Thanks a lot for your cooperation and Best Regards.

Good day,
Thank you for your answer. I've checked the points where the installation of “OncePerSiteUtils.pm” file fails. It seems that it isn't able to pass in line 406, called from line 366. I tried to copy the parameters from “$beectl add_enterpris name “xxxxx”  reentering –activate_configuration true –entity_format id “ manually, but it always gives the same mistake “BEES-06000”, both for the opnmctl and
beectl status from all “running” services (with the exception of ias-component “ASG” , wich is "down").
I tried to install beekeeper even if the installation of beehive wasn't complete, and there were no problems: the whole setup occurred correctly (however, it is not possible to log in on http://server:7778 by using beeadmin with the chosen password).
Server configurations:
Server database Centos5 x86_64 + oracle enterprise server 11G 64Bit
Server application (beehive) Centos5 x86_64
I understand that centos is not supported, but I hope this is not the problem, since this is an evakuation test to purchase Enterprise Oracle Linux and Beehive licenses later on.
If you need any further log or local server settings, please ask me.

    could you

    Gday,
Framework conf errors are generally due to incorrect patch level on the underlying database. I suppose you're installing against a 11.2.0.1 database?, there are about 6 patches to apply, did you have any problems?
Did you tune your database with all pre reqs listed in doc: java_pool_size etc.
    Ensure you have a large memory target/sga: > 2,2Gb

    Hi,
I would not to give the impression to make a standart answer but 10.2.0.4 is not yet certified to be used with Beehive. - Only 10.2.0.3 - Even is alot of patch we have to install on top of the 10.2.0.3 are included on 10.2.0.4 all are not there.
As well when you specified your password
    - for the db you need at least one number
    - for Beehive Beedadmin account you need at least on uppercase character and one number
    Hope that help,

    Hello,
Do you have applied all the recommended patches on top of your 11.1.0.6?
Please check the value of the parameter processes and be sure it is enough high (>500)
For CDC issue, please check the following metalink note as well, and apply the recommendations - Note 737948.1
As well, have a look on your limits.conf file to be sure it maches with the kernel recommendations.
Are you installing Beehive and the database on the same machine?
    Thanks

  • Beehive Installation Failed - BeehiveServer20100

I am trying to install Oracle Beehive mail server on a 32-bit RHEL 5 box with 4GB RAM and 200GB HDD. The database is installed in a separate windos XP box with 3GB RAM. There is no firewall between the two, and the two machines can pretty much talk with each other.

It turned out that there was some issue with the JDK bundled with the OB, when i looked at the trace in detail, the JVM was failing with a heap dump. I analyzed the dump to a certain extent and figured out that there was library reference mismatch.
I replaced the contents of Orcle Beehives JDK with the one that i had earlier installed in my linux box. This solved the issue in minutes..

  • Deploying LightSwitch applications to IIS using the Oracle Entity Framework

I have had no sucess running Lightswitch applications on IIS using the Oracle Beta entity framework. Applications work fine from visual studio but after deployment fail when I trying to access an Oracle data entity.
I have tried deploying to a 2008 V2 server 64Bit running IIS7.5 and also to a 32 bit windows 7 machine running IIS7. Both machines had the entity framework installed and I could connect to Oracle with SQL developer just fine. Briefly in the case of the 64 bit machine I get a bad image exception indicating a 64/32 bit conflict. (App pool switched to allow 32bit). The problem with the 32Bit machine is that the session either hangs or dies with an [Arg_TargetInvocationException]
In all tests apps could connect to SQL server fine but as soon as I use an Oracle connection they fail. It would very helpfull if someone could confirm that they have managed to use the Entity framework Beta with Lightswitch and IIS.
    Thanks in advance

Both hosts working now. Initially I created a service account for the aspnet service with extended rights and assigned this to the application pool. This subsequentluy turned out not to be required - ApplicationPoolIdentity works fine. What worked was as follows:
    1. On a 64 Bit host you need to set the application pool to Enable 32 Bit Applications (Right click the relevant app pool in IIS and select advanced)
    2. Switch off windows authentication for the application (leaving just anonoymous authentication) This was required on both hosts
    3. On the 32 Bit host copy tnsnames to the oracle client admin folder - the framework seems to ignore theTNS_ADMIN environment variable. Probably more to this but its working for now.

