Setting set-search-data-hiding-rule-prop target-dn-regular-expressions

Hi. I'm trying to set up a data hiding rule in DPS 6.3. I want to have the data hiding rule apply to any DN that ends with o=ny,c=us. I tried setting the target-dn-regular-expressions to 'o=ny,c=us$'. I figured if DPS used regular expression matching, the $ at the end should be used as an anchor for that string. But the rule is not firing. I proved it by setting the regular expression to none and then setting the target-dns to match exactly the dn I'm returning. Anyone know what I would need to put in for the expression to match what I want? Thanks

Regular expressions must comply with the Java regular expression specificationa, available at [http://download.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/regex/Pattern.html ]
For instance, the regular expression (.*)o=ny,c=us filters out the whole o=ny,c=us tree.

No it is not. Current release accepts plain values, not regular expressions. Interesting RFE to be considered.

Search application that can handle regular expressions

I am desperately seeking for my PhD an OSX 10.6 application that can search through all my data. That application need to have *efficient search algorithms* for complex pattern searching.
For example I want to search all my documents having the word cancer inside the file.
Not only search for the filename cancer BUT search inside the documents with all the extensions (pdf, rtf, doc, etc.)
In Windows I use +Filelocator Pro+.
Is there a Mac OSX application like +Filelocator Pro+ for search?

You might try the freeware EasyFind. It allows boolean and wildcard searches. How many of the other features in your "wish list" it offers I haven't checked. If EasyFind doesn't offer sufficient power, take a look at FoxTrot Personal Search or FoxTrot Professional Search.
And of course there's always grep which can be incredibly powerful once you learn all its ins and outs.

Hi Suneel,
Normally you would want to load data for an InfoObject, so if you are not, the system just warns you. Like you also get warning when adding or removing nav attr from an InfoObject. Even if you are doing that for a reason, the system will prompt with warnings before activating the object.

What is this message: Base Line Date for rule 11 not set ?

I am doing some test.
Cenario:
I need to create a Scheduling Agreement in transaction: VA41
The material I am using to create the VA41, I have just created.
I created in MM01 the views: Basic Datas 1 and 2, Sales View 1,2 and 3 and Account View 1.
Issue:
When I am creating the VA41 and I enter the material, the system shows the messages:
1) Dates from:: Base line date for rule 11 not set
2) Dates from:: Base line date for rule 9 not set
*obs: the messages dos not block the creation of VA41. It is a information message.
Question:
What that means? What will happen if I do not fix that? What should I do in order to not have more these messages?

I am just setting up a new SharePoint 2013 environment (Windows server 2008 R2 + SQL Server 2008 R2) and I am getting this error message in powershell when I try to save my new search topology: No system manager locations set, search application might
not be ready yet. The installation script used to install and create the search service originates from this link: http://www.toddklindt.com/blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=378 and I receive the error message after running $clone.Activate().

So basically all else is going fine before saving the clone. Application pool is created, search service and it´s proxy is created (the databases are also created in SQL). The clone is after this created and then the components are added.
I have tested with both March and April CU. I use separate accouns for search service, installation and so on. I have tested giving the search application pool account local admin right but didnt make any difference.
Some posts in Internet around this matter is pointing towards there might be 4 missing patches like here: http://blog.steigis.ch/sharepoint/sps2013/search-in-starting-state/ They are all installed on my server.
Search host controller service and SharePoint Server Search are started.

I had exactly the same issue when setting up a new SharePoint 2013 environment (Windows Server 2012, SP2013 with PU March 2013 and CU April 2013, .NET 4.5). I have tried almost everything during the last weeks to configure the Search Service Applicatione,
e.g. create the service from GUI, create it from PowerShell, verify my search account had enough permissions, check for missing updates etc. etc. Same error no matter what I tried.
Using another SharePoint farm I went through a similar configuration of the Search Service Application. I used exactly the same script as I did on the first server and the setup completed without any issues. So why did the same features fail during the setup?
To find an answer I compared the two farms and the only thing I noticed that were different was the lack of .NET 3.5 on the application and WFE server in the first farm. I then enabled .NET 3.5 features and now the Search Service Application works as expected
I had no idea enabling .NET 3.5 features would solve the issue - I thought .NET 4.5 was backward compatible and SharePoint only requires .NET 4.5 according the
requirements?

