Hi,
When you use intermedia search, you get a Search Result page, for
every found item, shows excatly where the item is situated
plus some extra information, like:
Content Area: Common, Folder: Human Resources, Category: Report,
Author: PORTAL30
Is there any possibility to show this for the item found when
searching by category or perspective?

If the document is stored on a file system, then I would replace the message body with a PL/SQL document which includes links to the files as straightforward URLs. There would be no need to include them in the Workflow in any way. For example, I recently worked with a client where all the (file) attachments made within eBusiness Suite were then migrated into Oracle Universal Content Management and the attachment was replaced with a URL to the new document. Any notifications now just reference the URL link to the document within the document management system in an HTML notification. While the processing is going on, the user is given the list of files that exist as attachments, but no links because the document is being processed by the management system.
If the attachments are going to be stored in Workflow as documents, you won't be able to change the display name though - display name is set for the attribute on the message, not for each specific notification. Changing the value of the display name for the message would impact all notifications that use that message, which isn't what you want.
What you need is to dynamically build the notification (either using PL/SQL or OA Framework) and include a list of attachments in the notification. This may be a direct link to the document (either in a document management system or on a file system somewhere) that you can render as a URL, or a link to code that can retrieve the document from the database and serve that to the user. This is not a straightforward piece of work.
If this is purely internal, you might be better off having a custom form / screen which displays the different documents, and link to that from the notification. Or you could link to a standard form for the transaction and have the users pick up the attachments directly from the transaction.

Query to show items not used in last 12 months
Can anyone help with a query or is there a was in B1 to pull a report of item that have not had activity in the last 12 months?
I drilled into one item that I knew we are still using. The date on my inactive report was 01/01/07. This is what was displayed in inventory posting.

Restrict Item Category Item Creation using Reference Only
Hi All
Here is the scenario, I want "Restrict Item Category Item Creation using Reference Only"
a.Retrieve document number VBELN from sales order header table VBAK for the current order. Check if the sales order is of type ZAB referencing field AUART in table VBAK.
note : Any changes to existing sales order "ZAB" will be performed in thesame sales order type(ZAB) in VA02 transaction.
b.If step a is passed, check internal table structure for sales order item level as XVBAP-PSTYV for possible item category values of 'ZDEF' for the entered line item and document number (XVBAP-VBELN).
c.If the cancel/change item category values are found on the line item, check internal table structure for document flow (XVBFA) if the cancel/change item category was created as reference:
i.Check if entry exists in XVBFA for the preceding document number field VBELV with value equal to value in the subsequent document number field VBELN. This value must equal the current sales document number VBELN in table VBAK.
ii.The above check must be done in conjunction with the following check:
1.Check if entry exists in XVBFA for the preceding document type field VBTYP_V with value C equals subsequent document type field VBTYP_N with value of C.
d.Once the above checks are passed, collect the item number from internal table XVBAP (Field: POSNR) for the change/cancel item category line item added to the sales order.
e.Check if the item number retrieved in the previous step exists in table VBAP (Field: POSNR) with an item category that is not part of the list of cancel/change item category defined in step b.
f. Check if the item number collected in the previous step exists in the subsequent item number (Field : POSNN) in internal table XVBFA for the row that passed checks in steps b and c.
g.If item number exists, check if this subsequent item number field equals the preceding item number field value (Field: POSNV) in table XVBFA.
h.If step g fails, generate an error message stating that the user needs to the create the cancel/change item category line item with reference to the original line item and do not allow the user to proceed with the transaction.
i.If step g succeeds, allow the user to proceed with the transaction.
can any one send me the logic for this scenario.

I have a UK apple mac and im trying to use mirroring so when searching google, ebay, writting document it shows up on my tv but i dont have the option of 'Mirroring' when i click on the rectangular box in lower right hand corner. Anyone have advice on how I can do this?

It also requires the computer to be using wi-fi.

Under TV Shows there used to be favorates, search and so one. for some reason, just "My TV Shows" shows up but nothing else. I can't look up top shows, look at my fav shows, or even search up shows any more. I restored my apple tv factory settings but it was still missing. Pior to doing that I pulled the power cord and reset my networks... and still noting, please help....

