SI_LOCALE - dashboard problem - query result error
Dear Sirs,
I have:
1. Business Objects Business Intelligence platform 4.0 with SP2 and FP 11.
2. Dashboard Design 2011
On BI launch pad I have problem with dashboard design object. When user tries to run the dashboard, it shows a error message.
Query result error:
The property with ID SI_LOCALE does not exist in the object.
On the same workstation, If I try to do the same, but using a different user, dashboard displays properly.
Let me add that the dashboard has 2 queries (from universe).
I tried to change the regional settings, but without results.
What does it mean?
Any idea how to resolve this problem?
Best regards,
Michal
I met the same issue, till now it remains.
I referred to SAP note
"1747311
Receive Error: "The property with ID SI_LOCALE does not exist in the object" when viewing "
However we already applied SP5. It seems still other factor entails this.

Query Builder problem - query results from previous query
Hi.
I have a 100% repeatable problem in Oracle Query Builder (Version 6.0.7.1.0) where some rows from the results of a previous query appear in the results for the current query. The queries being run are saved in *.brw files. If I close down Query Builder completely between queries, there is no problem. If I run one query, export the results to a CSV file, close that query and then open a second query, when I run the second query there are rows in the results that shouldn't be there (they are remnants of the first query). Interestingly the total number of rows for the second query is correct, so the same number of rows are missing as shouldn't be there. Anyone come across this before? Problem is repeatable for different database users and on different computers.
regards,
Martinas i posted earlier .. queryBuilder as a stand alone product is neither supported nor available anymore. it is only available as part of the report data wizard.
thanks,

I assume you import the images to a catalog, dont you?
Which catalog do you use? MDM or CCM?

Query result closing prematurely, Object closed error
Hi guys
I've discovered an unusual behaviour when iterating through a collection
returned from a query.
Scenario
The code executes a query, iterates partially through the resultset and for
each row calls a method which creates another object. Given that there
could be thousands of rows, I commit the new objects every n times and then
go back to the start of the loop which re-executes the query. This code runs
fine when
MAX_SCHEDULES_PER_TRANS <= com.solarmetric.kodo.DefaultFetchBatchSize.
Problem
If the DefaultFetchBatchSize is 10, and I commit every 11 iterations, then
during the 3rd outer loop (ie commit has succeeded twice and the query has
been executed 3 times) an exception is thrown when calling events.next() on
the 10th element. The stack trace is included below, but it appears that
the query resultset is somehow being closed early.
If I increase the DefaultFetchBatchSize to 20, then I can also increase my
MAX_SCHEDULES_PER_TRANS to 20 without getting the error.
Any ideas?
Regards
Nathan

The BOIterator is just wrapper layer and I have removed it to ensure it is
not the culprit. Still getting the same error.
I have done some more testing and have narrowed down the problem a little.
It seems to only occur when I update one of the columns that is being used
in the query. If I update a column that is not used in the query, it works
fine.

I guess you are right that it doesn't look like the query result is
being kept open between commits. I do notice that the block that catches
the OptimisticLockException doesn't break out of the loop though: can
you check to ensure that one isn't getting thrown?
Also, what is the com.mallesons.servicenet.ta.shared.BOIterator stuff?
If it is a wrapper layer that you have around the query execution,
can you try removing it, just to ensure that it isn't misbehaving in
some way?

Hi Marc,
Bug 718 certainly seems similar, however I still don't think it is
necessarily the problem in this case. That particular bug relates to the
resultset that was opened prior to commit, not remaining open after the
commit. However, once I've committed, I call query.closeAll() then re
execute the query. I would expect this to give me a new resultset that
would not be affected by the previous commit.
Also the CURSOR_CLOSE_ON_COMMIT is disabled by default and we haven't
enabled it. A query against the database using one of the SQLServer
functions confirms that this setting is false on the server.
Predictably, instantiating the entire collection also fixes the problem.
I
guess this is similar to setting DefaultFetchThreshold = -1.
Not really sure what else to try.

