  • Occasional SOAP errors when making web service calls from C#

We have a C# application making web service calls to RFCs (non-NCO, SAP 4.7, WAS 6.40) and occasionally getting the following error:
The 'SOAP-ENV:Envelope' start tag on line '1' does not match the end tag of 'SOAP-ENV:Envel'. Line 1, position 34560.
This error happens randomly and can occur, not occur, and occur again for the exact same call (same data, same web service call).  I anticipate that we might have a missing configuration on one of our application servers, but don't know where to tell BASIS to look.  Any ideas or other help would be appreciated.

That's going to be difficult.  The random nature of the error makes it impossible to reproduce (so far) in our Development and Test environments.  Since the error is coming from the SAP side, I believe I would need a sniffer on each production application server in order to try to catch this and that would result in some very large log files.  Is there any log file or other SAP transaction that might already be capturing these failures?

  • Errors when processing web service call

    Hello Experts,
Based on a requirement, I got a URL based on WSDL, using which I created a Consumer Proxy in SAP.

    1) SOAP:14 Unexpected element -el=definitions ns=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/
2)Error when processing Web service call
3)Error when calling SOAP Runtime functions: Unexpected element -el=definitions ns=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/

  • Error reporting with web service call

    Hi Experts,
We have a unique requirement of logging errors or exceptions throughout the message lifecycle to a Logging System via a web service call.
If error occur during message processing, is there any way to trigger an error message from every step of message pipeline which will invoke a web service ?
Please share your views on it.
We are using PI7.3 Java only stack.
    - Shri

    Hi
You  can try using a try/catch block in your UDF and  write the logging lookup logic in catch block.
It can catch some exceptions(For example response message parsing). Just give a try.
And let me know the result.
    Thanks,
    Dhanish

  • Making Web Service calls from a Form in the WorkSpace

I am getting conflicting information about this, so I hope someone here could clarify it. TIA.
This is what I want to do:
after a form is displayed/launched in the WorkSpace,
when the user Tabs out of a field (Exit event) on the form,
I want to make a Web Service call from the form,
get the result from the WebService,
and use the Result to populate another field on the form.
I know for certain that this works if I Reader-Extend the form,
and I set the JavaScript at the Exit event (to execute WebService call)
    as "Run At Client".
    The question is:
can I make the WebService calls without Reader-Extending the form???
I have been told that, yes you can,
but *only if* you let the JavaScript "Run At Server".
I tried that, but it caused the Reader to crash.
    Some other people told me,
    no you can not,
even if you "Run At Server", the form still needs to be Reader-Extended,
when using it in the WorkSpace environment.
So, what is the truth? can someon tell me?
Can I make WebServers calls from the Server-side at all?
Do I really need to Reader-Extend the form even if calling it from server side?
What exactly is it SUPPOSED to work?
    thanks

yes, thank you both. I got the fix from Adobe Tech Support last week. It's working.
The fix I got included a rather complex looking "Submit Service" though. Makes me wonder how a regular user would know that he needs to write such a Submit Service?? and even if he knows that he needs a special Submit Service, would he know how to write it??? I found no documentation for this type of things either.
Shouldn't this solution be published somewhere in Adobe's website? Dev Lab perhaps?

  • Documaker making web service calls

Hi, does anyone know if documaker and make web service calls to retrieve data
    thanks

There are other products within the Oracle Documaker suite which have this capability, specifically Transall. Documaker server processes (gendata, etc) cannot natively call web services without customized implementations. Hope this helps!

HTTP 403 means you don't have permission to access that URL. Have you supplied credentials?

  • Error while invoking web service over SSL

While making a SSL Connections to web service i am getting the below mentioned error in spite of configuring the certificate provided by the client onto WLS.
I tried adding the certificate to the default DemoTrust and DemoIdentity Keystores. The error still persisted.
I also tried importing the certificate(into cacerts keystore) as Java Standard Trust as well as tried pointing it to the custom keystores. None of it worked :(

    Which version/platform are you using?
The thing you need to consider here is that the JDev proxy settings do not affect the BPEL server.
So if the BPEL server cannot connect to your webservice, it will not be because of any Jdev setting.
Check the proxy settings on your BPEL server (on 10.1.2 developer install it will be in obsetenv.bat, on 10.1.3 it will be a commandline property of the JVM - see AS Control administration page for the JVM)

    {color}{color:#000000}The Scenarios is as follows:
I am having a JCA connector which is calling the CCA Method.
CCA uses the web services for method invocation and i have created the jar file for the web service proxies. teh proxies are of RPC type. I have include the jar file in the connector project for reference.
I have written a webservice client which will get the connection abject and invoke a method which internally invokes the CCA method.
During this time it is giving this error.
Please note that i have included the wsclient-extend.jar file ,wsclient jar file in both the connector project and the client project.
    Thanks

You have to add the jaxrpc library in the server.xml configuration of your embedded oc4j.
    Line:
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.ws.jaxrpc"/>
You have to do this twice: in the adf.oracle.domain and the adf.generic.domain shared lib entries.
Then, you have to do this again in the system-application.xml file (only once).

  • Error while accessing web service

I have a web service (EJB).
After generating clients from wsdl file, while i am trying to access the corresponding function from the client, i am getting the following error.
javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: Endpoint {http://data.module.bill.company.net/}DataService does not contain operation meta data for: {http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmlenc#}EncryptedData
I dont know why it happens.
    Can anyone please help me.
    Thanks in Advance...

    Hi Aseem,
    how are you doing ?
Authorizations in portal are user specific.
The current problem is due to the user not having sufficient permissions on the back end to execute the call.
    for this check :-
1> the current user in portal
2> mapping to user in the back end
3> back end user permissions for the RFC / BAPI & it's dependant objects
    with respect,
    amit

    Hi,
maybe you should see the settings for the ServicesRegistrySiService too. Under nwa->SOA.
I am not sure, but the error seems like not able to use the ServicesRegistrySiPort, which is to be authenticated against.
It is then used for retrieval of web services and publishing to the registry... i suppose.
    I am not sure though.
    Best regards,
    Vera

  • Error while invoking web service through weblogic 10

While invoking a particular web service from other system it gives following error in instance finder
exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Read timed out
After that when it is invoked and run without error, we are getting double identical entiries in our database one for failed one and other for successful.
suppose if it is failed 3 times and after that it succeeds then we are getting 4 identical entries in DB (3 failed and 1 success).
Entries updated in DB as per API so we cant change logic.
Can anyone suggest how it can be avoided.?
what is the root cause of this error and how it can be handled?

    Which version/platform are you using?
The thing you need to consider here is that the JDev proxy settings do not affect the BPEL server.
So if the BPEL server cannot connect to your webservice, it will not be because of any Jdev setting.
Check the proxy settings on your BPEL server (on 10.1.2 developer install it will be in obsetenv.bat, on 10.1.3 it will be a commandline property of the JVM - see AS Control administration page for the JVM)
