Should calling party name showed up in case it had been previously stored in PAB?

Hi,
I have a question related to Personal Address Book
Cluster version CUCM8.6
- End users have PAB confiugred
- can save entries in PAB
- can dial out from PAB
In case call comes in - from a caller number had already been stored in user's PAB - should the name also showed up on the LCD screen of the calling party as it is stored in his/her PAB?
Thanks,
Tibor

No, there's no number to name resolution feature in CUCM in any version.

    Hi,
Are there any options to show entity names in Logical Model as they were typed in? Both 2.0 and 3.0 will display "Customer" as all caps "CUSTOMER".
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
you need to change the used notation - all caps is used for Barker notation

  • Workstations not showing up in Console one (had been deleted before)

We're having a problem at the school I work at. I had installed Zenworks on
a particular set of computers and they became registered in Console One. We
then had some problems relating to other software and decided to take
Zenworks off of these computers. This was just poor troubleshooting. We
deleted these workstations from Console one as well. We've since determined
that Zenworks was never the problem and reinstalled it on the those
desktops. Unfortunately, the machines aren't re-registering within Console
One and will not show up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Calls going out displaying extra digits to called party

I have calls going out of one of our offices that have extra digits appended to the end. Instead of caller id showing the 10 digits of the calling party, it shows 15 repeating the last 5 digits again. If my number was 1234567890, it goes out 123456789067890. Obviously that looks strange and the called party often times doesn't answer. I've been comparing with some of our other sites but I don't see anything obvious. I'm new to voice, I've looked at the dial peer and translation rule on our gateway for that site. Where else should I be looking for this problem. AT&T says they aren't sending the extra digits.
    Thanks

Here is the log from a test call after enabling the debugs. Sequence# 095713 includes the extra digits. Thanks for the help.

  • Force Customer (Party) Names to Uppercase

Hi, I'm currently trying to force all customer (party) names to uppercase, even if they have been entered as mix-case: i.e. Oracle will become ORACLE.
    EBS: 12.1.3
To try and accomplish this, I'm doing the following:
    - Login as Trading Community Manager Reponsibility -> Trading Community -> Administration -> DQM -> Attributes and Transformations.
    - I apply the EXACT transformation to the "Party Name" in the "Party Entity" tab.
    - If I click on the Overview link on the left, it'll say there are transformations to be applied.
    - In the Oracle Forms as the Trading Community Manager I run the following concurrent programs:
    - "DQM Staging Program" with the Staging Command as STAGE_ALL_DATA.
    - Then, I run the "DQM Synchronization Program" afterwards.
    - I then log in as Receivables Manager Responsibility -> Customers.
    - I search for a customer but the name is in the original mixed-case and not uppercase as expected.
Have I missed out on any steps?
    Cheers,
    Sean

I'm starting to understand a bit more about TCA and DQM and it appears that what I'm doing is only applied to records matching during a search.
Hence, a broader question: Is it possible to cleanse the customers data to make them all uppercase?

  • 8841 alerting called party display

    Hi All,
I have a question on 8841 phone with CUCM 10.5, when I call any number it is suffixing server name like XXXX@<servername and it is showing on 8841 calling party phone. Where can I make changes so that I can see only number

I had to open a TAC case and came to know that developers are still working on this issue:
FYI - Here is the BUG ID: CSCut12879

  • Someone's wireless name showed up on my airport list

I click on the name and it required a password.
Is this listed only because a neighbor is within range or has someone been able to get to my computer through the airport. I did have a password when I originally followed the Utility or Administer app directions.
Also, how do I change the name I gave my airport. Tried going back to the Utility. The one I used would be to obvious to a neighbor.
I have not used the airport since this other "name" showed up, and removed any files I suspected were airport related. I would like to reconnect to the airport, but not until I know if it's safe.
I tried understanding the Knowledge Base on security passwords, but I couldn't get passed the "WEP" or "HEX", etc. Article assumed a reader knows more than I do.
iBook, 2 USB, Firewire, G3   Mac OS 9.2.x

