SetVisible() function for JDialog is not working on Macintosh machine

Hi All,
I have coded 2 dialog boxes and i m making only one dialog box visible at a time and using threading.
But using setVisible() function works fine when I am running that code on windows platform; while when I run on macintosh machine this is not working.It seems as i setvisible() is not executing at all on macintosh machine.
I am using jdk1.5 on both windows as well as on macintosh.
Tell me if there is some other method to make dialog boxes/frames visible/invisible.

Since you mentioned that you're using threading, I have to ask: have you ensured that setVisible is called on the EDT, possibly by wrapping it in a SwingUtilities.invokeLater ?

since yesterday the yellow round icon (which allows you to minimize the window) on Google Chrome it turned grey and it's not working anymore. Also all the other ways to minimize windows are not working.

ICal: 'Open in Address Book' Function for 'Attendees' does not Work

iCal lets you drag a Contact from Address Book to the 'Attendees' field of an iCal Event. (You can also put the information into the field by typing the first few letters of the person's name, and Address Book will automatically populate the field with contacts containing those letters.) When you click on a contact in 'Attendees' and select 'Open in Address Book', it is supposed to open the contact's information in Address Book (in case you needed their phone number, forgot their wife's name, etc.). In the previous version of iCal, this ALMOST worked; it would find someone in Address Book, but it would be the first person in your Address Book list with that first name; not always the person you wanted.
The problem now is that when you click on a contact in 'Attendees' and select 'Open in Address Book', it simply opens the Address Book application and stops there; it does not go to the contact's data in Address Book. I sent Apple feedback on this problem 3 years ago, and again a few months ago, but it still does not work correctly. Does this work correctly for anyone?

Mine actually performs the sync, but after a few rounds of syncing, some contacts get deleted, some get their photos removed, some get duplicated, and some get removed from groups. The sync basically puts my address book through a blender. I'm syncing both with MobileMe and Google. Well, that is I tried to. I've decided not to sync with Google since that's what seems to initiate the mess.

Peak detection function for sawtooth waveform not working properly

I am using peakdetector function for finding peaks in a sawtooth wave. The peaks it detects is 2 units higher then the actual peak. But when i do the same thing for sine wave it detects the peaks properly.
Can anyone please tell me why am I having this problem and how to resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

With that line i got a sawtooth wave having 10 cycles. It dtects all the 10 peaks but at an amplitude 2 units higher the the actual peak. I have attached a picture of what I got...

File-renaming functionality for book does not work as expected

Adobe Framemaker 8.0
I am on Windows XP. Dell computer. Xerox printer.
I follow the basic instructions for renaming a file in a FM book (To change the name of a document in a book:
1. In the book window, select the file you want to rename, and then choose Edit > Rename File.
2. Type the new name of the file and press Return or Enter. When the alert message appears, click OK to update other files in the book.) but I do not get past step 1. Instead an error message comes up that says "The text cannot be changed. To change the name of this file, please display filenames."
What is meant here by "filenames" and how/where would one display such?

However, the Book Error Log barked at me that it couldn't open BadFileName (a reference not to the file I renamed but another file which I not so elegantly dubbed "Conten ts" (with an unintended space between "n" and "t"--maybe this spacing is the reason behind its being dubbed bad?) since it could not be found. Should I disregard the error message or play along and rename "Conten ts" to "Contents". If that's all I need to do to get rid of the error message then of course, I'll do it. Repost Function using Variable is not working

Hello experts! I am on BW-BPS 3.5. I have set up a repost function using variables to change a characteristic value for Business Unit.
1. I created 2 variables as Bus.Unit From and Bus.Unit To in the Planning Area. I am not using the variables in my planning level.
2. I entered the variables in the parameter group New Values area for the From and To Values.
3. My goal is when the user executes the Repost Function for a Variable Prompt should appear and have the user select the From Business Unit and To Business Unit.
The Variables are set up as USERVALUE User-Defined Values, Restriction of Values required by user and I have tried with/without option of Input Allowed by User.
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong, I expected a variable prompt when executing the Repost Function but it does not work.

Ravi, Thank you for your reply however I contiue to have errors or the execution does not repost (change any value) as noted below.
1. I have 2 Variables in Planning area var1 (from) var2 (to) for the same charateristic which is Business Unit
2. Business Unit is in the level, on the selection tab to add the variable I can only add 1 variable, So I added var1 (from) to the level.
3. Parameter group for old and new values - I have Var1 (from), var2 (to)
4. Report Function - are you referring to Reporting variables in BPS? I have set this up as suggested in the "How to Use Reporting Variable in BW-BPS" document.
5. Enter plan data: I receive prompt for VAR1, mandatory. At this point there is no value in Var2.
6. Execute Repost function - I receive an error to "Restrict Var2"
7. If I set variable values and add a value for Var2 I receive an error "The generated data is not contained in the selection condition".
Next I removed VAR1 from my planning level and turned on the option 'Selection in package' for Business Unit. This seems to work well.
What do you recommend?

when I click on a package body - I get "loading ..." below it but it never puts the
procedure names in and the "loading ..."message stays in the tree view - however you do get to see the packages in the source window.

Noticed that the SQL tab when you select an object works fine - displays the
DDL for the object
Do you think you'll have functionality so you can select many objects (shift left click) and
then create a DDL script for them? It looks like you can do this for all objects in a schema but
the ability to select a subset of objects in a schema would be very useful for our DBA's.
Couldn't see any good reason for keeping using SQLNavigator

Did anything change before this started happening?
Power the system on and press F10 about once a second to get into BIOS. Once you are in BIOS, go to the configuration tab (typically next to last tab) and set Action Keys to enabled. Save the changes, exit, and the system should reboot automatically. Test the brightness keys wihtout pressing the Fn key. I suspect they will not work in this state, but I want to rule out the possibilities while awaiting the product number.

The Help Tab (OSX ML) where you search for something does not work

If I click "Help" and then search "expand" it will show me where expand is. But in CS6 when I clicked it the command would go through and pull up the page to expand pixels. Instead, I have to go find it. It works in every other Adobe app I use except Photoshop CC.

Thanks a lot for your help (and sorry for not having answered quicker, but my boss gave me a more urgent task last week...).
Anyway, I did what you suggested (re-importing into a brand new project), and then the search for synonyms really worked! But, being a sceptical person, I did the same with another project, and with that one, it did not work. So, what I did next was compare all the settings of these two projects, and I found a difference.
RH8 now contains a function that's called 'Teilzeichenfolgensuche' (I don't know the English expression, but have a look at the attached picture: this is a screen shot from the second page when I generate WebHelp). After having done several tests, I came to the following conclusions:
Search for synonyms does not work in HTML-Help, but it does work in WebHelp (and maybe others, but they are not relevant for me, so I did not test them);
Search for synonyms does only work, when the function 'Teilzeichenfolgensuche' is NOT activated.
Could maybe somebody test this, too, and post here whether my conclusions are really correct?
Btw: This fact is not mentioned in the RH-Manual; actually, this function 'Teilzeichenfolgensuche' is not even mentioned there (at least not in the German edition)!!!
Can hardly wait to see your feedback; thanks again for everybody's support!

F4 help for 0MAT_SALES is not working in BI 7

The F4 help for 0MAT_SALES is not working when distibution channel is selected as (!=02) in Bex Analyzer. But for all other values for distibution channel i am getting values in F4 help.
Since 02 is excluded it is supposed to give values for all other combination. but it not so.
Could anyone of you please help me on this?
