Simple conversion needed

What i would like to be able to do is display teh HEX value of the number instead of the decimal value. I'm not sure how to do it, but i have the math right, so all I need to be able to do is conver 11 to B and 10 to A.. etc...
any help would be appriciated. THX

I looked everywhere for a solution - and I finally figured it out! Deleting my accounts didn't work, but here is what worked. This worked when my Gmail accounts were not sending properly. I'm not sure if it works for other e-mail services.
1. While in Mac Mail, click "Mail" in the top left corner of the screen
2. Click "Preferences"
3. Click "Accounts"
4. Select your account that isn't sending properly
5. In "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)" there will be two options - Gmail & Gmail (offline)
Make sure that "Gmail" is selected and NOT "Gmail (offline)"
If you navigate to another section in Preferences, it will ask you to SAVE - make sure you save your changes!
It worked for me, hope it works for you!

JMS Content Conversion - Need to control RecordSet per Message

I need to control RecordSet per Message ( similarlly we do for the FILE . that is , Recordset Structure = Records, 500 and Recordset per message = 1)
How to achive this in JMS adapter.

PR to PO conversion need work flow

Hi All,
We have scenario,
PR will get generated from Sales order -
this is already in place
PR to PO will be converted through background Job. -
this is already in place
Suppose if any PR fails during conversion to PO---- we need to notify the user who created sales order
If Anyone have experience on similar kind of scenario, your inputs are greatly appreciated

There is no such automate process for this but you can get the result via ME5A or add the custom code to send the fail reqs list to the user in your back ground PO job program.
The easy way is..set up the varian for ME5A with your third party item category (which is coming from sales e.g. in std SAP is 5) and keep the open reqs indicator on and run the ME5A. this will give him a least of open reqs.

Simple answer needed to complex question

I said "simple" because, although a Mac user for many years, I have no knowledge of the tech angle (which gets me in trouble regularly.)
In the last few days, my Safari started getting very slow on my iMac. I searched the forums and saw a suggestion that I discard a couple of files as well as "start in a safe mode" which required I do a restart with the shift key depressed.
Here is where the strangeness began. Upon a restart after the safe mode, it would fire up, then after a minute or so, it would shut down. This happened a number of times.
This is what I did: I started from my install disk and it fired up fine. I ran Disk Warrior and it resolved some issues, but said I had problems that could not be corrected.
I had installed Application Enhancer a week or so ago and had no problems with the restart.
Yes, I do have a number of 3rd party things, but have not suffered the failure to start that I now have.
I guess my question is this: Have I done something that cannot be undone by starting in "Safe Mode" and if so, how do I undo what has been done? Also, what is safe mode and could it have corrupted something?
By the way, I do not shut down any more or restart. I just let it sleep so that it will continue to run.
Please, any suggestions (other than the obvious "reinstall Leopard") would be greatly appreciated.

I just recently read a post where several people had major problems with Applications Enhancer and needed to uninstall that app to get rid of the problems.
When you ran Disk Warrior, what exactly did it fix and what were the problems that could not be resolved? Can you post or copy the screenshots/messages?

Assistance with conversion needed.

I have a bunch of short webm files which i would like to edit a bit and convert to small web sized flv files.
It's usually easiest to edit in photoshop because the edits are just in the sequencing, and the files have no audio.
quick and easy, doesn't take long to edit and be done with, just have a issue with the many file types.
I have also previously edited in Final Cut express and final cut pro, imovie, and idvd...
I have an awful lot of different kinds of video converters. previously, i would convert wmv files to mov files, edit or convert into dv files for final cut express.
I like the any video converter ultimate software, which can theoreticaly convert webm files to apple final cut, but results in an mp4, which the final cut does not recognize.
whew, there are so many brands of video conversion softwares.
call me cheap, but i've spent over $1500 for final cut/express/psd and do not want to spend a random $25 for a video converter.
is there a free mac software which can turn a webm or mp4 into a mov or dv file?
I might already have it, just too many to choose from.

Try MPEG Streamclip.
However, if you want to convert WMV files, you will need to get one of the patd versions of Flip4Msc.