I agree, all you're seeing here is the presence of someone else's network that's within range. Not to worry.
The name given to your network is a setting that's held by your wireless router. If you're using an Apple Airport base station, then... well, I'm going to take a shot here, because I've never used one. I think what you need to do is to load up the Airport Setup Assistant application, which is located in your Applications/Utilities folder. You should be able to change the network name (and password, if you like) there. There is also an Airport Admin Utility that allows for advanced configuration of the base station. In either case, these applications will talk to the base station for you to make the changes.
If you're using a third-party router, like me, then you probably need to use your web browser to access the router's configuration pages, log in to the router with its administrator password, and make your change there. You may see the network name referred to as the "SSID", it's the same thing.
You may also find another setting to "hide" your network's SSID. I did this with mine. The router won't advertise its presence then, meaning that when you view the list of available networks, yours won't be listed. It's still there to be used, but to get to it you have to choose "Other" and type in the name. (Once you're connected, it will appear on the list.) This isn't a robust security feature, anyone who is sufficiently determined can still find your network, but it's good for discouraging casual snoops.
There's one more setting you might be interested in, and that's the network name of your own computer. To change this, go to System Preferences and choose the Sharing icon. The Computer Name setting is up at the top.
    Hope this helps.

  • Nokia Asha 200 - How to Display Calling Party Phon...

I have bought Nokia Asha 200, the major problem I am facing is that when someone is calling me, his Contact Name shows on Screen, but from which phone number he is calling not shown. Almost all of my contacts have multiple phone numbers, but in this case I am fed up, unable to find the phone number of calling party.
My Nokia X6-00 and 6680 shows both Name and Phone Number of Calling Party but this phone has no such facility and I consider, this as biggest shortcoming in this phone.
Can someone help me to find some solution to my problem?

On S40 devices it shows only the Contact Name... You can only make out whether the call is made from Home (Land line) or from Mobile by looking at the Icon at the Left hand side of the Name that appears, provided the Contacts are saved correctly. You may check the No. from which you received the call by going to the LOG..But that is after the call is completed.

  • Hi i want to exit the program if no file found by FM call file_get name

    HI

now i want to write a code that if there is no file then the program should exit and not execute further but with no error mesage
pls suggest a code for this
    regards
    Arora

    Hi Nishant,
Try to do as indicated in the following code below
    FORM validate_app_file USING  fp_file  TYPE FILENAME-FILEINTERN.
      data : l_fname(60).
      CALL FUNCTION 'FILE_GET_NAME'
        EXPORTING
          LOGICAL_FILENAME = P_FILE
          OPERATING_SYSTEM = SY-OPSYS
        IMPORTING
          FILE_NAME        = L_FNAME
        EXCEPTIONS
          FILE_NOT_FOUND   = 1
          OTHERS           = 2.
      IF SY-SUBRC = '0'.
OPEN DATASET  L_FNAME FOR INPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
        IF sy-subrc NE 0.
          MESSAGE s007 DISPLAY LIKE c_e.
        ELSE.
          CLOSE DATASET l_fname.
        ENDIF.
      ENDIF.
Also find below the parameters for the function module and thier use
    Interface of function module FILE_GET_NAME
    IMPORT parameter
    Function
    CLIENT
Logical file names can be client-specific. Here you can specify the client to be used. The current client as stored in the system field SY-MANDT is used as default.
    LOGICAL_FILENAME
Here you specify the logical filename. (Uppercase letters must be used!)
    OPERATING_SYSTEM
Here you can specify the operating system for which to generate the appropriate file name. The application server's operating system as stored in the system field SY-OPSYS is used as default.
    PARAMETER_1
    PARAMETER_2
Here you can specify values that substitute the placeholders <PARAM_1> and <PARAM_2> in physical file names and paths.
    USE_PRESENTATION
    _SERVER
Specifies that the presentation server's operating system be used as the basis for generating a platform-specific file name.
    WITH_FILE_EXTENSION
Specifies that the logical file name's data format be used as filename extension.
    USE_BUFFER
Specifies that the customizing tables for converting platform-independent file names be buffered in main memory.
    EXPORT parameter
    Function
    EMERGENCY_FLAG
If the returned value is not SPACE, then no physical path has been found for the logical filename under the current operating system. In this case the path specified in the profile parameter DIR_GLOBAL will be used as physical path.
    FILE_FORMAT
Returns the data format defined for the logical file name. You can use this parameter to decide in which mode to open the file. It is also required as a parameter for DOWNLOAD of files to the presentation server.
    FILE_NAME
Returns the fully instantiated platform-specific file name and path.
    Exceptions
    Function
    FILE_NOT_FOUND
Raised if logical file name is not defined.
    OTHERS
    Raised if other errors occur.
    Analyse your problem

  • Calling Party No Display in SIP Trunk

    Hi All,
We are integrating the CUCM & CME via SIP trunk where we facing the problem in Caller ID.
In CUCM & CME we have 4 digit extension. It will transformed to 8 digit Enterprise number while calling from/to cucm & cme. Once the call answered it displays the 4 digit extension of called party instead of 8 digit enterprise no.
Hope it's updating the Phone caller Id based on "P-Asserted Identity" in SIP messages . My requirements is it should display 8 digit no & Name.
    Flow :   Phone --> CUCM --> SIP Trunk --> CME --> Phone.
    Any Suggestions !!!