Yes there are quite a few similar reports at the moment, I haven't experienced the problem, yet others in the UK have, so we're not quite sure what criteria determines whether you are affected by this. I haven't seen any solutions so far, so it may just be a case of waiting to see if it's repaired or whether the rest of us are going to see the same thing. -
Why to use Item Attribute with Event in case of some controls

When i saw the example of MenuBar , i observed that we can get the data of the MenuBar clciked using a Event.Item@label .
I am having a question here , please tell me why Flex Framework is designed in such a way that getting data from the Controls is different for different controls .
I mean to ask why is it different in ncase of a MenuBar we have to use Event.item@label .

Thanks in advance .It looks like you probably have ProductID setup as your key attribute. The key attribute has to be unique as it defines the granularity of your dimension. So based on the data you have shown ItemID should possibly be the key attribute.

MonikaSo are you saying that this behaviour is different in v1.6?Yes. Otherwise the PPR stuff wouldn't work when those requests referenced uncommitted session state.
You mean, "will NOT be able to ..."No, it will be able to see the value of the item (in uncommitted session state). That's the change from 1.6.
What is an example of a "session-state committing source method"? Code that not only sets the source of the item for display but as a side-effect cause update_cache_with_write to occur for that item or for any other item(s). For example a PL/SQL Function source type that returns the source value and also does :P1_ITEM := 'value'; .

I have just bought an appleTV. I can't find the mirroring button on my toolbar, however I can mirror using Itunes, I have searched in systempreferences -> Displays but it won't show me the Device. I have already tried restarting the router, appleTv and Imac. What am I doing wrong?

Why is "Show Items from Subfolders" disabled during search?
When viewing a folder with many subfolders, the "Show Items from Subfolders" command is avaiable and I can view all (10000+) files as a "flat" list. However, if I type a keyword in the toolbar's Search box, the "Show Items from Subfolders" command is disabled. That's a big problem for me when, for example, I want to see all photos that have "skiing" in either the filename or in any of the keywords without having to open each subfolder.
Is there a reason the Subfolders option is disabled? Is there a workaround?

Checking the box searches the subfolders (which also happens if you enter the search time in the Search box on the toolbar), but the results are still displayed as folders that you need to navigate into (rather than displaying all the files that were found in the "flat" format which is what the "Show Items from Subfolders" menu command does). -
Show items from subfolders won't stick when searching (CS5)
For some reason after selecting a folder, and making sure "show items from subfolders" is selected, when I do a search in that folder, "show items from subfolders" gets deselected. Any idea why this might happen? I'm pretty sure it has worked normally in the past.

Well, in that case, it sounds like this is causing the problem. If you can't read the cache, then you probably can't read an index either.
Without knowing anything about your computer system, I'd suggest that you need to check for general account permission setup problems before looking at Bridge specifically. -
Show Attribute Business-Category in Outlook Mask

I need to display some further company organizational information in the Outlook Mask of each user.
Therefore, I like to use business-category Attribute, which is filled with one information. But after editing the template editor and using that attribute "business-category" the information is not shown in the user's Outlook mask (I used a multi-value
listbox).
We are running on Exchange Server 2010 SP3.

I just doublechecked my settings: The field in Template Editor is set to "Business-Category".
In Active Directory I configured the attribute in two ways:
1. Via ADAC and added a value to "businessCategory".
2. In PowerShell with set ADUser -Replace @{businessCategory=$var}
Furthermore, I always checked that the value was added successfully & I did already try the Online Mode.

Sorry for my delay. I noticed that you have already checked the value is added successfully in Online mode. Thus, do you mean the issue only happens in Outlook Cached mode?
If that is the case, please create a new Outlook profile or download Offline Address Book manually to have a try.

Has anybody experienced missing sent emails after updating their iPhone to IOS 5.0? Mail composed on phone appears to send but is never delivered nor does it show in sent items. Using Exchange 2010. Any thoughts??

Shopping cart creation category dropdown selecting the most used category

While creating a shopping cart one of our most used category gets selected by default before we start doing anything.
Everytime we have to change the category.
Is there a way that will become blank and we can select from the dropdown or the find list.
Kindly suggest.

