Showing self made video with Nokia 3600slide

I have a Nokia 3600 slide and I use Linux for video editing.The 3600 slide comes with a pre-installed video that has his format:
Material.mp4: ISO Media, MPEG v4 system, version 2
Ok, so I created a video with the well known MEncoder software on Linux, this is the syntax I used:
mencoder tazg1.mpg -ofps 15 -oac faac -faacopts br=98: object=2 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4 -of lavf -lavfopts format=mp4 -vf scale=320:240 -o taztest.mp4
This was the result:
taztest.mp4: ISO Media, MPEG v4 system, version 1
This video is now MP4 with AAC sound, it plays, but there is NO sound!
Why does the video play, but without any sound (yes, i increased the volume....)
What video format does the video need to have to be playable on the 3600 slide?
I used MPEG-4 and AAC sound, but, no sound in the video....

The reason it was explined that way is in reality it is a 2 step process.
From a Commercial DVD you use MTR and then any of the Softwares mentioned above, 2 steps and your done with a pristine exact copy Menu's and all an exact copy of the original.
from a vcr you can store it anywhere you want, but remember the size will still require you to compress it to fit on a standard 4.7gb DVD disc.
Why change the format from the Original VideoTS format.
It can get confusing to a user that is not familiar with changing the Codec's
and Converting.
If you are going to all the trouble you mention it's just as easy to use Video In and Audio In and copy direct. You are in for a suprise if you think iMovie will work because it won't.

I have found that a good way to get them to the pad camera roll is thru an app called photosync Transfers the videos Wireleesly to the pad. If you already have them in the camera roll, just fire up I movie, create a new project, and the will show up in the selection of clips in the upper left. Drag them into the movie pane and do your thing. You really don't need to visit I tunes unless you need to get them onto the pad via the way Fred has described.

Ipad 2 sends its own-made video with a shity quality via email. How to fix this?

everytime I send video to anybody from my Ipad 2, made by Ipad 2.- recipient gets a very low quolity video.
original file has Hd settings and big size, but recipient gets little file less than SD quality.
Also - if send video file to dropbox - it also gets shity quality file.
Is it possible to fix?

What was the one day fix that the Apple tech was able to perform for you? Did he take you through restoring the iPad? Did he suggest resetting the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appeared on the screen?
You need to provide some more details about what you did/he did in the way of troubleshooting.

Self-made video clip does not play completely on website

I have a short video clip [1:22 minutes/40.6 MBs] taken using my Canon Sureshot camera and mounted on one of my webpages. It plays fully in iWeb's publishing site but after uploading it to my domain host's internet, the video only plays half way. The play icon moves but there is no advancement of the clip or sound.
I contacted the domain host provider and they have not been too helpful other than to suggest uploading to YouTube in order to get a weblink. I would prefer the video clip on the page rather than a weblink.
There is speculation my web space is full to capacity, but it has not been verified. If there is enough web space, what is the key factor I should know to have this video clip playback in its entirety once it has been uploaded to the internet. My FTP program indicates it has been uploaded successfully in the Directory, Media, Scripts and Hypertext files.
I'm not a high-level techie, but still want to have videos on my website as I see on many others. It may mean upgrading for more web space. Before I do, I thought I would check it out with the support group to see if there is a solution to uploading successfully a video clip to play in its entirety.

I know what you are referencing. I just never go to that folder but that is where I do publish the site prior to uploading it onto the internet using the FTP.
And, it is when I have published the updated pags to the the Local Folder, the video plays perfectly well.
Soooo, it must be all about restricted bandwith that I am currently using with my domain web host ISP, which is a shared bandwidth. Economics affect me as a volunteer therefore cannot afford the higher speed which is not a shared bandwith.
To add to my demise, I have issues with signing on to YouTube through my Google account. Try to sort that one out is impossible. Tried for hours but all to no avail to get signed in. So I can't upload my videos which is too bad for my website.
Will chat further with my domain host and see what other options are available to me.

How do I display a slide show as a video on a menu?

Hi I am attempting to attach a Encore slide show to a menu, displaying the slide show as a video with audio. I am using CS6 Master Collection. I can create a slide show video in PrePro and save it as a video but I wish to take advantage of Encore's pan and zoom functions.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry; I read "attach" as "link to" and thought you were asking about a regular old slideshow.
You can't play a slideshow as if it is a video background to the menu. How would DVD functioning allow you to control the slideshow within a menu?
Also, Encore is not going to render an Encore slideshow into something you can then play as a video, and therefore not something you can attach as a video background.
You'll have to create the slideshow, using regular editing transitions, in Premiere or similar.
DVD or Bluray? I assume DVD, but you don't say. I wonder if you could get what you want playing a slideshow and using a popup menu.

