Silly me! Just expand the left side of iTunes!

I guess I'm a little slow, but I just couldn't imagine the purpose of playing video in that tiny window in the bottom left hand corner of iTunes. But duh! Simply stretch that Source List colum wider, and you get a bigger window for playing videos and seeing album art!
Amazing how you can work with something so long and miss a simple and easy feature!

Also you can click on the video to get it to play in its own window which you can enlarge. You can even right click on the video (in either window) and select full screen to play the video full screen (Quicktime Pro may be required for this feature).
Also just as a added extra if you want to change the picture that is dispayed when the video is not playing right click on the video and select 'Set Poster screen' (Or something every similar) (Again Quicktime pro may be required)

There is no "DEVICES" listed on the left side of itunes.

itunes recognizes my ipod and my iphone.. However there is no "Devices" listed on the left side of itunes. My ipod, when I plug it into my puter and open itunes does show up on the row that has songs, allbums, etc on the very right hand side, just to the left of itunes store. when I click on it, "my ipod", it opens up the "on this ipod' screen. And "my ipod" then shows on the very left, same row. When I click on the little arrow just to the right of "my ipod" it shows a drop down menu thta has Music, Movies, tv shows, etc. However there is NO 'Devices" on that drop down menu.
"When in Manual mode, to add songs or playlist, drag them from itunes to the DEVICE icon in the sidebar" I cannot do this because there is no DEVICE icon in the sidebar.
What can I do to solve this please?
What I am wanting to do is to xfer songs that I have on my puter to my ipod. I have xfered them to itunes library. However if I try "syncing" them, I get the 'your ipod is synced to another library' message.
Please do not ask me to reinstall itunes. I went through the whole process of COMPLETELY removing any trace of itunes, quicktime, and all the other things listed in the How to remove itunes completely from your puter. I have checked that Apple mobile device USB Driver is up and installed and running. I have checked to make sure Apple Mobile Device support is instaled and OK.
What else can I do?

By default ringtones won't show up in the left hand column until you have downloaded some.
If they aren't showing after that, or you want it to show even though it is empty, in iTunes preferences you can specify what sections to show.

Deleting a source on the left side of Itunes

My sister sent me songs from her windows computer through aim, so i recieved them through i chat and saved them opened them in itunes and everything is fine but now on the left side where library and music store is located, it reads Vanessa's Limewire Tunes... How do i delete this cause it is bugging me alot...

Sounds like it's a shared playlist from someone else on you network.
If you go to iTunes>Preferences>Sharing and uncheck "Look for shared music" it should go way.

If you have it turned on it is now under the music section on the top where you have Songs, Albums etc. It is on the far right next to Match.
If you cannot see it then Preferences and Tick Radio Option
If it is still npt there the Preferences, Parental and untick Disable Radio

It doesn't appear on the left-hand side. If you want to sync photos to your device then you need to connect it to your computer, select the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch on the left-hand side under 'Devices', and one of the tabs on the right-hand side should be Photos i.e. it's similar to the other tabs that you use for selecting what to sync to the device : syncing photos. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the device together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the it- not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the it.

So earlier today I updated to the newest version of itunes and ever since I've been having problems syncing devices. I have plugged my iphone in and it will say its sync in the menu list on the left side of itunes but isn't working

I downloaded the newest version of itunes and ever since I've been having problems. When I connect my iphone to itunes, it will say its synced up, however when i'm trying to add music its just not allowing it to happen.
Also when I try to restore the Iphone or check for updates, It says connect via USB to check for updates or restore. The same with attemting to sync apps
I've reinstalled itunes several times and removed and reinstalled my portable devices. And still nothing. When I first plug the iphone in, it will to that auto play Windows 7 does and allows pictures to be saved onto the PC.
It seems like the syncing is working with some things and now others. Any idea's would be delightful??

I feel its more of my sync drivers for itunes/iphone not working if that makes sense. Its not my itunes that stops responding, its more of that if the phone syncs up it fails to anything further.

When I installed iTunes 11 on a Windows 8 system the installation did not seem to work correctly. There is no sidebar and no ribbon w/ File, Edit, etc. I tried to use an external hard drive to move from an older computer using XP to the new one w/ Wdw 8. I thought if I deleted iTunes from the Wdw 8, I could reload it. Apparently I did not delete the music files because they appeared in the format I complained about, no side bar or ribbon. Can anyone walk me through the process of deleting everything and reinstalling? I am not very computer savy so a step by step would really be appreciated.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

Since downloading itunes 10 my ipod's features are messed up. Currently I'm looking to delete apps. They no longer appear on left side of itunes screen. I try to click on apps on top of screen but apps are in a shadow mode and I can't click on them.

If you are completely confident that you didn't hide it, then you purchased those with different apple id. If you completely confident that you purchases with same apple id then you have hidden it. One of the other or you are speaking about a miracle. While miracles are possible they are not very likely. Remember
