SG500X-48 Stack Link Down Warning Messages

I just deployed two stacked SG500X switches.  I noticed these messages in the log (see below).  Despite these messages everything appears to be functioning.  Any idea what they mean?

So, it seems that when the second stacking cable was added it didn't change from chain mode to ring mode.  I'm not sure if that was a side effect of the problem or the cause.  Maybe there's something wrong with that stack cable or maybe not.  I ended up moving it to a different set of switches and used a different cable on this set and both sets of switches are working fine now without the warning messages.

  • Get rid of shut down warning/message?

    When I go to shut down I get a message saying it'll shut down in one minute. Any way to get rid of this?
    Thanks

    Hold down the OPTION key while selecting shutdown.

  • Reader security warning message on pdf page linking

    Hi All
    I am building, for the 5th year running, an archive of a publications years magazines in pdf format. The pages are linked so that when for example an issue magazine cover is clicked in an index page I have created, it takes the viewer to the appropriate magazine pdf, all of which are stored as seperate files.
    This has worked fine up until the introduction of Adobe Reader XI. Now a security warning message popup is generated every time a link to another page is clicked.
    "This document is trying to access - page.pdf - if you trust this document then choose Allow if not choose Block"
    We can't have this so:
    Option One:  Combine all the pdfs into one file, thus avoiding the problem but making a 400Meg file which may be a little unwealdy to edit
    Option Two: Certify all the pages with a third party validated digital signature.
    Question does any know if the Option Two will solve the problem?
    I have aqured a test certificate from GlobalSign but it is maked as a test certificate and not to be trusted (not sure what the point of it is then!) and this does not work.
    We don't want to pay $400 only to find that this does not solve the problem.
    Anybody?
    Thanks
    Keith

    In Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro I use the MArquee select Link Tool. It looks like a chain on the Advanced Editing toolbar.
    Then the pages are linked using Open a file , or Go to a page view.
    I am beging to think that this ia a bug. Because in edit / prefferenecs / security advanced / Add folder path. When you do this for a particular folder it makes no difference, you still get the Warning message.

  • Warning messages didn't show up

    Hello,
    I am trying to implement modification, that posting in transaction VL02N will display warning message when budget is exceeded. Solution is attached to Note 985734 and described in Note 447102:
    "However, if you use transactions MIGO, MB1A, VL01, VL01N, VL02 or VL02N to carry out postings, the CO checks run.
    However, the posting is only then interrupted if the system issues error messages. In this case, all warning and error messages, in particular those of the availability control, are logged.
    If the system does not issue any error message during the posting, but issues an availability control warning message, which is linked with an e-mail to the person responsible (this conforms to action 2 in the definition of the tolerance limit of the availability control), the posting is not interrupted as described above and the system does not issue an availability control warning message. However, an e-mail is sent to the person responsible."
    I slightly modified the modification to include transaction VL02N and my problem is that after statement MESSAGE is executed, the message don't come up and the program flow continues and I don't understand why. Here's a link to youtube with my debugger: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7aB0pzjLgs
    Could someone explain me why the warning message didn't show up, please?
    Thanks,
    Pavel Kraxner
    P.S. In the end of the video is a comment in notepad that error messages are working OK, which is correct, but they are executed at different place (AC_DOCUMENT_CREATE returns sy-subrc = 1 in contrary to Warning messages) .. on that particular place any message didn't show up and I don't know why..

    there is probably a place where there is a CALL FUNCTION ... EXCEPTIONS error_message = ...
    If any message is sent inside the function module (or in one of its called procedures, at any level), then these messages are ignored. That's explained in [sap library|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/9f/dbaa0635c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm].
    To check that, look at all the function modules which are displayed in the abap stack (in the debugger), and check how they are called.

