Shared Review Wizard: Change default delivery method?

In step two of the Shared Review Wizard, user is prompted to decide how to send the PDF file. The default option is set to "Automatically send email invitation to reviewers" with the sub-option of "Attach the PDF file to the message & save a copy locally".
Is there a way to change this to default to the 2nd sub-option of "Send a link ... "?
Acrobat Professional 8.1.2

Hi Sharadha,
I am facing the same problem.
But despite adding Infotype 5007 for Object Type D in table T777I, the Delivery Method option is not appearing for me.
It was appearing as long as LSO was activated in the system.
But since my customer is not using LSO, we deactivated it. My customer is using TEM stand-alone (ECC6.0).
I suspect this functionality is available only while using LSO.
Let me know if you are aware of this.
Thanks.

  • How do I Automatically Send a PDF for Shared Review?

    Hello,
    I am trying to automate sending documents for shared review. Basically, all my users post PDFs to the same location and so they perform all the same actions. I would like to make it easier on them and automatically trigger all the actions. Currently, I am using Acrobat.dll in a C# program, but I am not adamant about using this particular technology. All I could get was:
    Acrobat.AcroAppClass acro = new Acrobat.AcroAppClass();
    acro.MenuItemExecute("SendForSharedReview");
    This opens the shared review wizard, and I can send keystrokes to the wizard dialog box, but I am hoping there is a more elegant method of doing it. Is there an API that I should be using or some other method to automatically trigger a shered review on a selected document?
    Thanks,
    Pawel

    It took a while to figure out, but I confirmed it with Adobe staff. The answer is no; sending multiple documents for shared review is not possible with LiveCycle or with any other Adobe software.
    The only thing to do would be automate with some kind of clicker application or AutoIt, but that is far from ideal.

  • Acrobat can't access shared review data on WebDAV

    Now I'm trying to setup shared review environment using WebDAV.
    but, only when i use acrobat on MacOSX, can't access review data.
    when i use windows this problem doesn't happen.
    Does anyone know the any of reasons, workarounds?
    * Environment
    DAV Server : Apache 2.2.3 (mod_dav, mod_dav_fs) on CentOS 5.6
    Client : Mac OSX 10.6.8
    Acrobat : Acrobat Pro 10.0.0
    * Repro Steps
    1. Open Safari
    2. Access to WebDAV Url
    3. Acrobat (plugin) on Safari seems to open pdf file correctly, but error dialog is appeared.
        dialog says "can't connect to ... (in Japanese)"
    * Additional Info
    I can uploaded pdf file to WebDAV folder with this(MacOSX) client. (use Shared review wizard of Acrobat)
    I can access review data when I use Windows(XP Pro, Acrobat X Pro and Acrobat Reader X 10.1.0)
    WebDAV server 100% passed litmus(server protocol compliance test suite)
       litmus : http://www.webdav.org/neon/litmus/
    This problem occured both of via http and via https.

    A similar issue was fixed in Acrobat 10.1 patch. Download and install the patch from Adobe website and see if your issue is resolved.
    I installed Acrobat Reader 10.1.0 on the above Mac (I didn't apply the patch). but the same problem reproduced with this Acrobat Reader.
    ( get the Dialog box which says "Acrobat cannot connect to the Review Server ..." )
    Then I changed the following preferences, This problem has not been solved yet.
    1. Security(Enhanced)
        Add webdav host to Privileged Locations.
    2. Trust Manager -> Internet Access ...
       Click 'Change Settings...', then Allow webdav site address.
    I verified the followings.
    1. MacOSX Safari can't access to PDF(Shared Review) properly.
    After the installing Adobe Reader 10.1.0, while loading pdf, progress bar of Acrobat Reader Plugin began to not progress (not finished to open).
    When I open the PDF(not for Shared Review), Reader Plugin can open it correctly.
    (I verified Safari's installed plugin setting for pdf  is "Adobe Acrobat Plug-in, Version 10.1.0")
    *I verified the following 2-4 with Firefox on MacOSX.
    2. I checked http access log (of webdav server), but there are no access logs from (MacOSX's) Adobe Synchronizer.(I verified this when the firewall of MacOSX was disabled)
    3. Access to PDF file is working properly (Acorobat Reader on MacOSX can display PDF (but shared review data are not)).
    4. When I accessed from Windows XP(Acrobat Reader), like the following http access log has been recorded.
    xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - suda [22/Sep/2011:15:41:55 +0900] "GET /webdavtest/2/413/1/NEW_0003_review.pdf__735c6012134e4f9f9fbdebb4b9029b39/masao.suda.at.i nteraction-i.co.jp.xml HTTP/1.1" 304 - "-" "Mozilla/3.0 (compatible; Adobe Synchronizer 10.1.1)"
    It seems that Adobe Synchronizer on MacOSX (Adobe Resource Synchronizer) doesn't work properly.
    In the previous post. Once I (and my co-worker) verified this was solved certainly.
    I found similar issue (  http://forums.adobe.com/thread/850377 ). was this problem solved?