How to set system date as a default value in UIX/XML page?

Example: We set default values using following statements:

In JDeveloper Help, we cannot find a way to set a Date attribute's default value to today's (system) date. Any suggestions?
Also, does anyone have a reccomendation on a good book for uix/xml?

On the initial set up for apple tv it just sits there trying to set the date and time . it is a wireless setup and the ipaddress and router address is correct . I can't get by this screen

Make sure router is up to date. Try ethernet to rule out any wifi issues. Reboot ATV and router.

Date bug in import process: 2 sets of dates from same-day shots

I took some photos the other day using my Canon 400D. Some were taken around 1:00 pm, and another series of them were taken around 4:00 pm. I then went to import them into Lightroom from a CompactFlash card, using a cardreader, by using the organize by date option with the format 2005\2005-12-17. When Lightroom's import process gathered the file data for the images, I discovered that there were two sets of dates, viz. 2007\2007-02-24 and 2007\2007-02-25. Considering that I was doing the import on 2007-02-24, the second date was quite in error.
I checked the EXIF data and the files seemed OK. The timestamps on the files on the card were also as expected.
I then manually copied the image files to a temporary folder on my PC. When I pointed Lightroom's import function to that folder, lo and behold, the files were picked up and the correct single date for the target folder was set up for me.
Has anyone else come across this problem? Any suggestions how to work around it from WITHIN Lightroom if it occurs again?

Are you by chance using Vista? That would be a "Known issue", the workaround being copying the images to the hard drive and importing from there instead of importing directly from the card/camera.

Setting new Date() in a JPQL field

I have written a system where dynamic query is created on-the-fly using a query criteria builder class. Now when a date is passed in.
     * set the value to be used as an equal to search for createDate
     * @param Date - createDate
    public void setCreateDate(Date createDate)
        setParameter(CREATE_DATE, new Date());
    }Now, the problem is the query created is something like
p.createDate = Fri Dec 21 00:00:00 PST 2007and this stuff throws an IllegalArgumetException while creating the query because of the Fri token.
My question is how else do I set a date object into JPQL without causing this exception.

I have discovered my first mistake. I was using my criteria class to build a JPQL. using a StringBuffer to concatenate the fields and their values. The problem with dates is that on appending the a toString() is generated for the date object and that String is the cause of the IllegalArgumentException when the query is created.
So, I am looking for a way get the Date object in place instead of its toString()

Sorting Collection Sets by Date

Searched around for this first and now I'm asking the experts:
I recently started using LR and have followed some workflow recommendations by Scott Kelby to set up my images in collection sets with collections within each set as follows:
Collection Set Name
- Full Shoot (collection)
- Picks (collection)
- Selects (collection)
I want each collection set to be ordered by date (e.g. date of most recent image in set or date of import into LR). The only 2 ways I've found to sort these are by Name or Kind.
Any way to sort by date?
I suppose I can rename each collection set so that it starts with the date, but that seems silly when the photos all have dates already assigned automatically.

Well what I was looking for was to order the collection sets as opposed to the collections within them. But based on your response, it looks like I do need to use a numerical prefix to do this. (Thanks for the link to your workflow recommendations, I will spend more time checking them out.)
So for example if my collections are currently sorted by name like this:
Bangkok - Thailand
- Full Shoot
- Picks
- Selects
Hoi An - Vietnam
- Full Shoot
- Picks
- Selects
I'll add a date prefix so that the set is sorted like this:
2009 1012 Hoi An - Vietnam
- Full Shoot
- Picks
- Selects
2009 1203 Bangkok - Thailand
- Full Shoot
- Picks
- Selects
This will sort the collections by date, but must check if it is possible to reverse the sort so that most recent shows first.
dj paige: Yes, I was looking to order the collection names, not the individual photos.
Collections can be sorted by clicking on the + icon in the Collections panel and choosing either Sort by Name or
Sort by Kind. The only elaboration Adobe provides for Sort by Kind is to also call it "Sort by Type".
