SetSelectedValue for multiple values in List Box

Hi,
I want to set the selectedValue for multiple values in the List Box. If i use setSelectedValue for all the values, it just highlights the last one.
Can anyone tell me how do i highlight multiple values in the List Box?
Scenario:
I have one screen where the List Box and "Go" button is placed. When i select multiple values in the list box and hit "Go" it should display what i have selected in the List Box.
Note: List Box is generated dynamically.

setSelectedValue as the name indicates will set one value and in your case since you are using it multiple times it would pick the last value.
When the user selects multiple values from the list box and clicks on Go you can capture those values in the controller for processing. What are you trying to achieve by resetting all the selected values on the same listbox ?

Get all fields of the form
    CALL METHOD request->get_form_fields
      CHANGING
        fields = table_fields.
loop over the fields
    LOOP AT table_fields INTO wa_fields.
test the name of the field
      CASE wa_fields-name.
        WHEN 'test'.
retrieve the value of the field
          test = wa_fields-value.
endcase
endloop.

How to hold the value in List box.

Hi All,
On my screen painter Screen I am displaying the Sold to party and ship to party with thier address.
I am also displaying the Shipping condition based on ship to party. To display the shipping condition i am using list box. Once the user enter the sold to party automatically all the field is going to populate in their respective fields. I am facing the problem that, The list box getting populated with shipping condition but once you choose the shipping condition and hit the enter the list box getting refreshed. I am using this code in PAI event. And I can Only use this in PAI.
The Function i am using for list box is CALL FUNCTION 'VRM_SET_VALUES'.
Pls suggest me how to hold the value in List box.

How to search for multiple values with Bex Prompts

I would like to know if it is possible to search for multiple values at the same time with Bex Prompts instead of searching one value at a time (please see the screen shot below). I searched the forum couldn't find any relevant answers. please let me know how to achieve?

Hi Charvi,
You can use wild card search to ensure you get multiple similar values listed as search output.use * for multiple characters and ? for single character.
For Example, Ravi * would result you all employees with first name as Ravi
You can use various search formats such as * Ravi * and * Ravi and Ra?? etc.

I could be wrong here, but I do not believe you can pass a multiple valued parameter to an SQL Command data source. How I have gotten around this in the past is to put the "real" report into a subreport. In the main report, create a formula field (basic syntax):
formula = join({?parameter}, "|")
Then, use this to pass the selected values to the subreport's parameter (call it {?sr-parm}). The SQL Command in the subreport can then use that (MS SQL):

from table
where charindex(table.field, '{?sr-parm}') > 0

Multiple value selection lists - Problem filtering

I'm builing a news application with publisher, and one of the fields is a multiple value selection list. We're filtering news stories to different pages based on the values. Problem is, I can't get the right content items to display. I did it no problem with a single selection box. The code I'm using is:

if you want to display a fixed values in the dropdown you can use list box ui and can specify values there
or if u want to display values from the context node of the webdynpro

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to get peoplepicker multiple value in text box.
You can set the default value of the text box to:
eval(eval(Person, 'concat(pc:DisplayName, "; ")'), "..")
Or change XPath (advanced) to
xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(../my:group/pc:Person, 'concat(pc:DisplayName, "; ")'), "..")

Dynamic where clause for MULTIPLE values

In the following of dynamic where clause?
i have some somewhat different problem.
Is a dynamic where clause for multiple values possible?
If the inputvariable varCode1,varCode2,varCode3,varCode4 are 0 then show all id's otherwise filter the resultset on var1 and/or var2,and/or var3,and/or var4.
Example table:

How to set a default value for a drop down list box and then apply cascading based on the default value in Infopath 2010.