  • Acrobat 9 Shared Review error "Could not save the shared review-enabled pdf file. .

    I attempted to start a Shared Review of a PDF file.  I have been unable to initiate the review.  Upon completion of the setup routine (i.e., filed idenitified, server location identified, participant's email entered, send selected, I get the error message - Status"  Could not save the shared review-enabled PDF file.

    As a workaround, don't put the source PDF at the network folder location which you have specified in Shared Review wizard. Eg. if you are initiating a review at the network location \\servername\xyz, ensure that your source PDF is not placed at \\servername\xyz.
    I have not understood your second question. Do you mean to say that Acrobat.com option is disabled for you?

  • Shared Review of Forms

    I briefly searched for this topic with no hits.
    I created a form from a word document and added one dynamic control: a button to clear all the form fields.  The remainder of the form is composed of text fields and checkboxes.
    I am using Acrobat 9 Pro (Version 9.3.2).  When I use the 'Send for Shared Review...' command, I send to reviewers in a message as a link.
    The copy of the document that reviewers open, doesn't display the form fields and enable reviewers to use them.  I performed an 'Examine' document and it finds all the form fields in the Navigation Panel, but I can't figure out why they aren't visible.  I checked all form fields' properties, and all are visible.  I can use the form before I send it for review, but somehow sending it for shared review is changing something about the display of the form fields.
    Anyone seen this and resolved it?

    What are the instructions for Acrobat Pro v11.0.10?
    There is no option to save as "Archive copy" only "PDF-X/A" but that returns an error that it can't be saved.
    All instances of Shared Review sessions have been removed from the the "Tracker..." dialog, but I am still getting server pings. By all rights, there should be no more pings to any server. When I am actually in my network where the server is visible, Adobe is connecting without my permission.
    How can I get the server pings to completely stop in Acrobat Pro v11.0.10?

  • Automating Shared Review for Reader using the Acrobat 9 SDK

    I am new to the Acrobat SDK as well as writing plug-ins.
    However, I have been tasked with implementing a "Shared Review" in Reader for collaborative proofing.  I understand how to do this using the "Send for Shared Review" wizard in Acrobat, however I need to automate this process.  The PDFs that will be proofed in a "Shared Review" session using Reader are generated from a hot folder process, so there is no physical end user to run the Acrobat 9 "Send for Shared Review" for every PDF.  I need to automate this process.
    I was told that the SDK would allow this, but at the same time I have read some posts that claim this can not be done in the SDK and LiveCycle is required.
    Can someone confirm that the SDK can enable a PDF for "Shared Review"?  If so, how is this done?
    If it can not be done, is the only option LiveCycle or can an Acrobat macro be written to simulate the "Send for Shared Review" wizard?
    Thanks in advance.

    Is it technically feasible?  Yes, but it is far from simple.
    Is it possible?  Probably not.
    In order for Reader to load a plug-in, that plug-in must contain a certificate provided to you by Adobe after completing the "RIKLA" process (Reader Integration Key License Agreement).  Part of this process is a team at Adobe reviewing the purpose of your plug-in to verify that it does not try to duplicate functionality available in Acrobat.  For this reason, I don't think your plug-in would be approved.  You should certainly submit a RIKLA application anyways just to make sure (you can do this before you start with any code so you're not wasting effort if it gets declined).
    You can find the RIKLA info here:

  • Shared Reviews Multiple Network Locations

    Hi,
    I started using the Shared Review process in Acrobat X and the workflow is great, but when I want to send a different PDF (i.e. a whole entirely separate project) out for a shared review to different reviewers, it seems the XML folder is still being created in the first network folder I chose. I would like to have some Shared Reviews in folder "A" and some in folder "B", but I haven't been able to do that successfully. Is it possible?
    ZeroZone

    When you create the new review, are you entering a "different" network path in the Shared Review wizard, or using the same profile which got created during the creation of first review? If you enter a new network folder path, the new review will use that folder path to create XML files.

    In the shared review wizard I entered my e-mail in the 'Specify External Reviewers Email ID(s)' box and clicked 'Add to List'.
    I get an alert 'No End point is defined for receiving emails from External reviewers'.
    Could anyone please tell me how I define this end point.

    Hi Michael
    The email endpoint on the Complete Task is for continuing Workspace processes via email.
    It won't help you with the Contentspace Shared Review.
    Although I'm not familiar with the Contentspace Shared Review, I found the following Help item that may solve the problem?

  • Chrome as default browser and Adobe Shared Review

    Below is a comment from one of my SMEs who is involved in one of my Adobe Shared Reviews.
    SME Comment: I am about 1/3 done. I have Google Chrome as my default browser.  Clicking on the link brings up the document in the browser.  You have to select "open as pdf" to get the commenting tool bars.  I am using adobe reader 11 and it fails frequently.  If you use this, make sure you publish your comments frequently, because you lose everything when it fails.
    Does anyone have any suggestions as to why Chrome causes issues versus IExplorer. This is the first I have had this type of comment returned to me from one of my reviewers.
    Regards,

    Personally, I'd monitor to see what the application sets when applying the browser as your default on any other machine. Then check to see if it's getting set correctly on login. If it's not, force these to carry over using a UEM, Package, GPO, Script or
    whatever you have at your disposal.
    There may be a policy which blocks users from changing default progams.

