Shopping Cart Disappearing
Hi all,
Having an issue with cart retention which is causing headaches for our clients.
Normally if a customer quits the browser while shopping and comes back to browsing again during the lifetime of the cart, all the items are held in the cart.
We are having an issue where if the customer views the cart and then closes the browser for whatever reason and then comes back to it, the cart is gone.
Steps to replicate the issue are:
Add a product to the cart
Click the view cart link of the shopping cart summary
Quit the browser.
Open the browser again and the cart is gone, along with the stock for the length of the cart lifetime.
Now if the customer views the cart and then adds another item all works as it should.
Thought I'd put this issue out to see if anyone else is having the same problem. I have support looking into it as well.
Have tested this on a couple of sites so it's a BC issue of some sort.

I just updated to iTunes 9, and overall I love it. However, I noticed that my shopping cart just disappeared. Anyone know what happened? Are there no more shopping carts in iTunes 9? Wish I had known that before I upgraded!
No, it's not the same at all! In iTunes8 you had a preference that said "Put items in cart". That meant that every other "buy" link essentially put things in a cart where you could review them before spending the money.
This is COMPLETELY different. Now you can do something much more complicated to put things on your wish list. The new behavior is to TAKE YOUR MONEY IMMEDIATELY. A single mis-click costs you money and they won't give you a refund.
All iTunes users should complain to Apple that reversing the meaning of a purchase control with no change to the user interface is not "Nice", it is Evil. Bad, bad, Apple. -
Does iTunes Shopping Cart Disappear After Reinstalling?
I am getting ready to uninstall and reinstall iTunes due to a cd drive problem and was wondering if I do so will it erase all the songs in my iTunes Shopping Cart?

We recently upgraded to SRM 7.0 and I have had a few users create carts that seem to have disappeared. In the new system a cart number is already generated and they are able to print preview the cart, so I can only assume those users did not actually click Order or Save.
However, I have found other scenarios where the user did save the cart (from screenshot they send us). But, if we go back through the shopping cart monitor or BBP_PD, there are no results. Is there another way to find these carts? How could they have disappeared?
MoniqueWhile it will be impossible to actually recreate this issue for OSS, if anyone has ever encountered this scenario at their organization, please let me know how you cleared up the mystery.
I don't know if the users may be clicking on something incorrectly or if it is the web browser they are using. In most cases, users appear to be doing everything correctly and they are able to create the carts again without any issue.
I can understand if the user did not actually save or order the cart that it would not be in the system. However, our users are saying that they are placing the orders and I have no reason to doubt them.
I even found an instance where the cart showed up in SLG1 but that was the only place and there were no errors.

Standard Hierarchy Inconsistencies
Issue: one Cost Center is repeating in more than one node in Cost Center Standard Hierarchy.
Update from SAP Global support, the following was the email received:
in transaction KSH3 please run both the ambiguity and completeness check(Menu -> Extras -> Check and Help functions).
If you think that your standard hierarchy is inconsistent you can check that as following:
Run transaction Extras -> Hierarchy - Master data -> Test. The result shows you if there are in consistencies. If that is the case run also Extras -> Hierarchy - Master data -> Comparison.
Alternatively, you can run the report 'RKCORRH1' (TN SE38).
Run both the Hierarchy->Master data->test and the
Hierarchy->Master data->comparison.
As stated above inconsistency message showed after Test. Run the comparison and you get a similar message.
Once the above two are run, again when you go to test, the inconsistency disappears. -
SRM 4.0: Source of Supplier not copying in line item on Shopping Cart
We are using SRM 4.0 in an extended classic setup and currently experiencing a problem with the source of supplier not being copied on line items. The user stated that when copying a line items in a shopping cart the source of supplier is not copying to the new line. It happens sometimes but not everytime the client uses the line copy option.
It was initially thought that based on the amount of the line item (>=$25,000) that would cause the source of supplier (vendor) not to copy to the new line item but it has been verified by client that is not the case. If anyone has seen this issue and know of what the root cause could be please let me know.

Actually this is occurring when the user is creating a shopping cart from scratch. He added a line item either from catalog or free text, sources the item and then uses the copy function to copy the line item. When the client does this the item is copied but the vendor disappears from the 2nd line item and client has to add it again.
So that OSS notes doesn't apply unless I'm missing something. -
GL directly from shopping cart without account assignment

Is there any prerequisite in the account assignment overview to select GL from the free text shopping cart?

any instances we may need to do this from SRM?

We do have option in SRM posting to direct GL account like GL = X (BACKENED ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENET) . FOR FREE TEXT ITEM , Can we post the GL account directly without ORDER / COST CENTER /WBS eleement .

Supplier not transferred from shopping cart to PO
HI,
We are on SRM 7.1 ECS.
The issue we are facing is with the presferred supplier value enetred
in shoping cart.When a shopping cart which has a preferread supplier
enetred in shopping cart appears in sourcing cockpit and when the cart
is converted to PO in sourcing,the supplier/vendor ID disappears from
the shopping cart and the corrresponding warning message can be seen in
sourcing application and error message in PO aplication .
This issue doeasnt happen if the supplier is eneterd in soucing.
Any idea what is the fix for this issue?

