Setting Additional JMS Parameters ...

Hi experts,
We are using PI 7.1 and I've set up a communication Channel using JMS Adapter to send
messages to a Sonic MQ queue.
I need to send some values as JMS parameters, two of which are constants and two are values
from the Sender message. I tried defining and setting up the parameters with constants values
in the Communication Channel under the Advanced tab by selecting the check-box
set Adapter-specific Message Attributes as follows:
Name          TYPE
ContentType          String
ReturnValue          boolean
Name          VAlue
Contenttype          CompanyCode
ReturnValute          true
This however lead to an error in the Adapter Engine (RWB).
My problem is:
1. Can anyone please instruct me as to how to go about defining and setting up
   additional JMS parameters?
2. How to go about defining/setting up variables that will get their values from
   the sender message?
Thanks & Cheers,
Joe

Hi,
I am trying to send a file over FTPS (FTP using SSL/TLS) .
But  it fails with the following error in RWB - Communication Channel monitoring:
Error when getting an FTP connection from connection pool: com.sap.aii.af.lib.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException:
Unable to create new pooled resource: FTPEx: 'AUTH TLS': command not understood
I running NW711_05 and my FTP Connection Parameters are as follows:
Server:                                                                   OurServerName
Port:                                                                          21
Data Connection:                                                      Passive {even tried Active but got the same error}
Timeout:                                                                    20
Connection Security:                                                FTPS (FTP Using SSL/TLS) for control connection
X Use X.509 Certificate for Client Authentication
Keystore:                                                                 service_ssl
X.509 Certificate and Private Key:                           ssl-credentials
Do I need to do any specific configuration/settings on the receiving FTP-server side?
kind regards,
Joe

  • JMS Adapter - Set Additional JMS Parameters or Replace Default Settings

    Hi colleagues,
    We are using PI/XI 7.0 (SP 12).
    In trying to set up a Communication Channel using JMS Adapter to connect to Oracle AQ, I do not see the checkbox "Set Additional JMS Parameters or Replace Default Settings" , nor is the table for the parameters / value visible.
    We have deployed the driver file as described in the How-to- guide: How To Install and Configure External Drivers for JDBC & JMS Adapters
    [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f04ce027-934d-2a10-5a8f-fa0b1ed4d88f?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]
    In setting up the Communication Channel so far:
    Type: Sender
    Transport Protocol: Access JMS Provider Generically
    Message Protocol:  JMS 1.x
    Adapter Engine:      Integration Server
    After this I expect to see the checkbox  "Set Additional JMS Parameters or Replace Default Settings", but it is not there.
    Therefore I am not able to select it in order to enter parameters like:
    JMS.QueueConnectionFactoryImpl.classname
    JMS.QueueConnectionFactoryImpl.method.setHostName
    JMS.QueueImpl.classname
    JMS.QueueImpl.constructor.... etc
    Can someone please share if this because we are on too low SP or do we need to do something additional before it becomes visible?  Is this a feature that only became available as of PI/XI 7.0 SP 13 or 14 ?
    I checked both Sender and Receiver channel type, and it does not appear for both.
    Thanks & Cheers,
    Jodie

  • Setting additional JMS message properties

    Hi ALL,
    I have a requirement where I need to create an adapter module to set additional message property for JMS.
    The property name has to be Key_String specifically.
    I am not sure whether to specify this name in the code written for the module or in the channel configuration.
    Please help.

  • JMS set additional properties

    I am using jms adapter and I would like to set additional jms properties.  I've checked "Set Additional Properties or replace default settings" in my comm channell and I've entered certain key/value combinations.  Unfortunately it does not work.