Hello Everyone
I have two drop downs. Both are coming from look up fields from two lists. i want to set a default value(first list item) for the first drop down list box and then apply cascading based on the default value for the next drop down list box. I found one article(http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2010/display-first-item-drop-down-list-box-infopath-2010.htm)
where in i can set a default value but i can't apply cascading based on that default value. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Missing values in list box in SM30 - interval defined for domain

I'm facing the following problem:
Table maintenence view has been generated for a z-data table via transaction SE11. For one field list box has been set and even though the domain (SO_ESCAPE; standard) behind the field has (fixed) values they are not displayed (I cannot see them in the dropdown list) in trx SM30 when trying to maintain it .
Important is that on "Value Range" tab of the domain we can see that interval is defined (satandard).
In order to test this thing we copied the domain, assigned to a z-data ttpe, z-field, etc. If we remove the interval of the domain we can see the values in the list box in trx SM30.
Is this standard (=normal behaviour of the system)? Can we display the values somehow for the satndard domain (with interval)?
remark:
Removing the lsit box setting we can see values (including the interval) using F4 in trx SM30.

Multiselect List Box should display Simulator_Type Values
Simulator_Type Values           Values to search for in the column simulator type

For Eg : AC - small signal is selected in the :p1_simulator_type multiselect box, The data where the word AC is in simulator_type column should display
Examples of data in the simulator_Type column:

ac, dcOp, Periodic Steady-pss
AC - small signal
AC Small Signal, Operating Point, Periodic Steady
AC - small signal, SSNA
DC - operational point
ET - Envelope Transient
So , here if i select AC - small signal from the multiselect list box , then the data where "AC" is there in simulator_type has to be displayed , in this case the data associated with
ac, dcOp, Periodic Steady-pss

AC - small signal, SSNA
has to be displayed...
currently i have the report query below which is working but only when one simulator type is selected ....

It seems to me like you don’t really understand how multi select items work in APEX. This type of items (we are talking about multi-select list, checkbox and the shuttle item) don’t really returned multiple values. They returned a single value that contains multiple segments, each include one valid option. By default, each segment is delimited with a colon (:). In your case it means that if you chose two values from your static LOV, the returned value will look similar to “HB:DC” (or any other combination of options). Now you need to work with this value.
The way your RFA_SIMULATOR_TYPE column build, you can’t really work with the multi-select value, as you’ll never find a match to it, as this is actually an artificial value that only exist as a result of your multi-select.
Regarding the new query you are trying, you wrote yourself that “i am getting the data with all the simulator_type select”, and that is correct. Where in this query you are using your filter (:P1_SIMULATOR_TYPE)? This is not the way to go.
You need to break the compound value returned by your multi-select items, and work individually with each segment. You can do that in two ways. The simple one, as I already suggested, is to add another column that will contain only the code describing the simulator (similar to the returned value of the static LOV). In this case, using the instr() function you are checking if the column value is included in your filter (it’s a revered angle – you are actually checking if the single column value is included in your filter and not if the filter included in your column).
The second option is a bit more complicated and it involves slicing the filter itself and dynamically build your query, using the “SQL Query (PL/SQL function body returning SQL query)” report option. In this case we are going to use the APEX built-in function APEX_UTIL.STRING_TO_TABLE(). The following is a very simple code example that you’ll need to adapt to your scenario:

The idea is to present a list box to allow for the selection
of multiple records. The records' primary key field having been set
up as the value parameter in the list box. Then use a single update
statement to update all selected records with a common value.
I have tried to do this using code similar to:

Where the parameter is configured thus:

((Request.Form["MyListBox"]' Type="Int" />
The idea is that the multiple selection listbox will return a
comma separated list, which should l work nicely with the WHERE
[column] IN ( .. ) syntax.
Unfortunatley if more than one record is selected the
Complier throws a type conversion error.
I want to do this using Dreamweaver and C# on .NET.
Any ideas how to proceed ?

Multiple Selections in List Box

Hello all. I am new to the Adobe Family and especially PDF designing, so please bear with me. I have gone through the Help section, and did searches on here to find an answer but have not had luck. I need to make a list box that the user chooses multiple choices. As in some forms that have if you hold down the CTRL button you can choose multiple choices. During my searches I keep finding coding lines. I'm not sure how to do coding at all, I'm using the Designer 7 template forms where I can choose the icon, and then go over to Object, Value, etc. Is what I want to do even possible with Designer 7? If so, how can I make this work. If not, what program would I need to use? Thank you in advance for your help!

When I look at either a list box or a drop-down list and look at the "Field" tab I do not see a "Allow Multiple Selection" checkbox. I am using designer version 7.0.041126.0. Is it not supported in this version or am I missing something.
