Shopping list in SRM MDM?

Hi ,
We are using shopping list in SRM MDM. But if user is creating a shopping list, other users are able to see exiting shopping list (which is created by others.). They are able to add the items to other shopping lists.
My requirement is  "shopping list created by user A , should not be seen by user  B".
There is some options available like share/unshare, but those are not working. Even though if we give unshare option also, it has seen by others.
How we can achieve this functionality.
Regards
Venkatesh P

Hello
The Shopping Lists are stored for the MDM logon user defined in the call structure.
As you should be using a fixed predefined user for the catalog in call structure all the SRM users that have access to this catalog will be able to create / display the same Shopping Lists.
Verify note 1153525. As it says:
To give every named user working with the SRM-MDM Catalog the possibility to store Shopping Lists individually, you need to route the user from the SAP backend to the SRM-MDM Catalog.
In the external webservice definition for the catalog url, add the parameter 'sl_user' with the value 'SY-UNAME' (Type: SAP Field).
I hope this helps.

  • Shopping list in SRM-MDM catalog?

    Dear Experts,
What is the use of shopping list in SRM-MDM catalog?
I have created a new shopping list in the system. I have filled the name, description and other details in the new shopping list.
When I select my shopping list, the button u2018Add to shopping list u2018is still disabled. How we can add new items to a newly created shopping list? My understanding is that a shopping list is created to include different shopping items  as favorite list?
What is the function of the button u2018Share/Unshareu2019 ?
Please, help me to understand the functionality of shopping list in SRM-MDM catalog 3.0?
    Thanks and regards,

You can use this function as a:
Template for orders that are made regularly
    Search criterion
    Prerequisites
Your User Interface (UI) Configuration Manager has given you shopping list authorization.
A shopping list must have at least one item in it to serve as a search criterion.
To display all items in a shopping list, the search criterion must be reset before the shopping list is selected.
This is because the search UI treats the shopping list as a search criterion. Consequently, any other active search criterion reduces the items displayed to a subset of all the items in the shopping list.
To display all shopping lists, including empty ones, on the Shopping List tab page, one of the following conditions must be met:
No other search criterion has been entered
    The search has been reset
    Activities
When a shopping list is selected as a search criterion, the system restricts the search by removing any items not included in the list from the search result.
Items can be added or removed from shopping lists in the shopping cart preview.
    Note
Depending on authorization, users can modify either their own shopping lists or those of others.
This function provides search strategies for locating products, displaying product item details, and transferring items to procurement applications such as the cart. The Search User Interface (UI) can be configured to meet individual user requirements.
    Prerequisites
The User Interface (UI) Configuration Manager is responsible for configuring the search UI.
If you cannot access some of the functions and features listed below, check that your user has been correctly configured. For more information, see User-Specific Configuration: Product Procurement
    Features

List View (for displaying search results)
Displays results with images and a URL to item details
Context View (for displaying search results)
Navigation up and down the list is possible and item images are also available.
In the List View and in the Context View, the following functions are available:
    Add To Cart
Compare for price comparisons. For more information, see Compare Function
    Cart Preview

    Back to Search Result
    Add to Shopping List

    Add to Shopping List
    Remove from Shopping List
Current search parameters are displayed on the Search Criteria tab page.
Shopping Lists can be maintained on the Shopping Lists tab page.

  • Unable to add Item to Shopping Cart in SRM-MDM Catalog

    Hi Guys,
I am using SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0, MDM 7.1 and SRM 7.0. I have done all the configurations in SRM as well as in Portal like External Web Service creation, Assigning Catalog in Organisational Plan, UI Config and OCI mapping.
I am able to see catalog on SRM-MDM web dynpro UI; however I am not able to select any item in the Catalog (the Checkbox is grayed out) and also I am not able to change the Quantity of any Item (by default it is 1). The Action column is also blank for all the items.
In the Catalog, both Select and Quantity Columns are in disabled mode. I am not able to edit their values.
I have tried all options in UI Config but no luck. Request you to please suggest if something needs to be done with the Config or I need to apply some SAP note.