    Hi All,
I just tried with SIP Profiles on the dial peer to remove the Remote-party ID.
When call initiated from CME to CUCM , "Remote Party Id"  is removed in Invite. When CUCM reply with 180 ringing it contains "Remote Party Id" but sip profile not having any effect.
This to avoid the displaying CUCM internal number series in CME instead of DID.
Can you advice how it can be achieve ?
    Configuration
    voice class sip-profiles 10
    request ANY sip-header Remote-Party_ID remove
    response ANY sip-header Remote-Party-ID remove
    dial-peer voice 100 voip
    destination-pattern 91T
    session protocol sipv2
    session target ipv4:<ip address>
    voice-class sip profiles 10
    Call Flow
SCCP Phone -- CME --- SIP -- CUCM --- SCCP Phone.
    Thanks in Advance

  • UCCX Get Calling Party info

    Hi Expert,
I've the below requirement, caller_X calling in to the main line/script_A from the PSTN, the script routed the calls to the agent_A. Here the calling party is caller_X, and the called party is script_A (mainline number). When the agent_A completed the calls, he/she would like to transfer the current call to another CTI_RP/script_B, which handled by UCCX as well.
In such cases, the calling party should will display as agent_A or the caller_X? If i want to retain the calling party as caller_X, can i use the "Get Call Contact Info" calling party setting? and if i want to display the agent_A who transfer the call, can i use the "last redirected numberd"
    TIA

Ok, I think I understand what you are saying.  Here is what I think, in my own words, but copied from another conversation I had with someone who e-mailed me directly about the same topic.
It turns out that a transfer is consultative, meaning that, the Agent truly is the one calling the script, up until the point at which they complete the transfer. You are simply checking the Calling Number too soon in the script not giving the transfer enough time to complete.
To prove that this is actually the case in your situation, you could simply create a new script to do test transfer into and it could look like this:
    Variables
    String calling_number = ""
    Script
    Start
    Accept (--Triggering Contact--)
calling_number = Get Call Contact Info (--Triggering Contact--, Calling Number)
    Play Prompt (--Triggering Contact--, S[calling_number])
    Play Prompt (--Triggering Contact--, S[321])
calling_number = Get Call Contact Info (--Triggering Contact--, Calling Number)
    Play Prompt (--Triggering Contact--, S[calling_number])
    End
When you go to setup your transfer, you will hear the system play back your Agent phone number.  Then you will hear "three, two, one".  You need to complete the transfer before the count down ends.  If you do, then your caller will hear the second calling number playback which should be their own.  However, if you wait all the way through count down and the second playback you will hear your Agent number twice.  Note that the key thing in the script, is that I am "asking" for the calling number again with the Get Call Contact Info step after the transfer completes. You have a few options here:
    1. Train your Agents to transfer quicker2. Put a delay in the beginning of the script after the answer but before the Get Call Contact Info step3. Move the Get Call Contact Info step further down in the script closer to where you need to use it
Hope that helps.  Let me know if you need more help, and I'll see what I can do.

  • Caller ID Name in Response Groups

Hi all, seeing if there is any progress with this as it seems like the most recent talk about this was well over a year ago.
I have Lync 2013 Enterprise Voice routing calls to my call center with response groups. The back end SIP server is Asterisk with caller ID enabled at the SIP provider and on Asterisk.
When calls get routed to our call center, only the phone number appears in the notification toast. However, the caller ID Name appears correctly only after the call gets answered. I would like it to show the name on the notification--while the call is ringing.
It's good that it shows up when answered, but we need it to display while it is ringing as well. This is a simple phone system function, why wouldn't Lync support this?

    Hi,
It should be a known issue and there is no solution so far. Hope it will be repaired with the nest CU.

