Signification Line Installation Delays and appalli...
We are moving home on 3rd October but as we run our business from home as well we have been trying to relocate both our home line and business line to our new address.
On 10th September we rang the business move team to arrange the move of our business line that has the broadband on. This is the most critical aspect to us. On the phone, everything seemed fine - was verbally told it could take up to 4 weeks. At the time we were 3 weeks away from moving so this didn't seem too bad. On 12th September we were then given an installation date of 29th October, an incredible 7 weeks after my call! I immediately rang up to complain and was told that a request would be put in to have the date brought forward. I was told I would be contacted by 12 noon the following day - this came and went. I received a call at 3.30pm and was informed that they were still waiting for a response and I would receive a call definitely by 6pm. Again this came and went. I eventually received a call back on the 18th.
In the meantime, on Tues 11th September we rang the residential home move team to arrange for the home phone line to be moved. There is an existing TalkTalk line in the place we are moving to so presumed there would be no issues. On the phone, everything seemed fine. The following day, I was phoned to say that the connection would not be free and we would have to pay £130. At this point, we had now been given the ridiculous installation date for the business line and broadband. I therefore said that we would have to wait as we were having problems in relation to the business line and I suspected we might have to add the broadband to the residential line to continue operating our business. At this stage, there was no mention of engineers having to visit to install the residential line.
On 13th September I rang BT regarding the residential line and was told that the order was cancelled due to an OpenReach failure (?) and that I would have to wait 24hrs for the system to be updated before I could place a new order. Again, there was no mention of an engineer having to visit to install the residential line. So I waited and kept checking my online account for any progress. There wasn't any.
I rang back Saturday 15th Sept and was told that the order was going through as cancelled and the lady was ensuring it was actioned by a "back office team". I explained that we now needed to add the broadband to the residential line due to installation delays with the business line. When I asked if having two orders open at the same time (one for business and one for residential) could be causing a problem, the lady agreed. I therefore said that I would cancel the business order, have the broadband added to the residential line and then have the business phone line installed when this was sorted out. I was told to ring back Monday 17th Sept to place the new order. Again, there was no mention of needing an engineer visit for the residential line.
I dutifully rang back on the Monday and was then told to wait another 24hrs! I immediately refused and said this wasn't acceptable as I had already been told this twice. I asked to speak to a manager/supervisor but he said he would try to sort it out. I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes and was on the phone for 33 minutes in total but no resolution. I asked that someone call me back as I wasn't prepared to stay on hold any longer.
I then received a call back. I placed a new order for the residential phone line move adding on the broadband. Again, there was no mention of an engineer needing to visit and everything seemed ok for the 3rd October. I therefore rang the Business team and cancelled my order for the business phone line move and broadband the same day (17th September). It is then the following day after this that I receive my call back from my Business Move 'Service Manager' saying it is noted that I cancelled my order and they're very sorry that they couldn't get a sooner installation date although this 'Service Manager' hadn't even bothered to ring me back when he said he would.
On the 20th September, I checked my online account as I had not received an order email as I had when I first placed the residential move order. To my astonishment it said that my order would complete on the 9th November as an engineer visit was required. I immediately rang BT to complain. I was informed that my order was only placed that morning (how can that be when I rang 3 days earlier?). I explained the whole situation again to the operator who eventually deliberately hung up the phone on me! I immediately rang back to speak to the Complaints Team and was told there isn't one and a manager would have to ring me back within 4 hours. I received the call and explained everything all over again. I was told that all they could do was put in a request for a sooner engineer visit and that they would call me back.
It's no surprise that I received that call today to say that there are no sooner dates although they would try in a couple of days.
I find it incredible that BT think it is acceptable to treat their customers like this. It took 9 days from me placing my residential order to receiving a residential engineer date thereby extending my installation considerably to the 9th November. Having given up a business installation date of the 29th October, this is a very bitter pill to swallow. I have still not received a satisfactory explanation as to why an engineer visit is needed to a property with an existing TalkTalk phone line. The effects on our business are immeasurable. In this day and age who can run their business with these sort of lead times? Could BT? Even waiting this long for a home phone line is crazy - we therefore have to wait until after 9th November to have Sky installed at the new property.
Ringing BT has been an absolute disaster - they have no idea what customer service means. The lack of an independent complaints team really does say it all about the value that they place on it.