  • Fibre Link Down

    We have been using an Apple RAID with 8 disk (4 in each controller side) for almost 6 months, each controller in the raid is conected to a Qlogic 5600 and from there to 3 IBM servers using slicing and LUN mapping.
    Suddenly since two weeks ago we have been receiving this logs AT IRREGULAR intervals:
    Upper Controller 04/01/08 08:51:09 PM RAID Controller 1 Fibre Link Up
    Warning Upper Controller 04/01/08 08:51:08 PM RAID Controller 1 Fibre LIP
    Warning Upper Controller 04/01/08 08:48:48 PM RAID Controller 1 Fibre Link Down
    And the windows server report that the SCSI disk have been disconnected, when we stop all the servers and reboot the raidfabricsservers works for 2 to 5 days and again the same messages.
    Any idea of what is happenning and how to handle this ?
    Humberto

    + the ports on the fibre switch should be configured right for storage/hosts:
    RSCN suppression on / device scan off for hosts
    and vice versa for storage
    + the logs from the FC are hidden, you can access them following the next procedure. (As explained in the [qlogic event manual|http://www.servants.co.jp/qlogic/pdf/2-259060-00_A-QLogicFCSwitchEventMassageGuideFW40.pdf]
    Archiving and Downloading the Event Log
    You can use the command line interface to create a file on the switch that contains
    the most recent 200 entries plus the previous 1000 entries. This file can then be
    downloaded to the workstation using FTP. To create and download a log file, do
    the following:
    1. Log into the switch through Telnet and create an archive of the event log.
    The Set Log Archive command creates a file on the switch named logfile.
    QLogic #> admin start
    QLogic (admin) #> set log archive
    2. Open an FTP session on the switch and login with the account name images
    and password images. Transfer the file logfile in binary mode with the Get
    command.
    ftp ip_address
    user:images
    password: images
    ftp>bin
    ftp>get logfile
    xxxxx bytes sent in xx secs.
    ftp>quit

  • Launch File Warning Message

    I created a simple hyerlink document in word - converted it to pdf - so far so good.  I click on the links and a "Launch File" warning message appears similar to the one below.  I click on the "do not show this message again" hoping that when I open the file again and click the link it won't appear again.  Wrong! it keeps coming back.  Anyway to suppress this message for good?
    HC

    Well, "don't exit Acrobat" works, but these documents are going to be run on computers accessed by many people and folks will sometimes exit Acrobat or shut down the computers. Execs don't take kindly to alerts popping up in the middle of their presentation. I have control of both the Acrobat documents and the playback computers. One thing I can do is set the preferences in Reader or even install Acrobat instead and set those preferences - but I haven't found anything to make the alert go away for good.

    I've had this problem with this computer as soon as I remember starting to use it.
    You should have taken it back to apple immediately.
    You need to try a clean install of the OS.. yosemite has known bugs especially with the wireless and if you upgrade installed the OS it can just get worse.
    You should do a clone of the hard disk and a Time Machine backup etc.. to make sure you don't lose files.. but a clean install will at least show if it is driver issue or actual faulty hardware. Is the laptop still in warranty / Applecare.. if so return it to apple for checking.

  • I am getting a warning message when i am trying to create a host-named sitecollection.

    Hi guys,
          I am trying to create a host-named site collection. I have created the root site collection. After that i have tried to create customer root site. I have doing this process with the guidance of this link.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc424952.aspx#section2a
    When i tried to create a customer root site. I am getting a warning message
    " WARNING: The port specified for the new host header site does not match any known bindings in the specified Web
    Application.  The new site will not be accessible if the Web Application is not extended to an IIS Web Site serving
    this port."
    I couldn't when this warning message comes. I tried to bind the server with webapplication which is created for host-named site collection. No use.
    Can anyone help me to solve. And i wanna know why this error message comes!!!
    Thanks in advance
    Rajendran.

