Setting "model" attribute from java

Hi!
I want to write this uix code in java:

                                                       <contents>
                                   <column>
                                                                 <columnHeader>ss
                                                                 </columnHeader>
                                                                 <contents>
                                                                      <textInput>
                                                                      </textInput>
                                                                 </contents>
                                                            </column>
                                                       </contents>
                                                  </table>
Can anybody tell me what should i write here?
               table.setAttributeValue(table.MODEL_ATTR,???);
??? = ${bindings.DepartmentsView1}
Thanx in advance: Gabor Nyerges

setting the model attribute in java is not supported.
The model attribute is a parse time property. At parse time it is resolved to individually bind the "real" properties.

    I need to know how to set environment variables from java
    I want to set from java for example the environment variable "TestVar" with the value "TestValue"!1) That functionality does not belong in an application. You're trying to set environment variables, which are global across all applications, at either the user level as a whole, or across the entire machine (system level). Or, if you're only trying to set a variable active for the current process, you don't need to do that.
    2) Environment variables are not a platform-independent entity, and are thus against the nature of Java.
    My gut feel is that you are designing something in a backwards way, so my point is mainly to point that out, not to try to help you solve that particular problem.

  • [CS5 - JS] Setting XML attributes from variables...

    Hi,
    I build an XML variable in order to store informations I need to run my script.
    The XML structure is quite simple:
    var document = new XML("<document><pages><page/></pages></document>");
    All "page" nodes are appended using a simple for statement.
    If I need to append an attribute to a "page" node I usually use this method:
    document.pages.page.@height= 210;
    What if I need to append an attribute without knowing its name (because it is stored in a variable)?
    Is there a something like this?:
    document.pages.page.setAttribute(var_name, 210);
    Have no idea how to handle this...

    Try this:
    document.pages.page['@'+var_name] = 210;
    @+

  • Set XML attribute from SetValue using Xpath

    Is there a trick to assigning a value to an attribute of an element in an XML variable using XPATH inside a setValue activity?  When I try something like
    Location
    /process_var/xml_var/test/@ID
    Expression:
    /process_var/test_value
    it complains about the @ sign in the location assignment.  I seem to be able to retrieve attributes just fine.

    Still having this issue.
    If I have an XML process variable which currently contains
    <Document>
        <Title />
        <Author />
        <Date />
    </Document>
    Try this, it fails.
    Location: /process_data/xml/Document/@ID
    Expression: 54
    Try this, it works.
    Location: /process_data/xml/Document/ID
    Expression: 54
    Now, alter the XML by adding an ID attribute
    <Document ID="">
        <Title />
        <Author />
        <Date />
    </Document>
    Try this, it works, where it failed earlier.
    Location: /process_data/xml/Document/@ID
    Expression: 54
    It appears to me, you can ADD a new node, but you can't ADD an attribute

  • Cannot access exchange attribute from java

    I have tried to access pwdLastSet attribute for a particular staff inside the Active Directory 2008, works fine. However when I try to access msDS-UserPasswordExpiryTimeComputed I get null pointer exception. The value associated with this attribute is available. Infact I am getting error for all msxxxx fields. I am unable to understand why I cannot, access these attributes.
    Attribute attr=attrs.get("pwdLastSet"); ---> works fine
    //Attribute attr=attrs.get("msDS-PrincipalName"); ---> throws an exception.
    Would appreciate help to resolve my problem.

    //Attribute attr=attrs.get("msDS-PrincipalName"); ---> throws an exception.If that throws a NullPointerException it can only be because attrs is null. Or else you need to post the stack trace here.

  • How to set classpath from java class ??

    I have tried to use System.setProperty("java.class.path", "my class path string ") to set classpath dynamically. But it is not working. How to set it dynamically from java class ?? Thanks , gary

    Look into the java.net.URLClassLoader. You can't set the classpath after the fact but you can specify URL's that will checked when you try to load a class with that loader.

  • Set classpath from java code

    Hi,
    Is it possible to set new classpath from java code? Something like System.setClasspath(String);
    Many thanks
    Miso

    You aren't the first one to wonder whether that would work, so don't call yourself stupid on that account.
    Not taking 15 minutes to set up and run a test to actually see if it works... well, if you really needed the answer, that would be different.

  • Setting windows environment variables from Java program

    Is there any way to set environment variables from Java program in Windows? Any help is appreciated.
    Here is my situation:
    I need to decrypt an encrypted Oracle user password in a batch file which will be used while running a sql script with sqlplus. I was planning to have bat file which will call a Java program decrypt the password and set it as an env variable in windows which will be available while calling sqlplus.
    thanks

    Runtime.exec has a lot of overloadings. Two of them
    allows you to specify the environment variables.
    exec
    public Process exec(String[] cmdarray,
    String[] envp,
    File dir)
    throws IOExceptionExecutes the specified command and
    arguments in a separate process with the specified
    environment and working directory.
    cmdarray - array containing the command to call and
    its arguments.
    envp - array of strings, each element of which has
    environment variable settings in format name=value.
    dir - the working directory of the subprocess, or null
    if the subprocess should inherit the working directory
    of the current process.
    I had this sample program:
    public class SetVarExample {
    public static void main (String[] args) throws Exception {
         String[] cmd_env= new String[] {"password="+"ABCD","Path=C:\\Sun\\AppServer\\jdk\\bin"};
         String cmd = "cmd /c SET ";
         Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd,cmd_env);
    System.out.println( "Finish ...." );
    I tried it in a command prompt. But looks like when the program exits, it's a whole new process and so it does not retain the env variables set in the java program.
    Any suggestions? Am I doing it worng?
    thanks