The installation/activation of the line is done by Openreach and not BT Retail ( a communication provider/ISP).
Openreach have had a backlog of work due to bad weather conditions over the last few months, this has caused installation and repairs to take much longer than normal to complete. There may also be other reasons as to why it has taken so long, eg technical problems.
Openreach is part of the BTplc group but run under their own policies and protocols under OFCOM rules to prevent BT Retail (a communication provider/ISP) from getting any priority over other communication provider/ISP.
The UK's telecommunication lines are maintained, installed and fixed by Openreach for all communication provider/ISP.

Is your Windows 7 x64 an original MS Full Version Installation DVD?
Did Windows 7 Install Disc start?
If it did you would have had to choose the location of where to install Windows 7.
Did you select the Partition named BOOTCAMP that corresponded to the Partition Size you created in BootCamp?
Were you asked to format the Partition?
Did you format the partition to NTFS and then get an option to click NEXT and actually start the Windows 7 installation?
Do you have a wired USB keyboard and wired USB mouse?
If you actual went through the installation and restarted then here are some things to try:
First try doing a CONTROL-ALT-DELETE and see if a Windows Option Screen appears.
If you get the Screen you will have some options displayed.
You want to highlight and click TASK MANAGER which should be the bottom choice I beleive.
If Task Manager runs you will get a window showing all the processes running.
See if you can find EXPLORER.
If EXPLORER is running highlight it and go to the bottom right and click the END TASK button.
Now go to the Top Left Menu Bar.
Click FILE
In the sub menu that opens select RUN or RUN NEW TASK (Not sure which it is in Windoes 7 as I am running Windows 8)
Once RUN is selected a new window will open to CREATE NEW TASK
Type in EXPLORER and then the OK button.
If Windows 7 installed properly the Desktop should appear after a bit of time.
Your first concern is to get your keyboard running so you may have to remove and reinstall Windows using Boot Camp on the Mac Side.

Database Firewall in-line between clients and database not working
I’m trying to configure a Standalone Database Firewall in-line between the clients and the protected database so it can block some statements. I’ve followed the Installation Guide and the Administration Guide, but can’t get it working. I’ve configured one Enforcement Point with one Protected Database.
I’ve configured Database Firewall with three Ethernet cards:
eth0 is used for Management (IP. 192.168.1.81)
eth1 and eth2 are associated with Bridged interface br0
The protected database is listening in 172.16.40.3:1521.
The clients are in subnet 192.168.1.x.
I’ve configured the Traffic Source br0 with the IP 172.16.40.2 and is enabled as the Traffic Source in the Enforcement Point.
In the configuration file appliance.conf corresponding to the Enforcement Point, I’ve seen the parameter PROXYPORT=1534, so I understand the clients should connect to this port in Database Firewall in order to access the protected database. Is this assumption correct? Is the configuration I’ve done correct? Are there any additional configuration steps that should be made? Is there any documentation about this configuration files?

PabloFor in-line blocking mode to work out of the box it is necessary that DB Client's IPs (as they are seen in DBFW), br0 and DB IP are all on the same subnet. If this is not the case you would need to fiddle with routing on the DBFW manually which you are discouraged to do because it's unlikely to be persistent, work correctly after upgrades etc... DBFW is not intended to be a router although it can be made to perform this function. In general I would advise you to stay within the supported configuration and just make sure you network infrastructure is ready for DBFW deployment. IE make sure all these IPs are on the same subnet

Command-line installation issue : InstallMediaPath parameter?

I have an unsuccessful command-line installation of SQL Express 2008 R2. I need to do it to install a new local instance so that a Winforms application could use it (I'm packaging the app thus installing pre-requisites through my installer).
I hit "InstallMediaPath" blank parameter issue, if I look into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\Detail.txt".
System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.

I read on the forums that this error can solve by uncompressing before running setup, so here are my two commands. I still have the issue.

I suceeded with a configuration file, adding though two parameters to file, IAcceptSQLServerLicenseTerms="True" and SAPWD="passwordOfMyChoice".
With command line only, I had "path2" parameter null value error, once I added /InstallMediaPath undocumented (?) option to my initial command line switches... -
Ive got RAM in photoshop set to 70% the default.
I have a QUAD with 4.5 GB RAM....
I am only using PHOTOSHOP CS2 no other apps are launched.
for the first few hours things are OK.
then all of a sudden zooming takes time
writing keywords is delayed
then everything is delayed, almost halted
this has been going on for months.
This was a top of the line computer once and 10.4.8 is the latest OS right?
I have reinstalled already did a clean install months back.
Im sorry for this rage but this shouldnt be happening. I should be able to have atleast 3-4 apps going right?

