Simple makefile error???

Hi,
I'm trying to compile one of IBM's packages in Solaris 7, Workshop 5.0, and every single Makefile which contains the line "-include filename" results in a compile error. Could this be the result of a Solaris installation error? There are about 7 or 8 makefiles and most of them have this -include line. Any help is appreciated.

The error message is cryptic and does not identify the real problem.
The "-include filename" that you refer to is specific to GNU make and its variants, rather than the Solaris variant of make. I recently discovered this difference when porting a make file from GNU make to Solaris. The "-" tells the GNU make that if the file does not exist, keep going.
Take the "-" off of the include statement. Without the "-", make will exit with an error if the file does not exist. You may have to create the file or create a rule so that make can create it for you.

What kind of mapping is that ? Graphical, Java, XSLT, ABAP ?
The XML parser in 7.1 contains many subtle changes compared to 3.0
But this error sounds like a bug. Is there something special in the XML input ? is it wellformed-XML ?

Check the flag "use SAP XML toolkit" for the operation mapping and try, if that works then.
Check the flag for all XSLT and Java mappings which is migrated from PI 7.0

Splashutils Makefile error?

I have had some success with getting splashutils to build. I've been having terrible trouble with it for ages but finally hit upon at least half of the solution. Now I just need someone who knows C to figure out the last hurdle.
I have added klibc-beyond to [community], this provides the headers necessary to build splashutils; figuring that out was the first stage.
The next problem is a simple build error in the included jpeglib. Here is the short build log, which shows the errors. Here is the big build log with all the details. Finally, here is the PKGBUILD for gensplashutils as it currently stands.
Please help!

Fixed it and working - diff. That fixes both build errors. I have tested it and it seems to be fine.

Hi Vj,
The error logs are quite generic and do not seem to help much. If you are on windows, check the event viewer if there are any messages. You may want to check the Admin server's ".out" file too other than ".log" file.

Simple-replica error: access denied

I am trying to configure a simple replication agreement and I can not make it work. I have followed the Administrator Guide steps:
A.In the consumer:
1. Configure the DN for the supplier (cn=Replication Manager,cn=config)
2. Create the object for that user
3. Configure the replica as consumer (with the same supplied DN than before)
B. In the master:
1.Configure the change log.
2.Configure the replica as simple-master. I assigned to it the ID 1.
C. I created the replication agreement in the supplier server.
The results for all this process are:
1. Error in supplier: "replication error acquiring replica: permission denied. Error Code: 3"

It seems like the user is binding properly and looking for something that is not well configured in the consumer.
I am sure I am missing something because to configure the agreement should be very easy. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

The supplier is not finding the cn=Replication Manager,cn=config entry in
the consumer server. If it was, the second line in the consumer's access log
would look like:
[12/Dec/2001:17:04:58 -0400] conn=18 op=0 RESULT err=0 tag=97 nentries=0
etime=0 dn="cn=replication manager,cn=config"
Since it can't find the entry in the consumer server, your supplier is
binding anonymously, which obviously doesn't give it the permissions it
needs to update the consumer.
Are you sure you created the Replication Manager entry on the consumer? Can
you describe the configuration steps you tried, in more detail?

SIMPLE PID ERROR - Resource is being used

Hey guys,
I'm a beginner in using LabView, and currrently I've written a huge program, which is infact pretty simple, that takes an analogue input from the hall sensors of a BLDC motor I am running, and uses a PID block to output (via analogue output) the calculated values. I have uploaded an image of the program to this post. But I'm getting the following error when I try to run this:
The device resource is being occupied.
Please make sure that no other analogue output operation is running within the device.
As you can see I have only initialised the pin 1 on both the analogue input and analogue output, and am not too sure what this error is suggesting.
Any help is much appreciated, as I have my final year project deliverable in about a week. It's just this glitch that I have to sort out and I'm done.

Do those cards show up in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) ?
Using a VISA resource implies that they do. But since they are both called 1, it has to be referring to the same channel. Usually there is more to the name that distinguishes an analog input channel from an analog ouput channels such as AI1 vs. AO1. The 1 is just an alias to a particular channel. And two different channels can't have the same alias, otherwise how does LabVIEW know which channel to communicate with?
Check how they show up in MAX. I don't think you can legitmately name them the same. For grins, eliminate the analog output part of your code and see if you get an error. Then put it back in and eliminate the analog input part of your code and see if you get an error.

Trying to run simple servlet - error

          I am the first time user of Beas Weblogic & I am trying to run simple example
          servlets from Weblogic Console. However, when I try to LoadServlets, I get an
          error 'Property Change Error for Property "Load"; Unable to load servlet'

I have found out the cause. im pointing to the wrong classpath. it should be class12.zip instead of class111.zip, something i copied from my server running oracle8i.