  • Setting screen attributes for select-option in subscreen

    Hello SDN Community,  I have researched this extensively in forums and found much helpful information in getting the select-option working in a subscreen.  Also found information that discussed using standard AT SELECTION-SCREEN statements to process the sub-screen with.
    I encountered problems when that from the LOOP AT SCREEN within the AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT,  I set the INPUT/OUPUT attributes to zero, the field was still open for input when it displayed.  For when I do this on other fields of my screen, they are "greyed out".
    Has anyone any experience setting field attributes from within loop at screen for embedded select-option subscreen?  Would appreciate any insight you might have.
    Thank you,
    Dean Atteberry.
    P.S.- I put this thru the debugger and I can see the INPUT and OUTPUT attributes getting changed.  But when displays, it is like the change didn't happen.
    Full description of my processing below...
    I have a screen with four radio-buttons.  Under the first radio-button is my embedded subscreen with one SELECT-OPTION for AUFNR.  Under the other three radio-buttons are single fields declared regular way in main screen.
    In my PBO of main screen I have loop at screen that enables/disables INPUT and OUPTUT attributes based on which radio-button is selected.  This prevents confusion from user entering values in fields other than the one the radio-button is selected for.
    For my embedded select-option subscreen, I have an AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT statement in which I have a LOOP AT SCREEN.  Within that, based on radio-buttons, I either enable or disable the INPUT and OUTPUT attributes for the S_AUFNR-LOW and S_AUFNR-HIGH fields.

    >> I think that you are trying to change select options within main screen, whereby it should be

    >>  will be only applicable for selection screen (I guess your main screen here). Do loop at screen in
    >>  PBO module of this subscreen not in PBO of the selection screen and see if that helps.
    Hi Marcin,  thank you for your reply.  My "main screen" is not my "selection screen".  Please allow me to further clarify...
    My "main screen" has four radio buttons with a subscreen area under the first one and single fields under the others.
    My "subscreen" is auto-generated by Selection-Screen and Select-Options statements which are in my TOP module.
    I call my auto-generated select-option subscreen in my PBO with...
         call subscreen sca_ordr including sy-repid scr_0121.
    and in my PAI with...
         call subscreen sca_ordr.
    In order to do LOOP AT SCREEN for my system-generated select-option subscreen, I use the AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT event in which to put my loop.
    When I walk thru this in the debugger, I can see it setting INPUT/OUTPUT fields to zero, but when the screen displays, there are no changes to my subscreen....  Fields should be "greyed out" instead they are open for intput.
    Doing my best to accurately describe in as few words as possible.  Thank you for your ideas!
    Dean.

  • Possible to set Dynamic Config from ABAP Proxy

    Hi,
    I know how to get and set Dynamic Config from Java/XSLT mappings and adapter modules. But I want to do this from an outbound ABAP Proxy Call (in the same way I can set the serialization context for EOIO), is that possible?
    The scenario is: I have an interface; Proxy -> Xi -> ftp, with no mapping. It seems unnecessary to introduce a mapping just to set some dynamic config values for the receiving adapter which are already known at the outbound proxy call...
    rgds Johan

    Hi Bhavesh,
    In the thread you mention it is shown that you can set Dynamic Config properties during an ABAP mapping. My question was if I can set these properties already in the proxy call? Or did I miss something?
    Of-course I can introduce a dummy mapping in Java/XSLT/ABAP which copies the source message to the result message and sets the dynamic config properties, but I would rather not introduce a mapping if not neccessary...

  • Import statement code generation from Java-Platform Model in Java Studio

    Problem : When you create a Java-Platform Model type project in Java Studio 8.1 and as an example You would like to create an Attribute with java.util.Date type for a Class than how can You set this Attribute type in order to create the Code Generator the standard java package reference in Your code like : "import java.util.Date;" ? What is the right syntax in the "Type'" field of the Attribute Properties dialog ?

    You should also consider using NetBeans as an alternative to JSE8.1.
    Java Studio Enterprise 8.1 is itself built on top of NetBeans version 5.0. NetBeans is an ide developed as opensource at www.netbeans.org; it is extensible ide and so add-on modules can be developed to run on top of netbeans. And that is what JSE8.1 does; JSE 8.1 is NetBeans 5.0 plus several add-on modules (like UML etc).
    The latest stable version of NetBeans is 6.0 and provides improved versions of all relevant addons found in JSE.

  • I just downloaded and instaled firefox 4. Now, everytime I institute a command I get a po[p-up from Java script that tells me to uninstal set. I cannot go on untin I press ok and then I am good for one more command and it starts with the pop-up again.

    I'm not even sure if this is an extension or plug-in and all I can tell you is what I have already stated. I can only make one command at a time and after each one I get a pop-up from Java script that says uninstal set. I must depress ok to move on, but only for one more command and it starts over again. This also happened when I tried to instal firefox 4 a couple months ago and I deleted the program and went back to an earlier version.
