Setting USR01 SPDB and SPLD fields

Hi All,
I have to set the field SPLB (for Print Immediately) and SPLD( "release" or "delete after printing") of USR01 to "space" and i am using the following statements, before my program generates spool.
usr01-spdb = 'H'.
usr01-spld = ' '.
The field SPLD (which i assume is for "Delete After Print") is still not set to value i am setting.
Can anyone help me with this.

My requirement is to set the repective setting for the spool generated via this program alone and not for the entire set of spools generated. Hence i cant set using SU3. i have to achieve it programmatically for this spool alone and retain default after my program execution.

Set datasource location and remapping fields in code instead of designer

Dear all,
We are currently migrating a VS6 reporting project to VS2010. The old project has like 133 Crystal Reports XI release 2 reports.
All of these .rpt files need to have their datasource location changed and fields remapped because of a change in naming convention.
The datasource location is currently set to a stored procedure in an Oracle database and this will remain; only the name of the
stored procedure and the name of the fields returned are changed (due to new naming conventions).
Is there a way, and I really hope so, to programmatically change the datasource location and remap the fields (mind that these fields are also used in formulas, grouping, total, ...).
Doing this manually in the designer for like 133 times would be very time consuming.
After some research I stumbled upon the CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.DatabaseController but I'm looking for some example usage, if this is the correct way.
The end result should be that all these 133 .rpt files have their datasource location changed and fields remapped.
Any assistance or pointers in the right direction would be kindly appreciated.

Not aware of how you can do this in code.
However, there are third party products which you can use to mass update reports with datasource and table mapping.
RptInspector is a product I know of that can do what you want.

Path and Name field in SPD 2010 Workflow for creating Doc Sets

Hi Guys,
Here's hoping you can help out and give a few pointers. I'm currently trying to implement what I thought was quite a simple workflow involving the creation of a Content Type (similar to Doc Set but with additional field) within an alternative library when
a new item is added to the current library.
Create Item in CaseFileLibrary (Output to Variable: CaseFile)
When running the workflow, I keep getting the following error:
"The workflow could not create the list item because the file name is either missing or invalid. "
It seems to be related to the 'File and Path' field within the 'Create New List Item' field mappings. For this I have tried the CurrentItem:Title as some other forums suggest and have also tried entering the URL path e.g. /subsite_name/library_name/CurrentItem:Title.
(as the name of the CaseFile (Doc Set) is going to be the same as the current item name)
If anyone has any suggestions, I would be truely greatful.

This error indicates there is an error in the workflow logic. Ensure that the file name entered in the Path and Name field is a valid file name. Common reasons for a file name to be invalid include a missing or incorrect file extension or a file/path string
that is too long and exceeds the allowable number of characters.

For the URL that you used in the ‘Create New List Item’, whether the CurrentItem:Title is a lookup, not typed by yourself. If not, please type /subsite_name/library_name/, then lookup CurrentItem:Title, like the below, then save and publish the workflow,
compare the result.
In addition, please use another name for the name, compare the result.

In accout assignment if we give 'A' then we need to create asset by clicking the Asset tab,there you have the fields plant and location.

create new function in output with the sample name :MODULE ZTEST_001 OUTPUT.
in this module write:
if MEPOITEM_PROP-WERKS is INITIAL and MEPOITEM_PROP-LGORT is INITIAL.
MEPOITEM_PROP-WERKS = '1000'.
MEPOITEM_PROP-LGORT = '0032'.
endif.
this is the solution.