    Hi KittyCat101,
    If I understand correctly, you want to use a parameter to filter Status field that starts with “Is” or “Can” or “Fi”. If in this scenario, we can refer to the following steps to achieve your goal:
    Modify the available values for @Status parameter to “Is”, “Can” and “Fi”.
    Right-click the tablix or dataset to open the properties dialog box.
    Select Filter in the left pane, then add a filter like below to filter Status field:
    Expression: =Fields!Status.Value like (Parameters!Status.Value & "*")  Type: Boolean
    Operator: =
    Value: true
    If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Additional JMS Destination Attributes

    How can I associate additional attributes to an Administered Object in
              JNDI? Specifically, I want to add a JMS Destination (Queue) to the
              JNDI context. I want the Queue to also have 2 additional attributes
              for my application to process. The additional attributes I need to
              associate with the Administered Queue Object are: Reply-To-Queue and a
              boolean value (log message or don't log message).
              I went into the JNDI namespace (iPlanet Directory Server in this
              case), and manually added additional attributes in the
              javaReferenceAddress. The JMS API did not choke on this, but I can't
              figure out a way to expose this either.

    I found that if I in the JMS receiver queue tick Specify Additional JMS Message Properties (Maximum of 10) and provide the name JMSReplyTo and the value Sting I can collect the ReplyTo queue name via a parameter in the operation mapping and the value of that parameter I can set to the Dynamic Configuration variable DCJMSMessageProperty0 in a UDF like this:
    String x = container.getInputParameters().getString("replyToQueueName");
    DynamicConfiguration conf1 = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION) ;
    DynamicConfigurationKey key1 = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS", "DCJMSMessageProperty0") ;
    conf1.put(key1, x);
    return "";

  • Additional JMS Message Properties

    Hi Guru's,
    I am looking for a solution to dynamicly set the filename for JMS receiver adapter. What I have found so far is that this should be done with the Additional JMS Message Properties...
    Based on a field from the source structure I want to determine the filename which will be send via the JMS adapter. Is there any documentation available on how to achieve this?
    Best regards,
    Guido Koopmann

    I have written an UDF to determine the filename dynamicly:
    //write your code here
    String str = "SAPDATA-" + a + "ES" + ".xml";
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration)
    container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey FileName = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http:/"+"/sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    conf.put(FileName, str);
    return "";

  • How u will set the external parameters like packet size and number

    How u will set the external parameters like packet size and number of parallel process.

    Dear Karthik,
    <b>ALE:</b>
    Use Transaction UPSC02         -      ALE Distribution Unit: Packet Types.
    Performance Optimization for <b>ODS</b> Objects:
    To ensure a good ODS object loading performance, take the following into account:
           1.      Creating SIDs
    The creation of SIDs takes a long time and can be avoided in the following cases by:
           Not setting the indicator for BEx Reporting if you are using the ODS object only as a data store. If you do set this indicator, SIDs are created for all new characteristic values.
           If you use line items (for example, document number or time stamp) as characteristics in the ODS object, in the characteristic maintenance, indicate these as Attribute Only.
    SIDs are created in parallel if <b>parallel activation</b> is switched on (see last point). They are then created with the same number of parallel processes as created for the activation.
    However, if you specify a server group or a special server in customizing, these specifications are not only valid for the activation, but also for the SID creation. The creation of SIDs runs on the application server on which the batch job also runs.
           2.      DB partitioning in active data tables (technical A table)
    By partitioning by database level, you can delete data from the ODS object much more quickly. As a partitioning criterion, choose the characteristic by which you want to delete.  For more information on partitioning database tables, see the database documentation (DBMS-CD). Partitioning is supported by the following databases: Oracle, DB2/390, Informix.
           3.      Indexing
    Use selection criteria for queries for ODS objects. If the key fields are specified, the existing primary index is used. The more frequently accessed characteristic should appear on the left-hand side.
    If you did not specify the key fields completely in the selection criteria (visible in the SQL trace), you improve the run time of the query by creating additional indexes. You can create these secondary indexes in the ODS object maintenance.
           4.      Activation of data in an ODS object
    To improve system performance when activating data in the ODS object, you can make the following entries in Customizing under SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SAP NetWeaver -> Business Information Warehouse -> General BW Settings ->  ODS Object Settings:
           the maximum number of parallel processes when activating data in the ODS object as when moving SIDs
           the minimum number of data records for each data package when activating data in the ODS object, meaning you define the size of the data packages that are activated
           the maximum wait time in seconds when activating data in the ODS object. This is the time when the main process (batch process) waits for the dialog process that is split before it classifies it as having failed.
           the server group that needs to be used when activating the data in ODS objects in parallel You have to create the server groups beforehand using the following path: Tools -> Administration -> Network -> RFC Destination, RFC -> RFC Groups. If you do not specify anything here, then the activation runs on the server on which the batch process was started for activation. If a server from the server group is not active, then the activation is cancelled.
           5.      Loading unique data records
    If you only load unique data records (meaning data records with nonrecurring key combinations) into the ODS object, then the loading performance is improved when you set the indicator Unique Data Records in the ODS object maintenance.
    The records are then updated more quickly because the system no longer needs to check whether the record already exists. You do have to be sure that there duplicate records are definitely not being loaded, because this will lead to termination.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Button in Bex Analyser 7.0 - problem with setting up Static Parameters