Excuse my ignorance, but my knowledge of html is very
limited, which is why this question may seem simple.
I wondered if there was a way of making a text rollover
appear to be highlighted like with a highlighter pen. So in the
normal state it is just black text, but when you rollover it, it
has a coloured bar behind it covering the entire word?

You are confused about this. Image swapping is usually done
using
javascript (Java and javascript are completely different
things), and *some*
people have javascript turned off (maybe 5-10% of surfers)
for a variety of
different reasons.

The CSS I gave you could either be embedded in the head of
the page -

This CSS will affect *every* <a> tag on the page. If

Simple question - need to create a line that moves across the screen

Hello All;
Simple problem - I need to animate a line of a solid color that starts on the right and moves across the screen to the left. I know I can create a layer of a solid color and then animate the scale to sort of make it work but that changes both sides of the line and I need to only change the position of one side.
I know there are probably numerous ways of doing this - what is the easiest and most straightforward. Thanks.

24fps conversion needed?

I have FCPx4. Can I import media that is 24fps, 1080p? Do I have to convert it, and if so what would be a good codec to convert it to. And when I'm finished editing can I then export it to 24fps, 1080p? The person I'm editing this for wants to enter a film festival and his project will be shown on a big screen in a theater--jqs

Unfortunately FCE (Final Cut Express) has never supported 24fps. If you want to edit material shot as 24fps you will need to convert it somehow before importing into FCE. You might consider trying MPEG Streamclip.
Almost ditto for 1080p material. FCE does not directly support 1080p (progressive). It does support 720p25 & 720p30 progressive material. There are workarounds for using 1080p material in FCE ... it has been discussed extensively within the past year in this forum ... try searching the forum for techniques & answers.
FCE was designed to work with DV, HDV and AVCHD ... 480i, 1080i and 720p ... at nominal 25 and 30 fps. In actuality Quicktime/DV NTSC or PAL and QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec. Keep this in mind if you use a conversion program on your source material. If you have 1080p material you want to convert it to QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec for editing in FCE.

Power conversion needed

Moving to London from the US and trying to determine if my iMac needs a power converter or can I simply visit an Apple Store in the UK and obtain a UK based power cord or adaptor for US plug?

No 'power conversion' doodas required as the PSU is auto-sensing.
You will, though, require a UK plug adaptor. Yes, Apple do sell them but they are expensive. Much cheaper to buy one at the airport or an electrical store in London.

First off, Garageband or Logic? I've heard G-band is much simpler..
Also, I will be wanting to route a sampler, drum machine, bass, etc into the computer. Do I just need a midi interface to relay the instrument into the software?
Sorry for the ignorance...I've always been intimidated and I'm basically just looking to get set up here...

No, you will also need an audio interface (which may include a MIDI interface).

A G4 is an aging computer which some of the current versions of audio software will stress. Just something to consider.

Simple script needed

I work with InDesign doing text layout. I have used scripts, but have never had the time to learn JavaScript. I need what I assume is a fairly simple script. The script needs to do the following:
1. Open a document.
2. Ignore the missing font dialog box.
3. Load all text style from another file, with the styles from that file overwriting the styles in the current document.
4. Save the open document with the same name.
The script needs to be able to batch process all of the document in a folder.
If this is simple enough to do with several lines of code, I would appreciate it if someone could help me out. If it is more complex than that, I can possibly pay.

Actuate to BIP Conversion Need Help with Sum and Distinct

I am in the process of converting an Actuate report to BI Publisher .rtf format. Within the actuate report I have encountered the following code in one of the fields:
Sum([ssCalc])Distinct([ssProfessional_Id])
From what I understand this Actuate code is grouping by distinct ssProfessional_Id then taking the sum of the ssCalc field.
In my .rtf template I have the following:
<?for-each-group:ssSRA;./ssCIN?>
<?ssCalc?>
<?end for-each-group?>
I need to convert the Actuate code into the place where I currently have <?ssCalc?> in my template but I have no idea how I can translate translate this. Does anyone have any suggestions?????
