Setting the wordWrap on the Checkbox component

Anyone know how to get a flash quiz template checkbox to set
to multi line? I have tried:
onClipEvent (load) {
this.checkbox.labelPath.multiline = true;
this.checkbox.labelPath.wordWrap = true;
and also on the keyframe that contains the checkbox text
fields:
checkbox1.labelPath.multiline = true;
checkbox1.labelPath.wordWrap = true;
Any ideas?

Kristina,
In the HTML source for your region where you enter the text, you can include the old-fashioned html tags along with your text. Eg. This can be the HTML source.
<p>
<font size="2" face="Verdana">
This is a paragraph.
</font>
</p>
<p>
<font size="3" face="Times">
This is another paragraph.
</font>
</pand it would display the data in the font that you want/ set above.
Thanks,
Rajesh.

  • How do you set the text of a Hyperlink component in code

    I am using Visual Web pack in NB 6.0. How do you set the text of a hyperlink component in code?
    Please see screenshots at
    http://coba.usf.edu/departments/isds/faculty/agrawal/projects/java/
    I have a hyperlink in a grid panel. I am using
    hyperlink1.setText("Hello"); in prerender(),
    but the Hyperlink shows up with the text "Hyperlink", whereas I was expecting "Hello". However,
    hyperlink1.setUrl("http://www.usf.edu"); works as expected.
    I tried nesting a static text in the hyperlink as suggested in the Creator guide (ed 2, Google project). I deleted the "Hyperlink" text in the properties editor but then the page turned out blank.
    Thanks

How to set the width property for selectManyShuttle component? After that does selectManyShuttle provide horizontal scrollbar as well?

  • Set the minimal size of a Component with BorderLayout

    Hi,
    I got a little problem using BorderLayout.
    The scenario is :
    A JPanel placed BorderLayout.WEST got a size a few pixel too small for a JTable contained in this panel to paint all names of the table header.
    If i set the preferredScrollableViewportSize larger then a specific amount the table disappear(shrinks to a tiny size)
    The panel uses GridBagLayout...
    How can i set the size of this "west"-component of the border layout a little larger?
    regards
    Olek

    My understanding of help is an other then only post messages likeWell, your understanding, in my opinion is wrong.
    You must post a self documenting program ...Not everybody who uses this forum speaks english as their main language. Even if english is your main language it is not always easy to communicate the problem effectively. By posting demo code we can see exactly what you are doing.
    Or why you don't read the API... Of course that is a valid answer. You should always read the API. Why should we waste time typing the Documentation from the API when we can point you directly to the API????????
    why you don't search the forum Again, why should be waste time answering questions that have already been answered???????
    You learn by searching the forum and finding multiple solutions, then you use the solution that is appropriate. There is rarely a single solution for all cases. The more knowledge you have the better decision you can make.
    Have a little pride and learn to do some problem solving on your own without us spoonfeeding every anser to you.
    It is not possible to post a short self documenting program ...Then you truly don't understand what the problem is. And if you don't understand what the problem is how to you expect to communicate that problem verbally so that we understand the problem. You question is not about logic its about sizing of components. How hard is it to create a component and add it to a panel to demonstrate the problem. You don't even need real data. For example you can create a JTable with a single line of code, JTable table = new JTable(5, 10).
    the core of the problem depends on the components added to the JSplitPane...Then demonstrate that with a SSCCE.

  • How can set the timestamp format in query component?

    I met 2 problems when I am using timestampTZ on query component.
    The first one, in the table, I have a field type is timestampTZ. And I have a query on this field. However, When I open the page, I found the date format is not what I want, can I change the format in the query component? Like from “mm/dd/yyyy” to “dd/mm/yyyy” in the search criteria. For the query component. I used bing variable. The bing variable I set to timestampTZ type.
    Another problem is, as in the database, the time has date and time, but in the query component, it only has date, so if I added a end date field, it only show the records before the end date. I think the parameter take the time as 00:00:00. Is there any way to fix this?
    Thanks a lot.

