Shared variable does not work between two computers
I am using LabVIEW 8 on Windows XP computers.
1. On one computer I have created two projects, writeProject and readProject.
2. In the writeProject I have a shared variable, writeData, which is "network-published" double. In this project I have a writeData.vi which in while loop assigns a random value to the writeData variable.
3. In the readProject I have a shared variable, readData, which is "network-published" double and is bound to the writeData variable. This is on the same computer as the writeProject.
4. I run both the writeData.vi and the readData.vi and all works fine.
5. Now, I create a readProject on a diferent computer. Perform all the steps as described above and also in tools/shared variable/register computer, I have entered the IP address of the target computer on which the writeData shared variable exists.
6. Binding the readData variable fails in the following way. When I browse for the source, in the "Select Source Item" dialog, I see <IP> <Populating Node...>, where <IP> is the IP address of the source computer (on which exists the writeData shared variable). A very long time later it is still "Populating Node...". Neddless to say, this readData.vi does not work!
What am I doing wrong? Or, perhapse what else do I need to do to make it work?

Also, you can only use it on two computers if they belong to the same person, are used only by that one person, and are not used at the same time. To install on two computers for two people needs two licenses. Adobe sell volume licenses, but do not sell an "all the computers in the office" license.

Shared variable does not work in executable
In editor mode, the shared variables update fine. When I build the executable, the shared variables no longer work.

shared variables, I/O variables, or I/O aliases. When the shared
variable you want to scale is a network-published shared variable, it
must have a data source. Configure a network-published shared variable
to have a data source by placing a checkmark in the Enable Aliasing checkbox on the Variable page of the Shared Variable Properties dialog box. -
Call does not work between two SX80
Hello,
I have two SX80 TelePresence Devices installed on same Network. I want to make call ( IP to IP ) between two Sx80 and the Result was no call Establish between them.
Are there any configuration required to do it from my side to add to the SX80?
Note: this two SX80 WORKING stand alone ( No CUCM or MCU).

Rollback does not work between two databases
I have two databases, A and B and a database link.
I have a procedure in database A that has calls to procedures of database B. When commit in A then gives error (ora-06512), then I make rollback, but only does for database A, in database B has recorded the data. It's normally? What's happens?
ThanksI'm afraid you'll need to give as more information; ORA-06512 is a very generic message and is used to indicate which line another error occured. Can you tell us what that error was, and exactly what you're trying to do?

The shared variable does not exist????
This seems really strange!!
I already use several shared variables within my whole project without any problem. At this point, I created a new one (a boolean network published) and everything seemed just fine (no errors were detected in my VI and it runs normally). However, when the VI on my host computer tries to use the shared variable, it generates an error message saying "LabVIEW: (Hex 0x8BBB0005) The shared variable does not exist." (see attached screenshot).
What is going on? I can't find any help online about that... Can anybody help me with this please?

This error can occur if you have an incorrect Path specified under your Bind to Source section for the shared variable - this could be as simple as a typographical error in the defined path. Double-check that portion of your shared variable definition, and hopefully it'll be as simple as finding a typo in your path. You should be able to browse for your variable/path by clicking Browse and then selecting Network Items if your shared variable is on the network. Can you find it by browsing?

Shared Variable does not update when typedef is changed
I have a shared variable of type custom control (typedef made up of a cluster). When I chang the typedef, e.g. the name or type of one of the fields in the cluster, and then save it, the shared variable does not update to reflect this change. That is, if I place the shared variable on my block diagram and do a "UNBUNDLE BY NAME" on the output, I see the old fields. I have to go back to the properties of the shared variable, change its data type, apply it, then go back and change it back to my custom control.
Anyone else seen this behaviour? Anyone know how to get the shared variable to update without going through this procedure?

Datasocket does not work with two network cards
If I have two ethernet card in a PC. The Datasocket server does not work if the second card is enabled. It keeps displaying resolving IP Address. I am wondering if there is a solution for this problem.
ThanksThanks for you reply. One card has a static address(10.20.35.1), which is used for Data socket, and the other card uses a dynamic IP address. The card with dynamic address is only used for connecting the PC to the company’s network.
The second card, when turned on causes the Datasocket server problem. In the Datasocket Server manager I have only two IP addresses under Permissions Groups. (10.20.35.1 and 10.20.35.11. 10.20.35.11 is the IP address of the remote PC with labview application. The Datasocket is used to transfer data between the two PC’s)
I am wondering if my set up for hosts in Datasocket Server manager is not correct. -
Mail in Mavericks not working between two macs.

I have a 2012 iMac as well as a 2009 MacBook Pro. I am running Mavericks on both machines. I'm having issues with my exchange e-mail contacts and calendar, syncing between the two devices. I will get it to work on one device or the other but not both at the same time. More specifically in mail when it is working on one computer and I go to check my mail on the other it asks me to put in my password for that e-mail account. Every time I do this it does not work and it always returns an error. If I go to delete an account on either computer it tells me the account is linked to "Internet account" under settings for the computer. When I delete the exchange account from "Internet account" it warns me that it will delete the account off of both macs. When I re-add the exchange account mail, contacts and calander all work for whichever computer I add it on. But the other computer will only show calander or contacts not all three.
Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong or have a solution? This is very frustrating and I cant seem to find a solution.Hi,
Those last two I do not have on my iMac that is working and part of the issue I have in testing is I don't have a second Mac that will run Yosemite.
Realistically it could be any of the ones that contain com.apple.ids.service.com.apple.private.alloy.***.plist
The plain SMS.plist only states it has been started up not what the Mac is linked to.
Unfortunately nothing is standing out as the Specific one for me at the moment.

WCCP does not work between WSA and ASA
I have configured WCCPv2 between WSA S160 ( 6.3.1-025) and ASA5540 (8.2(1)109).
Everything seems to be OK by "show wccp *" on ASA and showing wccp debugging messages (level 4) on S160. Despite of it, WCCP redirection does not work.
If I use packet-capture I figure out that S160 receives GRE packets with TCP SYN from particular LAN host to WWW sites but S160 does not handle them and does not send anything back to ASA.
It is an Exempt from authentication for this LAN host and in Forward proxy mode everything works well.
I have attached an example of a packet-capture (S160.txt - renamed from .cap) and debugging messages from S160 & "show" from ASA.
Does anybody have any idea what the problem is and how I can resolve it ?IronPort Support team helped me to find the trouble:

Select list with bind variable does not work

As I explained, the P16_ID is an item of the master page (page 16)
In Page 18 where I want to reuse that value, the item is not there, but I use it to assign
P18_EVENT_ID with the value in P16_ID and that works fine.

I have an IMAC, iPhone 5s and an Ipad all with the last IOS version and synchro does not work at all.
My iCloud address is not with iCloud but with hotmail.
I dod not get any suitable answer from the retailers in Budapest.

Home Sharing does not work between a new computer and old computers
Hello Guys,
I recently brought a new sony vaio laptop however it does not seem to work with my current homesharing system. My old laptop and the old computers which worked together, still work fine across different versions of itunes including the newest one. However my new laptop has the new itunes but it doesn't work. The old computers/laptops can pick up the new laptop and homeshare across however this new one cannot sense any. All are on same network as well as all have been athorised and on same homesharing. Doesn't seem to be firewall either. Help Windows 8 to Windows Vista to iOS newest one.Fixed my problem. I just needed to upgrade the firmware on my router.