Reflection and the field.set method

OK, I've made 2 classes, a ClearParent and ClearChild (which extends ClearParent). I'd like to have a "clear" method on the parent which dynamically sets all the fields to null. I'd like to be able to have any child that inherits from the parent be able to call clear and dynamically have all it's fields set to null.
Part of the restriction that I'm facing is that the fields are Objects (Integer) but the getter and setter methods take and return types (int). So I can't just loop through the Methods and call the setters with null.
I'd like to be able to loop through the fields and call set for all the fields with the parent class.
I'm inserting the code that I have for the parent and child classes at the end. Basically, the problem that I'm seeing is that if I do a
this.getClass().getName()
from the parent (when clear is called from the child) it shows me the child name ("ClearChild"). But when I try to do the
field.set(this, null)
it tells me this:
Class ClearParent can not access a member of class
ClearChild with modifiers "private"
How come when I get the name it tells me that it's the child but when I pass "this" to the set method, it says that it's the parent?
Any one know what's going on here? Is there anyway that I can have the parent set all the fields to null?

It is an instance of ClearChild that is being used so
that class name is ClearChild. However, the method
exists in the parent class and thus cannot act upon a
private field of another class (even if it happens to
be a subclass).Ahh...makes sense.
Why don't you just override clear in the child?We were trying to avoid this because we run into problems in the past of people adding fields to the class, but not adding to the clear, and things not being cleared properly.
I talked it over with the guys here and they have no problem making the fields protected instead of private. If it's protected, then the parent has access to it and my sample code works.

I am having some problems formulating a query to find the set of fields that are covered by one set of views and not another.
I won't paste the abomination I'm currently butting heads with but basically I'm using INFORMATION_SCHEMA.VIEW_COLUMN_USAGE
I need underlying field name (not alias), view that includes it and table that it comes from.

DSO - What key fields and data fields in dso

Hi experts,
I need to create a dso in between the cube and 2 data sources(2lis_11_vaitm, 2lis_12_vcscl) to stage the data. My question is: what key fields and data fields to choose for the dso? is there a standard dso to copy? please explain in detail the model to set up, whether to connect both the ds's to dso and then to cube or one ds to dso and the other to the cube. more details will help.

Cannot add hub-managed content type with external list lookup columns to a list -- Error:Id field is not set on the external data field

This is a variation on the issue mentioned in this
post
We are using SP 2010 Content Hub to manage our content types. On the content hub we've created a couple of exteranl lists, and then created some site columns as lookups against these lists. We then added the columns to one of our content types
and set it to publish.
After the publishing job executed, I tried adding the content type (which now appears on the subscriber sites) to one of the document libraries on one of the subscriber sites. When I did that it threw the following error:

The issue is not External Content type or external list but the look up column.
It's not possible to publish a look up column via the Content Type Hub.
If you need to do this then an alternate way is to use a Managed Metadata column instead, otherwise you will have to implement this via a feature.

Infoset Join condition on Key feilds and data fields

I have a requirement to biuld the Info set with join conditon on two DSO's the info objects which i am using in the JOin condition are defined as data fieds in one DSO and defined as key fields in another DSO, is it possible to define join condition on key fields and data fields.
The two info objects are
                       0AC_DOC_NO
                       0ITEM_NUM
These two info objects are defined as data fields in DSO :   0LIV_DS1   Invocie verificaion
                                                        key fields in DSO:    0FIAP_0o3 FI AP Line Item
Please suggest me is it possible to define join the condtion on the data fields and key feilds.

yes you can create join, you will get any issue in reporting level.
example: Say i want to create Info Set on 0MATERIAL and Sales DSO.
In 0MATERIAL Info Object it is key filed, but in my DSO 0MATERIAL is data field.Still we can create
Creation of join is dependent on fields common in your source objects.

Key Fields and Data Fields in ODS

Hi Pradeep,
An ODS key fields forms a unique combination of chars according to which data in the ODS will be summed up. Data fields are additional fields, chars or key figures.
For example, you have the following key fields:
Doc No, Doc line item (item no in the doc) and you load the following data:
Doc# Item# Amount CALDAY
1234 1        100       26.09.2005
1234 1        150       27.09.2005
1234   2        300      27.09.2005
1235   1        400      27.09.2005
The first two rows with the same key fields (1234-1) will be aggregated and into ODS will go amount of 250.
What I said is true if for Amount key figure the Add option is set.
But if you set an Overwrite option, then the second record will overwrite the first one and only amount of 150 will go to ODS!
But if CALDAY is also a key field, then into ODS will go all records without any aggregation, because key fields combination is different for all records.
So, ODS key fields choice and KFs settings are very important for data aggregation in the ODS.