    Thanks a lot. I tried, but still not work, I can see the date with time. But I tried to execute the query, it threw exception (with/without date value). Is that because the field in database is timestampTZ?

  • When does a JTabbedPane set the size of the component inside a tab?

    I would like to know how big a component inside a tab is directly after I've added it to a tab in a JTabbedPane.
    I thought once I've "added" a component via the JTabbedPane.add(String, Component) method, the Component would be realized with correct sizes.
    Where or when should I request the information about how big a component has become inside a tab??
    Example:
    1. "Add" a tab via the menu.
    2. Notice that the size of the panel has not changed even though we see it on the screen.

  • How to set the default query for query component.

    I have a query component on the page, and there are 2 system query in the saved search dropdown list.
    Here is my system saved search
    Saved Search:
    Search by worker
    Search by organization.

    I want to default the search panel search by organization. How do I implement this.

    Thanks for your reply. Maybe I not describe my question clearly, I want to display different search form.
    For example
    when search by work, the search form displayed as firstname, lastname, gender etc.
    when search by work, the search form dispaly as organization name , manager name etc.
    I resolve this issue by customize the queryMode object.

  • Setting up classpaths for the TextLayout Component in FlashDevelop for Flash CS4

    I'm trying to work with the new TextLayout Component in FlashDevelop.
    Maybe I'm lazy but I've gotten used to code completion. I want to import things like TextFlow and ICharacterFormat. How can I import these classes and others from the flashx.textLayout package so that code completion will work in FlashDevelop?

    For FlashDevelop do the following;
    Download the TextLayoutFramework swcs, there are 3 of them;
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs/textlayout/textlayout_framework_p1_111808.zip
    Create new project in flash develop, put these swcs in the lib folder and in the flash develop panel on the right, ctrl click on them to select them all and right click, add to library.

  • Set the UI for just one component?

    I have a JTextArea in my application and I would like to specify explicitly which UI class to use for just this one instance only. I've tried subclassing JTextArea and both calling setUI(new MyIntendedTextUI()); in the constructor and overriding getUI, but neither approaches seem to have any effect. I don't know if this matters or not, but I'm already using a custom look and feel (via Substance). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I canot reproduce your problem. Could you provide an SSCCE ?
    Here is a working example, trying to mimic your design. The text area's background color actually changes to green, as expected.
    import com.sun.java.swing.plaf.motif.MotifTextAreaUI;
    import java.awt.Color;
    import javax.swing.JComponent;
    import javax.swing.JOptionPane;
    import javax.swing.JTextArea;
    //import org.junit.Test;
    public class TestChangeJTextAreaUI {
        public TestChangeJTextAreaUI() {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            new TestChangeJTextAreaUI().testChangeJTextAreaUI();
        private static class CustomJTextArea extends JTextArea {
            public CustomJTextArea(String text) {
                super(text);
                setUI(new MotifTextAreaUI() {
                    @Override
                    public void installUI(JComponent c) {
                        super.installUI(c);
                        c.setBackground(Color.GREEN);
        //@Test
        public void testChangeJTextAreaUI() {
            JTextArea jta = new CustomJTextArea("initial text");
            JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, jta);
    }Note that I followed your design but I suspect that changing the UI from the constructor may be fragile.
    Have you made sure that the custom JTextArea is instantiated only after you have set the look and feel?

  • How to hide the Save Results Layout checkbox on the Create Saved Search pop

    I need to hide the Save Results Layout checkbox on the Create Saved Search popup. Can anyone tell me how to do it?
    This popup is used when the user is on a query (rendered by the af:query component) and they select click the "Save..." button. The have three options, Set as Default, Run Automatically, and Save Results Layout. I have an implementation that supports everything except saving the layout. So I need to hide that checkbox.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    For anybody else who needs to do this, here is how I did it.
    Add this to your css
    /* This hides the Save Results Layout checkbox on the Create Saved Search screen */
    span[id$='saveLayout'] {
    visibility: hidden;
    }

  • What is the purpose of the Initial Value checkbox in SE11?