This sounds to me like
http://bugzilla.solarmetric.com/show_bug.cgi?id=718 , even though it is
not known to happen for SQLServer. If, before you commit, you
instantiate the entire "col" list (with something like
"new LinkedList (col)"), do you still see the problem?
If this is indeed the problem, it seems that this is a server option
that you can configure. If you disable CURSOR_CLOSE_ON_COMMIT on the
server, do you still see the problem? See:

For efficiency, if I am iterating through 50 objects beforecommitting
then
it is probably worth setting
DefaultFetchThreshold=50
DefaultFetchBatchSize=50
which will run without problem.
However, that doesn't address the underlying problem that could stilloccur
in other parts of our system.

First can you upgrade to Kodo 2.5.4 and see if the problem persists?
If so, can you for the sake of debugging try setting
DefaultFetchThreshold to -1?
Also you should be calling either query.closeAll () or query.close(events).

Error while sending query result
Hi all,
I am working on a JDBC-XI-IDoc scenario. In my sending JDBC adapter configuration, i have given the Query SQL statement as <b>SELECT * FROM SAP_PROMOTION</b> and Update SQL statement as: <b><TEST></b>
But when i go to adapter monitor, i am seeing an error as follws:

Can anybody help me how to solve this problem.
Regards,
DivijaDivija,
Am not sure if this is the exact cause for your problem, but would anyways suggest that you take a look at it,
<i>classes12.zip is not compatible with JDK 1.4.</i>
From the note : <b>831162</b>
Oracle JDBC Driver (classes12.zip / classes12.jar) Deadlocks
<b>Q: I have deployed the Oracle classes12.zip / classes12.jar JDBC driver as per the instructions in the XI Configuration Guide.
Unfortunately, I frequently notice hanging database connections. A thread dump taken according to the instructions in note 710154 shows one or more blocking JDBC Sender/Reciver threads and optionally that the JVM has detected a deadlock.
A: The Oracle classes12.zip / classes12.jar driver is compatible with Java 1.2 and Java 1.3 only, but not with Java 1.4. Please upgrade to a current driver (ojdbc14.jar), which does support the Java 1.4 JVM you are using.
Please make sure that you remove classes12.zip / classes12.jar from aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda prior to adding the new driver as per the instructions in the answer to question #1 above as you will get a class name collision otherwise (all JARs from aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda are loaded into the same class loader and the driver class name of both driver versions is the same).
Before deploying the updated driver, ensure that the new version is still compatible with your Oracle database server release. For details, please refer to the release notes provided by Oracle.</b>

Http 404 error exporting query result into Excel.
Hello. I'm getting an Http 404 The webpage cannot be found" error when trying to export any APEX application's query results into Excel (Application Express 3.2.1.00.10). This was working fine before. Nothing changed with our APEX application. I've been always using I.E. Version 7.0.5730.11 with no problems. I've reset the I.E. defaults and still the problem exists. I've downloaded Mozilla Firefox and the problem does not happen. However, I would like to know why my I.E. still gets this error? Any feedback or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
My EI settings are as follows:

All Three: Internet, Local Intrarnet, and Trusted Sites ... at Custom Level have the following settings:

The query looks at 3 views - as_person, as_recruitment_information, and as_admissions_application. I can post the code that generates each view, but that would take pages, so please let me know if you need it.
However, I can successfully export the following query:
select *

as_admissions_application is one of the same views as in the query above - so it isn't a specific problem with the view. The difference is the commenting I have below the query. These are legal SQL comments, and they document what I'm using the query for. I've tried putting a semi-colon after the comments, but that doesn't work either. But I think the comments are the issue.

