  • Element Creation for STD Sick Pay

I am looking for information pertaining to the element set up requirements (including balance feeds) for the use with STD Sick Pay.
All our STD sick pay payments are made by a contracted insurance company. The insurance company withholds only EE FICA taxes, which in turn are reported and remitted to the IRS.
Our requirement is to record these payments on the employee's payroll record, report and remit the matching ER FICA, FUTA and SUI taxes. In addition, we are to include these payments in the year-end W-2 information.
How have other Oracle users set up element(s) to accomodate the requirements of such reporting?
Any information would be greatly appreciated,
    Dawn Weis, CPP
    Payroll Manager

    Dawn,
The Third Party Sick Pay information will need to be entered into the payroll via Balance Adjustments.
Here are two notes you can reference that cover how to enter the balances into the system.

  • Third Party Sick Pay

Can some one help me with a document/steps for the right way to configure Third Party Sick Pay in SAP?
    Regards
    Ranjani

    Thanks for your response Remi
I did check this document on Third Party Sick Pay - Third-Party Sick Pay Solution - Wiki NewForum
My situation is that we are not concerned about the absences here. We have 2 options (like you mentioned).
    1. Employer pays and then bills Third Party. - In this case I would pay the employee in Infotype 15 and would be in a regular payroll. What should I do here to make this amount appear in W2 and also in Form - 941?
    2. Third Party pays the Employee in a separate check written him, deducts the taxes as well. But to make the payment accountable in W2 and Form 941, the employer adjusts in Infotype 221 and the Employer Contribution is calculated in Offcycle Payroll run,
Here I need to understand what amount should I expect on W2 and Form 941, say the total Third Party Sick Pay before tax is 2000$?

  • How to configure exhausting sick pay before STD

I would like to find out if is possible to configure exhausting sick pay hours first when an employee is placed on STD.
In essence they want to use all sick hours before the STD pay kicks in.
    Thank you in advance

Were you able to successfully configure the STD in SAP Payroll?  We have a similar requirement and I was wondering if you could share any information or documentation.
    Thanks,

  • Error in short pay report generation

    Hi
We run reports for review of customer short pays which are set up as an SAP Query in specific user groups
These reports lists short pays for one type of customer groups. The issue I am facing is that the report is adding individual lines to be able to get the CSR identified. So the # Days open is added and then I have the Avg selected in the query. I only want the average column which would take the addition of each line on the order and then divide by the # of lines. I have the same problem with short pays and average values.
This error is seen for reports which have invoices not the ones without invoices.
Firstly I wanted to know where to address this issue using report painter transaction  GR22 or using the SA38/SE38 editors.
Any ideas as to how to solve this would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards
    Francis.

Hi, please give us some idea on how you have configured. Have you related the holiday pay wagetype to an absence. If yes, you may use the flexible employee data report or create an adhoc query for the purpose.
If you can brief us on how you have configured, will be able to help you

  • A customer average days to pay report

In 2007A I thought there was a place where you can get the average days a customer pays. Whether it was on the Dunning reports or the aging but I thought it was there....I cannot seem to find this, was it removed from 2005A?
Anyways, I am  looking for a report that will show the average days a customer pays...if it is not on 2007A can someone help me with a simple query to create a report?
    Thanks a million!!

I had been looking for a solution to this, but instead of a report I wanted to update the Business Partner Master Data field under the Payment Terms tab called Average Delay.
I came across the following code and I posted it on my blog here:
    Link: [http://www.tellme747.com/?p=312]
If you install the storproc code I have posted here you can then use a simple query or report to print the data.

  • Procure to Pay Report

Is there a standard R/3 report that lists purchases in the last one year? It needs information from Purchasing and AP.
The information I need is Vendor#, Name, PO No, Item, Po Date, Material Group/No/Description, GL Account, WBSE, Company Code, PO Qty, Amount, Currency, GR status, IR status,  Invoice No, Invoice Date, Invoice Qty, Invoice Amount, Payment Date, Payment Amount etc.
Of course it must filter out deleted lines and there may be PO’s with no invoices or invoices with no payments etc.
Is there a standard report or any other easy way to get it (apart from table joins) or am I asking too much? I wouldl ike to then export it to Excel for further analysis?
    Thanks in advance
    Jayshree

    Hi Jayshree
Try ME80Fn. Here you select your own field for Input (from dynamic selection).
Most of the field required by you are available here. Also, this report can be exported to excel.