    Hi,
    you installed the wrong
    oracleasm-2.6.9-89.0.0.0.1.EL-2.0.5-1.el4
    Your kernel is:
    2.6.9-89.0.0.0.1.ELSMP
    so you need
    oracleasm-2.6.9-89.0.0.0.1.ELSMP-2.0.5-1.el4
You should find that on the CD on ULN or setup your server for public-yum.

  • Database Error: DBD::Oracle::db do failed: ORA-04030: out of process memory

    Hi
I have a stored procedure that uses the XMLQuery function (SELECT XMLQuery( '......' RETURNING CONTENT) FROM dual; ) to extract data from 3 different tables and store the xml file in XML DB. This store procedure was running fine for a long time until 2 weeks ago where I started seeing the following error:
Database Error: DBD::Oracle::db do failed: ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 92 bytes (koh dur heap d,qmxtkWriteXobToOpn:heap)
Currently I have 16,000 records. I am not sure what is going on, the size of the previous successful output xml file is about 2M. I also noticed when the stored procedure runs with 3G of system memory available, it basically used up all the memory and cpu time. The store proc consistently dies after 3.5 hour and spits out the ORA-04030 out of process memory error.
Does anyone have any suggestion what to look for or what parameters I need to set? Thanks

Unless your database is strictly a DSS-type of database, your AWR report exposes loads of issues with it. And I think none of the time during the AWR window was spent on database. Look at the DB time (with all those multi cores) compared with the elapsed time of the AWR.
As you are on 11g, why not make use of MEMORY_TARGET (a single parameter to manage both SGA and PGA)? If you are already on it, ignore this as I can't see it anywhere. If not, get rid of SGA_TARGET and PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET and replace it with a single MEMORY_TARGET parameter. However you may have a minimum threshold set for different SGA pools so that they won't shrink beyond that point.
Having said that, setting MEMORY_TARGET is not a guarantee to avoid ORA-4030. Just a single bad PL/SQL code could go and exploit the untunable part of your process memory and even go and blow up the physical memory. If you are using FORALL and BULK load, see if you can cut it down into few chunks rather than running as a single process.
    What does your V$PGASTAT say?

If so, yes. Just grab the UUID from the existing Manager install in /u01/app/oracle/ovm-manager-3/.config and pass it using the -u parameter to runInstaller.sh when you re-install it.

  • Oracle WebCenter Framework Tutorial  bug in af:tree / security ?

    Hi
I'm following Oracle® WebCenter Framework Tutorial and come without big problems through Providing Security section however at the end of the chapter it is recommended to apply ccecurity on page elements to display files/ folders using af:tree component. After applying security so as suggested I'm able to see the files/ folders initailly, but when I collapse the folder to see the contents , I see only the arrows without any names (blank). After removing web-security it works correctly.
The authorization settings are as follow:
    getItems2Iter:
    Role: / Action
    users / Read,Update,Create,Delete
    getItems2:
    Role / Action
    users / Invoke
    getItems3:
For all attributes: MyTutorialContent3.getItems2 (eg. name,URI, etc) 5 in total
    Role / Action
    users / Read, Update
Conform the manual there is also Page security on highest level of Page definied.
    Thx.

    hello !
your steps look correct. also, if you initially see all the content, your steps are working. i just tried it and could reproduce this behavior. i will try to find out why this is happening.
it is quite interesting as we have not seen this behavior in pre-production builds.
    thanks,
    ph.

  • How to activate POP server in Oracle Beehive?

    Hello
I'm currently using Oracle Beehive as imap server. I want to create pop accounts for some of my users so I'm trying to activate a pop server in Oracle Beehive, but I couldn't find nor in beekeeper neither in the Beehive documentation how to do it.
What shall I do to be able to use pop?

    Hi Miguel,
You could not find it because it is not provided :o(, R.I.P POP3, long live IMAP.
More seriously, why are they using POP3?
    - To have a copy of emails while on the move? Thunderbird will allow yu to keep a local copy of any email folder while in IMAP
    - Keep server disk space <A class=bodylinkwhite href="http://www.software-to-convert.com/3gpp-conversion-software/3gpp-to-avc-software.html"><FONT face=tahoma,verdana,sans-serif color=#000 size=1>download</FONT></A>, by forcing everyone to 'pop' their messages and delete from server?
One of our surrent clients is all pop users, and is quite aware that they are going to have to do a bit of education to brief their users, and buy a few disks. Regarding the latter, creating an array of a couple of Tb is not that expensive these days, or use eSCSI unless you go for the all-singing-dancing replicated SAN array on the end of optic fibre links...

DavidIt is just the solution for my problem, Thanks for your sharing!