  • Calling Party translation internal and external

    Hello all!
I have a problem regarding the external phone number mask and some special requests.
Basically is the feature "external phone number mask" enabled and in use.
Now we have the following request:
Several phones are member of a hunt list, with the extension 555. They want now two groups, one should show internal and external the 555. And the other one should show internal the 555 and external the "normal" extension of the user.
    Overview, showing the numbers:
    Phone group 1:
    external: 555
    internal: 555
    Phone group 2:
    external: line extension
    internal: 555
Used is CUCM 8.6 and MGCP-Gateways to the PSTN.
Has anyone an idea to configure that?
    Thanks a lot!
    Kind regards,
    DrMxxxxx

Ah, got it. Well here's how you do it then:
Create a Partition for e.g. PT-CallingParty and put it in CSS-CallingParty.
Create a Calling Party Transformation Mask as following:
    4912345XXX with PT-CallingParty
Check Mark "Use Calling Party's External Phone Number Mask"
Under Calling Party Transformation Mask put "4912345555"
    Now, for phones:
Go under each phone and under Number Presentation Transformation Uncheck "Use Device pool Calling Party Transformation CSS" and from dropdown just above it Select " CSS-CallingParty" (Apply config, I will suggest BAT for this if you have multiple phones)
Once done that, For User A put External Mask as 4912345555
Whereas for User B put 4912345456
Let me know how that works out for you.

  • Z10 pairing 2013 Toyota entune, Z10 caller-id Name, Z10 add in-coming call to Contacts, Z10 latest bootleg s/w Rel 10.1.0.2006 now, Z10 visual vm

    July 3, 2013 :
    (1)  Spoke to Toyota Technical Support today about 2013 Toyota entune, had them gooogle "wiki BlackBerry Z10" had them, then, to click 3rd one down on google listing : " BlackBerry - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia " had them, then, see picture of my BlackBerry Z10 and under it on the right side 5th item down see and read to me : " Units shipped 200 million "
Toyota states they are working on their 2013 Toyota entune included for 36 months which integrates iPhone V and Samsung Galaxy Android but no BlackBerry to Navigation, SmartPhone usage, e-mail to Z10, read e-mail while driving Z10, and Contacts with address to extend 100 maximum limitation into 2013 Toyota Navigation on-board silly memory, USB support to Z10 with the USB plug provided, POI points of interest on Navigation where you click it and it dials the phone number on record of every business selected by 200 categories gas dentist doctor pet doctor groceries bakery restaurant shopping mall motel camping grounds RV hook-up etc.
    (2) T-Mobile currently supports 10.1.0.2006 but I have loaded on previous BlackBerry products bootleg updated s/w releases which worked perfectly well and solved many of my previous issues on the 10 or so previous BlackBerry products I’ve owned since BlackBerry became the choice for users where security is the main purpose for business users, not mp3 listening to music for Apple which is just an over-priced under-technology product with lots of apps all of which I am complaining about in this post.
I’d like to do that again now, and see if any of these issues we all are having are being worked on in the least by BlackBerry.  Where can I get instructions of where to download whatever is the bootleg people know does fix at least 1 of these issues, please ?
    (3) In-coming calls show only phone number.  Never had a BlackBerry like that, ever.  Understand this is a known bug, while others waste your time with swipe down from Phone App and Click Settings and Click one of the 13 settings in there such as SMART DIALING and do something with the 3 area codes local calls where I live and something with National Number Length also not explained where it can be corrected doing that.  I need to see the caller-id name and number, some folks refer to as Deluxe Caller-ID.  Number and name, not just the number.  No idea who is calling me, ever.
    (4) Take in-coming call and press the number in the PHONE LOG on Phone App, and it calls the customer back.  I want to save the number to CONTACTS and either choose a contact to add it to, or have multiple listings for the same contact where I see one has a number and one just the e-mail I added.  I am still not satisfied with the add new contact every time I add via e-mail address when I already have the e-mail address and want to see it.  But, at least I can add contacts to the several thousand I deal with and at least have them in there twice.  That’s a start.
    (5) Visual Voice Mail, I am now paying for at T-Mobile.  And, I have programmed it on on the Z10.  What is Visual vm ?  If I have it, where do I see it ?  What is it the Z10 provides on visual vm ?
    (6) There must be an updated manual from the lackluster manual I downloaded when I upgraded from the BlackBerry Bold 9780 to Z10 which goes into a lot more detail than the one I downloaded, printed and went through to get to where I’m at, which is
Still after many months now, having a Z10 phone which :
    (1) does nothing with 2013 Toyota entune ?
    (2) must have a bootleg solid s/w release I can load with instructions ?
    (3) in-coming caller phone number and Name, not just # ?
    (4) Phone Log App click last in-coming call and Add to Contacts ?
    (5) Visual vm turned on both carrier and settings and not seeing it ?
    (6) latest manual on Z10 which someone surely has updated to address these issues
Anyone else having these issues items (1) through (6) ?