  • Individuall shopping lists for each User - SRM-MDM 3.0

    Hello everybody,
I want to implement a SAP SRM-MDM scenario with SRM-MDM 3.0. The SRM-MDM 3.0 has the poissiblity to create shopping carts for every 'MDM User'. But that's not enough for our users.
Is it possible to create different shopping lists for each user?
I already use the setting: sl_user with the attribute SY-UNAME but it doesn't work

@everybody: Thanks for your fast reply!
@Girish: Yes, I think we have the same problem
@Padhi: It is not a prictically solution to create every SAP SRM User (3.000) in the SAP SRM-MDM Catalog. In comparison to other catalog systems (e.g. heiler) this have to be a standard feature
@Kanth: That's correct, you can activate the shopping list option for the MDM User. But the MDM User only defines the rights and masks. For the MDM it is not necessary to login with your SAP / SAP SRM Username.
Note [1153525|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1kZSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1153525] describe the long-needed function in SRM-MDM. But it seems, that this feature only work in SRM-MDM 2.0.
Maybe anybody know anything else about this problem... I'm thankful about every hint!

  • Enable Shopping Lists for every SRM-MDM Catalog User individually

    Hi,
As per SAP Note 1153525, I am trying to pass the username through OCI parameter 'sl_user' with value 'SY-UNAME' and type SAP field.  When I try to access the catalog through SRM, I get 'Logon Failed' error. Not sure if I am missing anything because if I use the normal 'username' parameter I am able to access the catalog content without any issues.
Also while using 'sl_user', I viewed the source code of the HTML doc and the username is correctly passing in the outbound OCI parameters.
    Please advise.
    Kind Regards,
    Lalit

    Hi Lalit,
Compare the URL passed by you with the below one
    http://demosystem:57100/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM?sap-locale=EN&HOOK_URL=&mask=&namedSearch=&username=guest&password=guest&catalog=SRMMDM&server=demosystem&datalanguage=EN
Also note that the user you are passing should have Catalog User role assigned to it.
    Kindly update us...

  • MDM Shopping Lists

    HI
Our current MDM set up is allowing all SRM users to be logged into MDM as one user "User1". This enables all users to see each others shopping lists ammend and delete them.
To get around this we have set up individual users in the MDM Server / repository
and in SRM SPRO (call structure) the "username" parameter
as SY-USR type SAP Field is set.
Is there anything else that we need to do as with this set up because when we log onto MDM we get another log on screen into MDM ( even if we log into this screen the system does nothing)
We know that uisng the templates in SRM is another option but this does not account for catalogue updates.
Thanks you in adavnce for any help advise given.
    Regards
    Yogesh Mistry

    Hi,
you should check that all the Users from the SRM are correctly created with the same username and
the password is empty in the Console for this users!
Also the SRM-MDM users has to have the Catalog User Role.
Please check the catalog with direct URL call and not from the SRM. If this works, than the parameters in the SRM SPRO has to be checked or the ITS.

  • MDM - Shopping List Acess to Users

    Hi,
Please help with the following situation:
User A - Catalog XPTO , with catalog- named-search AA
User B - Catalog XIOW, with catalog- named-search BB
User A, creates a Shopping List, called BTW that is shared.
User B sees the Shopping List BTW and the articles that are listed are not contained in his named-search.
In this situation, User B can't buy the itens of this Shopping List, as they are not part of their catalog BB.
How can we  cut the acess of these itens, for user B?
I mean, User B can't buy them, so there must be any error ou any way of not showing them... Do you know any?
    Thanks in advance,
    Maria

    Hi Maria.
Catalog Search UI and the Shopping Lists functionality function separately as they are designed in such a way(Irrespective of named search provided to it). Since the other user has shared his shopping lists so it will be visible to the other users as well.
The named search functionality works as per the functionality only for the Search UI. you can ask SAP to provide this functionality as there is no configuration settings available to restrict it.
But still can you try the below workaround and see if you can restrict the items for the shared shoping lists item.
Login to the Console and the MDM repository-> Navigate to Admin Node -> Roles-> Select the appropriate role for the provided user(User B) -> Navigate to the tab "Tables and Fields"
You will find an entry for "Named Searches", In the constraints column, you can add the named search in the available list which you want to restrict. Save the changes.
Now launch the catalog for the User B and verify if you can able to see those records for that shopping lists shared by the user.
    Best Regards