  • Adobe Shared Review Doesn't Recognize Outlook 2010 as Default Email Program

    We just received new laptops from our company with Windows 7 on them and Acrobat 9.4.0. Previously, we were using Windows XP with Acrobat 8.3.2 and didn't have the following issue.
    When I begin a shared review and get to the Add Email dialog, I click To: and Acrobat pops up an error that Outlook is not the default email program. Fact is, though, it is the default email program. I checked under Default Programs and made sure Microsoft Outlook was set.
    Needless to say, this completely prohibits us from using Shared Review. There is no way around this that I can see (I tried just typing in email addresses but then it tells me it can't send it because I don't have an email client).
    Outlook opens fine via email links from my browsers (IE and FF), other documents, etc. The IE default email is set to Outlook as well (not sure that makes a difference).
    My fear is that this is a result of Windows 7 'not being fully supported by Adobe until an undisclosed release'. Please tell me I am wrong and there is a setting I am missing.
    I am inserting an image of the error.

  • Dynamic Stamp Reviewer Name Changes upon Comment Download from Shared Review

    When reviewers publish their dynamic stamp to an active Shared Review and I join the review, it downloads their comments (including the dynamic stamp) but when it downloads to my copy, the name on the stamp changes from their profile name to my profile name. If I double-click on the stamp, the reviewer's name shows up on the comment pop-up yet my profile name remains on the stamp image.
    I've dug around in the forum and have found no information about this problem. Does anyone out there have a fix for this or have you seen this problem as well?
    It happens whether the review is initiated and stored in a network server directory, or using a SharePoint workspace.
    No matter who has initiated the review, the renamed stamp appears in other participants' review copies. This was not happening at all before (we have been using Shared Review since 2012).
    It just started happening and it is occurring to others at our company as well. Initiating from different versions of Acrobat (ranging from Acrobat 9 to Acrobat 10) results in the same problem.
    Some reviewers' names are showing correctly and some are replaced with the user's name. See below.
    Below you can see the first approved stamp name (and time stamp) is different than the pop-up.
    The second is the same as the reviewer.

    I don't have the answer but I've seen the same thing, only with it twist. It seems to be related to the disappearing comments that others are talking about.
    We use the dynamic stamps just as you do and for certain users, the stamps disappear when the review file is opened again, no matter who opens it. You can see then listed as having added comments as the file is opening but no stamps are showing, and they aren't listed in the comments window once the file is open.
    But we have one user who DOES see the stamps - except that they have his name instead of the user that actually stamped it! So for some users, there's no problem - they stamp the file and everyone sees it fine. For others, the stamp disappears whenever anyone except that one user opens it, and he sees his own name on them. We all use Acrobat X except this one user, who's still on Acrobat 9.
    This all started recently and the number of affected users seems to be increasing. I firmly believe that it's related to recent updates that have been sent out, though I can't prove it. Not sure why else the problem would just start happening, and not to every user.
    This is a serious problem that needs to be fixed!

  • [Forum FAQ] How do I change default values shown in Report Delivery Options?

    Introduction
    Some users want to change default values shown in Report Delivery Options when creating standard subscriptions. Someone might want to always Cc the report to a specified user without sending the report URL. So they want to display those default values display
    automatically when creating standard subscriptions like below.
    Solution
    To achieve this goal, please embed JavaScript code into the SubscriptionProperties.aspx file to change those default values (By default, the file’s location is: <Installation directory>\Reporting Services\ReportManager\Pages\SubcriptionProperties.aspx).
    The example below will show how to set default values for “Cc” field and “Include Link” field.
    Before coding, pleas find out the corresponding HTML tags of the two fields in the browser using IE Developer Tools.
    Get “Cc” field with its corresponding HTML tag
    Get “Include Link” field with its corresponding HTML tag
    Embed such a code snippet at the end of the existing code within the SubcriptionProperties.aspx file
    <script runat="server">
    protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
        Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(typeof(Page),"MyScript", "var cc = document.getElementById('CcEmailAddressesID');cc.value = '[email protected]';var IncludeLink = document.getElementById('ui_cbIncludeLink');IncludeLink.checked
    = false;",true);}
    </script>
    Create a new subscription to check the default values shown in Report Delivery Options
    Applies to
    Reporting Services 2005
    Reporting Services 2008
    Reporting Services 2008 R2
    Reporting Services 2012
    Reporting Services 2014

    Thanks,
    Is this a supported scenario, or does it use unsupported features?
    For example, can we call exec [ReportServer].dbo.AddEvent @EventType='TimedSubscription', @EventData='b64ce7ec-d598-45cd-bbc2-ea202e0c129d'
    in a supported way?
    Thanks! Josh
