Shockwave player crashing browsers after upgrading to version 12.0.2.122
This was sent as a bug report, but keeps coming back stating the Adobe email is invalid.
Feedback Report : Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Login to www.gameland.com
2. Username:
3. Password:
4. Click on Yippee top menu bar.
5. Click on All Yippee Games Game Lobby
6. Choose any game type and click Create
7. In IE - Internet Explorer has stopped working
a. It then prevents them from returning to GameLand.com
8. In Chrome - "Shockwave for Director has crashed" message.
9. In FireFox - page takes a long time to finish loading, then get message: The Shockwave for Director plugin has crashed.
10. Unhandled exception at 0x777415de in iexplore.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000c.
11. Unhandled exception at 0x777415de in iexplore.exe: 0x00000000: The operation completed successfully.
Results:These errors started right after updating to 12.0.2.122
Expected results: Game to load.
Trying to log a bug on the shockwave bug report area generates a Mail Delivery Subsystem email sent to me stating that:

Texts are not showing up after upgrading to version 11
Could someone help me with why some of my texts are not show up on my Flash project? Before the upgrade, everything is fine. However, after upgrading to version 11, my texts are disappearing.
Before (version 10.3.183.7...)
After (version 11.0.1.152...)
The texts in the boxes will disappear, when I hover mouse cursor over it. Those boxes with texts in them are created with an external AS file, and the texts are dynamicaly changed/put in with an external XML file. There is a mask on the boxes, show only 4 at a time.

You will see the changes with Flash player version 11, and everything working fine with older versions.
I use iMacs with Snow Leopard and Lion, and this happens on all of the browsers with Flash Player version 11.01.152. I also tested on Windows 7, and it is still happening. Is this a Flash Player bug or something changed that I am not aware of? Is there a work around for this?This is a known issue and we have a fix for this in our next release. Thanks for posting.

Why is my shockwave player crashing and how will it be fixed?
I just recently encountered this kind of problem, i never had much of a problem with adobe plug-ins except for this one. I use three internet browsers safari chrome and explorer. And all say the shockwave player crashes, why? When I want to watch a vid online at lets say devour or youtube, I cant watch it coz its non responsive, when I try playing games online as well. and even the ads in the yahoo mail.. How will this be fixed?
HELP would be greatly appreciated..thank you.AFAIK Youtube only requires Flash Player, not Shockwave Player.

the plugin for win media player is already installed and working fine in FF 6.02 before upgrade. i have Google this issue without any result so far. so i reinstalled the old version 6.02, until fix is found.
anyone has the similar issue with Firefox 7.01 in Win 7 32 bit ?The issue was not with FF 7.01. VLC player version 1.11.1 is conflicting with windows media player when FF 7.01 tries to play media files! Which was not happening before in FF 6.02.
VLC and plugin media player need to be uninstalled first, then uninstalled FF 6.02. Install FF 7.01 and then win plugin media player again.

After upgrading to version 11.0.4.4 I get a "Itunes has stopped working" message when I try to start a movie on my PC. I have updated Quick time and previous version of Itunes worked great.
One thing is for sure, and that is if the only page i visit is the Google homepage (not logged in) or this site (mozilla forum), the problem does not occur, ever. I can't make it happen.
If i visit yahoo.com (not logged in) (or ighome.com, logged in), as examples, it happens every time. -

Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :) -
Z10 not able to call oversea after upgrade to version 10.1.0.273
I live in Thailand and I usually make call to Malaysia using 009 service from CAT. The full number will be 0096057163xxx and I have been using 009 services for more than 10 years. After upgraded to version 10.1.0.273, I'm not able to make oversea call with 009 services. The reply is "The number you are calling is not in service", I try call with other mobile phones and everything work as per normal. I doubt the the latest version are not able to read and dial the first 2 digits "00". Please help to provide a solutions.
Checked with BB call center Thailand and they have not received similar complain from other customer, no solutions neither. I try making oversea call with 001, 007 and 008 follow by country code, all having the same problem. Especially for 008 follow country code 60 (Malaysia), it ends up calling to China. It seems like the firmware do not recognized the 3rd digit as it read it as 'country code' instead of international call service offer by CAT Thailand. This is really PISS me off and I hope RIM can do something about it!!

I am using ArcGIS 10 and Firefox 6 on Windows XP.
After upgrading to version 6 my ArcGIS files become corrupted if I save them while I have FF open (sporadic occurence, but limited to FF being open). Any ideas of what could be causing this? I have also posted on the ArcGIS forum site for input from that side.

It doesn't help. The things it says to look for aren't there for me, specifically:

I followed the rest of the instructions but it didn't help.
I did get it to quit opening tabs, instead it prompts me what it should do with the file every time now. What it should do, and used to do, is open the php page and display the HTML content.

My ipad will not stay activated after upgrading from version 7 to version 8.

But just for you know that I bought Apple to get the 'after service', they should've warn the users not to upgrade to a higher OS if it can caused the phone 'dead'. Mine was totally unusable when it's just been upgraded. It stayed in the recovery mode and couldn't be restored. So I brought it to the nearest store and they did that to me, and eventually the phone is working, only it cannot detect my SIM Card...
The problem is not about upgrading an iPhone to a newer version of iOS. Your problem was upgrading a hacked phone, one of the well known consequences of which is re-locking and/or bricking the entire device when restoring in iTunes. You chose to hack your phones firmware and operating system, so you must accept the consequences of going outside the bounds of normal use that Apple prescribes and supports.
Had you not hacked it in the first place, you likely would have never had a problem, and if you had, Apple would have offered support to deal with it. Your choice, your decision, your consequences. -

The likely problem is use of certain Oracle etc software, the developer Oracle being aware of the problem and working on a fix. Meanwhile there is a registry hack as a potential workaround, or the simpler workaround of downgrading temporarily to firefox 3.6.23.<br> -

frustrating indeed.Found a solution. See the info below from Chrome help. I chose the option to "To disable Adobe Flash completely, click the Disable link under its name." I had earlier tried to just disable one of the two, but that failed. All tests out OK after disable.
