  I am pointing this setting to an xml file where I am trying to overide the playButtonOverlay image.  Below is my code.  I am using MVC, so you will see a couple Html Helpers.  The helpers are working just fine.  It is only the skin setting I can't seem to get to work.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks, Michael.

    Thank you both for replying so quickly.  I still don't seem be having too much luck.  The first thing I did was watched fiddler, and it did show an error with crossdomain.xml.  So I added the below elements to a crossdomain.xml file in my root folder.  I also changed all my paths to be absolute for both the skin flashvar and xml, but still no luck.

    Since I am having trouble with the xml, I decided to try and just put the skin element into the html page where the flash player is located.  I then removed the flashvar skin element out of the player.  Below is my code for the skin element and flashplayer with absolute paths.  The player still seems to use the default overlay play button.  Any other suggestions would help out greatly.

  • Create appointment using EWS and set BusyType with XML

    Hi guys,
    I have Exchange 2010 and am trying to create a calendar appointment using EWS with XML.  Everything works fine, but the "BusyType" option doesn't work.  I want the appointment to show in the calendar as "Free", but instead it
    shows as "Busy".  Here is what I have for the XML:

    I've also tried using "LegacyFreeBusyStatus" which also didn't work.  Can someone tell me how to modify my XML so that the appointment shows as "Free"?  The actual XML was generated using a workflow tool called "Nintex
    Workflow 2010", and I simply added the BusyType option to it.  I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not.  Thanks in advance!

    BusyType is not an element of the CalendarItem type it belongs to the CalendarEvent type which is part of the GetUserAvailability operation. There is a full list of CalendarItem elements on

    Ive got everything in place for producing PDF reports via XML Publisher through ORACLE Financials but I'm stuck on the last

    According to the notes (Publishing Concurrent Requests with XML Publisher - An Oracle White Paper Jan 2005) I've come
    across, I need to update the concurrent program definition with a default template (when you submit a request, its in the
    'upon completion' last section where theres an option to change or enter a template layout) yet this section is GREYED OUT.
    Now according to my notes, to create a template you..
    "Setting a Default Template....to select a default template in the Update Concurrent Program page available from the System Administration
    responsibility (Note that this field is available only from System Administration. It is not available from the System
    Administrator Forms interface)......."
    My query is, where is this 'Update Concurrent Program page'..?

    OK, so now I've found out how to 'default a template for EBS 11i' (System Administration > Concurrent > Programs - notice its Administration not Administrator)... but its unavailable.. in the the 'OnSite Setting' tab there was no box visible for me to enter a template filename. Does anybody know why this could be?

  • Update a system form with XML: empty screen when this is a target document.

    Hi,
    It is possible to update a system form with an xml file.
    In the UI_Application.LoadBatchActions(xmlDoc). In the xmldocuemnt I update a system form by adding controls on it. This all works fine, except one (big) problem.
    Assume that I Alter the 'Good Receipt PO'.
    This document can be the target document of a Purchase order document. When you open a PO and click the icon on the toolbar for going to the target document, you see the target document filled in, in OK (view) mode.
    When you alter the 'Goods Receipt PO' form with XML you get an empty goods receipt form, in Add mode.
    Is this a known problem, how can I solve it?

    Cemil - yes, you can use XML data types.  Use the class
    com.sap.lhcommon.xml.XMLDataType
    for your parameter type.  Here is a snippet from a custom action we use to log XML (instead of just returning the #text node like the default logger does):

    XMLUtils is a helper class we wrote - it's just a bunch of standard Java XML boilerplate code.  The important part you need to know is XMLDataType.getDocument() will return an org.w3c.dom.Document.

  • ViewKind Parameter Ignored in ProjectItem.Open if ProjectItem is Set to Open With Default External Editor

    Hi all,
    In my VS2010 extension, I have just encountered a situation which I can find no workaround for. As always, I went to Carlos Quintero's MZ-Tools first to see if I could find an answer. In this excellent article of his (http://www.mztools.com/articles/2007/mz2007027.aspx),
    he discusses how to get "the ProjectItem in the desired view using ProjectItem.Open(viewKind), which returns an EnvDTE.Window object."
    This is the behavior I have experienced until I noticed that if a user selects "Open With..." and sets a default external program to open a given item with, I can no longer programmatically open the item in the text editor (this is required
    functionality for my extension, since I am not setting the Window to visible, anyway). The screenshot below illustrates my point, even though I am working with my own custom extensions.
    In this case, calling ProjectItem.Open with every available ViewKind value will cause Program.cs to open in Notepad rather than the text editor. The Window returned from the Open call is always null in this case.
    Is there any way I can force an item to open in the text editor, regardless what its default program/viewer is? Thanks for your help,

    I don't think that is a bug but a limitation of the automation model.
    As workaround, you can use the following method:
    IVsUIShellOpenDocument.OpenSpecificEditor
    If you want something somewhat more palatable you can use the following method:
    VsShellUtilities.OpenDocumentWithSpecificEditor
    Editor guids are stored in the registry entry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0_Config\Editors, but since you are only interested in the text editor guid, you are lucky because there is already a constant defined Microsoft.VisualStudio.VSConstants.GUID_TextEditorFactory.
    There is also a constant defined for the logical view: Microsoft.VisualStudio.VSConstants.LOGVIEWID.TextView_guid.
    So, even if text files are set to open with Notepad, this code should open them in the text editor:

    check the setter method for the property LANG_CD in com.dst.fourx.model.codeModel.CodeGroupDisplay.
    it must be like -
    setNlsLanguage(CodesGroup xyz) { ... }
    The paremeters must be objects, not the type of the database column. We can specify the actual field in CodesGroup which acts as the foreign key in CodeGroupDisplay in the "property-ref" attribute of <many-to-one> element in the mapping file for CodeGroupDisplay.
    This worked for me. Hope it works for you too.