Verity simple search error

When doing a type="simple" in a CFSEARCH, I am replacing the
spaces in the criteria with commas. The issue comes when the words
AND or OR appear in the criteria. So,
Love and Logic changes to
Love,and,Logic. For some reason, I get an error when this
happens. The CFCATCH variables come back as follows:
erType = "SearchEngine"
erMessage = "There was a problem while attmpting[sp] to
perform a search."
erDetail = "------ Query has a parsing error. (-40) at
com.verity.k2.K2Search.receive(Unknown Source) at
com.verity.search.ProcessSearch.processNormal(Unknown Source)...
et. al."
Note the typo.
My work-around is to treat the converted criteria as a list
object and remove any AND's and OR's that are found, but I'd rather
not add the admittedly tiny processing time.
This seemed to work just fine before we went to CF7. Any
ideas?

Rather than using named bind variables use positional bind variables like :1, :2, etc and bind all the variables. Don't repeat the bind variables in the SQL statement.

[SOLVED] pacman.conf simple line error or... ?

So here's what happened:
I was trying to enable the [multilib] repository. (As according to https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Multilib).
Thus, I went ahead and uncommented the following from /etc/pacman.conf:

SigLevel = PackageRequired
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
To edit /etc/pacman.conf, I used LibreOffice Writer. I saved the file as a .txt document and made sure that it is properly renamed as pacman.conf.
Next, I went to update pacman's package list by running pacman with the -Sy switch.
And then, voila:
# pacman -Sy
error: config file /etc/pacman.conf, line 1: All directives must belong to a section.
However, when looking at pacman.conf I don't see any errors in line 1. Nor do I see any problems with directives.

LibreOffice Writer is a word processor - it will do odd things to your .conf files. Use a text editor. If you don't want to use vi, then use nano, or gedit or anything other than a word processor.

I try to compile .lsb file via VC++6 accorrding to the instrunction below:
1.Create a makefile (using Notepad or something equivalent) with the following lines:
name=name_of_c_file_without_the_extension

cinlibraries=Kernel32.lib
CINTOOLSDIR=path_to_cintools_directory (in MS-DOS formatc:\progra~1\nation~1\Labvie~1\cintools\)
!include <$(CINTOOLSDIR)\ntlvsb.mak>
Save this file with the filename "name_of_c_file.mak" and save it in the
same directory as the C file.
2. launch VC++.
Choose File -> Open (NOT Open Workspace)
Open the makefile that you just created.
get a dialog that says that the makefile was not created with VC++ (choose to proceed)
Now, another dialog that will ask what kind of platform to use (choose Win32)
Now, the makefile is loaded and the CIN is ready to be built. Choose Build.
But I got the follwoing error:
fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'extcode.h': No such file or directory
Error executing cl.exe.
Can any body tell me why?

You need to tell Visual C where it should find your header files.
This is done under Tools->Optionsirectories:Include Directories. There you add an entry to your LabVIEW cintools directory.
Alternatively you can completely avoid the Visual C development environment and add a line
include=$(CINTOOLSDIR)
to your makefile. Open a command line, change the current directory to
the directory where your makefile and CIN source is and type "nmake -f
<your makefile>"
And even better would be to forget about CINs and create your C code as
DLL instead. There you can use the Visual C IDE to develop and debug
your DLL just as you would any other C project. The Call Library Node
since about LabVIEW 6.0 has really the same features as what you could
do with a CIN (except a few very esoteric things I can guarantee you
will never even want to know about).

Unable to consume a simple SAPWebService error "not JSR 172 Compliant"

Hi,
Am trying to consume a simple webservice which was created by exposing a function module. The consumer of this WS is a J2ME application.
Usually we the framework(or IDE or other tools) will help us in creating the stubs(proxy classes) when provided the WS wsdl URL .I tried in C#.dotnet and i was able to create the stubs and consume it. Now when i try it J2ME ->NetBeans IDE-> STub generator->same wsdl url, i get an error "not JSR 172 compliant". FYI, JSR 172 is the spec for WS consumption by a Java 2 MicroEdition(J2ME) applications[http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=172].
My question: How can i make or what are the other settings that i have to do in SOAManager to make this JSR 172 compliant.
FYI, i just created a helloworld function module in ABAP and created a enter. service. In soamanager i have not done anyother setting other the default settings the comes.
Any inputs on this would be really helpful.

I haven't worked with this before but I did some quick reading and it looks like you have your work cut out for you, you can't just use the WSDL as is for J2ME...Refer to the "Stub Generation and Invocation" section of the document below:

Simple RMI error

I'm trying to compile and execute a simple RMI example. The compilation is OK.
The rmiregistry is running.
I'm using windows and java 1.5
I have the files:
Server <== the Server
myStudentImpl <== remote object
myStudent <== interface
myStudentImpl_Stub <== the Stub of myStudentImpl (generated by rmic)
When I'm trying to execute the command from the Server file
Naming.rebind("john",student);
I'm getting an error.
Error:RemoteException occurred in server thread; nested exception is:
java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling arguments; nested exception is:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: myStudentImpl_Stub
Then I executed

Probably, I have a mistake with the environment variables.
