Sign-in doesn't work properly; need to sign in all the time between windows although signed in for 2 weeks.

popup appears out of nowhere reading "We noticed you may have signed in or signed out in another window. Click OK to reload your page" Leads you to sign in again.
This is not a problem with the old Flock, Chrome, or IE, just Firefox.
It appears that anytime one leaves mail or personal home page and goes to a website, a sign-in is required to get back to mail or personal homepage.
I have run out of ideas using tools-options, etc. setups.
I am addressing Firefox 4.0.1, and Windows XP

Zoom-in feature under Lion doesn't work properly, need immediate help

Hey, I have a bad eyesight as a handicap and I completely rely on the zoom-in-function of my mac because it let's me easily access and see stuff I want.
when upgrading to Lion yesterday the zoom feature first didn't work at all then it jus enabled me to zoom in but the zoom sort of froze and my mouse could only move within the zoomed frame. I set it all to "follow the mouse" but it jsut doesn't work.
the zoom-feature was one of the main reasons years ago I got a mac in the first place and now it's so frustrating. really, I need help!!! does anyone at Apple already know about the problem?

B...I guess it's no secret, but there is a problem with the zoom feature, and it's somehow connected to the screensaver being active when the computer goes into sleep mode. There are 2 quick ways to work around this without having to log off or reboot all the time !. Turn off your screen saver, and zoom should always be available to you. 2. If you need the screen saver, activate one of the hot corners in the screen saver selection area. When your machine refuses to zoom, activate the screensaver by using the hot corner for a few seconds. When you return to your desktop, the zoom will be working again. I works every time for me. Good Luck everybody and I'm sure this little hiccup will be fixed in a short time.

Little circle turns/ page doesn't load/ problem triangle comes up almost all the time

The little connecting circle comes on and turns no matter what -- whether it's from a bookmark, an email, a typed in address. It turns and turns, then either times out or says problem loading page ALMOST all the time (I can't figure our why or why not). I just downloaded the latest versions of both Firefox & Thunderbird. I check my AVG and Firefox has a clear pass.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Cursor has changed to a plus sign and doesn't work properly

I recently plugged my Late 2012 MBP 13" into an Epson projector (using an Apple serial port converter) and my cursor changed from the normal shape to a '+' sign. Also, there is occasionally some horizontal lines on the screen about 1" (2cm) away from the plus sign. I wouldn't mind the shape except it's now very inaccurate and difficult to use. Does anyone know how to fix this type of issue? Appreciate any help you can offer.

Username search doesn't work properly if there are spaces in the username

I was experimenting with the watch user widget and you have to select a user from a list of users based on a search.
The problem is that spaces are not respected in the search so that you can't easily set up a watch on a user name with spaces.
Two examples that I tried were b noir and katrina s.

I actually just set up my watch user for you, p, saw your post title and wondered if you were looking for me. I have the same sort of trouble.
My workaround for this (and also constraining discussions search on my posts) is to not refer to the drop down list. Instead, I click the wee blue "Select People" link next to the field. In the Username Lookup thingy that comes up, I type b noir into the Username field, and then click Lookup. That'll bring me up.
I agree it's not easy. Took me quite a while to work out the procedure.

I have an iPhone 5 right now.. But the wifi does't say active all the time. It would be on for a while, then disconnect. My power button also doesn't work at times.Sometimes it wakes up the screen, but only when I press it on one side.

How do i add a letterhead (company logo) to certain pages of a pdf document? Need to do this all the time!

I need to add letterhead/logo as a header and footer to certain pages of PDF document. Can I set up a template header and footer that I can select to go onto certain pages of document?
When I try to add a header in Adobe Acrobat X Standard it only lets me add letters & numbers and not a jpg image logo.

You could setup stamps, one for the header and one for the footer. Then apply and place the stamps. It may be you can create one stamp to do the job as long as the background is transparent. I am not sure about templates since it is an area I have never played with. Consider these as ideas to try. Not sure how well they will work. If you wait around, someone with better input may drop by.

Ipod need to be reset all the time

Hi recently my Ipod is acting weird. if i don turn it on for 1 day the following day i need to reset it else nothing happens.
Is this supposed to be happening? I didn't hv this problem before.

I know you said that you need to reset your iPod (and by that I take it to mean you have to do it yourself), but are you aware that the iPod resets itself after being left inactive for a period of 36 hours or so?

Airport express in another room needs to be on all the time!

I'm running airport express on my stereo in my bedroom. it needs to always be "on" so i don't have to get out of bed to select which audio output is active. is this possible? please help.

If so, run the Airport Admin Utility, select your Express, click on the Configure button, click on the Internet tab, and check the box to "always stay connected". Get's stuck, wont work, have to close and reopen all the time. Like the program is frozen, and I can not click on anything.

just started after updating to newest firefox. I will go on my email, check out what's going on and then when I try to click on another email it stops working, and my hand icon gets bright and transparent as if to tell me this program is locked or frozen. I close, reopen, works fine for a few emails, and then does it again. very frustrating. I was fine with the old firefox, can i get it back?

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

I'd like to confirm that I am suffering from the same issue with my 3 week-old iPhone 4S. I, too, need to turn flight mode on and off in order to convince my phone to switch back from a Wifi connection to 3G. So far I have tried the following:
- Received a new SIM from O2 here in Germany
- Restored my phone from backup
- Restored my phone as a new device
- Installed iOS 5.0.1
- Received a replacement phone from Apple
None of the above have rectified the situation, nor made any difference at all. Neither the Apple support hotline nor the Genius Bar employee had any idea what could be causing the problem. The only thing I have not yet tried is a SIM from another provider. I'm wondering if this is a problem with the iOS in combination with the setup of certain providers.

It's not running in background. It is asleep. When you launch it again iOS wakes it up and it continues from where it was put to sleep by pressing the Home button. If you remove it from the quick-launch bar (got that name? It's quite descriptive) it is awakened by iOS long enough to shut down. So when you next launch it the app must start from the beginning.