Sounds like a memory leak.
That indicates a software problem, not necessarily a Quad problem.
-Are you sure you don' t have other apps running in background?(Dashboard, iTunes, Safari, Mail,etc...)
-Have you checked with Adobe support (they have great forums) for specific fixes for CS2?
-You say "all of a sudden" things take time. Is that an accurate statement, or illustrative? Usually a slowdown like this creeps up on you (not an 'all-of-a-sudden' thing)
-When you get this condition, a simple restart clears it, right?
I may be wrong, but it sounds like a Photoshop thing. -

When the installation is completed the clients reboot and our software-delivery-server quits with an error ("Exit code 32 indicates possible error"). To install the Adobe Updates we have to renew the complete installation.
I think the installation routine does not send an "installation complete" message to the server, but that is just an idea. The exit code 32 error means nothing to me. Does anyone have an idea what I can do ?

the Disc Utility is asking me to start the computer by running the Mac OS X TIGER installation disc and then repair the disc.
my question is;
by running the disc MAC OS X TIGER in order to repair it do i run the risk of downgrading the actual operating system of Lion to Tiger (which is 5 years old)?

No, don't do that. As Dave said, if you're running Lion, use the Recovery HD (partition, actually) that should be on your internal HD already. See Using the Recovery HD for details. -

I tried to install yosemite yesterday and my computer goes through the whole installation process and then to a blank white screen. I've rebooted, I've reinstalled several times and get the same result. Two days wasted and I can't use my computer!!
I don't know if you've already resolved your problem, but I had the same thing, it took me 6 hours to fix it. I had the exact same as you, installed the update and then it went to a white screen. After trying start up holding down cmmd r or holding down the alt key to try to install it again, nothing worked, same result every time. Then an angel came to me here somewhere but I can't find it now to thank him. Start in safe mode, press shift once you hear the start up chime and hold it down until you hear it again. Installation completion box came up and it was working. turn off computer and start up again normally and all is well. Except my final cut pro x doesn't work with it, have to update that now too. same as when I updated to mavericks.

Do not include some lines in Subtotals and totals in ALV

In this if the document date is less than the SY-DATUM, we should not include the quantity into the subtotals and totals, Only the orders wiht doc date GQ to Sy-datum then display them..

As I have to create table with following detals
total row = 3
row1 = 3 column
row2 = 6 column
row3 = 9 column
for 2nd and 3rd row data to be fetched using coding.
so can anybody explain me what should i use

if the data is single i.e. fixed choose template.
Create table
> Draw u r no lines
> choose option select pattern
> select display framed patterns
Choose u r required one.
out lined, or full lined. u can choose option.

In MONTH, (PC) iCal only clearly lists 2 items a day. The 3rd item is "faded" and bottom portion cut off, w/ a "more" triangle in the lower-right corner. How can I expand (vertically) so the 3rd line posts clearly, and ONLY shows "more" if 4+ events?
Better yet... as there's a lot of "wasted" space w/ too large Month title and empty space surrounding the Month title above and too much space surrounding the month/year slider bar below, how can I minimize these to allow me more usable / valuable calendar "contents" so I don't need to waste so much time clicking "more" just to see the bottom of the truncated third event and find out there are no 4+ events posted that date? i.e. more "user-friendly" presentation?

Line item: This means the dimension contains precisely one characteristic. This means that the system does not create a dimension table. Instead, the SID table of the characteristic takes on the role of dimension table. Removing the dimension table has the following advantages:
¡ When loading transaction data, no IDs are generated for the entries in the dimension table. This number range operation can compromise performance precisely in the case where a degenerated dimension is involved.
¡ A table- having a very large cardinality- is removed from the star schema. As a result, the SQL-based queries are simpler. In many cases, the database optimizer can choose better execution plans.
Nevertheless, it also has a disadvantage: A dimension marked as a line item cannot subsequently include additional characteristics. This is only possible with normal dimensions.
Note: In SAP BW 3.0, the term line item dimension from SAP BW 2.0 must a) have precisely one characteristic and b) this characteristic must have a high cardinality. Before, the term line item dimension was often only associated with a). Hence the inclusion of this property in the above. Be aware that a line item dimension has a different meaning now than in SAP BW2.0.
SAP recommends that you use ODS objects, where possible, instead of InfoCubes for line items.