    Hi,
    When we create database tables using SE11, there is a Initial Value checkbox for the fields that we create. How do we make use of this checkbox?
    For example, after checking the Initial Value checkbox, how do I go about entering the intial value? There isn't a input field for me to do it. Thanks.

    "Initial values" Flag  ---> Indicator that NOT NULL is forced for this field
    Select the flag if a field to be inserted in the database is to be filled with initial values. The initial value used depends on the data type of the field.
    Please note that fields in the database for which the this flag is not set can also be filled with initial values.
    When you create a table, all fields of the table can be defined as NOT NULL and filled with an initial value. The same applies when converting the table. Only when new fields are added or inserted, are these filled with initial values. An exception is key fields. These are always filled automatically with initial values.
    Restrictions and notes:
    The initial value cannot be set for fields of data types LCHR, LRAW, and RAW. If the field length is greater than 32, the initial flag cannot be set for fields of data type NUMC.
    If a new field is inserted in the table and the initial flag is set, the complete table is scanned on activation and an UPDATE is made to the new field. This can be very time-consuming.
    If the initial flag is set for an included structure, this means that the attributes from the structure are transferred. That is, exactly those fields which are marked as initial in the definition have this attribute in the table as well.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Balaji

  • How to get the value from the checkbox

    Hi All,
    Good Evening,
    i want to get the value from the check box.
    for this i wrote like this
    OAMessageCheckBoxBean cbb=(OAMessageCheckBoxBean)webBEan.findChildRecurssive("item240")
    String val=cbb.getvalue(pageContext).toString();
    val getting the value only when checkbox is checked.
    suppose check box is not checked that time i got NULL POINTER exceptionn.
    so
    i tried the following way alsoo

    pls tell me

    Hi,
    use
    try
    OAMessageCheckBoxBean cbb=(OAMessageCheckBoxBean)webBEan.findChildRecurssive("item240")
    String test = cbb.getvalue(pageContext).toString();
    catch(Exception e)
    String test = "";
    this way you can handle null pointer exception.
    Thanks,
    Gaurav

  • Is it possible to change the location of the user component directory in TS4.0

    I would like to override the default location of the user component directory to a network drive / source control file system, in order to execute my own loginlogout sequence without having to deploy any files locally. is this doable in TS 4.0? If so how?

    Hi freak,
    Unfortunately what you are trying to accomplish is not entirely possible.
    You can move your user components directory to a network drive and then add a search directory and point it to that location. And then you can set that to a higher priority than the NI and User components folders so that location gets searched first.
    However, the issue is some components need to be in a certain local location in either the NI or the User components folder and TestStand will not look in other locations for them. This includes the languages and the icons, and more importantly the FrontEnd and Station Callbacks. And the FrontEndCallbacks.seq file is the file that contains the login/logout steps and TestStand will not look in a different  search directory for them.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • SQL version could not be verified error while installing the SCOM 2012 R2 reporting component

    I have the below SCOM server roles in my SCOM 2012 R2 set up
    1) All servers with Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, MS - SCOM1, DB & DW - DB1, Reporting Server - DB2
    2) All the DB servers with SQL 2012 SP1
    3) Windows firewall is turned off on all the servers.
    4) Success fully installed all the components except SCOM reporting.
    While installing the SCOM 2012 R2 reporting component on DB2 ( Iam running this set up on the server where I instllaed the SQL DB engine and reportin services in Native mode. Configured the SQL reporting database and reporting URLs successfully in SQL reporting
    configuration manager) getting the below error in the Rporting server instance page. Kindly advise.
    I ran mofcomp.exe and there is no firewall restrictions. My account also has DB owner & sysadmin permissions.
    Also tried re installing the SQL on Reporting server.
    "The installed version of SQL Server could not be verified or is not supported. Verify that the computer and the installed version of SQL Server meet the minimum requirements for installation, and that the firewall settings are correct. See the Supported
    Configurations document for further information".

    Hi,
    As far as I know, after installing SSRS, we don't need to configure the database and reporting URLs manully. When we install the reporting service for SCOM, it will configure those automatically.
    If possible, you may re-install SSRS and then install SCOM reporting service.
