Shared planning for multiple companies

Hi SB1 guys,
We have a prospect which is divided in <b>3 different companies</b>.
A large part of the payroll is common for those three companies (in other word, employees from company A work also for company B & C - so they have the same user name and password in the three DB)
<u>My question is</u>:
"<b>Is it possible to get a shared planning/agenda for the three companies</b> ?"
If you don't see what I call "Planning/Agenda", it contains informations you synchronize with MS Outlook.
In this planning/agenda, I want to get informations from different companies BUT for the same users ! (as I said, ONE employee works for several companies). 
In some other words, I want a common visual planning for three companies in the same time.
I search for an answer for several weeks now, someone would be really kind if he brings me an answer (even it's not possible) !

Thanks Baskar but I've already think about this issue.
In fact, my prospect want a visual planning where the manager could see a global view of employee's planning.
Sync with MS Outlook is helpful and sufficient for "individual use", I mean you could easily obtain info of your planning from different companies in MS Outlook but it's not possible to get this planning for multiple users.
My main request is to get a visual common in SAP Business One, but not in Outlook (where it's not possible in fact)

    It is not clear what you meaning about multiple environments. Do you mean these environments are in different directories or  in the same directory ? If you mean environments in different dirs share the same cache, it is interesting why you need that.
    If you do not use DB_PRIVATE to open the environment, the created cache will be on disk, in the environment directory, so it can be shared by multiple processes and multiple threads. Currently, the cache file is in the environment directory, and we do not support specifying a separate directory for cache only.

  • How to use Same Inspection plan for Multiple Plants?

    Hello,
    When I create a Process Order for material (M1), release and save it for a Plant A then I get the Inspection lot automatically.
    Now I have another Plant B that we have created. We would like to use the same Inspection plan that has been created for Plant A and M1
    So in the changed mode(QP02) of the Inspection plan for Plant A in the material assignment tab I added the Material M1 and the Plant B. I am assuming this means when I create the Process order for M1 in Plant B then it should use the same Inspection plan.
    But when I create the Process Order for M1 for Plant B, release and save it then it does not created the Inspection lot automatically(though I can create Inspection lot manually)
    Can you tell me if there is setting that will allow me to create the Inspection lot automatically on saving the Process order which should use the Inspection plan that I just assigned.
    And also let me know if there is a better way to handle same Inspection Plan for same material but multiple Plants.

    Dear,
    For your message my understanding is that you are not getting Inspection lot created in Plant"B". Inspection lot for a material would get created based on the Inspection Setup for the material master "QM View", so compare the QM for the material in both plants and correct it for Plant "B".
    Probably I feel Inspection Setup is not complete for the material in Plant "B" - Generally when extending material by copying referance, in the QM view you need to click the Inspection Setup Button, for the data to be copied...otherwise it does not copy the Inspection setup from the referance plant.

    i'm wondering if there is a way of consolidation various icloud storage plans into one.
    i only use my free 5gb for my 5s as i back up photos to my mac, however my wife has already upgraded her storage plan for her 5c to the £1/month.
    with the new release of backing up your entire photo library on you mac (which im keen to do) im going to need to upgrade my own account as the mac is set up for my apple id.
    i currently also pay for itunes match.
    im keen to know if there is a way we can use one large back up facility for: my 5s, the mrs's 5c, the mac, with out paying for multiple storage plans.
    im guessing the itunes match is stand alone but if i can have one payment for large storage and put everything there that would be ideal, and seem a reasonable request for most families.

    Our db version is Oracle 8i and looking for solution.
    I have multiple select sql statments and need to get the explain plan for all statments.
    Is it possible to take explain plan for all statments one time? If so please provide the steps.

    Not sure exactly you are looking. But if you do
    set autotrace on
    from sqlplus and put all the query in a script, you should get all explain plan in one shot. You can spool the output to a file.

  • Billing in the basis of billing plan for multiple schedule lines

    Hi All,
    I have one scenario in which we have created milestoen billing via project systems in sales order. Now Suppose I have three line items in my sales order and against each line items we have maintained multiple schedule lines. ex. 10%, 40%,50% respectively. Similarly for other line items also we have maintained the same. Now I need to generate invoice on the basis of schedule lines(billing plan). for ex. single Invoice covers 2 schedule lines out of total schedule lines in the line item. Similarly for other line items.

    Your milestone billing plan integrates with PS means that you have an order related billing.
    Hence schedule line is a confusing word and I assume it as a billing plan.
    Each milestone-related billing date is blocked for processing until the Project System confirms that the milestone is completed. The billing block will automatically be removed once the milestone is achieved.
    Do maintain copy controls properly at item category level (VTFA) and your billing should happen standard SAP way.
    If still you face any errors, please post the screenshots.

  • Combining payrolls for multiple companies

    We process payroll for mutliple companies that are all under one umbrella company.  We are looking at combining some payrolls that have like components to them so that we are actually processing less payrolls.  On paper it works, with the Journal entry being created based on the company that the employee belongs to however, my issue is that the create auto deposit file is only creating one bank file but I want it to create a bank file based on every company within that pay cycle.  Is anyone doing this?  And if so, how complicated is it to set up?

    Are you saying that is the way the program is designed? - no matter how many companies are within one pay cycle, only one bank file is created?  Would having the bank accounts split based on company be an enhancement?