How can I refer to a value of the textfield1 into the textfield2 and set readonly textfield2, and join the value of various textfields in just one textfield multiline ?

I am new in acroforms.
I have a form with 5 pages, in the first page the user fill personal information, the fields are (names, addres, birtdate, ocupation,etc ) all are texboxes, I need to get the same value of every textboxes of the first page into the 2d and 3, 4 and 5 pages, I have created another textboxes in the 2, 3 .. pages with the same names in order to duplicate the value of each one, but if I make some of them readonly, every textboxes in every page are readonly...
For that reaseon, I tried changin the name of the texboxes of the 2, 3, 4 and 5 pages to names1, names2, names3, names4, and so on for the other fields, I have written some scripts, but no lucky, because I used this line in every new textbox, as the following (for the textbox names1)

Without results, the textboxes apears in blank
And also, in the last page I need to join some texboxes values in only one multiline textbox

For the information in the second text box to be the same as the first text box (i.e. - on later pages), simply give the fields the same name. The second on could be set to readonly and you could even remove the borders and such so it looked like it was just part of the page. This last trick would get around the need to combine the fields for the display as you mention. Combining the fields would have to be done with JavaScript.

How to Insert more than one record at a time- with fixed set of values in one field

Can someone guide as to how to insert multiple records at a time using ASP VBScript in Dreamweaver CS4 or ADDT.
If someone can guide then the exact problem is given below.
I have a MS access database with one table. The table has three fields. The first field is an autonumber field for ID number.
The second field contains string values- One out of 7 predefined values. One set of records consists of 7 records containing all the seven types of predefined values in fields no 1.
The third field is a numeric field and can contain integers.
I want that the user can enter data for the table using an ASP form in such a way that he enters one set of records at a time in one single screen. This way he will not have to remember that he has /has not entered all the seven set of values for the field no 1.
I am not creating fields with the 7 types of field1value as their names as it will increase the number of fields drastically.
Please help for dreamweaver ASP VBScript.

I have successfully inserted seven records in one form submit operation by looping through the command object execute method.
However, the data that is being inserted by the command object is repetition of the first record and the command object is not taking any data from the text boxes for the second record onwards. In this I had used the isert record behavious generated by DW CS4 and modified it to suit my requirement. However, the data inserted in the first row is getting repeated in all the seven rows.
Please help.
Also advise if there are any free dreamweaver server side validation extensions available.

Setting default value for form field assoc with a table column

On a "Create Record" situation I was trying to set the default values of some form fields using a page level "Process". These form fields have Source Type = Database Column. It wasn't working, I could only set non-db assoc form field values no matter when the "Process" was set to exec. From some other posts it seems that this is by design, ie. not being able to programatically set the initial values of form fields that are sourced to db columns. I was hoping to have just one "Process" that would exec to set these initial values in one place rather than scattered about for each field that needed a default value. These particular default values come from ref tables and may be different for each user.
So, it looks like I have to use a "Default Value" plsql chunk for each field on the form itself or else set their value on the calling form's Redirect in the "Set these Items" area.
Is this correct?

You could define a database function which accepts the name of the item and the user ID of the user running the application. Based on the item name and the user ID have the function return the appropriate initial value. Invoke this function in a "Default Value" PL/SQL block.
Does that help in centralizing your initial values? You could have one function per page or one function per application. I would do one function per application.

Hi,
Once a UDF is created and a value is entered in it, the same cannot be retrieved in any of the layouts and reports unless a Key is generated for that UDF. By assigning a Key to that UDF, the same UDF can be used in Crystal Reports or any other Reporting tool to extract its values from SAP. These reporting tools searches the Uniqueness of the UDF Values with this Keys only.
For eg.: When you develop a report and select a table from which you need the fields to be shown in the layout. In that, the only fields whose keys are generated are only available to use in the report.