BBP_F4_READ_ON_ENTRY
Use this BAdI if you do not just want to restrict the favorites and values list but also want to select this yourself.
BBP_F4_MEM_UPDATE
BBP_F4_SAVE_DB
The following three modules are used to process the values per data element:
BBP_GET_<data element>_F4
Supplies a list of all values and user-specific favorites. You can influence how this module works using BAdI BBP_F4_READ_ON_ENTRY and BBP_F4_READ_ON_EXIT.
BBP_UPD_<data element>_FAV
Updates the favorites in internal function group storage. You can influence how this module works using BAdI BBP_F4_MEM_UPDATE.
BBP_SET_<data element>_FAV
Writes the current favorites to the database. You can influence how this module behaves using BAdI BBP_F4_SAV_DB.
Use
Only implement this BAdI and only program the appropriate method if you want to restrict or augment the value set of standard selection.
If you determine favorites using a BAdI, the standard modules do not process the favorites further. Warning: If, deviating from standard selection, you determine the list of favorites yourself using a BAdI, you have to temporarily store the favorites in the methods of the BAdIs and carry out final saving to the database yourself.
Standard settings
If data is added via the methods, no check of this data occurs. The check has to occur in the methods themselves.
The interfaces of the methods of the BAdI are (almost) always the same:
IV_LANGUAGE
Language for determination of the texts
IV_USER
User for which the values are requested
ET_<data element>_LIST
The list of valid values changed by you
EV_X_FAV_PROCESSED
Use "X" to stipulate that you have filled the favorites list. Only present if favorites table exists for relevant data element.

Changed favorites list for user IV_USER. Only exists if favorites table exists for relevant data element.
The methods have to fill the structures of the transfer tables completely. Incompletely filled structures can cause followup errors and unforseen consequences.
Activities
Reading of value lists and favorites using function module BBP_GET_<data element>_F4 occurs as follows:
1. First the BAdI BBP_F4_READ_ON_ENTRY is called. It is possible to fill the input list (and favorites) with default values.
a) In the case of default values, exactly these values are returned to the initiator. No further processing or check occurs and the module is exited.
b) If no default values exist, the standard selection is carried out.
2. Before the values are transferred externally you can restrict or augment the number of hits using the BAdI BBP_F4_READ_ON_EXIT. You can therefore delete entries from or add entries to the input list or favorites list.
3. BAdI BBP_F4_READ_ON_EXIT provides an individual method for each data element for which an input help and/or favorites table exists. These are listed below.
If you use this method, you need to indicate processing using the parameter EV_X_LIST_PROCESSED or EV_X_FAV_PROCESSED. Otherwise the selection is lost.

Possible to reassign catalog items to another category?

First of all I want to say a BIG THANK YOU ALL!!! Here SRM users, gurus, specialists, newbies can find a real great community! Good to perfect answers and solutions, really fast reactions, very kind people, ... Hopefully I will be able to give some things back soon (besides rewarding with points) as I'm learning more and more from day to day from you all!
But... I have one more question: is it possible (and if yes how) to reassign catalog items to another category. We're on CCM 2.0 SP03 and couldn't find such a function until now. Is there a report we can run? Or do we have to delete and rebuild the content again? We have some manually added items and would like to have them move to another catalog category.
Any useful help will of course be rewarded with points!

Our category structure has the following structure:

In CCM CAT (catalog authoring tool) it is possible to manually add some catalog items (material). They're assigned to the category (node) you're actually in. We have accidentally manually put (created) some materials this way in node 2 directly (yes, that's possible) and want to move those items to node 3.
Those manually added items are not coming from a supplier or SRM extracted catalog! Thus there is NO MAPPING between categories from supplier or SRM extracted catalog to our /CCM/MASTER_CATALOG.
However, those items have a product category assigned (attribute /CCM/PRODUCT_CATEGORY if I recall correctly). Because without it the process within SRM (like backend system determination, purch.group determ., etc.) will not work properly.
All this doesn't seem to help when wanting to move such items from node 2 to node 3. It seems like in that case we need to delete the items and recreate them again in the correct node.
Hope this clarified our problem description a bit. Sometimes its quite difficult to explain without being able to show it on the screen...