Making Quicktime slide shows (videos) with Windows

Hello. With the Mac platform, I am able to use my photo program, iPhoto, export photos from it and make a Quicktime slide show (video, with accompanying music from my music program, iTunes. Is this also possible with Windows, ie: where would the 'Export' command be and how would music be integrated into it? Any other helpful comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can open many different audio and image formats with the Windows version of QuickTime Pro. To assemble a slide show of still images you could open a folder of liked sized, sequentially named images and add that new file "scaled" to the audio track.
You could also open the audio track and "add scaled to selection" your individual image files. This method would allow you set the duration of each slide to different values but would limit your show to 98 images (99 track limit).
This method could also use different image dimensions, different "offsets", transparency "blends" and mask layers. Depending on your intended distribution format you could make HD sized QuickTime movies with multiple images displaying simultaneously (Brady Bunch style).

The black bars are most commonly caused by having Source Footage, that does not match the Project's Frame Size.
This could be a pixel x pixel issue, with say 1280 x 720 Footage in a 1920 x 1080 Project, or it could be a difference in the Pixel Aspect Ratio. That is most common in SD material, between Standard 4:3 and Widescreen 16:9, but can happen with 1440 x 1080 Anamorphic, which does not use Square Pixels, or PAR = 1.0. With most other HD material and Projects, the PAR will more likely be 1.0, or Square Pixels. It could also stem from the Export/Share settings, having a different Aspect Ratio, i.e. pixels x pixels.

Okay, I figured out that Windows has "AutoPlay" settings which can automatically download photos and videos from a newly connected device, such as an iPad Mini. I think I could open it in Windows Explorer too that way but the auto download solved my problem.

Flicker showing up in exported videos with various codecs

I am exporting videos using various codecs and all of them are showing a flicker occasionally that is obviously not in the original footage or in the editing footage. The flicker is a brief one-frame looking jump to black. The flicker only seems to occur viewing it on the web. Viewing the same file on my system using "Preview" (Mac OS X) produces the same flicker. However, watching it using the full QuickTime viewer does not show the flicker.
The footage was shot using a DSLR and is from a Pentax K7 and is 1280 x 720, 25 fps.
Edited footage in Premiere CS6 looks fine. I am using export settings for 720p from H.264 for YouTube, Vimeo and straight HD 720p at all three available frame rates (23.976, 25.0 29.97). I have also exported using QuickTime codecs at HD 720p, H.264
Here is a link to two examples of the videos with the flicker probelms. One flick occurs in the first one in several places, the first one right at the beginning as the fade-in is still occurring, but occurs in both videos throughout occasionally.

Bad form putting QuickTime's on the web. This requires unwanted plug-ins to be required for viewing.
Use MP4 instead.

I tried rm formats and the only that works is sound, no video at all...Am I doing something wrong?. Can you watch really any video with the Real Media player on Nokia 9300?.

You cannot watch just any type of media file with realplayer on the 9300/9300i/9500 communicators, video files have to be converted to the 3gp format, there are a number of converter software packages on the net - may of which are free. Try also Nokia's own multimedia converter, downloadeable from Nokia, cheers.

Check the Recently Deleted album. Deleted photos will reside there for up to 30 days. This allows all those people who accidently delete photos to recover them, something they couldn't do before. To actually free up the space you might have to delete the photos in the Recently Deleted album.

I can't show a home-made video on television

I took a three minute video with my iphone 4, running iOS 4.1. Then I connected the phone to a television using the AV Composite Cable. However all I could get was the sound. No Video.
What might I be doing wrong?

Showing a video with the new effects applied

Hey there
I´ve made a colored project using DaVinci Resolve and now i´m trying to insert the before and after videos onto my showreel using a curtain like effect that starts with the before video and then opens the after video with the effetcs applied.
Is it possible to do it in After Effects? Any way to do that curtain like effect?

Although, now that I think about it, why not just do this in an NLE? This is pre-built in Premiere Pro and most other editing software. I wouldn't even bother with After Effects at all for a simple video editing task like this.