We have the exact problem described above and applied 1656774 but did not resolve the issue. You indicated that there is a prerequisite. And wow do we find out the prerequisites?
While apply the following errror was being noticed

Okay – this is an update – The fix would work but you want to make sure that 1576240 has to be first implemented and then only you can implement 1656774. The issue is resolved. -
PO information drop off from shopping cart
Hi everyone,
We have a problem, a shopping cart is created and got approved, followon document PO is created and automatically ordered.
Now the PO line item is deleted and again ordered, and the status of the PO is approved, now when we look into the related documents tab in shopping cart the information like PO number, status and PO date every thing is disappeared.
Before PO was edited the PO information was there, but after editing(line item deleted) the PO information got disappeared.
Can any one among you let me know why it happened and what to do to acheive the PO information back to shopping cart details

Issue got resolved, the process went like this:
1. User went to advanced search and accessed PO and went to edit mode and deleted the line item.
2. Then the SC related doc tab the PO info was missing
3. I undeleted the line item and ordered PO again so the PO was back to ordered state
4. Again the PO info was available in SC related doc tab
5. Then I accessed the PO from related doc tab and went into change mode then deleted the line item
6. Refresed the SC then the po staus is updated.

EDIT button not visible in Display Shopping Cart screen in SRM portal

I am facing one strange problem in SRM portal.
When i create a new shopping cart ON BEHALF of someone then after SAVING the shopping cart the EDIT button disappears from the screen.
But if i create a shopping cart for myself only then the EDIT button appears properly.
My system is SRM 7.0 .

Cost center not committed on shopping cart, for account assign cat "Asset"
Hello,
We are implementing extended classic scenario in SRM 5.0 with ECC 6.0 backend.
While creating a shopping cart in SRM, in the cost assignment tab when we select an account assignment category as Asset", and then try to enter a value in the cost center in the basic details of cost assignment, it is not getting committed to shopping cart screen. The cost center field value is lost when we move to the next screen for ordering the shopping cart. For the asset related purchases, we are using main account assignment category as "asset" and it also requires cost center, because while the asset master record is being created in R/3 for these items,it requires the cost center. We also using internal order. So for the account assignment category "Asset", the other account assignment fields that can be entered are cost center, internal order and one custom field called "project code".
We have created this user-defined field in the cost assignment tab in the shopping cart, purchase order and confirmation documents in SRM in accordance with the OSS note 672960. We have implemented BBP_CUF_BADI_2 & BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI, BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI for the shopping cart object.
Can someone please help me with this issue?

I know that for assets, SC requires asset number and G/L is automatically derived from the corresponding asset class from the backend. In our case, we are putting dummy asset number in shopping cart and this asset number exists in R/3. But we are not generating asset creation during shopping cart creation but we are doing it during the PO creation in doc change badi. During this asset generation you also need cost center on the asset record. So we have added cost center field for Asset account assignment category and I can see it in the details of account assignment. But when I enter this cost center on shopping cart, it doesnot get committed, it disappears when I order the shopping cart.
Does anybody have any clue why this might be happening?

Item-based Shopping Cart Approval
Hi,
I'm using Item-based approval shopping cart. I'm using the BADI BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI for getting the approvers. I'm getting all the approvers in APPROVAL_TABLE and having ITEM_APPROVAL_TABLE also filled. I'm giving different branch index for different line items. As I described in those table, it is picking the first approver for particular line items and sending workitem to them. But once I execute from One user, the workitem disappears from other. And I'm not populating any details in ITEM_APPROVAL_OBJ.
Is it needed to give the details in the table ITEM_APPROVAL_OBJ ????
Can anyone tell me how to proceed with item level approval ??

JMBYou don't need directly update anything in the table, the function module BBP_WFL_DIN_ITEM_APPROVAL_GET populates this table. Take a look at the existing BADI implementation.

Shopping Cart TabStrip is MIA (missing in action)!
The shopping cart tabs have all disappeared and I cannot find the control to bring them back!!
Details
When you logon to the SRM portal and go to the Shopping Cart (Employee Self-Services tab) you are shown two icons: Shopping Cart and Advanced Search. Under those two icons is a tab-strip with five tabs: 1) Shopping Carts; 2) Confirmations; 3) Invoices/Credit Memos; 4) Team Carts; and 5) Confirmations for Team Carts. If you right-click on any one of the tabs the context menu that appears has three options: 1) User Settings; 2) Display Quick Help; and 3) More Field Help. Upon clicking on the User Settings option you have two more options: 1) Hide <current> tab or 2) More Settings. Under the More option it brings up the complete tabstrip control window allowing you to add or remove any of the five tabs. However, there is also a link to "Hide Tabstrip Control." If you click this "link" it actually removes all of the tabs and you can no longer access anything.
I have deleted the UserID and recreated the UserID and the tabs remain hidden.
Please help!!Michael, thanks for your idea. I have tried that but right clicking on all other objects on the same page only shows the IE context menu (see below). I can actually still see varied screen shading (darker blue on a light blue background) where the tab strip was located. But if I click on another link, e.g. Advanced Search, and then right click on one of the fields on the subsequent form I do find a User Settings option. However, upon selecting the the "more" option it opens a new window that looks similar to the one for the tabstrip but it is specific to the field I right-clicked on located on the subsequent Advanced Search form. Each of these right-clicks will allow me to "hide" the button or field that was right-clicked on. I dare not do this as these fields will most definitely be "lost" to me as well. thanks for any help you can offer.