  • Does anyone know of a standard Purchase to Pay report in SAP?

We really need a report that shows what was purchased, received and invoiced. I can't seem to find one standard. Does such a thing exist? Thanks!

    Hi,
Have a look at ME80FN report. Select "Purchase Order History option" on Select View icon. You may need to hide the columns which are not required.
    Thanks & Best Regard,

  • OSP (Occupational Sick Pay) Advice Appreciated

    Hi there,
I am setting up OSP and need to implement a dependency on both length of service and grade.
I have used the absence setup to create the plan and was expecting it to be a matter of updating the generated fast formula to look at different table values (which would be setup to reflect both grade and length of service.) As most of the logic is implement in PL/SQL I feel this may not be the way to go.
Has anyone implemented such OSP logic. The alternative is I set up 5 different plans to reflect the different groups of grades and have an appropriate eligibility profile for each plan.
I would really appreciate some advice on a recommended way forward with this
    Many Thanks
    Kev

    Hi there,
Thanks so much for your response.
The problem I am having is that employees on one group of grades is entitled to six months at full pay and then six months at half pay whereas other grades are entitled to Nine months at full pay and then no further pay.
I am unsure whether I need to set up different absence plans using the absence creation template to implement this or if I can take one plan and change the logic to check for the grade and from it derive the band A and band B entitlements.
Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Many Thanks
    Kev

    Aswin,
The client session is your primary TopLink interface abstracting over the shared cache and connection pooling. Depending if you are using internal or external connection pooling and the transaction state you are in TopLink may have a JDBC connection allocated to your client session. A client session does equate to a single dedicated JDBC connection for its entire lifecycle.
Assuming you are using an external connection pool (Application server's data source) your client session will have a connection from this data source when required to perform a read and during the commit of its UnitOfWork.

  • Potential IRS reporting change if Social Security rate is not extended

Hello - We received notice from ADP that due to the Federal Social Security rate changes this year that if the current 4.2% rate is not extended that they feel the IRS will require separate reporting capabilities for the different tax rates applied throughout the 2012 tax year.  We are curious if SAP is addressing this issue systematically so that we will be able to comply with any changes to capturing and reporting 2012 taxes to the IRS.
Below is an excerpt from the notice received from ADP.  Thank you for any information you can provide on this matter...
If the 4.2% Employee Social Security tax rate is not extended before we begin processing March 1 payrolls, ADP anticipates the likelihood that the IRS will require separate reporting to reflect the different rates for  Social Security wages, taxes, Tips, Uncollected Social Security tax on Tips and Group-Term Life (GTL), and non-taxable Third Party Sick Pay for each rate.
In order to comply with the potential of separate reporting mandates, the existing fields will be used for reporting all wages and taxes applicable to the 4.20% rate.  ADP will create new field codes to capture and display all wages and taxes applicable to the 6.20% rate. These changes would require your company to store the Social Security wages, taxes, Tips, Uncollected Social Security tax on Tips and Group-Term Life (GTL), and non-taxable Third Party Sick Pay in a separate code within your payroll system.

    Kristy,
While BSI and SAP will be on top of getting the correct rate out as soon as possible I do understand what ADP is refering to.  I also have a client that received that simialar notice.
At this time nothing has been release from SAP on how they will attempt to handle this if indeed the IRS makes this a mandatotry rule for tax reporting in 2012.  ADP is just making the comment for now that it could happen but there is nothing in place that notes this as a mandate.  If the IRS determines this is to happen it will required a W-2 Form change and those are always delivered in the YE notes from SAP beginning in October each year.  My clients use processing class 30 in their wage types with a code of "T" so that they can set up accumulators. Since the tax of 4.2 is in place from Jan to March I feel that the Monthy and Quarterly accumulators will house the information needed to accomodate such a requirement.
How SAP will dictate this gets into the W-2 will have to wait until the IRS publishes an official guideline on the reporting.
I know this is not the answer on "How this will be handled" but you will want to be sure to keep an eye out in October for SAP solutions that relate to 2012 Tax Reporting.  https://websmp208.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000733666&
