Simple Date parsing Error

Hello,
I have used Simple Date extensively and have recently found what I think may be a bug.
The API says that any string or character can be ignored in the input pattern by simply putting single quotes around it.
If I have a date in raw format as follows: 2007-07-19T08:00:00
I can use the input format yyyy-MM-dd'T'hh:mm:ss to parse this raw format above correctly. The single quotes around the T ignore this character in the parsing. This is fine.
However, now I have a new raw format I have to deal with, it appears like this: 2007-07-19 08:00:00Z
Now, SimpleDate handles the space just fine, however when I try to use this pattern, SimpleDate complains it cannot parse it.
yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss'Z'
I have tried with many different characters and configurations but it seems there is a common bug here. If there is a character that is surrounded by single quotes at the END of the pattern, SimpleDate throws an exception.
My question is should I be able to add ignored text in single quotes at any point in the pattern? Or are certain areas of the pattern off limits like the very end of the pattern?
Thank you in advance for your response.

jverd,
Further research showed our app was running in J#. Run the command calls directly worked fine for each example. I am looking into how our app translates the text entered in the input field. Thank you for testing though.

  • Date parse error while importing users from OIM to OIA (SRM 5.0.3)

    Hi All,
    Env Details:
    OIA (SRM 5.0.3), Weblogic and Oracle 10g DB
    We have integrated OIM to OIA with extended attributes mapping by modifying iam-context.xml file to load users. Its done successfully. But when we map "Date" related attribute, its giving "Date Parsing error" and its not loading the users.
    We have tried loading users using flatFile mechanism, its also giving same result.
    Please suggest me. Thanks in Advance !!!
    Regards,
    Ravi G.

    Hi,
    Its a problem with OOB's OIMIAMSolution.class file, which is called while importing users from OIM. It used DateParse () conversion method only for all attributes which OIA attributes' name is ends with "Date". It defined, the conversion of date from (yyyy-MM-dd). So its expecting the input value should be in defined format(yyyy-MM-dd), if not, it gives a parse error.
    We found work around for this as follows,
    We have used other related OIA attribute which name ends other than "Date" string.
    Thanks,
    Ravi G.

  • 3D data parsing error in Adobe Reader X 10.1.2

    Hello,
    I'm getting the annoying (and once fixed in version 9) 3D data parsing error with reader X 10.1.2 (on Windows 7 64bit), reading files that used to have no issues with previous versions (Italian locale). Anyone is having the same problem - or is able to give some suggestions? I've already tried to repair the installation, with no result. Any comment is greatly appreciated - this issue is causing major problems.
    Best regards,
    SV

    Hello,
    unfortunately it's a reserved document. I'll try to reproduce the issue with a different design and, if possible, I'll post a link to it.
    Thank you!

  • 3D PDFs in Adobe Reader - "3D Data Parsing Error"

    Hi,
    I have just updated my adobe reader to 9.4.2 and I am regreting it already.  I use 3D PDFs on a regular basis and the ones I have that worked perfectly fine in 9.4.1 now do not work.  They come up with:
    "A 3D Data Parsing Error has occured"
    Does anyone know why this happens and particularly how to fix it, preferablly without going back to the older version of adobe reader.
    Many thanks.

    hey mark,
    i've got the same problem after updating to 9.402 this message appears and i cannot open the 3d scene.
    I found this (http://forums.adobe.com/message/2537356#2537356) thread and this link in it (http://communities.bentley.com/communities/everything_else_community/f/289/p/47047/106414. aspx#106414).
    hope that these can help you.

  • EJB-QL Simple Join Parser error

    I can't even do a simple join in a named query without getting a toplink error as follows:
    The parser returned the following [unexpected token: join].
    I am following exact examples from the PRO EJB3 book. Can anyone please shed some light on this. Please
    Thanks,
    Thom

    Well, I figured this out thanks to another post on this forum. Since the EJB3 final is not fully implemented you have to use the EJBQL 2.1 syntax. That syntax does not include a join but uses an in. Hope this helps anyone else and I look forward to the full final being implemented.

  • SAP ER Connector 9.1.2.2  IDOC Data Parser Error to read custom segments

    Hi,
    We are in the trouble to find out the root cause of the issue in SAP Employee Reconciliation Connector 9.1.2.2 for processing idoc. As per our requirment, we need to retreive the field values in the custom segments(ZHR) other than the base segments(E2P). As we tried a lot for the couple of days and identified the custom segment filednames are not parsing by SAP HRMS Listener (in tRFC mode of communication).. The same idoc file works properly to retreive the value in the reconciliation event at "SAP User Reconciliation" (in file port). Its strange why it is not reading the idoc through listener. Will there be any db refresh or any configuration on SAP system required to do in tRFC mode of idoc file transfer?

    holy cow - my powers of observation are just horrible. The similarities were pretty amazing though. Thanks for that, and my apologies to the OP for the false accusation. (not only was the post by a different poster, but to this same group, so I missed it on a couple different points there).