    Hello,
    I know a similar problem has been discussed here already, but I am still having problems with setting up Static Parameters of my Button in BEx Analyser 7.0, so that I can pass Variable values from that button to my query.
    This is what I do - in Static Parameters of my Button I set the following values:
    Name                          Index          Value
    DATA_PROVIDER        0               DP_1
    CMD                             0               PROCESS_VARIABLES
    SUBCMD                      0               VAR_SUBMIT
    VAR_NAME                 0               0RMA_FIP
    VAR_VALUE               0               004/2010
    As a result, I would like the value 004/2010 to be passed to variable 0RMA_FIP (which is mandatory) and the query to be executed with that value. For some reason, however, the value is not passed correctly, and instead the variable is filled with a blank or not filled at all, and I am getting a message "Specifiy value for variable Fiscal year/period". What do I do wrong?
    Just to give you a broader picture - I would like to later use this logic to pass more than one variables into a query, including a hierarchy node, and read the values from an Excel worksheet - however, after many attempts to do so, I started playing with just one variable to figure out what the problem was.
    I have already seen the following two threads and SAP notes on passing variable values from the button:
    Re: Button in BEx Analyzer 7.0
    Re: How to set variables values via VBA.

    Can anyone please advise?
    Cheers,
    AL

    I managed to figure it out myself!
    Instead of VAR_VALUE I need to enter VAR_VALUE_EXT, and it works fine.

    When you saye a you have set all the parameters, does that include the cell size in the print module? Are you printing on 5 x 7 paper? And, if you are, have you set that paper size in the page setup?

  • One MIDI input, one set of modulation parameters for the EXS24

    This might be somewhat of a neophyte question, but here goes:
    I'm interested in being able to set a specific set of modulation parameters for each note in series of notes inputted into the EXS24. I'd like to be able to bypass any sort of complex routing techniques with the modulation matrix or automating the parameters in the arrangement window. For instance if I input 2 C1 notes, one right after the other, of the same length, I'd to be able to set the velocity, filter values, ASDR values, etc. of the first completely independently from the second. The main reason I ask this is that for instruments such as a guitar (which has multiple strings), one note might be able to be played at high velocity, high release, low attack, for instance, while another one might be played exactly after that (on a separate string maybe) with low velocity, high release, high attack, etc., etc. In order to achieve this more realistic sound, would I have to work with multiple instances of the EXS24 (and then maybe just group them all together?), or is this sort of micro-manipulation of all the modulation parameters for each individual midi note input somehow possible with just one instance of EXS24?
    Hope this makes sense!

    Do you have a controller with polyphonic after touch? you can already have different velocities for note attacks and filters with a standard velocity sensing keyboard. If your board sends release velocity you can also have a different release for each note. With poly after touch you can have different vibrato depth for each note. If you want differing mod speeds for different notes I'd have to give it more thought...