  • Help with XML - AS 3.0

    Hello everybody. I decided to start working with XML since it allows me to load assets externally and edit my applications later very easily without having to edit the fla file itself. So today I watched and read a few tutorials and now I'm trying to build an Event Scroll, all through XML and AS 3.0 code. Basically what I want is to have several events inside a movieclip which I will incorporate into a scroll pane when I'm done, for now I'll focus on extracting data from the XML file and parsing it with AS 3.0. The layout is simple: a thumbnail image on the left, and beside it on the right there is the title of the event, its date and some info about it and all of these should have a dark grey background while the text is in white. Each two events are 30 pixels apart and there are 5 events for now.

    oh I've just noticed one little problem, in my info field, the text doesn't break and start a new line, it just keeps going horizontally although I've set it to multiline and gave it a width and height... so what shall I do to fix this problem? here's the code:

  • Issue with XML display.

    Hi,
    We have generated IDocs for Invoices and also dispatched it using RSEOUT00 program via an XML port. IDoc is getting generated and is being placed in the application server successfully. But, when we download XML to the local drive and open, it does not display due to error in the header of the XML, which is currently '<?xml version = "1.0"?>'.
    We identified that this issue is due to missing character set encoding in the XML header and correct header format should be '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>'
    Can you please tell me how to incorporate this character set in the XML header by a particular setting in the configuration of the IDoc set up so that, our idocs are correctly converted into XMLs with this character set?

  • Query SQL datastore with XML where clause source

    Hope I am in the right place.  New to Bus Obj Data Services Designer....I have cerated xml schemas, added it to the page as an xml source in.  Mapped a test xml file and all is well there.  I have added a query that grabs the xml.
    I need to then query the MS SQL datastore ans use  the data form the xml query as the where clause.  How is this done?  Or do I put a query on the datastore for all the data in a table then do anotehr query filtering one with the other?  seems like that would be rather heavy and low performance.  The results will then be sent back out as xml (schema and test file already set up as an xml out)

    I´m running into a problem though. After I create my dynamic View Object using a ViewDef, I need to create some view links.
    So I get the AttributeDefs of the columns (source, and destination) from the method findAttributeDef (which is the whole purpose of performance in my post). This method is returning the correct Attribute Def, but when I create the view Link with the method createViewLinkBetweenViewObjects(java.lang.String vlName,

  • Restoring af:selectBooleanCheckbox value after setting visible=true

    Using JDev 11.1; I have a table that displays data from a model object, and one of the columns contains true/false values which we render in the table using an af:selectBooleanCheckbox. All works fine except that user is able to hide the table by expanding other components which sets visible=false on the bounding component for the table. If user elects to redisplay the table by reducing the other component zoom, then the table displays again but the selected check-marks/tags do not return.
    Thought initially it might've been because the query was being reissued on the table, but not so. More about the selected attribute on the af:selectBooleanCheckbox, which I have set to the default (false). So the value property is set to the table collection attribute as required to interface with the model, but I need to know what to set the selected attribute to. I can see that when the table is redisplayed, this default value of false is being sent through to the model which is discarding the values I want to retain.
    I've tried some EL in the selected property to set it to true/false based on what's in the table, but the problem with that is that it becomes essentially a read-only control. I need to find some way to disable the value assignment when making the table visible again. Any suggestions?

    In ADF BC, one way we deal with this is by adding a transient Boolean attribute to the View Object with getters (translate 0/1 to false/true) and setters (vice-versa). Then, we bind the UI to the transient attribute. It's been so long since I've done EJB's, but could you take a similar approach?

    If you have a custom XML schema (not a plist), consider two approaches.
    1. Before showing your table view, use NSXMLParserto deserialize the XML document into an NSMutableArray that will be the table view data source.  Typically the array contains custom class instances; one or more class properties are used to set table cell properties in cellForRowAtIndexPath.  If you have never worked with NSXMLParser (or any other SAX parser) before, start by creating a sample app so you understand how that works.
    2. Use a 3rd-party DOM parser like GDataXML.  Load your XML document into a class property in your table view's viewDidLoad.  Then the XML document will be the table view data source since elements and attributes can be directly queried using XPath in cellForRowAtIndexPath.  If you have never worked with XML DOM and XPath before, start by creating a sample app so you understand how that works.
    If your have a lengthy complex XML document, option #1 might be more efficient because indexed array access is faster than XPath queries.  Theoretically that is why Apple's Cocoa provides DOM support on OS X but not iOS.  There are strategies to improve efficiency if necessary, including your own indexing scheme.  The best solution depends on many factors.  For example, if your XML document includes thousands of rows, but users rarely scroll past the first 10, option #1 would waste time parsing everything.
    Both of these approaches keep all data in memory, which is fast but not friendly.  Perfectly fine for reasonably sized data sets.
