Setting create date for versioned documents

Hi,
I'm trying to explicitly set the create date for a versioned document (as in, the versions for the document), using the Content DB java API.
What I'm trying to do is basically this (pseudo-code):
- Create an unversioned document (the folders do not have auto-version turned on) with the create date explicitly set. This works fine.
- Make it versioned
- Check it out, upload a new version with the create date set, check it back in
It is at the last step where I seem to have problems -- the act of checking a file back in seems to reset the create date to be the date of checkin rather than the date I set.
Is there any way of accomplishing what I'm trying to do?

Custom master data for Sales Document Number

Is it possible to create master data for "sales document number" as a custom field and/or table in R/3? We have a need to record the "end user" customer of an order but this data may be updated a long time after the order and sale is complete. IT seems that loading to BW/BI may be simpler if this is treated as document attributes rather than transactional data since no delta will be trigger by changes to this field. Does anyone have experience with this approach?

it is possible to create attributes for this InfoObject. Add the Attributes you need in BW. You can use the attributes even if the sales doc is line item dimension of your cube.
On Sourcesystem side you have to create a generic extractor in SBIW. I think a table view on VBAK or VBAP may fullfill your needs. Of course the tables are not the smallest ones but maybe u can use the timestamp to implement a generic delta. Check whether the timestamp is set when the 'end user' is set. Not every change in the sales document leads to an entry in the delta queue of logistic, but the timestamp should be set.
After that replicate the datasource to BI and connect it to the attributes of 0SALES_DOC
I had a similar enhancement at one customer reading the actual transport routes to the sales documents and it worked fine.

Are there any special settings for SUBWORKFLOWS
There is no Special Setting for Sub Workflow.
Only error which i get in my inbox is
Please repair the suspended workflow
1) Once you get the Error, open a new session goto T.code SU53 and see any authorization issue
If Yes, send the screen shot to Basis Team to get the authorization.
2) If Authorization is fine, Check the binding for that Workitem Regenerate and Test it . Also Check the Workflow log and see which step error is showing, then see the Step history comments. .

Change to existing sales order - There is no incompletion data for sales document

we have just started TM in our sandbox system. When we change an existing order we get the following message:
There is no incompletion data for sales document and the order change does not get sent to tm. Creating a new order and changing all works fine. Is there something to be done with existing orders?

How secure is the DocumentRevisions-V100 data for versions?

How secure is the DocumentRevisions-V100 data for versions? Im concerned that if I open and work on a Numbers or Pages document from an encrypted disk image, Versions would save an unencrypted version within the database, making the encryption useless. Does anyone know if this is a problem or not? If so, is it fixed with Mountain Lion?

Normally, you post a reversing document in the same period you posted the original document. The period of the original document must be open to post a reversing document. If the period is not open, you can overwrite the posting date field with a date in an open period, such as the current period.

Can't set due date for to do in iCal

I'm not sure if I'm blind or not, but i can't seem to set a due date for my to-do events. There's an option to say that there is a due date, but all it does is that it bring the view to the current day and changes the icon to an alert icon.
Is anyone else facing this problem?
I'm using iCal Version 3.0.5 (1270).

Click on "due date" and define your requirements (day/month/year) ...if...you have set the preferences to match your requirements in System Preferences...>International>Formats>Region:/Dates/Times.

Error while creating Discussions for a document inside a room

I am getting an error when i am trying to start a discussion for a document. When i go back to the details screen and try to add a discussion it shows that the discussion is actually created inspite of the error being displayed.

How to use BAPI_OBJCL* to set classification data for Techn. Objects - PM ?

        I´m working in a project to integrate some legacy system with the ECC 6.0, and I need to do some activities like, create functional locations and equipments in SAP PM, I have done this creating Z RFC modules that call bapis like BAPI_FUNCLOC_CREATE and BAPI_EQUI_CREATE, but these BAPIs doesn´t fill classification data, so, in a first moment, I solved this using BDC, but I would like to solve these needs using standard BAPIs if possible.
        To solve the classification, I tried to do it using the BAPI_OBJCL* BAPIs(BAPI_OBJCL_GET_KEY_OF_OBJECT, BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE_KEY), but I didn´t find any example of using these bapis with technical objects, so I tried to test the BAPI_OBJCL_GET_KEY_OF_OBJECT in a first moment and, when I call it passing '003' as classtype(003 is the classtype for the functional locations), this bapi returns me "Class type 003 requires additional objects"(the same occurs if I try it with 002, for equipment). What means this message ? Need I to do some customization in img/spro, or cannot these bapis be used with PM technical objects ?