    Please check whether the RFC imported by you contain the exact elements of XML.  I feel the RFC generated does not contain proper XML schema.

    I have created the Application Process Designer(APD) for ABC analysis. Here APD is saved and activated successfully. Now while executing, it fills the data to datatarget, but giving error "Error occurred in starting the PARSER.Error opening in RFC connection. Syntax error in MDX statement".
    In help, it says go to SM59 and test the connection of MDX parser. Now there testing is failing, but What I need to do to correct the connection?

  • Adobe Designer 7.0 - XML parsing error when data connection to XML with UTF-16

    Hi all
    <br />
    <br />I need to change my data connection xml file to use UTF-16 instead of ISO-8859-1. When I connect the file with the UTF-16 encoding, I receive the following error
    <br />
    <br />Invalid XML: Xml parsing error: encoding specified in XML declaration is incorrect (error code 19) ..
    <br />
    <br />The XML declaration is:
    <br /><?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
    <br />
    <br />I am able to succesfully set the encoding to "UTF-8". UTF-16 should also be possible.
    <br />
    <br />Has anyone seen this error before ? How can I resolve this ?
    <br />
    <br />Thanks in advance
    <br />
    <br />Bilal Haniff

    Thank you, expert, for your quick reply.
    Described problem got solved: we noticed later that the extra text only appears for users using Adobe professional 7.0, 'normal' users with adobe 8.0 reader don't get the extra text, so that is ok for us.

  • OIM date format parsing error on reconciliation

    Hi All,
    I am using OIM 9.0.3 . When I do the recon , I am able to retrieve user from source and created in OIM ,but one of my field is DATE and which I have map to start date.
    Recon Manager shows me that my date field having parsing error. I tried various date format ,but still the error is coming.
    I don't know which format OIM expecting for date type data for I am missing something. Please tell me .
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi All,
    I created a GTC connector with following configuration
    Staging Directory (Parent identity data): /home/GTC
    Archiving Directory: /home/GTC/archive
    File Prefix: PLC
    Specified Delimiter: |
    File Encoding UTF8
    Source Date Format yyyy/MM/dd hh:mm:ss z
    Reconcile Deletion of Multivalued Attribute Data check box cleared
    Reconciliation Type Full
    In the Configuration Mapping, I created a Status varaible and mapped it to OIM Object Status and changed the Data type of Last Logon TimeStamp to Date.
    The Layout of flat file PLC.csv.txt is like this:
    Account Name|Full Name|Domain|Last Logon Timestamp|Description|GUID|Mail|Employee ID|First Name|Last Name

  • Most simple query on Event Hub stream (json) constantly gives Data Conversion Errors

    Hello all,
    Been playing with ASA in December and didn't have any issues, my queries kept working and outputted the data as needed.  However, since January, I created a new demo, where I now constantly get Data Conversion errors.  The scenario is described
    below, but I have the following questions:
    Where can I get detailed information on the data conversion errors?  I don't get any point now (not in the operation logs and not in the table storage of my diagnostic storage account)
    What could be wrong in my scenario and could be causing these issues
    The scenario I have implemented is the following:
    My local devices send EventData objects, serialized through Json.Net to an Event Hub with 32 partitions.
    I define my query input as Event Hub Stream and define the data as json/utf8.  I give it the name TelemetryReadings
    Then I write my query as SELECT * FROM TelemetryReadings
    In the output, I create an output on blob with CSV/UTF8 encoding
    After that, I start the job
    The result is an empty blob container (no output written) and tons of data conversion errors in the monitoring graph.  What should I do to get this solved?
    Thanks

    So, apparently the issue was related to the incoming objects, I had.  I was sending unsupported data types (boolean and Dictionary).  I changed my code to remove these from the json and that worked out well.  There was a change that got deployed
    that (instead of marking the unsupported fields as null, they were throwing an exception).  That's why things worked earlier.
    So, it had to do with the limitation that I mentioned in my earlier comment:
    https://github.com/Azure/azure-content/blob/master/articles/stream-analytics-limitations.md
    Unsupported type conversions result in NULL values
    Any event vales with type conversions not supported in the Data Types section of Azure Stream Analytics Query Language
    Reference will result in a NULL value. In this preview release no error logging is in place for these conversion exceptions.
    I am creating a blog post on this one