    First, you shouldn't create a host named site collection on a Web app that has host header named.  Doing that implements host names at two different levels and will not work reliably.  Second I'm not sure what you mean when you say you didn't
    use the FQDN but used just the domain name.  A Full url will always be either an FQDN or a shorter Netbios name.  If you use a Netbios name it simply assumes the local AD domain of the workstation to create an FQDN as the url  There is no way
    to use just the domain name.  For example, Contoso.com is the domain name.  Server.contoso.com or WEbsite.contoso.com are FQDNs.  YOu can also use a shorter version that is just server or website, but when those resolve in TCP/IP they would
    still resolve using server.contoso.com or website.contoso.com if the workstation where your browser is was in the contoso.com domain.  What is the URL for your root site and your host named site?

    " Value if variable ZCCTRAT1 is automatically converted
    I did go to TC RSRT as of Dinesh,Vijay advice ,Just want to know that what message i need to Click .because i could nt find the relevant message
    Can u help me how to remove this ?

    Hi Manohar,
    Edit to add: Here I assume you have a Web Application Designer (WAD) report.
    You can suppress system and warning messages in WAD. Try this and see if it helps.
    - Go to your WAD report
    - In the top part of the properties window there is a drop down box. Open this box and select the top level entry there. This should be the name of your report.
    - Click Web Item
    - Check the following two checkboxes: "Do not Display System Messages" and "Do not Display Warnings".
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Petter

    Hi,
    I am getting a warning message on screen, saying that myiPad hasn't been backed up to iCloud for two weeks, and advising under what circumstances the message appears. My problem is, is that I have backed it up, but am unable to remove the message, and whilst the message is there, the iPad is frozen, and I cannot do anything.
    Has any other user had such a problem, and if so, how did they rectify it.
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Try this.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up

  • Warning message in Adobe form

    Hi ,
    My form is accessed through portal.
    I want a warning message to be displayed when there is no data in the dropdown.
    The message can be given
    1. At the start when the form opens up  Or
    2. When the user clicks on the dropdown.
    Please help me with this.
    Points will be rewarded for useful answers.
    Thanks.

    Thomas,
    In the initialize event of your drop-down put following code.Change language to javascript.
            var DataBinding = this.bind.ref;
         // the data binding may contain "$data.<root data name>" instead of $record
         DataBinding = DataBinding.replace("$data."+xfa.record.name,"$record");
         DataBinding = DataBinding.replace("$record.", "");
         var itemNode = xfa.form.resolveNode("xfa.datasets.data."+xfa.record.name+".sap-vhlist."+DataBinding.replace(/(\.)/g,"\\.").replace(/(\[\*\])/g,""));
         var size = 0;
         try
             size = itemNode.nodes.length;
             xfa.host.messageBox("Size is :"+size);
             if(size == 0)
                  xfa.host.messageBox("Month is empty");
         catch(e)
              xfa.host.messageBox("Error");

  • Warning message in portal after upgrade

    There are warning messages coming in web reports after upgrade to 7.31. In trace we could find the message " The unique is bbeleno is not valid" . Anyone has any input? pls help

    Does this warning happen to all web reports?
    This doesn't look like a reporting error message. Are you sure "bbeleno" is not a user that has been defined for some background connection between the ABAP and JAVA stacks? Check in SU01D to see if that bbeleno might be incorrectly set as a system user, or if it is used in the RFC connections between ABAP and JAVA.
    You say you get the warning in RSRT but was it executed on the ABAP stack ? You can try using RSRT2 and click on ABAP for that.

  • Supress warning message in Query Analyzer after free characteristic removed

    Hi
    I have a query and several workbooks looking to the same query.
    When I remove a free characteristic from the query (not the cube) I am presented with a warning message when opening Analyzer indicating that the removed field is no longer available on the report.
    Is there any way to supress these warning messages?  I am aware of the option Settings > Supress warnings from server but I would not want to ask every people to do this in the company.  Is there a way I can supress the warning from the query?
    We are running 3.x for this particular query and report.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    In RSRT, you have an option for the suppressing the messages.
    Have a look on the below link -