    You are working on International Payroll roll(MOLGA=99) and the Payroll driver programme is "RPCALCX0" and in this case you should use one schema(Internation Payroll Schema- X000 to your custom schema) for all companies.
    As per standard system in variant creation table V_T52OCV, system will not allow to maintain variant more that one variant for one payroll driver programme.
    Better you raise OSS NOTE regarding this Issue.

  • Setting up a shared library for multiple accounts on the same machine

    I am in idiot. I can't figure it out. This is exactly what I did.
    1 - I set up multiple accounts on the computer. 1 for me and another for my wife.
    2 - I loaded all the music into my account's public folder.
    3 - I set the default folder in both hers and mine iTunes for this Public folder
    4 - I then opened iTunes in my account and none of the songs were showing up so I dragged the folder into iTunes and it did its business. Now my account is all set.
    Here are my questions:
    A - Do I need to drag the folder into my wife's account iTunes as well?
    B - If either of us add music when logged in, will it automatically update in the other iTunes interface or is there something specific that needs to (manually) be done?

    Doing it the way you did, you each have your own iTunes library file and are using the same iTunes music folder.
    Changes by one will not be seen by the other and any new music added by one will have to be added to the library by the other.
    Also, if one deletes music, it will be in teh library for the other but it will not be playable because the other person deleted it in the iTunes music folder.
    Launch iTunes, then immediately press and hold Option, then select *Create new library*.
    Create one in Users/Shared.
    Quit iTunes.
    Move all your music into the new /Users/Shared/iTunes/iTunes music folder.
    Login to your Wife's computer account.
    Move all her music into the new /Users/Shared/iTunes/iTunes music folder.
    On her account, launch iTunes, then immediately press and hold Option, then select *Choose existing library*.
    Select the _iTunes library file_ in /Users/Shared/iTunes.
    In iTunes, File -> Add to library and select the iTunes music folder in /Users/Shared/iTunes.
    All the music will be there.
    Quit iTunes and log out of her account and back into your account and launch iTunes normally.
    All music will be there.
    You should go to /Users/Shared/iTunes folder and right click - get info, click *Ownership & Permissions*. Set *You can* to *Read & Write* and set Others to *Read & Write*.
    Click *Apply to enclosed items*.
    Any changes (new/deleted music, ratings, playlists, etc.) by one will be seen by the other sionce you are using the same iTunes library file.
    Only one person can have iTunes open at a time. If you use Fast User switching, one will need to quit iTunes before the other can use it.

  • Sharing folders for multiple uses on my new iMac

    I am tryng to figure out how to have multiple users on the same machine access and use the same files (music, photos, documents). I followed the instructions in a an article in MacWorld, but it seems that the files cannot be accessed by other users unless the person sharing is logged in and running the program. Even when this is the case, the user has to navigate the the files on the side pane. I then tried moving the the iTunes folder into the shared directory and then as the new user File-Add to Library... option. After pointing to the shared folder, it created a copy of the entire folder. Is there a way that all of the users on the machine can have their iTunes and iPhoto just open normally and look at the shared folder of songs and pics?

    Specifically for sharing iPhoto:
    There are two ways to share, depending on what you mean by 'share'.
    If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
    Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
    If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc. then:
    Quit iPhoto in both accounts
    Move the iPhoto Library Folder to an external HD set to ignore permissions. You could also use a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.
    In each account in turn: Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting dialogue, select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new library location. From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
    However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.
    Finally: If you’re comfortable in the Terminal, and understand File Permissions, ACL’s etc., some folks have reported success using the process outlined here . (Note this page refers to 10.4, but it should also work on 10.5). If you’re not comfortable with the terminal, and don’t know an ACL from the ACLU, then you’re best doing something else... Oh, and the warning about simultaneous users still applies.

  • Sharing library for multiple users on same computer

    I have 2 non-administrator accounts and an administrator account on one Mac. (G5 running Tiger). I have tried various ways of sharing songs between all of these accounts. What I am trying to do is have the 3 accounts show the same songs when they open iTunes. I want to be able to add songs to any of the individual accounts, and have it show up in all 3. I do not want to make 3 copies of each song. I can't seem to get this to work. I had this working before I upgraded to itunes 9. Now no matter what I do, can't get it to work. Can someone let me know how I can set this up?

  • Capacity planning for multiple orders

    Hi All,
    I am sure this is a common situation but I am struggling to map it so can I get some guidance.
    We have a number of work centers where the capacity is based on the area of the part going into it against the shelf space. For example - we use an oven in our manufacturing process. It has 3 shelves with 3 m2 space in total. We would put different sized parts in until it is full. How can I map this capacity constraint in PP??

       You can determine the quantity of a material that can be accomodated in the oven with the mentioned space and the amount of time required to process the oven with that quantity. So mention this quantity in routing and do the Capacity planning as with the standard Processing formula in the Work center or use the formula [Formula for furnace|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/b1/c03921439a11d189410000e829fbbd/content.htm]
      But, in real time, as we process different types of products, the confirmation qty of that Production order determines the qty processsed. Hence it is not possible to do capacity planning with the combination of different products.

    I want to have a centralized addressbook for my family and thought, the addressbookserver would provide that.
    I have actually setup 2 useraccounts on the server, activated the addressbookservice and set up a new addressbookaccount in Mail, Contacts, Calender on the clients.
    What I get is two individual addressbooks hosted on the server.
    What I wanted to get is to see a common addressbook for group contacts.
    What did I wrong?
    Where on the server are the addressbook files stored?