  • SRM/MDM Related Product Setup

    Hi,
We are trying to do a POC in SRM/MDM Catalog setup. The requirement is to setup a list products should be purchased when a main product is selected in the catalog.
When Procuring catalog item 1, either the user should select catalog item 2, 3 & 4 or when the user adds the product Product 1 then Product 2, 3 & 4 should be added to "add shopping cart" or MDM should force the user to select the related products.
    Any thoughts,

  • Quantity tab is non-editable under ITEM VIEW screen in SRM- MDM Catalogue

    HI,
Implementation of  SRM MDM Catalogue 2.0 SP04 (5.5.64.82) .Need inputs on  SRM MDM Catalogue>shooping cart view >ITEM DETAIL screen
Following two tabs  "Add to Shopping Cart" or "Add to Shopping List"  are not working under "Item View" screen when user trying to add items  by using these two tabs. Some  "java.lang.NullPointerException" error is populating when user clicks on any of these two tabs. Detailed screen shot attached for your understanding
Also, "Quantity" tab is disabled  and seen as non editable field  - (which is greyed out) - we can not place any value into it.
But the "Add to Shopping Cart" or "Add to Shopping List" tabs are working fine under other  screens  views like  "context view" & "List view" .
Seems like it is a product Bug
Need your valuable inputs at earliest as our go-live date is approaching very near

    Hi,
we are running SRM 5 with catalog SRM-MDM 2 last sp
We are trying to add two fields in the list view and in the shopping cart preview, so in the UIsearch webdynpro we introduce the field Order unit in both views.
We do the changes with the user used in the call structure in SRM.
But the new fields are not being showed in screen, no changes are being interpreted.
we are saving in the search UI,
    any idea about this??
    Thanks

    Hi,
Please check on the UI under the General Tab that you have selected "yes" to - Show Price Based Quantity. If it's selected as "No" it won't display the Oder Unit on the list view.

The DBMS Server property defines the network identification string of the DBMS instance / machine / server that is used by the DBMSspecific client on the MDM Server machine to connect to the DBMS. The brand of DBMS on which the repository is running is shown in the DBMS Type property.
NOTE ►► When you mount two MDM repositories with the same name (but located on different DBMS Servers) on the same MDM Server, MDM distinguishes them in the Console Hierarchy pane by appending the name of the DBMS Server in angular brackets to the repository name (e.g. u201Crepository <server>u201D).

  • Is use of flat file in SRM-MDM catalog search UI possible ?

    Hello,
When user looks for materials inside SRM-MDM catalog (using search user interface), search is done manually with free form or drill down search.
Then, among the search result, user has to select items he wants to add to his shopping cart and finally transfer those items from his shopping cart overview inside SRM.
Is it possible to automate this user selection using for exemple a flat file uploading (or any other way you could know) ?
This flat file will have material number (or service), supplier code and quantity (no more information).
The aim of the request is to help requester to not have to select each item one by one (in the search result) knowing that :
    -  SC will have more than a hundred items,
    - delivery time and price (for example) must be checked in MDM, being the master data reference
    - materials (or service) to order are received by requester via a flat file without any information about prices, so i cannot upload my flat file directly into SRM because file missing data must come from MDM.
With this process, user should have only to transfer items automatically selected.
Could you please share your advises ?
    We use SAP MDM 5.5.
    Regards.
    Laurent.

  • SRM MDM UoM

    Hi
I am loading a new MDM SRM Catalog repository with a supplier file. The supplier items are for hire i.e. computers, cabins, etc.
We want to load the catalog items that can be hired/leased. However in the search interface we can only select a quanttiy to add to the Shopping cart. i.e. we can add quantity of 3 computers. However for example we require to be able to order a quantity of items for a fix time period. i.e. we want to setup the catalog so that the end user can order 3 computers for 5 weeks and therefore the total price is calculated based on the weekly rate and quantity ordered.. We are not sure how to handle this in SRM MDM. In Requisite we had the items in the catalog and then created an 'Attribute Matrix' to allow the user to specify a Quantity of an item AND a period of time(which the end user could select while searching the catalog).
Any ideas how to set this up in SRM MDM. Upon loading the supplier file in the search interface we can only select the Quantity before adding to the shopping cart but cannot specifiy the time period
    Thanks
    Ben.

    Hi Ben,
in this case I would advice to create your own EForm application, where you can set up a time frame for the item. This would be the easiest way to get a solution here.