        I have found the solution for this problem, I found that I was trying to use the wrong functions for my case, so, to solve my needs here, I will use BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE to set the classification data for Functional Locations and Equipments, and I can use BAPI_OBJCL_GETCLASSES to list all classes assigned for a Technical Object, and BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL to get all characteristics assigned to a Technical Object for a specific class.

Setting Due Date for task using business days

While this may not be new news to many, I found little information on how to add a certain number of business days to determine the due date for a task to be used in a workflow. For SharePoint 2010 environments that cannot run custom code, I have
found a solution that utilizes two additional columns in the task list. The first column I named
Deadline (a number with no decimal places), which will contain the number of business days until a task is to be completed.
The second I named Business Deadline (a calculated column returning a
Date and Time). The formula for the calculated column is:
=[Modified]+INT(ROUNDDOWN([Deadline]/5,0)*7)+ IF(WEEKDAY([Modified]+MOD([Deadline],5))<MOD([Deadline],5), IF(WEEKDAY([Modified]+MOD([Deadline],5)+2)=7,MOD([Deadline],5)+4, IF(WEEKDAY([Modified]+MOD([Deadline],5)+2)=1,MOD([Deadline],5)+3,MOD([Deadline],5)+2)), IF(WEEKDAY([Modified]+MOD([Deadline],5))=7,MOD([Deadline],5)+2, IF(WEEKDAY([Modified]+MOD([Deadline],5))=1,MOD([Deadline],5)+1,MOD([Deadline],5))))
The workflow on create in the task list then is:
Set Deadline to {number of business days}
then Wait for Deadline to equal {number of business days} 'Necessary to ensure the Business Deadline has been set
'then Set Due Date to CurrentItem:Business Deadline

Sales order created date for Quotation

Hi Experts,
Need your advice,
I need to create report, my requirement is below,
Quatations, Quatation created date, First sales order created date.
so for this, I've created new Infoobject ZSODATE, ZREFDOCNUMBER which will bring date for sales orders
logic used :
Doc Type : ZPRO (sales orders) and ZPRQ (quatations)
so ZREFDOCNUMBER will have all document number of DOC TYPE = ZPRQ & ZPRO
For Eg.
Quatation = 200001 created on 20/07/2010.
sales order created under quatation 20001 is 53 on 22/07/2010.
Now I need a report like this
Quatation = 200001
Created on = 20/07/2010
First Sales order created = 22/07/2010.
but my out put is
Quatation          Created date               First sales order created
200001             22/07/2010                      22/07/2010
                      20/07/2010                           x
Note I've created formula variables for created date and first sales order created.

Are you having Autation creation date and Sales order creation date in seperate filed?
If yes then Just put the global filters on document type as per need.
Display all required four fileds in report.

I tried the code you posted .its working for pdf documents (they are going to indexed Media ) but not for word documents.

How to change the created date for a file?

I searched and found someone had asked this question last month, and an answer given was to try the site:

which I had previously found. However, when I follow the instructions I get a message stating "-bash: -t: command not found"
I have gone through this numerous times, always with the same result. Is it possible that the direction given are not valid for Snow Leopard?

First, thanks to both of you for helping - I hadn't realized that the 'touch' was part of the command itself. However, when I type in:
touch -t 0904131115/Users/RobertFately/Desktop/suttonallen/suttonallen.jpg
to test the procedure (there is a jpeg file I made today named suttonallen inside a directory of the same name) I get this error message:
touch: out of range or illegal time specification: [[CC]YY]MMDDhhmm[.SS]
This happens if I use the full year (2009) or just the last two digits (09) as seen above. My thinking is that I am attempting to redate the "create date" to April 13th of this year with an arbitrary time of 11:15AM.