Problem getting results with no unique key in a joined query
I created a descriptor to do a joined query, which generated a query in log as:
Select t0.empID,t1.empID, t1.phone from Emp t0, Phone t1
where t0.empId=t1.empId and t0.empId=1001
When I run it, I got the result as:
1001,1001,9999999
1001,1001,9999999
The correct result should be (I copy and paste the query from log into SQL-Plus):
1001,1001,9999999
1001,1001,1234455
I suspect this is caused by Toplink caching objects by primary key. I wonder if anybody has a solution for this.
My descriptor is created using WorkBench. Emp is the primary table, Phone as additional table linked by foreignKey empId.
The join is implemented by modifying the descriptor as the following:
ExpressionBuilder builder = new ExpressionBuilder();
descriptor.getQueryManage()
.setMultipleTableJoinExpression(
builder.getField("EMP.EMPID").equal(
builder.getField("EMP.EMPID")));
descriptor.disableCacheHits();
I'd really appreciate your help.I am implementing a people search function. The batch reading is quite expensive if toplink does a read query for every person. A customized query requires only one database access, the other way may requires hundreds.
I don't want to use the cache either in this case because the database is also accessed by legacy system which cann't notify toplink any updates.
I opened a TAR on this and the solution I got is to use ReportQuery rathen than ReadAllQuery. The only problem here is that now I have to map the query result to my class manually. -
Error in testing XML query result set web service

My iPod classic won't synch from iTunes. This is a recent problem. The error message reads "The iPod cannot be synched. An unknown error occurred (-39)." The end result is that the music will sync but photos will not sync. I am running current versions of software on the iPod and the iMac / iTunes. HELP! J
First try to resolve #2 by:
See
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
- I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause
iTunes for Windows: Device Sync Tests
- Try on another computer to help determine if computer or iPod problem
If you can resolve #1 and still get same message for #1 then you have to restore the iPod like the message says. -
Hi- I occasionally come across this issue when I run any query in SQL Developer (3.0.02), the Query Result tab shows a bold red Exclamation point and the display grid is blank. It says "Fetched 50 rows in 0.235 seconds" but the results aren't displayed. There is nothing wrong with the queries so it seems like some type of display problem but I can't figure out how to fix it. Like I said, it doesn't happen all the time and I run the same saved queries so I know it's not a problem with the actual queries. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this before?
Hi,
Sounds like you are using an early adopter version of 3.0. Why not upgrade to the latest production release (3.1.07.42)?
A similar situation is described in this old thread:

Problems exporting query results to Excel
Hi!
I hope you can help me
We have a web template that uses the class ZVIG_ART that we created in the transaction SE24, this class display some label in the query
results, the problem is when we export this report to excel the label disappear. The numbers indicates the stock of the item and the label N/V indicates that the item is not in the store's catalog. Another case is that we can have N/V items but with stock, for example the ITEM2 of the STORE3 with the label N/V-1piece. How can we export this label to EXCEL?
| STORE1 | STORE2 | STORE3
ITEM1 | 10 PIECES | N/V | 20 PIECES
ITEM2 | 11 | 20 | N/V-1PIECE
Thanks in advanced.
Veronica B.Hi Mari,
Thanks for the reply.
I can understand the resason for not being able to change the Posting Date. But what are the reasons for not being able to change the Document Date? What is the fiscal reason for not being able to change the Document Date? Please provide an example. Reversing the document doesn't work in this case as the SQ01 report would still include the incorrect date.

My MSSQL Server express 2014 edition x64 and My desktop "Report Builder (RB) 3.0' is 32bit (x86).
Does Report Builder x64 exist? I didn't see anywhere so I downloaded x86 RBHi mujb,
Per my understanding you are using the report builder 3.0 to design the report and when you click the query designer button to execute the query you got the error message above, right?
I have tested on my local envornment and your issue can be caused by the user "SQLServer2014\Mubs" and "mujb-HP\mujb" haven't grant permission to the report server or the shared dataeource/dataset if you have used this.
I would like to confirm if you have assigned both the Item-Level and System-Level role of the user above to sucessfully access the report server, If you haven't grant any access to the above user and when you connect to the report server in the report builder,
you may got the error message:
More details information below for your reference:
Please execute the query in the microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to see if you have permission to execute the query.
If the query works fine in step1, please run the report builder as Administrator and if you are using the shared datasource/dataset the issue can be cause by the you haven't grant access the share datasource, Double click to open the Datasource
and click the "Test Connection" as below to test if it can connect successfully:
If the "Test Connection" failed, please click the shared datasource/dataset on Report Server to check if you have grant correct permission.
Related information about the grant permission to report server for your reference:

If your issue still exists, please try to provide more details information.
